Wonderful stay. Clean rooms. Such friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurant was temporarily closed but they still made sure there was a full breakfast buffet every morning and dinner had a set menu option each night. The pool was open and warm! Lots of parking if you’re renting a car. Great proximity to Florence and rest of Tuscany if you plan to tour around yourself.

One of the best Hotels in Tuscany

This magnificent Hotel exceeded all our expectations.
The rooms were very generous is size and the beds were so comfy. Breakfast was exceptional too....
The heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi and the view of the countryside was breathtaking.

Wonderful place to stay to soak in the views of Tuscany. The pool area with views are gorgeous. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were clean, property was quiet. There are a lot of dining options a 10 min drive away in the town of San Casciano. You definately need a car here.

This was simply an outstanding experience. We loved the property from start to finish. The views are simply breathtaking and pretty much unbelievable from the pool, restaurant and the drive throughout the area. My daughter kept joking that it was a giant green screen :). Our dinner at the restaurant was also an amazing experience. The staff were all very pleasant, especially the young lady at the front desk. One of our family members fell ill and she was very attentive helping us in any way she could. The only disappointment was not being able to take advantage of the spa services. We didn’t book ahead of time and therefore didn’t know they’re only available after 3 pm on weekdays, which by the time we found out did not work with our other plans already scheduled. We will definitely come back to this paradise and spend more time here!

A bit surprised by this property. Not exactly what we expected. 5 minutes from town but they charge €30 to bring you there and back. First night arrival the restaurant on the resort was only serving wine, but we weren’t made aware of this prior and therefore had nothing to eat upon arrival.

Overall, pleasant for a short stay. The resort staff were all incredibly kind and everything was nicely taken care of.

We got a couples massage and that was a positive experience right on the resort. Nice pool area with a decent view.

Very expensive to get to and from FLR airport. Some of this should be disclosed before booking. We had hoped to spend more time in Tuscany but this resort had so many charges and made getting around difficult. Didn’t get to experience anything outside of here.

We enjoyed our stay in the tranquil surroundings but could have been excellent if the property was maintained.

We liked the breakfast with a view of the valley, the swimming pool was great and clean. Room was clean and spacious. They grow there own organic herbs ans spices which was great to see. There was ample free parking.

What we didn't like was that the shower in the room flooded the bathroom everytime it was used. I complained about it to the reception and they said they'll fix it but it wasn't fixed or acknowledged during our 3 days of stay.

The sauna door was broken and did not close properly to let the temperature rise. Spoiled our sauna experience.

The pool was 2.2m at the deep end and no depth signs were placed except for the depth mention on the pool rules board in the corner which could be ignored or forgotten easily.

Pros: Excellent free breakfast with many varieties. The juices were divine especially the black currant juice. Courteous staff. Room is clean with plenty of amenities and beverage supply. Quiet and well designed lobby area for chill time.
Cons: A bit pricey for the condition of the room.
1) small room with aged furnishing.
2) Didn't expect bunk bed.
3) Leaked shower and toilet. Cracked surface of shower space. Please fix the issues (rm 18)

Je le recommande à tous !

Nous avons loué la maison dans un arbre et je la recommande à tous ! La vue y est époustouflante en plus de la tranquilité et de l'intimité que cette chambre offre. Nous avons une terrasse et un balcon privé. Deux bémols par contre : 1) une odeur nauséabonde flotte dans l'air près de notre chambre et 2) les moustiques. Nous sommes quasi en pleine nature, alors lorsque le soleil se couche et que la vue y est merveilleuse, nous étions accompagnés de plusieurs maringouins sur le balcon. Sinon, tout le complexe hotellier est propre (y compris notre chambre), l'aménagement paysager est magnifique, le personnel est souriant et accueillant, le déjeuner est succulent, le stationnement est facile, la piscine est bien entretenue et offre une vue incroyable sur le paysage. Je recommande cet hôtel à toute personne qui souhaite un séjour en Toscane pour voir la campagne, les oliviers et les vignobles !

My only issue was we did not realize you needed a car as there is nothing close by. We were lucky in that a winery was able to come pick us up for a wine tour.

Mixed feeling. Hotel has great property, view and pool area. The rooms are nothing fancy - plaster white walls with very dated and soggy mattresses, We ordered $100 Florentine steak at the restaurant - it was the most terrible stake - could not cut it with steak knife. Good breakfast. The stay is worth it only if you plan to use sauna and the pool.

The Villa I Barronci is a beautiful resort. The views, pool and rooms are lovely. We travelled here with our two pre teen kids as a break from the hustle of visiting some of the major Italian cities.

Depending on how long you stay here, you may want to consider having a car. We did not and travel outside the resort is restricted to walking to the nearby village (roughly 2.5km away). Not the end of the world for us but we were stuck eating at the resort restaurant both nights.

The resort restaurant was good but the menu was somewhat limited.

This mini resort is a must stay. The experience you receive from the second you step on the resort to the end is more than worth its price. Felt extremely welcomed by the staff from start to finish. Stunning views. Nice clean rooms. Great included breakfast. Very good restaurant with drinks and snacks available for purchase throughout the day. Only downside could be kids being allowed or not much to walk to off the resort.

Relaxing stay!

Make sure your booking is at the hotel because there are also apartment rooms downtown which I had no idea about. The woman who checked us in was very helpful and got us a ground floor unit with an outside patio near the restaurant which we dined at for dinner. Comfortable bed and loved having the hot pot in the room for tea. Breakfast in the morning was excellent! Beautiful presentation.

Limited transportation and the taxis were extremely expensive they will charge 165 euros one way for 30 minute drive. If you plan to go to Tuscany you need a car btw most cars are manual I don’t know how to drive it so I was stuck in the hotel for few days. To use public transportation you need to walk 39 minutes and is a lil dangerous because they don’t have side walk in the 15minutes from your trip.

Truly a 5 star experience from arrival to the comfortable room and situated in the hills of beautiful Tuscany. The only issue was the restaurant which is not owned by the hotel unfortunately. There are plenty of restaurant and dining options around the town (try Nello) so get out and explore. I would definitely come back and stay at this resort.

This place was Heaven on Earth. We loved every minute of our short stay, and wish we could have stayed longer. Any future trips to Italy will include a stay with Villa I Barronci. From the gorgeous pool to the stunning and perfectly executed restaurant to the wonderful views of Tuscany, complete with hot air balloons rising from the mist in the morning, our expectations were exceeded at every turn. Receptionist (blonde hair) most unhelpful. We were attending a wedding and needed an iron only to be told there were none available as all 2!! were let out. I asked if a request to return could be made but she said NO. One eventually found but I was asked to bring down to reception with the ironing board!! I left it outside the room!!There were 3 hangers in our bedroom and they were too big to hang unless at an angle. (One receptionist did bring more, lady with long dark hair) Food totally unimaginative given its Tuscany. Despite promo on web, piazza not available at lunch. Salad was served in great hunks. Ditto fruit salad at breakfast which had to be cut at the table. Very disappointing given location...and cost!

The resort and spa itself was clean, well maintained, and the staff was helpful and accommodating. The air conditioning in both the rooms we stayed in was poor and the rooms remained uncomfortably hot. The attached restaurant was terrible to deal with (and the only restaurant onsite). The staff was slow and forgetful. On two occasions, the waiter forgot our bottle of wine. On one occasion they brought the bottle out halfway through our meal after we asked a second time for the wine. On the other occasion we ordered a bottle, the food came, we asked another waiter for the wine, we finished the food and still no wine. When we went to pay for the meal we had to tell the hostess to remove the wine from our bill as we never received it. Overall, not a welcoming experience and would not return to this resort.

Amazing trip. Lovely, relaxing oasis with an intimate feel due to the hotel size. Rooms were spacious, beds were large, air con worked very well. Setting up transportation was easy thanks to the staff, and we truly enjoyed spending time by the pool and enjoying the restaurant. For the same price and room type as our friends, they received a significantly larger room, but we were still very happy with the size. Very comfortable!

Tuscan resort that’s reasonably priced

The hotel is in a pretty secluded spot. Wonderful views of Tuscan vineyards and olive trees. Heated pool and Finnish sauna. Wanted to get the tree house room but couldn’t, fully booked through the rest of the year. Definitely a good resort and it’s pricing is very budget.

Beautiful property in a lovely area. Friendly, helpful staff and comfy room. Stayed in a large room in the annex building, so direct access to outside. Bathroom, room, and main hotel areas were well kept, just had older area rugs on the tile floors in our room that could be cleaner, but otherwise everything was clean and housekeeping did a great job everyday. If you're there in the summer you might need bug spray for the mosquitoes etc, (and if you're in an annex room, of course you are closer to the outdoors, so you might track in an ant or a fly) but it's worth it for the quiet, natural surroundings. The view from the restaurant is truly amazing! Restaurant serves nice food at dinner and lunch, buffet breakfast was good too!

A slice of paradise

The Baronci is a wonderful hotel. It is situated in a quiet part of San Casciano with a view that is truly outstanding. The service was excellent and attentive and the staff more than willing to help in any way. The area is wonderful as a jumping off point for Florence, Siena, San Giminiano, Luca, Pisa, and even Cinque Terra (for a day). The buffet breakfasts were excellent and really well presented. All in all superb.

Had a city apartment in the town of San Casciano in Val di Pesa.Villa I Barronci is a 10 min drive outside the town, which is where the swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast, reception for check-in is located.It is essential you have your own transport & sat nav if staying in a city apartment, you cannot walk to apartment from reception.Pleasant & polite staff, but no info offered by check-in staff at all about facilities or how & when to check out.We gained info through asking questions or by reading a reply to feedback we left about check-in experience on Expedia website.If staying in a City apartment, breakfast is a 10 min drive every morning.We booked breakfast when villa offered a voucher to eat at local cafe nearby, which they withdrew without telling us until check-in & so we didn't eat our prepaid breakfast at all, as 10 min drive, we planned journeys out & it was inconvenient.We were guided to our Apartment.It’s not possible to remember the route back, as there are one way roads, so the return journey is different.Sat nav or a map are essential.Apartment was very comfortable, modern, extremely clean & spacious.Had air con & TV in bedrooms & lounge, also Bluetooth stereo with speakers in each room.Down side, telephone to contact reception did not work.Villa offered upgrade to room onsite as telephone and breakfast let us down, but we declined.Apartment location was excellent.No specific parking space for apartment, but we always found a space 100yrds walking distance.
