The lower level had a bad smell of sewage. The room was clean, but I didn’t like that the shower stall was in the room in full view of the other guest. The room was meant for a couple. I don’t feel comfortable showering in front of family/friends. The breakfast was very good and the view in the breakfast room was nice. The ac is ice cold, so cold I had to turn it down.

Great stay for two nights

Location is within a few minutes of Ponte Vecchio bridge, duomos, food places and other attractions. Room was quite large and very clean, separate shower and toilet. The shower location was a bit strange as it was in front of the bed, with sliding glass door, and not suitable for a family.

But everything else was excellent.

The front desk employees were friendly. The breakfast was very good with many choices. You can order eggs fried, scrabbled or an omlet. The 2 people in charge of breakfast were super nice and attentive.
The view from the 7th floor breakfast area was amazing.

The hotel is a 100 yards from Ponte Vecchio & 200 yards from the Uffizi. The breakfast on the roof is to die for, with amazing views, super friendly staff & good food choices.
The whole hotel was renovated within the last 10 years... highly recommended.

Great location a minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Spacious, clean, modern room. Not huge amenities but fine. Skip the breakfast option - overpriced, overcrowded and very limited options. Not enough space for guests to dine and very limited staffing. Felt crowded and rushed and options were slim. Not at all worth the $. Somewhat friendly staff but not especially welcoming. One plus - a block to the open air leather market!

The overwhelming strength of this hotel is the location, as it is literally steps away from the Palazzo Vecchio and right in the heart of Florence. It is surrounded by numerous dining and shopping options, and is close enough to walk to practically anything you would like to see/do while in the city.

For as good as the location is, the hotel does not fall far. The rooms are great size, they are designed beautifully and the staff are very nice/helpful.

Very nice hotel located blocks from Pointe Vecchia Bridge; balconies overlooking the hustle bustle on the Main Street.
Beautiful roof top room for fresh and delicious breakfast with kindest service. Language with front desk employees was a definite barrier: I asked if my laundry had come in and was told “my colleague did not leave me any notes”… ???
But I would definitely stay here again.

Great Position

We used the hotel as a base for exploring Florence and it was in an ideal situation, just 30 metres from the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel reception staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The only hot items of food were assorted types of eggs, not much good if like me you don't eat eggs. Our room was on one of the upper floors which meant that it was quiet. It was large with a settee and a kettle was provided and some milk for the tea was sent up when I asked for it. We were very satisfied with this hotel, though we did not spend much time in it except for sleeping.

This hotel has the best location and is so close to all the major sites. They also include a wonderful full breakfast featuring eggs, pancakes, ,cereals, pastries, meats, etc all with a great view of the city. Very close to the train station. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming little hotel

We stayed a full week as my husband was attending a conference. We got to know the small staff of this little hotel well, and they were fabulous. The breakfast was delicious, fresh eggs made to order, etc. The location was perfect, close to everything. Suggestion - let people know there is a long staircase leading into the hotel, no elevator. However, staff cheerfully helped us carry our luggage up on the day of arrival.

The hotel is perfectly situated for most of Firenze's historic and cultural sites. The hotel is comfortable, clean and modern. The breakfast is very good. The staff are very friendly. Only 2 criticisms: the \"hot\" water was often only tepid; and when I requested milk or creamer for the use in-room coffee this was met with a straight \"no\"! Take your own!!

Great location, needs attention to detail

The location is ideal, it's a great spot but there was a major issue with the noise levels. My first room had a balcony, which was great, but you could hear water dripping through the pipes the entire night, along with a loud mechanical buzz. I was moved to another room, where I no longer heard water but continued to hear the mechanical buzz, which at least you could drown out. I've lived in big cities and have no issue with city noises but mechanical + water piping are very exhausting to have on constant repeat throughout the night.

The level of attention to cleanliness was not ideal. It's a bit gross to see how the light switches have layers of dirt on top of them or the shower is still splattered.

We love this hotel. It was in walking distance to one of the best places to get Italian hot cocoa, great non tourist restaurants and was within walking distance to see the Statue of David. Staff was very nice, rooms very comfortable. Excellent hotel.

An elegant hotel close to Piazza San Marco

This hotel surprised me. I was expecting old furnishing with rusty decorations but I was truly surprised by the elegant furniture and decorations! The bed was modern, clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious which is important when travelling all over Europe. I recommend this hotel to everyone. The buffet breakfast was great but not amazing - eggs and other hot breakfast related food would be nice but you can't have it all.

a new favorite in florence

i search for new places to stay on every 30 day trip to Italy. Now i have found a treasure I am worried the rest of the world will fin!
close to the main pedestrian street and the ponte Vecchio, easy walk form the train station WITHOUT using the crowded main street, and MUCH MORE as a solo traveler i often am put in a room the size of a closet, this double was spacious, had a DESK, room to walk around the bed and an UPDATED bath with a great hot shower. After 2 stays at hotels without heat all night (only on for 4 hrs at a time) i appreciated the room controlled heat so i did not have to wait until 7am for the heat to come on. the staff was very kind: desk manager answered many questions, bfast staff serves individually prepared coffees (not the machine type in larger places) I would have enjoyed some Tuscan breads offered but that is my preference

Hotel Signoria -- Bravo!!!

It was our first visit to Florence, and, The Signoria was the perfect hotel for our week's holiday. The hotel is ideally located in the center of the city, close to the Duomo, the many outstanding museums, and shopping areas. Likewise, there are many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel staff (mentioned above), are especially to be commended. They were extremely customer oriented and welcoming. The information and hospitality they provided made our holiday that much more enjoyable.

We stayed 7 nights in Nov from 4 Nov to 11th Nov. Air conditioning was off as is was off season. Unfortunately the weather was warm and we could have used it. With the windows open we had mosquito bites.
Great location and the best breakfast in Florence.
Staff was great. Next visit we will be staying there!
We even got to see the Pope who was in town!

Definitely consider staying at this hotel. It is in a great location in Florence--close to Piazza della Signoria and Uffizzi museum, Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Republica; 6 minutes walk to Duomo; 10-15 minutes walk to train station (depending on number of people on the sidewalk). Staff--every one--is very, very helpful with directions and suggestions. The included breakfast includes individually prepared scrambled eggs (if you want); coffee is freshly brewed; rolls are fresh--staff is attentive. It is rated 3 stars but I would give it a 4th star. If you want a charming Florence hotel, this is a great choice; if you want a Marriott-type hotel why go to Florence.

Located at city center and very modern decorats

The hotel is located at the Signoria Plaza, which is the very famous plaza in Firenze. In such an old city, the decorats are far beyond what you can expects! The dinner on the rooftop was also a very good experience, where you could see the whole city, the very most important, the Flowery Cathedral.

Honestly wasn't expecting a whole lot from this hotel. But, how wrong I was!

First of all, the location is absolutely ideal. The Ponte Vecchio bridge is right down the street! So many awesome things within a short walk of the hotel.

The staff were all nice, friendly, and very helpful. Breakfast on the rooftop was wonderful! Even though the roof was closed since it was a bit rainy. Still wonderful service, great food, and a fantastic view!

The room was very clean, awesome view out our window, comfy bed, and lots of great amenities to make the room comfortable.

My second stay at this small quiet sleek and clean hotel approximately four minute walk to Ponte Vecchio,seven minute walk to the Uffizi, 11 minutes to the Santa Maria Della Flores (Duomo) and 14 minutes to The Accademia. Nadine at the front desk is especially welcoming and helpful. ( She was there three years ago before the hotel renovation, and one of the reasons I chose to return. )Laura was also pleasant and efficient in the small but nice Windowed breakfast room on the top floor.
you Will probably want to reserve tickets to both the Uffizi and the Accademia well before you leave home. Save an eight hour day for your visit to the Uffizi and at least four hours for the Academia. Make sure to have an evening dinner at Il Desco just a few doors down from Hotel Signoria , on the Via Della Termi. You may see the Mother advising or admonishing her sons as they wait on customers in this small family run restaurant. I especially enjoy this area during walks after ten pm when the crowds diminish. A great time to walk the Piazza del Signoria , stop for nosh and the house wine and then stroll across the bridges nearby including Ponte de Vecchio. If you need a large hotel with sumptuous breakfast this is not the place for you. But if you like a small quiet place in a great location in a bustling beautiful city, you will like this hotel. Remember to pet the snout of the nearby copper boar as this guarantees a return to Florence. Worked for me. ( the above 5 boxes auto filled 4 me)

Best service ever - no, really!

We were only going to stay in Florence for a night, but decided to stay two. The staff bent over backwards to be accommodating even thought they were full the second night and arranged a fantastic place for us to stay the second night [also under the same management]. Everyone on every shift was friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and clean and the location right around the corner from the Piazza della Signoria cannot be beat. We will be back!

LOCATION PERFECTION! Just steps from Ponte Vecchio, Uffizzi Gallery, Piazzas and wonderful to be able to come back to hotel easily throughout day to either rest, drop off bags etc. The hotel was modern and clean with great AC and a beautiful rooftop room for breakfast or drinks at night. Breakfast was the best we had in all of Italy. They make special for you eggs or omelets along with a nice buffet. Comfortable with a touch of sophistication and a lot of charm. Everyone who worked at restaurant or front desk, very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Central location to all historic sites in Florence, great dining and shopping as well as walking and ease of entry/exit. Modernized hotel from lobby to rooms vs. tired, torn & tattered Euro hotels. Room with a view for extra $$. Luxurious room. Very good service from reception to roof top (Constantino is GREAT at the bar on the roof).
Cons: Only one which is the mediocre breakfast.

We arrived to Florence a little bit early, and once in the hotel the staff was helpful enough to receive our luggage until the room was ready. We did some walking and once we returned after the allowed check-in time, we were gladly surprised to know that out luggage was already waiting in our room! The room itself had great size and the bathroom was gorgeous and clean as an operating room! The amenities of the hotel were marvelous, which even disposable slippers for our enjoyment. The included breakfast was probably one of the best we had during our honeymoon trip! Very fulfilling, which helped us get through the miles of walking we had ahead of us.

Perfect location

Perfect location to the ponte Vechio and middle of everything. Can walk to everything! Clean room, a little small. Not too noisy but fun area and active. Price is perfect through EXPEDIA because of the Euro conversion rate. I saved probably close to $100 for 3 nights.
