Todos los años vamos a Villa Regina y nunca nos cansamos. Está muy bien situado, a pocos minutos, caminando, del centro de Arcachon. En recepción nos atienden con amabilidad y en español. La habitación es amplia, con cocina y, junto al baño y ducha, estaba todo muy limpio a nuestra llegada. La cama, grande y muy cómoda. Hay un local interior para guardar bicicletas. Se puede aparcar el vehículo, gratuitamente, en el recinto del hotel, al aire libre, o en calles adyacentes. Resumiendo, estamos encantados.

Muy bien. Muy contento con la recepción. Llamé por teléfono porque llegaba tarde y me atendieron muy amablemente en español. En la habitación hay una cocina con nevera y tiene todo lo necesario. La cama es grande y muy cómoda. Está todo muy limpio. No sé si es por la habitación o porque la gente es civilizada, no se oye ningún ruido. Hay un local para guardar bicicletas y no hay problemas de aparcamiento. La ubicación es perfecta. Está cerca del centro pero a la vez, alejado del ruido.

Aging beauty, but clean, comfortable and friendly

This is a lovely property in the \"Ville d'Hiver\" part of Arcachon. It is about a 12min walk to the city center, but it is a lovely walk thru a park or viewing gorgeous architecture. The building is a bit of a fading beauty, however, the place and rooms are very clean if dated. Comfortable beds, large rooms, quiet area. I've stayed twice and would do so again.

The location is the biggest asset - lovely quiet area and a short work into the centre of Arcachon.

However, the decor of the villa is depressing and old fashioned, the apartment needs updating, no air conditioning. No availability of clean towels and did not see a cleaner for five days.

Pool area only open from 10am to 7pm and (2pm - 7pm on a Saturday), seems villa is run for the staff rather than the guests.

Poor value for money :(((

Villa Regina was an ideal self-catering base to enjoy Arcachon. Wonderful setting in the winter town and close to the park, which we enjoyed walking through several times each day. The room was quiet and a good size for a couple. Staff helpful when we needed them. Sufficient parking either in the grounds our close by. Charming old building in need of some updating and maintenance. Would visit again.

The price is low but the room and service is quite good. Also it is convenient that small kitchen exists. We have traveled for 10 days and have been bored to eat outside. Buying materials, cook here and eat with wine gave us a happy time. Our original plan was to stay here for one night, but we plan to stay the third night tomorrow.

Disappointing stay at Villa Regina Arcachon

We have travelled to Arcachon area many times, previously staying in the Residhome Arcachon Plazza. On this occasion we thought we would try somewhere new and stayed at Résidence Vacances Bleues Villa Regina.

This former hotel that first opened in the late 1800's is a beautiful building, a short walk to the Park Mauresque from where you can be on the sea front at Archachon within about 15 mins walk.

The residence is clean and has been freshly decorated and new carpets. The bed was large and comfy, there was a kitchenette and a dining table with 4 chairs, but there were no comfortable chairs on which to relax.

We were on the ground floor, the room was boiling hot, there is no air conditioning and not even a room fan. This made our stay uncomfortable. Further, the room was noisy - with noise from adjacent rooms but worse was the noise from the room above where you could easily hear people walking around. It's a shame that during the renovations there was no consideration to sound proofing or to modern comforts.

The grounds were unattended to - with weeds everywhere and long grass, cigarette butts everywhere and the pool did not seem very clean. Such a shame, I am sure that in it's hay-day this really must have been such a grand hotel.

Villa Regina - Arcachon - Great place to holiday!

We like to cycle in Arcachon and the surrounding forest area. This hotel is not a glossy 5 star hotel, but it has great architectural heritage and is clean and functional inside with some leftovers of a much grander age. The hotel is well situated for a short walk into town and is housed in one of the famous villas contained within the upper town. It is short work via the nearby park and lift to the lower central part of the town. There is a convenient cycle room in the hotel with racks where you can lock your bikes, which is also locked overnight. The rooms are self catering style apartments with usable amenities, 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge, dish washer, toaster, coffee maker, clothes drying rack, adequate utensils etc. The WiFi works well in public areas and is free. (We were lucky in that it also worked in our room) There is a small but clean outside pool with sun beds in a sheltered garden. At around £75 night at the time of our stay the price is competitive. The staff are young and friendly and some speak excellent English. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Villa Regina far exceeded our expectations. Staff were extremely helpful and provided a useful overview of Arcachon on arrival, the room was comfortable and the grounds superb. It is well situated with ample parking. My 10 year old was a bit disappointed as Internet connectivity didn't extend to the rooms, only the landings and communal area downstairs, but my husband and I saw that as a plus!

Idiosyncratic period property in leafy suburb.

Upon arrival, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. French windows opened onto a small balcony, overlooking the garden. The whole building had the air of faded gentility. The area itself is in the historic Ville d'Hiver, once the haunt of the fashionably wealthy who came in pursuit of the spa waters and mild climate to improve their health. Sadly, like a Grand old Dame of the Belle Époque, this hotel has seen better days and has lost her youthful lustre. She, too, is in need of a cure, or at least a stylish makeover. Though, renovations have already begun. However, it was a fabulous stay. The ability to self cater was enormously helpful for two Veggies in a town built on oysters. The whole area is amazing, a cross between the Hollywood Hills and a Hammer Horror film set. I loved it. A short stroll through the park and either a lift or steps will lead you directly into the fashionable end of town, full of chic shops, boutiques and cafes, and of course, the golden beach. The location could not be better. And so peaceful at night that you can sleep soundly even with the windows open, if you can tear yourself away from standing on the balcony to count the stars.

We didn't expect to have quite so much space--the 'room' we had booked was actually a self catering studio and if we had read the info more clearly we would have bought some supplies--i.e tea/coffee. The building was beautiful and I wished we had arrived earlier to make use of the swimming pool. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The location was very nice and in a beautiful part of Arcachon--- it was easy to get to the beach etc during the day but the lift closes at 10p.m and it's a long walk back uphill, when you've had a delicious meal and a couple of glasses of wine :-) An easier map to follow on arrival would have helped as we had to drive around a fair bit before we found the hotel. We would stay there again.

I imagine in its day this hotel was fabulous. These days it is slightly dated and faded, but it was still a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and helpful (although they had very little, if any, english). The room was comfortable and clean with a cute kitchenette (hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and cutlery/crockery). Its in a nice leafy location, just a 10-15minute walk from Archachon centre (though a fairly steep hill to walk back to the hotel unless you take the lift in the park - bizarre, but true!).
We'd have no problem going back to this hotel in the future, and Archachon itself is lovely.

A great hotel with self-catering facilties

We stayed for 2 nights at Villa Regina & it met all our expectations about from the pool temperature, not heated but didn't mind too much after a very hot day in late Aug visiting the beach & the huge dune, a must see! The place was quiet & our room very sunny & HUGE! Bigger than our flat in London and nice to have the ability to make our own food, had just stayed at a place in St Emilion without even a glass so made a nice change. The neighbourhood Villa Regina is located in is lovely with lots of pretty houses worth a good wander around. And don't let the location put you off. We only used the lift to town once & only because I wanted to try it, if you have a good level of fitness you don't even get puffed walking up the hill.

Best headquarter for your Arcachon vacation

The Villa Regina, located in the heart of the only non commercial area of the city of Arcachon, lies still at a short walking distance of the city's center and the beaches. We appreciated the cheerful assistance of the staff and the quietness of our large studio opening on its patio in the garden. We were treated like the royalties who spent their summers among the exotic trees of the Ville d'Hiver. October is a nice time to visit.

Great location - great value for money

Nice ten minute walk into town. Well equiped apartment but nothing going on in hotel in the evening. No local bars or restaurant but loads within walking distance. Particularly appreciated was the lift in the nearby park which took us down to sea level smack in the middle of town. Difficult to find by car due to one way streets - check it out before you get there. All in all - a great place to stay.

L'établissement et son emplacement sont magiques. On a l'impression de vivre un moment d'histoire. Le hall et l'accueil sont magnifiques et le personnel est très accueillant. Seul bémol, le confort des logements qui méritent un rafraîchissement et une salle de bains rénové. Néanmoins, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dans cette superbe ville d'hiver d'Arcachon.

A notre arrivé dans le studio , nous avons trouvé un caleçon homme dans le placard,
Les étagères et meubles poussiereux, et des puces dans la literie et ou poux.

A notre départ notre caution nous à été retenu, pour une soit disante odeur de tabac, c'est vrai si on n'a fumer 1 cigarette par jour , fenêtre ouverte dans le studio, du 3 ème et dernier étage alors que je suis en situation de handicape,
Alors que nous avons tout passé au Sanitole le matin de notre départ. C'est un peu gonflé.
Et franchement étant handicapée, je n'avais pas besoin d'être pénalisé de 250 euros en retour de vacances.
Donc avis aux utilisateurs de prix attractifs, votre caution sera retenu pour n'importe quel prétexte. Dans cet établissement.

Il residence è in una dimora storica bellissima il quartiere molto bello e molto tranquillo nelle vicinanze c'è un parco delizioso il centro di Arcachon e le spiagge si raggiungono facilmente.
Il personale è molto accogliente e gentile il check in, fuori orario è possibile con accordi via mail ed è molto semplice
il monolocale che mi hanno assegnato era al piano terra molto tranquillo spazioso e pulito.
Completamente attrezzato ma non vengono forniti the caffè e zucchero.
Il parcheggio è molto ampio e gratuito

Der Aufenthalt war einfach toll.
Die Unterkunft ist sauber und hat hervorragende Betten und alles ist sauber.
Parkplätze sind auch genügend vorhanden, zur Not an der Straße.
Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und vor Ort konnten wir noch Frühstück buchen.

Wir waren eine größere Gruppe und konnten abends die Terrasse gut nutzen.

Agréable séjour appartement 207. À noter: lunette des wc propre mais très ancienne, et robinet mélangeur sur lavabo alors que sur les autres épuisements ce sont des mitigeurs.
Personnel très agréable et réactif.

Pulizia scarsa, reception aperta solo 6 ore in tutta la giornata, il Portone principale di ingresso rimane aperto tutta la notte senza alcun controllo.
Posizione comoda per spostarsi a piedi in citta'

Tres bon séjour . Appartement spacieux et bien équipé. Un cadre historique remarquable.
Proche de tout à pieds : 10 min gare , 10 min plage, 5/ 10 min commerces restaurants boulangerie superette et marché.Pour les enfants le parc mauresque est à 3 min
Je reviendrai avec un grand plaisir
