We loved the fantastic location, friendly staff, and our spotlessly clean room with lots of storage, a reasonably priced mini bar, and a balcony. There was a staff member who spoke excellent English and the breakfast was diverse with healthy options and wonderful teas and coffees.

On my first visit to Chisinau ( and Moldova) I arrived early and was made welcome, given a breakfast even though after the main service times, and had early access to my comfortable room.

The Komilfo Hotel met our needs. The rooms were updated and bathroom very modern. Breakfast was included and standard fare. Most of the staff were especially polite. I do wish that we had free access to enter through the front gate and our room-we were buzzed in from the outside gate, and the front desk kept he room key.Outside cigarette smoke from staff and customers came into the lobby and lounge area. Probably would not stay again.

This hotel does not have an elevator, so we had to use stairs to go to the 3rd floor. It's not convenient when you have lot's of bags. Good that they allow you to leave bags downstairs. They do have sauna, but it was unclear that you have to pay for it separately.

A Wonderful Little Hotel in a Great Location
What a lovely little hotel! A very, very nice stay and our host, Oleg, was incredibly helpful - truly above and beyond as he helped us with bags, made a tasty breakfast for us to enjoy before our early flight, and even gave us some homemade Moldovan wine to sample - which was absolutely delicious. Great location just down the street from some traditional Moldovan restaurants and a supermarket. Wetbar was stocked and not at all expensive. Please stay at this hotel and say hi to Oleg for me. You will be so impressed!

Komilfo did a great job of accommodating us. A sofa bed was not functioning properly so they let us stay in a significantly larger room at no added cost. Place was clean, breakfast was more than adequate. And location was just outside of the city center. No complaints whatsoever. At least one staff member was able to speak English at any given point, even though I am able to fumble through Romanian if need be!

The property was great. It was very nice and beautiful with enough space for myself. Great breakfast foods and it always was clean. The ladies at the front desk spoke very little English but were very helpful-I knew Romanian so that helped. The room was always kept clean unless I asked not to clean it. I didn’t like the fact that there was staff around 24/7 kind made me feel uncomfortable and that at the end I had to pay for amenities out of pocket such as the laundry the stuff I used from mini bar and other small services. I thought all that was included. When I read online so that needs to change. I didn’t even get a receipt or any paper stating what I was charged for and that made me feel very uncomfortable—used. I did like the staff as I mentioned very good service from them. Being in a gated areas was also great. There was a gas station right down the street that was convenient and walking up to the center was great. I had a good time over all. Just need the prices for laundry and other small amenities included with the price.

Komilfo Hotel was a quaint 15 room hotel with a friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was nice. The location was a bit out of the way from Central Park and restaurants, especially in February when it's freezing in Chisinau. Occasionally, especially in the morning, I could hear staff either in the kitchen or laundry room. They could be a bit loud for early morning. Otherwise, overall it was a nice stay.

1. The Hotel - clean with a modern feel . The room I had was spacious and airy with an adequate bathroom. The facilities are good (missing en suite tea and coffee facilities) and a good continental breakfast. I did not have the opportunity to use the spa or sauna.
2. Location - a little out of the way but within walking distance of a good few bars and the two parks , not ideal for those who are not steady on their feet as the pavements are not good. There is a little bar opposite which sells wine and ciders as well as coffees. My room faced the road which gets a bit busy and can be noisy at times but I enjoyed listening to crickets chirping at night.
3. Staff - Brilliant , patient and extremely helpful and will try to resolve any issue. One even ran after me when I left my glasses outside and returned them. It would have been so easy not to do that , so thank you. They are a credit to the hotel industry and to the Komilfo hotel.
All in all if I was to return to Chisinau I would stay here again - it is better than some London hotels and is not pretentious. A good hotel for a very reasonable price.

All round decent hotel
Good value for money-a short walk-15 mins to the centre but hotel will call a taxi which will cost less that £1. The airport minibuses do not drop very near the hotel but the fare is approx 12p so a taxi hailed from that point still works out cheap.
Quiet at night, felt very safe walking home from the centre on my own at night, breakfast adequate/good, some of the hotel staff speak very good english and all staff are very helpful.

Junior suite is large, comfortable, clean. Queen size bed. Minibar. Bathroom is modern, has a shower, a deep tub and a heated towel rack. The room had a balcony though it was too cold to sit outside (December). The room rate was quite reasonable and included a hearty breakfast.
