Not very friendly staff with the exception of one person. It seemed like they were annoyed when we asked for more information. The apartment was nice and as expected, it felt like a movie setting and we enjoyed the experience. However it was hard to find and we relied on other guests to show us around. Breakfast was very good!

The property was run down and dirty. Fell through the stairs at the walk up pool bar. Was offered a couple of drinks for my troubles. The cabins were dirty, sprider webs, ants and mosquitoes. The hotel breakfast was over priced and the pool bar didn’t have half the menus or drinks because it was end of season. Staff never came back to check on me after my fall, which I guess is why the property is in such disappointment that really don’t care.

Beautiful setting and very nice pool. We really liked the apartment with the Tuscan charm. The AC worked very good. We did not have a car and the taxi fares were €29-50 each way to get into town. There is a nice restaurant nearby that is walkable. We did enjoy our stay and it was very memorable.

I would advice to check with the property manager to see if the Pool is open, if the room is what you booked. If the restaurant is open.
I was disappointed with the quality of the room. I booked a double deluxe room with a nice view, and ended up with (described as a up graded room) with a 2 double rooms with kitchenette and a small unappropriated vetus shower with a bad door... The checking was friendly but forgot to give us the keys. After arriving at he room 1km away. We had to go back to reception to pick up key and the room name... Not very amusing.
At the check out we had a talk with the manager and he tried to explained that we had a up graded room and the pool du to the bad weather was not open. And blamed the weather for this. Not very profesional. We had a previous hotel room in a different location in Florence ( With the same weather) And the pool was open... The manger tried to accommode us with a \"next time call me directly and I ll give you all infos and a discount\"... BUT there will be no \"Next time\".
When you are disappointing and not very well look after, you do not want to come back in the same place.

The place was nice but it was not comfortable the bed felt like a rock. We did not get enough toilet paper in the room. The shower was not working properly. The place needs maintenance. There was a lot of bugs coming into the place and I had to kill them. It was not easy to get a taxi either.

Ignore all the distance by car information they’ve provided, you’ll be paying 40-50 euros for a taxi each way to Florence and around 45-55 euros from the airport. Watch out for l

If you're looking for a ritzy hotel In the middle of the city, this is not your place. This unique property is a working olive orchard in a quiet peaceful countryside setting. The property sits up on top of the hill with incredible views of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Our cottage was at the end of a winding drive through Olive trees. Amazing! There was a local town only 10 minutes away with everything that you would need and Florence was only a bit farther, so an easy drive from our cottage. Our cottage had two bedrooms one with a loft, a family room and a kitchen / eating area. The cottage fit the setting and the inside had unique finishes like old timbers and stone. I slept like a baby in our king size bed. Kitchen was supplied with dishes and cookware so several nights we just bought groceries at the local grocery store and ate there. At night I could see the lights of Florence flickering out the kitchen window. Cottage was older construction and had some little quirks but they just added to the experience. We originally booked this hotel for only one night but loved it so much we extended our stay three more nights. Not very often are you sad when you leave a hotel but when we pulled out on our last day I felt like we were moving from a home that we grew up in. Love love loved this place!

It is an old property, and the grounds were over grown. The property had character but needed some TLC. Our room was large, and had original furniture as it is an old home with kitchen, multiple rooms and a courtyard. It was a unique stay for a couple days in Tuscany. It was far from town and a drive to Florence and so a car was necessary. Parking was free. It was very quiet, felt like we were the only ones there.

Lovely property in the middle of a 123 acre / 50 hectare olive farm. Single lane roads getting in and out of the property are precarious, if you’re not familiar with Italian roads and driving. The buffet breakfast was fair at best, although the coffee was delicious. Very few amenities available. Incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Secondly, we were promised laundry in our apartment and we only had a dryer (this ain’t a third world country where we hand wash!) thirdly we left as soon as we got a look what were given, only to be told we can’t even get a partial refund.

Disappointed in a beautiful spot

The concept of the Fattoria il Milione was wonderful if you had a car. The remoteness without a vehicle was very difficult for us as seniors. The only restaurant on site was remote to our cabin and challenging to walk too. Our fear was at night in the dark and finding our way back to cabin. We were scheduled to stay for two nights. We stressed our concerns for walking and the darkness on trails back to cabin. We asked to check out after one night and they would not refund or accommodation. Therefore we found another hotel in Florence and left by cab at 8am the next morning. The location should be described as suitable for seniors that can walk hills and trails and should mandatory have a car.
Our greatest disappointment was with the stag at the reception area they were very abrupt and dismissed our concerns for walking on unlit trails on the dark from the restaurant to our cabin. The terrain was challenging for us

The people at Fattoria were SO wonderful to our family. Our stay was delayed due to sickness during the previous part of our trip. The resort staff took extra care to make things work for our family, even accommodating our request for an apartment closer to the pool/reception/eatery. Extra props to Barbara and Andrea! This was my first time staying at an agriturismo. When my 79-year-old mother had an accident in Florence, I flew over to help her heal enough to fly back to the U.S. The farm was perfect for that mission. The grounds are absolutely beautiful as is the view of Florence from the hill. There are so many little nooks and crannies to explore and be alone. I loved the rustic charm of our apartment. You feel like you're far away from the city, but Galuzzo is merely minutes down the hill, with all the services you might need, including a farmer's market and a supermarket. The kitchen was well stocked enough for me to make the best marinara sauce I've ever created. Unfortunately we didn't eat out much because of my Mom's condition. If you prefer nature to the city and want to feel like a local, do yourself a favor and book an agriturismo stay. Renting a car is essential btw.

I didn’t realize when I booked it that we would be so far from downtown. The 2nd day after coming back from taking a taxi, we had ants in the bed. They came in and put powder down but we really should have been able to move to another room. The “suite” felt like we were in the groundskeeper’s room. It almost seemed like a dungeon.

Cons: upon arrival, the room smelt musty. The bed - which stated was a king size was barely a double, sloped and was uncomfortable. The pull out couch mattress had multiple stains. We were under the impression it was “agrotourism” meaning a working farm. It was not. We arrived on a Monday and the restaurant on the premises was closed. The manager suggested we go to the restaurant the next day- no reservations needed- but they could not accommodate us.

Pros. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from and the wait staff were lovely. Thanks for the Tide pods- they came in handy. Room had washing machine (hung clothes out outdoors), small fridge and a toaster oven and stove but no pots or pans. Pool seemed nice but too cold for us to try due to weather. Grocery store and decent other restaurants within 6-7 mins drive.

This property is beautiful, and our villa was quintessential and lovely Italian, but not walkable to the city center. We were in the furthest villa at the end of the property and it was difficult to communicate to taxi drivers our pickup location (which we needed to use every time we went somewhere). It was also considered still ‘winter’ so the breakfast buffet was closed and breakfast was delivered in a box to the door outside. Not impressed with the restaurant on the property.

You need a car to stay in this property. Hotel has a lot of green areas with amazing views. Bed is not comfortable and shower is kind of weird. Long distance from Florencia but I did not mind because I had a car but if you do not have a car, you will be spending lots of money to get to the areas you want to visit.

Beautiful setting in the Tuscan countryside about a 25 minute drive into Florence.
First room was moldy smelling and had a pool of water in the middle of the room. We were given an ‘upgrade’ to a newer building. Shower was barely lukewarm with very low pressure. No housekeeping in our 5 night stay. When we asked for toilet paper the guy was grumpy about it reminding us that we had been upgraded. Weather was cool and damp but no heating and the towel racks didn’t work so towels were damp. Very limited front desk access. Apartment was very basic but bed was clean and comfortable

Scary road to property. Almost got hit by driver coming towards us-she was driving across the center of road tooo fast. Both ways to get to property are small narrow winding road. If your looking for something just outside Florence, for exploring this is a magical place, you can chill by the pool, wander the grounds and watch the local wildlife.
Florence is a tram ride away.
I would recommend a car as it is just that bit far out and taxis can work out expensive.

This property wasn’t a place I would usually book due to our accommodation being more rustic than I was expecting. However, we found the grounds so peaceful and the views so stunning, that I would go back there. The pool was lovely, the breakfast was amazing and the staff were helpful. We bought and prepared dinner one night and ate outside under a natural pergola and it was very romantic. A good place to stay for those who like the countryside, but also comfortable accommodations.

The owner is patronising and not helpful. We were told after arrival that the reception/pool/breakfast serving was a 15 mins walk from the apartment. The walk is dangerous and uphill and no mode of transport is provided to and from. If you were a less able/elderly person this walk would be impossible, and it’s not advertised at all. Reception closes at 8pm. Taxis are hard to come by. We waited an hour to get a taxi and were told ‘it’s common sense to book the night before’, and we’ve never had this issue before. Even if it was the case it would be nice to get this information beforehand as we are not familiar with the area, thus would actually book beforehand. We were told public transport to the area is also unreliable. The location is very remote. Wouldn’t stay again and definitely wouldn’t recommend.

This was a great place to stay. Getting away from the business and chaos of the city was a relief and this stay gave us just that. The pool was great and the breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. Wish we would have had more time to stay.

This place is really old and very interesting, it’s up in the hills around Florence in a beautiful area. Just the drive up the winding hills through such an historic and upscale area was worth the price. It just has an ‘old Italian villa’ feel to it. It was one of the neatest places I’ve ever stayed because of that. Our stay was very relaxing and the pool was great! The rooms are as you would expect of such an old place like staying in a castle or something. Not modern, but classy and rustic.This place isn’t like a modern hotel. It’s almost 500 years old and has just the charm of that. My daughter and I loved it. I read some complaints in its reviews, but I think that the people complaining are more the kind of folks that prefer McDonald’s to a 400 year old restaurant, or a stay at the Hilton to a stay in a grand old Italian villa. You could feel the history there. I guess it depends what you like. The price was very reasonable for what I feel I experienced and would love to go back, it was perfect for my tastes.

Wonderful property with fantastic views. Rooms could use some updating and better lighting, but were generally comfortable. Rooms need more blankets. Bugs are a problem, which should be expected when you're out in the country. Just get some bug spray and repellent. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Electric car charging is available, but is expensive. Roads on the property are rough. The pool is clean and well maintained, and the weight room/gym, while small, is decent. Towels are provided. Transportation to/from is going to be your car or a taxi. There's a walkable bus stop nearby but it looks dangerous to wait for a bus there, as it's literally on the side of the road with no sidewalk or waiting area. Roads are narrow and curvy here, with many one-lane roads. The on-site restaurant is excellent, but make reservations. There are several wineries within a 20 minute drive, and are highly recommended! Call to make appointment for a tasting/tour.

This property is amazing. They have everything and a generous breakfast. If you have children, you should stay in a ground-floor unit. We didn’t get in till 10:30 and the people below us were upset during the twenty minutes it took us to get everyone into bed. They were nice about it and we didn’t hear anything from the property management, but obviously the floors on the upper units are thin. Also, the toilet was broken but that’s an easy fix.

My biggest issue was the bed. It’s sagging and SO hard that we had to put the extra blankets under the bottom sheet for cushion. The “comforter” was scratchy too I couldn’t sleep with it touching my skin. We saw several ants and other bugs but that is to be expected given the location. It’s a cute place and the service was good. Breakfast was disappointing. A box full of crackers and biscuits isn’t was “breakfast included” means to me.

It was just beautiful, like a villa in Tuscany. We were all impressed with the grounds, the room, the decor, it was nice.
What we didnt like was the difficulty we had finding the property, it just wasnt clear where to turn once on the small roads. Transportation, we rented a car.

Improper description and remote location

This is a farm stay, a vineyard/farmhouse as property type, whch we did not get while making our booking. We arrived their with no food in hand and the restaurant was a 20 minute walk (no other alternatives if you didn't bring a car). We had to walk uphill in almost complete darkness through wilderness to reach the restaruant. It is also pretty far from the train station and cost us 35-50 euro each time to get to the city or go back. It is a 'do it yourself' kind of place which if you are not prepared for, it can be a nuisance. But if you are looking for a family outing and have a car, it is a very nice place to get some peace an quiet outside the city.

The place was nice but it was extremely inconvenient for travelling without a car. And the taxi ride from the train station was very expensive and long. This is a place to visit with a car. But the staff was helpful.

The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Everything in our room was extremely dated - from the mattress to the kitchen appliances. The mattress in particular was extremely old and hard. The blanket in our room was like something from the 70s itchy and rough - like the old electric type. The grounds and amenities are very run down which is a shame because there is masses of potential given the location.

The The place is NOT an agritourismo property. It is a series of rooms/apartments within the grounds of a working farm but the two worlds do not meet. Even the restaurant is run by an external group.

Breakfast was served in a narrow corrugated plastic tunnel - there is not much room in the space and as it rained on both mornings that we were there it was quite a squeeze - on the first morning some people chose to sit out in the rain!

Overall, we were underwhelmed and disappointed.

Relaxing stay at Fattoeria Il Milione

We really enjoyed our stay at Fattoria il Milione. Loved the grounds and the restuarant atached was excellent. Breakfast was very nice and staff very friendly.
We loved the location as was an easy drive into Scandicci where we could park for free and take tram into Florence, which cost very little and allowed easy access to city center.

Lovely surroundings but basic

The pool area was lovely as was the views over Tuscany. However, the informaiton about the Fattoria says there is a bus service into Florence nearby - which there wasn't. The accomodation itself was very rustic, although there was air conditioning. It says the apartments come with everything you need to cook - it definitely doesn't! We had one sharp knife in the apartment which was a bread knife and no wooden spoons etc.
Felt it would have been nice if they at least provided some cleaning equipment - just tea towels, scrubbing brush, small washing up liquid for example.
One member of staff was lovely, the other we interacted with was very sharp with us which wasn't pleasant.

A magical place in the Tuscan hills

We stayed in the “Piazalle Limone” apartment for two nights in July 2018. This apartment is large with three rooms - a master bedroom, large living room with a comfortable pullout couch, and a fully equipped kitchen with a four burner gas stove, large toaster oven and even a dishwasher. The furniture was all solid wood and some appeared antique, or at least old and was all in perfect condition. We had a private terrace with a wood table and chairs.

The pool was beautiful, clean, warm, and deep enough for a proper diving board. Many loungers and umbrellas were provided.

The views from the large property are indescribably beautiful. From some places, you can look down on Florence itself.

The Osteria del Milione restaurant should not be missed. There are Tuscan specialities at a reasonable price a short stroll from the main building.

All in all, it is a magical place we were sad to leave.

One tip: Get all of your supplies to stock your kitchen before you come up if you want to stay on the property (which you will). There is only breakfast buffet 8:00-9:30 and vending machines available.

Perfect, Comfortable, Rustic Location for Florence

Already living in Italy, this was our first visit to Florence and wanted to stay for a few days at a location that was not completely in the centre of the city, but near enough for a short trip by car.
Fattoria is perfectly set in a beautiful location 25 minutes outside the city and undoubtedly provides a relaxing, rustic; but true sense of comfortable Italian living in wonderful part of the Northern Italian countryside.
The staff were extremely attentive, fluent in multiple languages and ready to meet all of the needs of the customers. Although located within an olive grove and surrounding farmland, the complex provided all facilities that you would need, such as pool, small gym, tennis courts etc etc and all presented in a tidy and well maintained way.

Not a cozy but a farmhouse without maintenance

This farmhouse is definitely not the cozy type because I could not see their heart or passion to run the business. First, the receptionist is more arrogant than many people I came across in Italy . (Definitely he is not the service type).. and the whole farmhouse is huge but lack of maintenance. I cannot say the farmhouse is dirty but definitely do not care the details. They dont bother to mow the grass; don't check the light bulb and the lamp in the room not working at all ; never bother to think if the bed sheets all over the places in the terrace for drying is annoying to the guests.. A kind of lack of passion or care to DO GOOD JOBS but just run it, keep it until the end of the world. But do they care? Not at all!
I live in Italy, there are plenty of farmhouse or bed & breakfast running with great passion! And this one is far from the list!
PS BTW, their photos on the web is far more gorgeous than the reality
