A beautiful setting right on Lake Maggiore. Our room was spacious, had a refrigerator and coffee maker which we appreciated. The staff at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful with answering questions. Breakfast was very good and there are great hiking options nearby.

I loved this hotel - it’s on the lake and near one of the main stages of the Ascona jazz festival, which I attended. The bedding was so soft and comfortable! Staff were very helpful and friendly. I recommend it and would return.

I took s last minute trip to Ascona and had wonderful luck booking a room overlooking the lake. The room was comfortable, had a petite balcony with a table and two chairs, and the bath was modern. The staff were AMAZING and Friendly. The food was delightful. Bteakfast was a typical European buffet, and eggs and bacon could be made to request. I will definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Our family had a nice one night stay at the hotel. It is perfectly centrally located. The room has been updated recently and has a nice design. Our view of the bay was wonderful. The front desk was very nice and professional and the breakfast in the morning was great. Overall it was a very nice stay and parking up the street was easy to find, but contact the hotel prior to your stay to get directions.

We spent just one night at the hotel and we were not disappointed. We had a lake facing room with a small balcony, the views are amazing. Location is perfect, right on the promenade with easy access to restaurants, boutique stores, the local Coop and to water activities.
If however you are looking for a 'noise free' environment then consider an alternative location. There is constant activity on the promenade, including 'pop-up' informal stores setup for evening trade, etc.
Parking for hotel guests is a short walk from the hotel through the steep cobbled narrow streets. Best is to drive up to the hotel entrance on the promenade, offload bags and then drive to the parking area.
Overall our experience was excellent, we'd book at Albergo Carcani again, without question.

Das Hotel war sehr gut und sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr freudlich und die Drinks und das Essen war gut. Schade ist nur das wenn das Restaurant sehr voll ist das man relativ lange Wartezeiten hat weil es für soviele Leute meiner Meinung nach zu wenig Personal hat. Jedoch alles in allem trotdem top ich werde das Hotel wieder buchen. Für ein Weekendtrip ideal umd sehr Zentral direkt an der Promenade.

Schöne Unterkunft mit nahegelegenem Parkplatz (wenn auch nicht einfach reinzukommen). Das Frühstücksbuffet hat eine grosse Auswahl und bietet mit automatischer Orangen-Saftpresse einen zusätzlichen Bonus. Kaffee bzw. Cappuccino war frisch und gut. Speziell zu betonen ist die grossartige Lage am Lago Maggiore. Die Balkone sind zwar sehr klein, aber haben immerhin platz für zwei Stühle und einen kleinen Tisch mit Sicht auf die Piazza Giuseppe Motta (Promenade von Acona).

In diesem traditionellen, sanft renovierten Hotel an bester Lage, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück gut und mit grosser Auswahl. Nur der etwas kitschige, gemalte Vorhang an der Zimmerwand, entsprach nicht ganz unserem Geschmack.

Das Personal/der Service war sehr gut, das Fühstück ebenfalls. Leider, aber das ist halt extrem wichtig, war es (zu) laut... Hörte den einen Zimmernachbar schnarchen, da war ständig irgendein Geklopfe/und Gerumple, und die ganze Nacht hat irgendwas unregelmässig gedröhnt (wie ein Ventilator, der starten will, aber es nicht schafft), so dass ich kaum schlafen konnte. Sehr schade, weil alles andere eigentlich super war, aber eben, wenn man nicht schlafen kann wegen dem Lärm, ist das halt richtig schlecht!
