Bad first impression looks rundown very dated inside too all very empty - woman on reception no customer service skills no smile tried to charge us twice. Room very clean but not even a china cup just 2 paper cups no teaspoons and awful poor selection of coffee/ tea. Had to put kettle on floor to heat as cable too short.
I know it's off season but some customer service would be nice. Great view of sea don't bother booking a room without a sea view as it made the stay better. Cracked broken glass screen on the balcony looks very dodgy.

This is a lovely property right on the beach. Good breakfast and easy to walk anywhere for lunch or dinner with the boardwalk right outside the pool area. Can’t beat it. Would stay here again on our next visit to Arcachon

Bad service at reception

Our room was not ready at the 3pm checkin time, and we were not given any reason.. the older woman at tge reception just said no when I asked if I could check in, I asked if she could tell me how long the wait might be so I could decide to go out. She said 15min , I sat in reception where she could see me, I waited 25min and asked again and another woman said yes I can check in now.. all the while letting me sit there. I am fine waiting, I know delays happen, but to not apologize or give an explanation was bad service.

The property is in a great location and right on the beach. Within walking distance to the centre for restaurants and activities.
The pool and pool area are spotless and a great place to relax off the beach.
Our room overlooked the pool and beach and our balcony was a great place for sundowners watching the sunset.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
We had a wonderful stay for 5 nights in May.

Pix better than reality, old fashion look and feel. Great outdoor swimming pool but cold water!
Nice Jacuzzi (10€/pers extra) but so much chlore than our eyes were crying due to the chemical burning.... when mentioned to staff, no reaction
All in all, OK for 1 night stay with modest expectation.

I had read previous reviews about this hotel and the only negative I would agree with is some aspects of our room were \"dated\". But, with that anticipated, I was overall delighted with our stay. We booked a room with a sea view and there was no question that it had one. Value for money this hotel is right up there. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was excellent and our room was clean. Okay, so the toilet seat didn't match the toilet and was a bit loose, the mirror fronted cabinet over the basin was too low for me to see me face in when shaving, but they has a side mirror too, so these little points were too insignificant to make this anything other than an enjoyable stay at a very pleasant hotel set in a great position with great views and a 15min stroll into town.

Fantastic location lovely hotel bu a little tatty

the hotel is in a fantastic location backing onto the beach with half of the rooms having an amazing sea view which is out of this world. You can see the sun set and rise from the rooms in the hotel. Only a short walk from the center of town where all of the bars and restaurants can be found. The hotel staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean in general. The only downside is that the hotel is a little dated and looks untidy from the rear. The hotel is in need of some TLC.

The good and bad

We booked the Arc Hotel as an overnight stop on our way to the South of France. On check-in the receptionist confirmed that our stay was pre-paid. She was very helpful and provided a map of the local area. The hotel is in a great location with direct access to the beach, our room was spacious and overlooked the garden. We spent an enjoyable afternoon in Arcachon and in the evening found a delightful restaurant close to the hotel which served very good food. On our return to the hotel we found that while there was a bar it was not staffed. When asked the receptionist brought drinks to our room. However, in the morning, on check-out, the morning receptionist demanded full payment, not only for local taxes and our drinks, but also for the room charge. Even when we showed her Hotels.com booking confirmation, which clearly confirmed our pre-payment, she was insistent that full payment must be paid. Unhappily we presented our credit card, which for some unknown reason was refused. We therefore paid in cash. We contacted Hotels.com immediately on arrival at our destination. At the time of writing this review our dispute over double payment with the Arc Hotel and Hotels.com has still not been resolved. This has not been a happy experience.

This place has the best location on the beach and close to all restaurants and shopping. You have your own pool outside which is protected by the wind by glass so you can still take in the view. Overall this place is great value!

Room with a garden view at the beach

The hotel is on the water close to everything. Our room was at the front ( no view) but it had beautiful trees outside and we felt we were in a garden. Nice balcony. The bathroom was tub only with a hand held shower head. Awkward to work but the hotel price and everything else including wonderful staff made it a great stay!

Nice hotel on the beach

My 5th stay here. Always my favorite place to stay in Arcachon. Shops and restaurants nearby, and the main beach restaurants are a short walk on the wooden boardwalk promenade along the beachfront. Parking is tight and the breakfast area a bit small, but overall a pleasant experience.

The pictures on the web are a little more luxurious than in actual life.
Wifi was very intermittent. Had to keep logging on every little while. Our fellow travelers could not log in from their room. They had to go down to the lobby for their phones to get wifi.

No refrigerators in room. Given one bottle of water the first day in our room. None the next two days...said we could buy.
Shower situation was very old fashioned. Toilet broke...but they did fix it.

Pleasant stay, on the beach!

We stayed 2 nights. The room was rather dates in style the bathroom toilet and bath were separate, there was no shower attachment which for us was a bit different since we are used to showers not baths. The room was clean though with a working to and air conditioning. The balcony was pleasant with a view of surrounding neighbourhood from our 3rs floor room. The hotel lobby is quite spacious with a fountain and snooker table. The pool is heated and well kept. The leisure fitness facilities were limited there are 4 machines use of the jacuzzi and sauna are at an additional cost which we didn't know people to booking and also need to be booked 24 hrs in advance. Overall we enjoyed our stay though being so close to the beach was nice and the Center of town is only a 10 min walk away. Breakfast was available at our hotel but we didn't take it so can't comment on this the price did seem a little steep in comparison to other places we'd been.

Relaxing seaside break

We had a lovely relaxing break here last week . The room had breathtaking views over the beach and sea and we had a lovely balcony.The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have only two small complaints. I ordered the basic breakfast to be brought to the room on our first morning and the more expensive one came and at €18 each a lot to pay and not good value. We would also have like a proper shower rather than a spray at the end of the bath, without even a hook to make a shower. We would come back as the area is really pretty and beach very clean.

A lovely hotel right on the beach. A nicely served breakfast. The shower is a bit awkward, with only the hand-held head and no curtain.
Not much English spoken, but enough to get by. Just a short walk to the center and the casino. Parking is a real plus.There is a pool for the warmer weather. I stay here whenever I am in this area.

Sehr schön am Strand gelegen. Parken ist kostenfrei auf dem Hotel Gelände. Wenige Minuten Fußweg in den Ort und zu Restaurants und Bars.

Vi besökte hotellet off season och upplevde det rymligt och rent. Det visar upp ålderstecken på gymmet som skulle behöva fungerande maskiner och kanske handdukar och rengöringsspray så man kan torka av maskinerna efter användning. Trevlig frukost som var välskött. Roligt att kunna koka sina egna frukostägg. Bra med parkering för bil på gården. Toppenläge vid stranden och strandpromenaden. Nära till restauranger och matbutik.

L'emplacement près de la ville d'Arcachon permet de s'y rendre à pied, et de laisser la voiture au parking de l'hôtel. La vue de la chambre côté mer est magnifique, elle donne également sur la piscine extérieure .
Proposer deux formules de petit déjeuner est une bonne idée cependant le prix de la nuit est assez élevé et devrait inclure le petit déjeuner car l'accès au spa demande aussi un supplément.
Attention à l'entretien de l'hôtel...une porte intérieure de chambre est rongée dans le bas et n'est pas repeinte contrairement au reste de la chambre

Si vous avez une grande voiture garez vous bien entre les lattes de bois presque inexistantes manque d entretien du parking trous, herbes folles
La chambre balcon côté plage superbe vue si vous ouvrez les fenêtres sinon vous ne verrez pas grand chose tant elles sont sales,poussières au dessus du lit quand au luminaire n en parlons pas.
La salle de bain serait aussi à refaire.
A ce prix pour une nuit on attends mieux nous avons fréquenté de nombreux établissements moins cher et plus propre...

Rien à dire sur le séjour qui a été trop court pour exprimer un avis. Par contre, si vous achetez des sujets exposés en vitrine, faites attention! Jai eu une mésaventure. En effet, j'ai acheté 4 sujets ( 2 huîtres bougies,une feuille forme coupelle et une coquille de noix de saint jacques) et arrivée chez moi il n'y a que 3 sujets, la coupelle noix de st jacques est absente. J'ai contacté l'hôtel qui bien sûr met ma parole en doute, je ne peux qu'être la responsable...

Nous avons payer juste pour la vu car l'equipement de la chambre est très leger. Un bon raffraichissement serait a prévoir ainsi que l'insonorisation des chambres afin d'eviter d'entendre les ebats de la chambre voisine.
De plus notre chambre n'etait pas prête lorsque nous sommes arrivés a 15h30, nous avons du attendre après 3h de voiture et avec une femme enceinte fatiguée

L’ambiance de l’hotel est très austère. La moquette dans les couloirs tachée, la piscine est sale malgré un robot de nettoyage qui n’est jamais débranché même pendant les horaires d’ouverture. Du coup je ne m’y suis jamais baigné, d’ailleurs je n’ai vu personne le faire. L’hotel est mal entretenu. On voit plein de choses cassés rafistolés avec du scotch. Le personnel n’est pas souriant et dégage un sentiment d’agacement plus que de service. Prendre une chambre à plus de 200€ la nuit et être surveillé lorsqu’on prend le petit déjeuner à 7€ de ne pas prendre ce qui est dans la formule à 13€ est complètement décalé. On a l’impression d’être chez quelqu’un en permanence et non dans un hotel.

Reception plutôt tiède. Piscine ne correspondait pas à notre atttente (15 personnes max à la fois-cause covid, taille réduite,1heure max par jour!). Obligation de payer la totalité du séjour dès l'arrivée!!! Une bouteille d'eau de 25cl offerte pour la totalité du séjour de 10 nuits, malgré un tarif de 200 euros quotidien. Petit déj \"à volonté\" à condition de ne pas tout prendre sinon le prix augmente etc

Je déconseille fortement cet hôtel! A ce prix c’est du vol… 200€ la nuit pour une chambre vue sur parking… une douche étroite dont la largeur ne dépasse pas celle d un homme adulte… déco affreuse… tout est vieillot et comme beaucoup de monde présent dans cet établissement, nous avons réservé cette chambre car les autres hôtels était complet… mais évitez et réserver en avance! Beaucoup d autre établissement de qualité… juste pour vous faire une idée : 8€ les 2 bouteilles d’eau plate d’abatilles… c est le prix dans un hôtel de standing, d une propreté irréprochable et d’un service digne de ce nom. Heureusement nous avons évité le petit déjeuner !

hotel de bon standing, chambres modernes, situé idéalement sur le front de mer, parking privé. seul bemol la piscine n'est pas chaufféee et presque toujours à l'ombre ce qui est un problème pour se baigner; meme en plein mois d'aout.

Très bien

Hôtel très pratique devant la plage et à 10mn à pied du plein centre. Il y a un parking.
Petit déjeuner au bord de la piscine très agréable. Les chambres sont refaites, très calme côté parking, lit douillet, petite terrasse. Les normes covid sont bien respectées. On le recommande!

Séjour agréable, très belle vue sur la mer. Petit déjeuner sur la terrasse de la piscine. L’hôtel est assez proche du centre ville et le personnel est très serviable.

le petit déjeuner vraiment basique ne va pas avec le prix des chambres qui est celui d'un 4 étoiles sans mini bar ni coffre......

Le séjour s'est très bien passé, le personnel est serviable, le petit déjeuner est présenté en deux formule une express et une complète, la chambre était agréable.
Et surtout cet hotel a une vraie ambiance et un style interieur non neutre ce qui est devenu rare.

La réception de l’hôtel était bien mais en remontant à l’étage j’étais un peu déçu de la chambre un peu vieillotte en plus la chasse d’eau ne marchait pas ils ont été la réparer et tout de suite après on parle à nouveau la connexion Internet ne marchait pas non plus par compte la vue était super
