The Sol Foundation conference was worthwhile, though less engaging than expected. The venue felt cramped, and the bed was undersized and uncomfortably firm. Dining was disappointing by Italian standards—uninspired dishes, with off-tasting bacon and overly runny eggs, compounded by unaccommodating restaurant staff. Bar great ... kid in Hall ...Buzz off
Highlights:
The €100 massage was truly exceptional—one of the best I’ve experienced—and the pool attendant was remarkably kind and attentive.
Concerns:
At checkout, the hotel attempted to charge €50 for pressing a dress I never owned, which was troubling.
Recommendation:
A pleasant location overall, but future guests should request a room upgrade and temper expectations regarding service and dining.

It was fantastic! We had a wonderful experience. The room was great with a breathtaking view on the lake. There was plenty of space with big wardrobes. Everything new. Very quiet. The breakfast was great, accommodating a vegan diet. The personal was very friendly. And eating while overlooking the lake and enjoying the breeze on the terrace was an exceptional experience. Very neat swimming pool with plenty of space to accommodate guests. I wished we could stay longer. I would totally recommend it to everyone!

Spectacular location and view.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Casa Berno. The pool is gorgeous, the view breathtaking and the staff friendly and attentive. We hated to leave and hope to return.

A Stay overlooking Ascona

Casa Berno is a beautiful hotel on the side of the mountain with great lake views. The hotel is very clean and well appointed. The staff does a great job of service, but their English is limited. Food was very good and well presented and prepared, even if a bit expensive for dinner. If you are driving, getting to the hotel on a narrow two way road that is only capable of one car getting through in many places is a bit of a challenge and parking is tight. We were there in mid June and it was in the mid 80 degrees Fahrenheit. That made if very warm sleeping without air conditioning. They did have electric fans available which made it bearable. Getting down to Ascona only take a short time and it, and the surrounding towns and valleys, is a wonderful place to visit.

Beautiful Location

This was our second stay at Casa Berno which has a stunning view of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. The hotel is very comfortable and we enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner on the terrace which also has a nice bar.

Schönes Hotel mit super Ausblick.
Leider haben wir die alten Zimmer bekommen und nicht die modernisierten.
Speissekarte ist sehr klein und hatte uns nicht so angesprochen, ist jedoch auch immer geschmack sache. Frühstück war sehr lecker und ausgiebig.

Teuer und mit allem wird Geld gemacht.

Superior wurde gebucht und das Zimmer hatte Teppichboden drin! Für mich als Allergiker nicht machbar. Auch war dies bei der Buchung nicht ersichtlich. Anderes Zimmer nur mit Aufpreis buchbar! Mein Status wurde nicht berücksichtigt. Der Mehrpreis wurde bei der Bezahlung bemängelt, aber es wurde in keinster Weise darauf eingegangen. Ich wurde ständig von der Mitarbeiterin unterbrochen und habe im Endeffekt einfach bezahlt. Teures Hotel, bei dem mit allem Geld gemacht wird. Sehr schade. Ansonsten ist das Hotel positiv zu bewerten, außer der sehr laute Bach, der direkt neben dem Hotel verläuft. Altes Gebäude, dass sehr hellhörig ist.

마조레호수의 멋진 풍광을 만끽할 수있는 가성비 최고의 숙소~~ 아스코나 도시와 호수를 가까이 둔 낮은 지역에있는 호텔들보다 호수뷰를 더 잘 즐길 수 있다.
최고의 직원들 서비스와 이태리와 가까워서인지 조식의 가성비가 더 좋았다.
가족들끼리 오는 독일인.이태리인들이 많은걸보아 이미 유럽인들에게 소문이 난 곳인듯! 룸도 사이즈가 큰편이라 쾌적하다.

Toller Ausblick und persönlicher Service

Wir waren jetzt schon das 3. Mal in diesem Hotel,
Abgesehen von der etwas komplizierten Anfahrt immer wieder schön. Vor allem der Blick auf den Lago Maggiore ist traumhaft.
Das Fitnessstudio und der Saunabrereich ist relativ klein, aber sehr schön.
Das Abendessen war ok, hatte aber noch Luft nach oben…
Der Service war sehr gut. Schön war auch, das mehrmals am Tag ein kostenloses Shuttle nach Ascona gefahren ist.

Geweldig hotel, met een waanzinnig uitzicht en met fantastisch personeel.
Minpunt, geen waterkoker of koffieapparaat op de kamer. Vrijwel alle kamers wel. Deze kamer was nog niet gerenoveerd ?? Hierdoor gedwongen om elke dag in de bar een kop koffie à 5,50 per stuk te bestellen.

Sehr gutes Hotel. Tolle Aussicht, gutes Personal, sauber, ruhig. Etwas abgelegen, mit enger und kurviger Anfahrt, aber es lohnt sich.
Wir empfehlen das Casa Berno mit gutem Gewissen.

Ein bleibendes Erlebnis in herrlicher Umgebung

Das Hotel ist uns von den Wanderungen der letzten Jahre zwischen Ronco und Ascona von außen bekannt. Es hat eine tolle Lage im Hang und ist mit einer parkähnlichen begehbaren Anlage im Umfeld ausgestattet. In der Außenanlage befindet sich auch der großzügige und beheizte Pool, der selbst in der Frühsaison (März 2022) gut nutzbar war. Auf mehreren Etagen ist es möglich, Essen Snacks oder Getränke einzunehmen. Der sehr freundliche Service tat hier gut. Dies trifft auch auf die Gestaltung des Frühstücks im großzügigen Innenraum des Hotels zu, an dem nichts fehlte. Die Küche das Hauses glänzte mit verschiedenen Kreationen (zum Leidwesen unserer Figur, denn an \"Abnehmen\" war da nicht wirklich zu denken - nur an Genießen). Ein vom Hotel eingesetzter Shuttle-Bus gehörte zum sehr zuverlässigen und schnellen Service. So wie unser Empfang bei Urlaubsantritt, auch die Verabschiedung am Empfang. Sehr freundlich und menschlich nicht auf plakatives Äußeres ausgelegt. Einfach vertraut und aufgefangen zu sein. Für uns ein sehr schöner Kurzurlaub anläßlich unseres Hochzeitstages - Besten Dank dem gesamten Team des Hotels.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Besonders das neu renovierte Zimmer mit einem Balena WC hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Der Service an der Reception und im Restaurant war sehr gut. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker, jedoch hoher Preis.
Dusche in einer sehr hohen Badewanne, nicht dem heutigen Standard entsprechend. Mischbatterie war defekt, wurde nach Meldung zwar repariert, hielt jedoch nur bis zum nächsten Duschen.
Anreise mit Hund zusätzlich CHF 18.00.

Das Casa Berno hat eine wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore ist aber leider etwas abgelegen und man braucht halt das Auto oder ein Taxi um nach Ascona zu gelangen. Das Hotel bietet zwar auch einen gratis Shuttle Service an aber der letzte fährt ca. 17:30 Uhr von Ascona zurück. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Es war alles immer sehr sauber und es wurde auch immer wieder alles im Bad aufgefüllt. Wir haben ein Abendessen auf der wunderschönen Terrasse eingenommen. Der Blick ist atemberaubend, das Essen war gut aber nichts spezielles. Es gibt dort auch Anschlüsse für Elektroautos, diese sind aber ständig mit anderen Autos besetzt, was definitiv nicht die Idee sein sollte. Diese müssten speziell am Boden bezeichnet werden und auch NUR von E-Autos besetzt sein. Zudem hat unsere Stecker auch nicht in den Anschluss gepasst, auch nicht mit unserem eigenen Kabel. Der Parkplatz hingegen war gratis und es gibt auch genügend für alle. Der Poolbereich ist schön gestaltet, auf verschiedenen Etagen, so hat man auch hier ein wenig seine Privatsphäre, wenn man das will. Das Publikum war als wir da waren eher älter, also über 65 Jahre. Für Kinder ist es nicht geeignet, was aber auch einmal schön ist für Paare die lieber ruhe haben. Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen aber eben, die Lage. Wir bevorzugen ein Hotel bei dem man am Abend zu Fuss nach Ascona kann. Wer aber gerne Halbpension bucht ist hier bestimmt im richtigen Hotel.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal! Aussicht vom Zimmer wunderbar. Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber! Schlecht war nur der Wifi-Empfang. Meine Frau feierte während unserem Aufenthalt Ihren Geburtstag, Nach dem sehr reichhaltigem Frühstück, war eine Flasche Sekt mit einer von Hand geschriebenen Glückwunschkarte, auf unserem Zimmer! Gerne kommen wir beim nächsten Tessinwochenende auf dieses Hotel zurück!

Zimmer o.k., kleiner Balkon. Wunderschöne Aussicht. Sehr freundliche Und hilfsbereite Receptions Mitarbeiterinnen! Gutes Restaurant mit toller Aussicht. Hybrid Auto konnte leider nicht geladen werden, nur Tesla oder mit normalem Stromkabel (kein Typ 2). Schöner Pool.

Très bel hôtel mais adapté aux suisses allemands

Très bel hôtel. Vue à couper le souffle sur Ascona et le lac. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très confortables. La lunette de WC avec la douche intégrée est une plus value appréciable. Cependant, cet hôtel semble géré par des suisses allemands. Par conséquent, autant la clientèle que le personnel le sont également. J’ai été déçu de me retrouver au tessin où lorsque l’on parle au personnel en italien on s’entend nous répondre en suisse allemand. Même en insistant, pas de résultat. Il semblerait que l’italien ne soit même pas maîtrisé ? Privilégiez un hôtel local si vous voulez vraiment vous sentir au tessin.
