We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The view was absolutely stunning, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. The pool area had such a great vibe, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel - my 5th visit to Taormina and I have always stayed in different hotels. Hotel Villa Carlotta is my new favourite! Really welcoming staff both in reception and at the restaurant. Apartment was gorgeous and had everything we needed.
Had a fantastic meal at the restaurant - what an absolutely stunning (and very romantic!) setting!
Will definitely be back to visit again - hopefully for longer next time. Many thanks!! Christine & Jacques

Our stay at the Carlotta was fantastic. Stefano, Federico and all the team we dealt with were super friendly, hospitable and extremely helpful. The hotel was quite central and not far to walk up to the centre of town. Slightly tricky location to park a car as the hotel is on a bend, however, the staff were very helpful and valet parking was arranged.
Hotel facilities were great, including the pool and pool bar. The room was cozy and with the terrace attached gave us plenty of room.
Finally, the restaurant upstairs which also serves breakfast has the most amazing panoramic view. The breakfast offering was delicious and good variety. The only negative is the restaurant is quite hot due to the summer weather and the aircon doesn’t seem to cool the space.
Would highly recommend staying here.

A magical place and experience. Stayed with my family in the Tower Suite which was amazing and quite large. My kids loved the room and the layout. If you are a family the 1.5 bathrooms makes all the difference.

I had read reviews but they don’t do justice to this fabulous hotel. We stayed in an apartment. It was incredible. Of all of our time in Italy traveling this was the best. The staff was friendly and lovely to work with. We ate dinner in their restaurant. Normally I stay away from hotel restaurants but I had the Sicilian style grouper. It was the best dinner I had in the 3 weeks I have been traveling. The waiters and staff were wonderful. The views from the restaurant are beautiful, overlooking the water. They have a lovely pool and small workout room if you want to use it. I highly recommend this hotel.

On our trip to Sicily this was our favorite hotel. In fact, it kind of spoiled us for the hotels that followed afterwards! The building was beautiful both inside and out, with charming touches at every turn. Our hotel room had the MOST BEAUTIFUL ocean view, and the top floor dining room, where a fabulous breakfast was served, had endless ocean views and sea breezes. We ate dinner one night at their restaurant and it was perfection. We cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Villa Carlotta is a treasure. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. The ruins are a 10 minute walk. The views are beautiful, especially from their nice restaurant. We booked one of their luxury apartments nearby, and it was spacious with two bedrooms and bathrooms, with a wonderful view, and near a lovely public garden. Beds were very comfortable and there was a living room, kitchen, and washing machine. Water pressure was good. AC in all rooms. There is a shuttle to a beach club associated with hotel. The staff were completely attentive and friendly to us. We felt valued and cared for. Stay here!

Very nice hotel but you do pay for it. Enjoyed the breakfast and other meals we had on our stay. 5-10 minutes walk to lots of very good restaurants. We had a late flight back but the hotel kindly let us check out at 6pm which was a great help. For the amount you are spending I would have expected a bottle of water by the bed each night but you had to sort yourself or pay from the mini bar.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is well appointed, with attention paid to the little details that make it unique. We stayed in the tower suite which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff are so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
The food is excellent, fresh, and well prepared/presented. We will stay again when we visit the area.

We stayed in the apartment with the balcony, and it was amazing! The balcony was huge, with a good view (slightly obscured by a palm tree), and the beds were super comfortable. The apartment had beautiful decor, a washing machine/drier, kitchen, and two bathrooms, with fancy toiletries. The hotel itself was close by, and has a pool and gym, which we didn't use because it was too cold for the pool and the treadmill was self-powered (also, gym didn't open til 9). But it was nice to have those amenities available as well. The breakfast is a little pricy (25 Euro), but very nice, with many options, and the view from the restaurant is lovely.

I didn't stay at the actual hotel as there was some problem. Instead I was upgraded, with much communication in advance to make sure I would be happy, to a lovely apartment with a private terrace overlooking the sea. This means I can't really rank the hotel as I was completely off-site, but it was a lovely experience and there was still housekeeping and amenities at the apartment.

Loved staying here for 3 nights on our 2 week trip in Sicily. One of our favorite hotels of our stay. Service was outstanding, location was great with an easy walk to town a few blocks away. We stayed in the Two Bedroom Villa/Apartment 4, which was extremely spacious and accommodating. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive and when we did have a minor issue, they more than made up for it. The hotel is beautifully decorated and in a very central, yet quiet location. The view was unbeatable and I can’t wait to return! 5 stars!

Inflated Hotel Rating

We selected Villa Carlotta based on the high rating and favorable reviews. We stayed in one of the hotel’s apartments: coffee cups and silverware dirty, washer/drier moldy. “Shabby chic” overall condition, tasteful interior decor. Large roof terrace with great views, but not well maintained, felt unused and abandoned. Staff uncreative with remedying cleanliness situation despite being well tipped upon arrival. Rather than comping return airport transfer or a night’s stay, €20 breakfast was comped, plus a bottle of wine upon departure. We don’t drink, so this was a presumptuous and ultimately irrelevant gesture. The hotel rating is not commensurate with the property’s condition and the staff lacks experience with skillful troubleshooting.

We spent just one night at Villa Carlotta on this visit, but hope to stay longer next time! Very comfortable rooms but proper blockout curtains would be a welcome addition as the current ones do not block out well at all, meaning that we were woken as the sun rose around 5.15am! Beautiful views from the lovely rooftop restaurant.

The love nest experience!

My fiancé and I have been traveling all over Italy and we have to say that by far the Sicilian food and specially the hotel service was incredible, our view of the sea from our room was the most amazing view we have ever had in our lives! Given that I have traveled to many other Countries, but nothing like this. Our receptionist help me put together a plan so that I could propose to my Fiancé it was awesome! Never had a receptionist care so much and go out of their way to make it happen! Not to mention she also put together a folder full of amazing restaurants they recommend as well as places to go see. They have it all mapped out for you and saves you (the tourist) the hassle of looking it up on the internet and making a choice. I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone and I will be going back soon! Thank you Villa Carlotta😊

Fabulous four night stay in Villa Carlotta, beautiful hotel with staff that can’t do enough for you, breakfast was gorgeous with plenty of hot and cold options. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the sea and the pool area, spotlessly clean with a great shower.
Short walk in to town and really near a beautiful park. Easily reached by bus.
Will definitely be going back to Taormina and Villa Carlotta.

This hotel is wonderful. I stayed two nights here and two nights at the Belmond on the water. This hotel was in a great location. Staff was amazing and the whole experience was perfect. I recommend booking ahead to get the best options. Only wish the pool played music.

What an amazing place! Fantastic accommodating people working there, beautiful, clean, and charming facilities, and perfect location for walking to all the sights. They have thought of everything: water in the room, comfortable bedding, hair dryer, fluffy towels. That is coupled with beautifully designed gardens, a sumptuous breakfast on a rooftop terrace, a warm pool with convenient bar and luxe towels, etc. This really is a gem!

The hotel is beautiful in a perfect location, and the staff (particularly those on reception) make this an exceptional hotel. We stayed in the apartment on the ground floor, which was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was quiet noisy from the guests using the stairs and from the apartments above - something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.

We booked an apartment there (part of the hotel) because the hotel was closed for winter updating. Simona welcomed us with a bag of fresh oranges and our apt was beautiful with amazing views. She continued checking on to make sure we were taken care of. She recommend good restaurants which we tried a few of them. We’ll be back.
