Had a really relaxing stay at the Thalazur. The setting of the hotel is stunning. We felt really spoilt.

The staff are very helpful and attentive.

I would recommend for future guests that they have a better first aid kit and a wheelchair. I strained my ankle and would’ve benefitted from a wheelchair to help me get to and from the car during the rest of my stay. This might be useful for future guests.

Don’t bring children to this hotel.

3 star hotel at best, stayed with my 5 year old son for a weekend break. This hotel is not child friendly! We were afraid to use the pool as it was so quiet you could barely hear a whisper.
Room was overlooking a building site, huge cranes, not exactly the sea view we were hoping for. Thankfully it was the weekend so no noise.
Bed was comfortable but room was quite tired and very small. Sound proofing was awful , we were awoken most mornings very early from noise above and in the corridor.
Room service was great and the staff in the restaurant friendly.
Reception staff not so helpful and found them to be quite rude. No offer of help when checking in for our caes. Solo travel with a child an offer to at least help. Not a 4 star hotel. Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in for a number of years.

Not a friendly or well-located hotel so we left early, it had the vibe of an airport hotel unfortunately and not a destination where you actually want to spend time and relax. Busy with conferences and spa day guests. Public transport links are poor and taxis difficult to find and expensive. Rooms clean. Staff generally not welcoming with the exception of Pauline who was great. It’s not even called Thalazur it’s called Hotel des Bains d’Arguins, which appears to be linked up but not separate to the spa. The different name sums it up really - we expected one thing and got another. I’m sure it’s not bad for everyone - if we had had a car it may have been different, or at least felt less isolated, - but unfortunately it was an expensive mistake

Alllergen in food is poor

As the hotel is at least 30 to 50 mins away from other restaurants depending on which way you walk, then best to book at least b&b or 1/2 board.

It needs to sharpen up its treatment of allergens in the food served. Whilst it has a notice tooked away at the entrance of the restaurant this does not include the plat de jour menus, the menus do not make reference to allergens either. So i was faced with a steak which came with mushroom puree covered in nuts. Also nuts are only classified as peanuts in the allergen menu and therefore the hotel excludes hazelnuts, almonds etc. For a hotel of this quality this should be improved

Indoor pool not for children.

A nice hotel with good rooms and EV chargers. The big let down was the pool which refused entry to children. The minimum age was 12 which both children were over and both children wore the required swimming hats. However they decided that their swimming shorts did not meet their regulations and speedos had to be worn, so they were turned away.

Air Conditioning Cooling & Heating cannot be adjusted to your own requirements it is controlled by the reception manager if they decide that they will set it for heat you cannot get cooling
The outside temp during the day was around 25 Deg Celsius making the room too warm even at night Cooling was not available as the hotel had switched over to heating as it was the end of the hot season. Ended up sleeping with the window/door to the balcony open to get fresh air these were not fitted with insect screens making for an uncomfortable night

Quite location but nowhere to far away.

Great Hotel location great if you do not mind walking a couple of Kilometers, also on bus route so those not so energetic can access town easily. Room and staff very good an as per description however as with most of my Hotels.com bookings I always seem to be positioned in an out of the way room!!
Amenities very good but be prepared to pay top dollar for food, drinks and spa treatments.

Modern spa hotel. Clean comfortable room and ensuite. Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Good variety at breakfast - although fresh fruit was nearing its sell by date. Overall breakfast was overpriced.
Heated sea water pool and relaxing pool area.
Good spa facilities. However, there were time restrictions with regards to using the spa that were not made clear on booking. Regulations with regards to men's swimwear varied from day to day. Regulations with regards to swim caps loosely applied - women allowed in spa with shower caps and full make up.

Close to beach. town centre 30 minute walk. bus stop nearby - buses to town centre and tourist attractions (possibly summertime only)

Decent enough large hotel, well run and clean with attractive gardens and pool. Peaceful and spacious, with lots of outside terraces for drinking and eating. Helpful receptionists. Good location.
Odd areas of \"meanness\"; supposed to use bath towels for bathroom and swimming in seawater pool with no way to dry them. Unimpressed by dining room as food uninteresting and not much choice, quite expensive too.

Good location. Beach close by. Centre of Arcachon 15 minute walk. Good bus service during the summer. Room clean and comfortable. Bed comfortable . Good quality bedding/towels. Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Heated sea water pool. Indoor pool and spa offering good facilities, though need to check availability to guests as there are some restrictions with regards to spa facilities. Regulations regarding mens swimwear seems to vary according to staff on duty. Swim caps required in spa but staff lax with regards to allowing women to use shower caps with hair hanging out. Buffet breakfast: croissants, bread, bacon (fatty) eggs, yoghurts, fresh fruit (nearing best before date) fruit juice etc. Adequate but expensive for what was offered.

Relaxing!

Hotel les Bains 'Arguin exceeded expectations. Hotel is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. All staff are helpful and smiley. A great choice on the buffet breakfast and evening meals were innovative and elegantly presented with good food. There was no problem in supplying gluten free meals for me. The Hotel has a relaxing ambience helped along by the Spa so guests wander about in the white towelling robes. Pool is attractive. Beautiful beach just five mins walk max through pine trees. All in all, a relaxing holiday in an efficient, friendly and well run hotel in a classy resort. We will be back!

Nice stay! It seems the hotel has been renovated but the carpets were forgotten lol. The rooms were modern and comfortable with good amenities. Check which room you book if you want to have access to the spa - Basic rooms mean you can not access the spa until after a certain time!

The restaurant was lovely though quite expensive. There was a mosquito in my starter and we were offered 40% off the dish!! My husband complained and eventually they took the start up off of the bill.

You are not far from the beach and a short drive to the city centre and the dunes.

The reception staff could do with a smile.

Very good hotel - had everything - private balcony, airconditioned rooms. Good restaurant indoor/outdoor, excellent service. Small bar area near reception. Pools and spa available - only used the outdoor sea water pool - lovely. Short walk to the beach and promenade - fantastic beaches all along this coast. Slightly outside town centre in very select area. Bicycles at front door for hire. Town centre has another fabulous beach and lots of good quality restaurants specialising in seafood/fish.

Great Hotel, but.............

This hotel is well placed for magnificent beaches and many activities. Unfortunately the location of swimming pool next to restaurant terrace (we felt like the entertainment). Agree with other comments, needed to squeeze through conference delegates and the smoking terrace, is the only way to get to the pool.

The restaurant was excellent, but if you wanted something less extravagant, there was no alternative. Room service would have been helpful. Fortunately good local bars and restaurants not too far away.

Whilst appreciating that early June is not in the full season, it was disappointing not to be told that major construction work was underway to extend the hotel. Tower cranes overlooking the pool not ideal. We may well have changed our booking if we were made aware.

This is an excellent hotel, with good well trained staff. Possibly suffering from a conflict in identity. Is it a beach hotel, a conference venue, a 'destination' fine dining restaurant? At times the hustle and bustle in public areas detracted from the ambience of the hotel as a holiday venue.

Superb location, in a quiet suburb, just a few steps away from the beautiful sandy beach of Arcachon. The hotel was comfortable and well maintained. Staff were pleasant and accommodating for the most part although we had problems with poor service in their restaurant. They have two pools but for us a major disadvantage to accessing their outdoor pool was having to push ones way while dressed for bathing through the crowd of non bathers that were drinking and smoking on the terrace to get to it. It would not be difficult to arrange a separate rout to the pool - a shame they have not done it.

When I booked this hotel it was purely by chance, and what a chance, set at one end of Arcachan 2 to 3 min from the beach...yes I timed it. Our room was at the front and you could just see the sea from the window but that wasn't a problem at all. We overlooked the car park, but apart from a couple of delivery lorries it wasn't a problem.
Altogether a very quiet stay, staff very helpful, my french is what I remember from schooldays, very few English guests in the hotel.
A good place for couples who want a quiet place or families as it is so close to the beaches, you can hire bikes, or walk along a 'promenade' into Arcachan. It all felt very safe and yes, we would go again.

Hôtel bien situé près des plages, restaurants et à 10mins en voiture du centre.

Chambre Twin bien respectée avec petite terrasse. Bien équipé (bouilloire, mini frigo, café…)
La propreté était aussi au rdv avec le linge de lit et de bain impeccable.

Pour le côté Thalasso, grande déception à notre arrivée, nous souhaitions réserver des massages et soins d’où notre réservation dans cette hôtel.
La responsable du spa nous annonce que les soins sont complets durant notre séjours et qu’il aurait fallu réserver 2 mois à l’avance afin d’en profiter.
A aucun moment nous avons été informé d’un tel délais, dans ce cas nous aurions réservé dans un autre hôtel étant donné que la réservation a été faite 1 mois auparavant.
Par conséquent nous avons pris des soins et massages dans d’autres établissements afin de combler ce manque. Dommage!

Dans l’ensemble, bon établissement dans la structure et services.

Excellent lieu de détente. Pour avoir fait de nombreux Spa Hotels à l'étranger, on retrouve bien en ce lieu la qualité française. Le personnel est incroyable. Je dois noter l'accueil fantastique - le matin au buffet du petit déjeuner - avec un large sourire (vous la reconnaitrez !). Ah ce buffet, un vrai régal, un vrai plaisir, merci. La chambre était très bien, le balcon, la vue, le soleil.
Mais je ne pourrai malheureusement pas mettre 5 étoiles, sur les 4 visites du spa, 3 fois le hammam n'était pas fonctionnel, 1 fois le sauna était à 45 au lieu de 65 les autres jours. C'était la raison principale de ce séjour, et normalement la raison pour laquelle une personne choisira cet hôtel-spa. Le spa est petit, il doit fonctionner et ne pas accumuler autant de malfonctions.
Je recommande néanmoins, sans ce dernier point, on frôle la perfection.

Les chambres pourraient etre un peu plus approfondies au niveau menage..
La piscine avec l acces aux enfants au moment des vacances est un calvaire, ils sautent ds les infrastructures, eclaboussent ... comme les parents ne disent rien, se serait bien que le maitre nageur intervienne, c est un moment de détente donc si c est pour jouer il y a des piscine municipale.
L eau de la piscine extérieure est trop froide difficile d y rentrer.

L’hôtel est top et le service irréprochable. En revanche, au vu du tarif global (nuitées, dîners au restaurant et petits-déjeuners), il est dommage que les créneaux pour les soins n’aient pas été proposés dès notre arrivée. Résultat : plus aucune disponibilité pendant toute la semaine. Cela a un peu gâché l’expérience.

L'hotel a perdu de sa superbe en terme de services. Je suis venue plusieurs fois et suis déçue cette fois-ci meme si une solution a finalement été trouvée. Pas assez de transats pour tout le monde. Piscine non accessible avant d'avoir acces à sa chambre. Grand parking.

Notre séjour dans votre établissement s’est déroulé dans des conditions satisfaisantes, les chambres offrant un confort appréciable et le service faisant preuve de professionnalisme.

Cependant, nous avons été déçus par les restrictions d’accès à la piscine imposées aux enfants. Cette limitation a entravé leur plaisir et a réduit la sérénité de notre expérience en famille. Nous comprenons les exigences organisationnelles et les impératifs de tranquillité, mais une approche plus souple permettant aux plus jeunes de profiter des installations dans un cadre adapté serait grandement appréciée.

Nous espérons que cette remarque pourra être prise en considération afin d’améliorer encore l’expérience offerte à vos hôtes.

L’hôtel est à un tarif élevé du fait du spa . Nous n’avons pu y aller car pas de maillot adapté. Jamais nous n’avons été averti d’une telle obligation sachant qu’au thalazur d’Antibes rien de spécial n’est demandé …
Du coup le rapport qualité prix est bas …
Le restaurant est excellent par contre l’attente phénoménale

Du luxe qui cache des problèmes

Très grand et bel hotel avec tous les services inimaginables. Accueil qualitatif.

Mais derrière une apparence de grand palace il y a des disfonctionnement, par exemple :
- chambre surchauffée (en appelant la réception pour demander de une baisse de température, il m'a été répondu que le chauffage était éteint et que la température constatée dans la pièce était de 25°C à 22h et qu'il fallait ouvrir la fenêtre avec une température extérieure de 5 ou 6°C. Mais dès la fenêtre refermée, la température remontait). Attitude pas du tout Eco responsable.
- La porte de l'un des 2 Hammams ne se fermant pas tout le monde se repliait sur le 2ème Hammam et sur le Sauna 4-5 placed, d'où la queue. Dommage car l'espace balnéo est beau et bien agencé. Le problème étant connu de l'hotel au moins depuis la veille, pourquoi n'y a t il pas de réparation.
- Enfin, l'hotel n'a répondu à aucun de mes mails envoyés par l'intermédiaire d'hotels.com. Heureusement tout s'est bien passé.

Donc c'est un grand palace avec des manques.

Espace thalasso impeccable et très bien entretenu avec tout ce qu’il faut pour une Thalasso de qualité.
Le parcours matin est addictif, salé aux multiples jets, jacuzzi. Douche chaude.
Salle de sport bien équipée en technogym et concept 2 (rameur)- pas testé la (tour à câbles HS lors de notre passage)
Les chambres sont spacieuses avec du rangement ! Top. Wifi efficace, parking.
Petit déjeuner superbe, et c’est la première fois que j’ai de l’avocat et du concombre ! J’aurai aimé avoir un thé earl’grey car le thé noir proposé est assez fort sans saveur.
Le restaurant est à faire, avec des propositions très bien cuisinées,( je me suis régalée avec les ris de veau -bravo au chef- pâtisseries maison excellentes. ).
Le bémol: le prix prohibitif de la recharge VE (indépendant de l’hôtel) Green-spot à 0,72€/minute pour du 7kw/h (6€/kw) ça fait très chère la recharge. Prévoir de ne pas arriver à vide…

2 bémols :
- centre thalasso fermé le dimanche entre 12h et 14h
- restaurant très cher pour une qualité indigne d'un tel endroit

Strandferien direkt im Zimmer - es wimmelte von Ameisen im Zimmer (an / unter der Kaffeemaschine, eine Ameisenstrasse durch das Wohnzimmer und Ameisen im Bad), so dass wir unser Gepäck im Auto liessen. Vor 19.00 Uhr haben wir das Problem am Empfang gemeldet und als wir um 24.00 Uhr zum Hotel zurückkehrten, war es nicht gelöst. Wir fühlten uns unwohl und uns konnte vor Ort keinerlei Lösung unterbreitet werden. Nie wieder.

Le sejour a été tres bien. Service à la hauteur, petit déjeuner parfait et varié.
Par contre on a contracté le zona a cause de la piscine ( à revoir). Cest le seul point négatif de notre séjour.

Tout s’est bien passé, sauf que nous avions choisi cet établissement pour le spa et quand nous sommes arrivés à 17h celui-ci fermait à 17:45 car c’était un dimanche. Sachant que le check in était à 16h, il aurait été bienvenue d’en être informé en amont.

Complexe qualitatif mais peu adapté aux enfants

Le séjour s'est globalement bien passé avec des points forts comme la restauration de l'hotel, des chambres modernes et qualitatives.
En revanche, plusieurs éléments en sont négatifs : chambre dispo à partir de 16h en théorie (c'est tardif), une restauration de qualité mais très cher et des sur couts liés au complexe de balnéo spa qui est mitoyen à l'hotel comme l'achat de slip de bain et bonnet de bain.

Un peu déçu

L’hôtel est bien situé accès direct à la plage, les piscines sont très agréables et le lieu est très agréable, décoration moderne, chambres calmes (même si un peu petites). Petits bémols le service de réception qui doit penser que tout le monde connaît les lieux et qui ne donne aucune indication à moins que l’on ne demande, et la restauration (petit déjeuner nous n’avons pas testé le restaurant) qui est une véritable foire à l’empoigne.. des 8:30 il y a un manque de couverts.. et de produits c’est dommage pour un 4*.
