Great location right on the lake in the middle of town. Breakfast was great and office staff very friendly. We booked a room overlooking lake with a balcony but rarely used it as it was too hot and there is no cover/umbrella for shade. Other than that it was good.

Upon checking in, I informed the staff there was an extra room booked in error due to an Expedia account issue. Hotel refused to help at all. Disappointing customer service, I wouldn’t recommend. Really too bad given I booked four months in advance for our wedding trip.

The staff at the reception and at the Riva restaurant were amazing.The breakfast was still great.If you need public parking , mainly at Autosilo Comunale Ascona, or any public parking , be aware that the City of Ascona does not offer to canadians or us residents the 6 francs rebate for 24hours, so you will pay 24 francs and not 18 francs.On the previous stays the hotel use to offer a rebate, but no more.So,I think the hotel shoud say something or do something about it as is also a matter of principle.Why I could not get the same rebate as EU or UK visitors ?

Great experience in an amazing locatio

This is a very tasteful hotel. The staff is amazing and very helpful. I love the set up. My only concern was that the rooms are mot properly isolated, which means that I could hear what happens in the adgaisant rooms - sadly my neighbors were very very loud and the volume of their tv a lot higher than normal. So, no negative comments about the hotel. I had a nice single room with a view to the lake.

The room was clean and big enough for one night. I found the Mattress to be very very very hard. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she said that they have soft toppers available. How would I know or find out about it? Reception closed at 20.00H
I would not call this a Boutique style Hotel, it does not have that cozy feel of what I would call a \"Boutique style\" Hotel.

Also: The Hotel is located in the Pedestrian zone, so it is quite a hassle getting to the Hotel and dropping your luaggage off. Parking is, if reserved at a Parkinglot a bit away from the Hotel.

Nice weekend trip to Ascona

We've been to Ascona many times now, but wanted to have lakeview at the lakefront. Our room was in one of the buildings a little further away than we thought, but we still had a decent view of the lake. Unfortunately it was very windy, so we didn't spend much time on the balcony. The room had a good size, was clean and the receptionists were friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Location

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during a 2-week trip to Switzerland. The location was absolutely outstanding as it's conveniently located to a number of shops and restaurants, and that iconic view of Ascona. Our room was very nice, despite issues with the air conditioner leaking when we tried to use it. Our only complaint was that we had asked for a lake view, but our balcony only allowed us to see a sliver of the lake. Otherwise, it was very nice. Driving here? They have convenient parking, but it feels a little daunting when you first arrive. It's actually very easy and a convenient 2-3-minute walk. There's a great gelato shop to the right when you're leaving the hotel, and a very nice Italian restaurant (Osteria Nostrana) to the left. They had a nice breakfast offering, too!

Very nice hotel in a stunning location. Only negative is that the rooms have no air conditioning and when it’s 35 degrees Celsius outside, a mere fan is not going to do it.

Nachdem wir etwas nach 21.00 das Hotel erreicht haben hat uns eine Angestellte der Rezeption nach ihrem Feierabend auf der Strasse erkannt und uns überaus freundlich beim Check-in geholfen und alles gezeigt, was alles andere als selbstverständlich war.
Das Zimmer war zweckmässig eingerichtet und sauber. Leider liegt die Nr 313 im 1. Stock an einer Seitenstrasse mit Pflastersteinen. Die Fenster liessen sich nicht komplett abdunkeln und es war laut.
Das Frühstück war vielfältig, frisch und gut.

Das Zimmer war sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und das Bett war sehr bequem. Im Bad war es leider sehr eng und man hatte keine Ablagemöglichkeit. Der Nachttisch war sehr unpraktisch, da alles heruntergefallen ist. Er schliesst nicht mit der Wand ab. Das Frühstück war fantastisch, hatte eine grosse Auswahl und hat alle Wünsche erfüllt. Die Lage war auch sehr gut, direkt am See. Wir werden bestimmt noch einmal wieder kommen.

Leider gab es im gebuchten Zimmer ein Defekt und ich konnte aufgrund der Auslastung nur gegen einen Aufpreis und verhandeln für ein Dopoelzimmer, Zimmer wechseln. Sehr schade da ich für den Defekt nichts konnte und das Zimmer so gar nicht belegt werden dürfte. Scheinbar kommt es aber darauf wer an der Reception ist. Bei einem anderen Mängel in einem Zimmer haben sie rasch und unkompliziert reagiert.
Die Badezimmer sind zwar modern weisen aber aber bei den Ecken schwarze Flecken auf und auch der Duschkopf dürfte besser gereinigt werden.
Lage ist absolut top und in der Reisezeit kaum Lärm in der Nacht.

Das Zimmer respektive die Dusche war sehr klein, auch wenn es nur ein Standard Zimmer ist. Auch die Abstellfläche hat gefehlt. Die Aussicht an eine Hauswand war auch nicht so berauschend.
Die Auskunft betreffend Beach war nicht korrekt. Der Eintritt sei gratis und Badetücher seien vor Ort. Stimmt aber zum Preis von CHF 120 pro Tag!
