Room was clean every day. Great staff. What they don’t tell you is that you have to walk across the street to Scalleta Hotel for your staff and your breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. Variety of food you can’t go wrong. Location was perfect it’s a block away from the river. 2 blocks in and all the historic buildings are at reach. Million of places to eat. You can walk around all day and night and never have to leave the area. Love Florence will be back

Everything was awful from the first step in to last out. Photos respresting nothing there. Room was smelly with no window. No phone, no contact. They have around 5 room on the 3rd floor in one section with a main door open all the time!!!! on the other section there was occupied apartments. It was unsafe atmosphere.
The front desk person asked me to leave because my room wasn't ready, when i returned back he had my bags in different room in different hotel. After negotiating, i have him give me the room i have reserved even though he offered a different smelly room.
What a nightmare, what a service, what a staff, what a poor unfresh breakfast.
I DO NOT RECOMMENDED. DO NOT GO TO THE FLORENCE OLD BRIDGE HOTEL.

Overall it was a wonderful stay. The rooftop bar was lovely and the drink prices were good. Breakfast was amazing and the service at breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was ideal, close to everything but not loud at night. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room was nice, bathroom shower could have been slightly cleaner (you can tell it’s older). But as it’s affiliated with the hotel scaletta across the street you have the option to access the breakfast buffet, and the “skybar”. We loved having our breakfast up on the top most balcony, very serene.

Dont stay at this place. While the room itself wasn't that bad, the entry door is a barred prison style door. The entry to the building is dark, dirty and downright scary; particularly at night. Hotels.com should be ashamed to be affiliated with this place

Location is ideal. I walked over 15 miles a day.
I recommend you just wander around and get lost. Then you turn a corner and find yourself in front of a major monument or some hidden spot that connects you to your heritage.

This is a great bargain in Florence, terrific location. Part of the Hotel La Scaletta, a 4 star hotel, across the street. Not 4 star itself, but very comfortable and well maintained, with great service. Would recommend it to anyone spending time in Florence. That side of the Arno, the Oltrano, is a welcome break from the craziness across the river!

The location is perfect, right across the bridge from all the main tourist spots. It is more similar to a BNB. It’s across from the main hotel and the rooms are all on a locked floor and the building is locked. It felt pretty safe and seemed like it used to be an apartment. They do daily house keeping and the main hotel across the way is very helpful. There are no phones in the room which was no problem for us but just an FYI. The room was very spacious and bed comfy. It’s a good spot if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room and is affordable. The only con was the WiFi barely worked. We would stay here again for a quick trip.

I had to leave the Tuscany area a day early. I gave this htel 3 weeks early so they could re-rent the room. They told me it wouldn'tbe possible because I ordered through a website that didn't offer refunds. They told me my only option would be to get a medical excuse but they would evaluate if it was legitimate.I guess they are medical people too. Ridiculous! If you are smart find a different place to stay. There are many lovely places.

Although we were at the Florence Old Bridge we had full access to the Hotel SCALETTA Ponte Vecchio which included breakfast and access to the rooftop area. Parking was not the easiest but the hotel was very helpful with arrangements at a local garage which picked up the car at the hotel and then dropped it at a nearby plaza when we departed.

It is close Ponte Vecchio and other attractions. The bathroom deserved 5 stars. The bedroom deserved 3 stars because the window looks to people’s balconies yet we had to open it for cool air (AC restrictions). This means crappy view, less privacy and more mosquitoes! The worst part was that there’s no phone in the room, the WiFi sucks and you have to cross the street to get services. Yes! I had to cross the street full of people in my pajamas to get a router to boost my WiFi. ALL the amenities are at a partner hotel across the street.

Florence Old Bridge was an easy check in procedure. You had to check in at Hotel La Scaletta. They were very good with communication and accommodating our early arrival. They recommended a parking garage nearby in which you can make reservations ahead of time. It was not a far walk from the historical center. Overall, good experience.

I read the room description before I booked but seeing in person left me a bit disappointed. Room was smaller than I had pictured. Luckily the ceiling was higher so not as claustrophobic as it could've been. Lack of natural night was noticeable. There is a small window opening into a \"courtyard\" but not enough for my liking. Had trouble using key card to unlock doors even though I heard the buzzer. Lack of coffee maker in room was not good. Room had small fridge which was helpful. Receptionist was very nice upon arrival and the bellboy who showed me to the room was also nice. Just FYI, you do need to check in at hotel across the street. This property is not bad by any means but I personally would choose something else next time

Staff was kind of rude. Also not great that there isn’t a phone to contact staff if you have issues. You have to leave your room go down stairs and cross the street to the main hotel. They key card isn’t all the functional too. You really have to push it into the scanner. Worst of all the bed was super uncomfortable. I’ve slept more comfortably on a plane. That bed was a brick. Oh and no welcome wine like how Expedia mentioned.

This property was overall pretty good, the room was large the bed was massive but there were a few minor details that let it down. The toilet flush wasn't the best, the windows in the bathroom and bedroom were hard to open/close. and the bathroom door was hard to close.

I feel like if theses small issues were resolved and there was a smart tv they could probably charge another 30-50 on top of what i paid. And I would have been happy to pay that.

I did not realize when I booked this hotel that Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) is one of the most touristy areas in Florence. Therefore the price for the hotel was higher than it might have been for the same quality elsewhere. The hotel was clean, the staff was nice, and breakfast was good. We were not able to enjoy eating on the terrace because of the weather but the view of the Pitti Palace and surrounding area was spectacular. Main problem was furnishings. There was a closet for hanging clothes, but no dresser. I asked at the desk for a dresser but she seemed puzzled, like that was an unusual request. She asked if there was not room for our clothes, and I said yes, on a narrow counter that ran along one wall, but that seems odd to stack your clothes on a ledge. She said there was no room for a dresser (which there was, an alcove that had nothing in it) but she could send up a table, which I declined (no difference between that and the ledge). Otherwise the staff was helpful and friendly, called us a taxi (which did not show up, so they called another, which did right away). The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well-outiftted. In the future, I would stay at a hotel off the beaten path both to get a better value room and to get away from the crowds, but that's just me.

Overnight stay in Florence with a car

The hotel itself was quite good. The Old bridge accommodation is across the road from la scaletta hotel which is where you check in. You get a room with a double bed television and a functional but quite small bathroom. There is a small bar fridge in the room and also a safe. The air conditioning is quite effective but can be a little bit noisy. The biggest issue we found was on arrival there is no where to stop the car if you have one to go and check in. We parked around the corner and were then informed that the best option for parking is to use the valet car parking. The reception staff told us that this is usually best organised before arrival as what will happen in that case is the valet will meet you about 50 m from the hotel in one of the answers and take your car. As we had not organised this reception staff were very kind and rang the ballet service who then met us where we had park the car. The other issue to be aware of is to actually get to the hotel you need to pass through a couple of pedestrian zones. If you pass through these zones and you are parking at the hotel they will contact the parking authorities and have any fines waived. If you do not park and get this information passed on you will be fined. In the area there are numerous restaurants souvenir shops and plenty of gelati cafes. It is an easy walk to the old bridge and also approximately a 1 km walk to the Duomo and other significant features.

This hotel was nice. The only issue we had was that the upper showerhead did not work so we had to use the small wand which was inconvenient. Also the water for the tub didn’t seem to get very hot. Other than that it was very nice. The restaurant had great food and the service was fantastic.

The hotel is in a perfect location. 10 min walk into the square and Cathedral.

Breakfast is served in the hotel across the road. There is a lovely rooftop bar here also. We book a room with a jacuzzi which was very relaxing after climbing so many stairs up the Bell Tower 🔔 😀

Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, there are no tea or coffee facilities in the room but the little fridge in the room did help.

The room was immaculately clean.

I would totally recommend this accommodation 😊

The location of this property is great for walking. If you have to use a taxi, be aware that the ride will be a bit longer due to being on the other side of the river and the numerous one-way streets. Plan accordingly and it isn't a problem. The hotel was great at calling the taxi. Staff was friendly and helpful. The small down side was that we had requested twin bed set up and the hotel had confirmed this yet, when we checked in, the beds were set up as one. The hotel sent someone over to re-do them but it would have been nice to have it the way we requested upon our arrival.

It was suuuuper clean, and the staff was amazing, they even helped us book some tours and gave us best practices to do around the hotel. The restaurant in front is in a rooftop, so it have an incredible view from the city!

We booked this property well in advance and needed to add a third person to the room. They were not able to accommodate us. We asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else and they refused. They said it was pre-paid and non-refundable. We were not happy but accepted that we made a mistake so we booked another hotel that would accommodate three people. After the visit ended, this property sent us a hateful note stating that we were considered no-shows and we would not get a refund. Why add insult to injury? They already refused to give us a refund and then send us more messages saying that they won’t give us a refund. Honestly, they should have given us a partial refund and then rented the room out to someone else. They would have made money and we would have felt happy about not losing $400. A little flexibility would have gone a long way. I would not recommend booking here due to their lack of flexibility and continued hateful emails. You got our money and ruined our time in Florence. Isn’t that enough?

Complete lie... hotel is divided by a one way single lane street. You can’t even park in front to leave your luggage. Then staff says you have to pay between 25-35 euros for parking. On top of all that they take your car and you have to call everytime you need it. They don’t care about service because they are on prime location. We tried to cancel and staff said no, it’s a non refundable hotel. If you want quality service go to Rosary Gardens Hotel!
