A tourist trap that's a small step above a hostel

I ended up checking out early from my stay. The room was not particularly clean, I found hair in various places on the bathroom walls. My room with \"city views\" was misleading. The B&B is on the first floor and the only view is directly onto Piazza della Republica. You don't see the duomo as pictured in their advertising. The worst feature however is the noise. I could not sleep without headphones/earplugs in. The piazza was echoing with busking singers until at least 3 in the morning. The \"soundproof\" windows were little help. I woke up restless and checked out immediately, forfeiting hundreds of euros to keep my own sanity.

The location is fine in terms of its proximity to all of the major landmarks, but for this price this is an incredible rip off that will leave you wondering why you didn't spend the extra 50-100 euros per night to stay in an accredited hotel.

Perfect location …

Perfect position in the best part of town ideal for sightseeing. Accommodation a bit basic and forget the breakfast but adequately made up for by where you are. No concierge but very helpful staff online or over phone. Make sure you read the info they send to you.

Beautiful painted ceilings in the rooms, great customer service- very attentive and kind. It was a lovely, authentic stay, and walking distance to everything!

Only thing is maintenance is required with the property.
Our room lock was loose, the exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a plane was taking off, and the main room lights were flickering. The glass shelf in the bathroom was loose and on an angle, so it was completely unusable, which meant there was no where to put toiletries or make up to get ready in the bathroom, and the main room lighting was too dark so it was impractical.

If the small maintenance issues are sorted I would definitely recommend staying here again. :)

This B&B is located in Piazza Republica in Florence. It is in a wonderful, convenient location. Within a 5 min walk to Duomo/center and the bridges, as well as 10 min to SM Novella train station.
There isn’t a “true” check in/lobby area, however, the staff were easy to reach via texting and met us immediately when we arrived to let us in and explain the property.
Only downside is that it is in an old building and you can hear everything… which of course, other people talking isn’t the property’s fault… it just is a little noiser than our ideal spot but still a good visit overall! Very convenient and easily accessible.

walking distance to everywhere :)
Nice quiet beautiful room. Maybe only small recommendations would be to have a bathroom hook close to the shower and the toilet seat isn’t connected to the toilet.
Otherwise thank you for the great accommodation.

It was ok, not as described on hotels.com ,said it was a b&b, but there was no breakfast, disappointed, hairdryer blew out cold air so couldn't dry my hair, the only good thing was that it was dead centre of the duomo, for that I couldn't fault, but overall wasn't what I was expecting.

This is a great area to stay. The square is fairly central to all the sights and in a great location to chill when you first get in town or if you're getting in late from tours. Samuel met us outside and showed us around. As long as you reach out ahead of time to let them know when you're coming you should be fine! WhatsApp helps to text them as you're in a different country and all.

The stay served its purpose as you are in a central location in Florence. The room was clean and they offer coffee in the lobby as well as teas and water. I would not recommend using the property to get a shuttle from the airport as it cost about 40 euros more than when we independently booked a taxi on the way back to the airport. You may hear some noise at night as you’re in a central location, but that’s to be expected. Staff was helpful and friendly. If you have lots of luggage, the room we stayed in was a bit small, so it was a little crammed, but we didn’t spend much time in the room so we weren’t impacted too much. Overall, would recommend for a short or active stay in Florence.

The only bad thing was that, there’s no elevator, you have to use the stairs to go up, and it’s very inconvenient to go up with luggage, or if a person has problems climbs stairs. Other than that, the stay it’s pretty good, it felt like we were in a home. We saw the staff maybe once or twice.

This property offered a great location, close to so many of the main attractions as well as restaurants and shops. Clean, well maintained, and overall good facilities.

The only negative of the stay is that Expedia does list under \"Conveniences\" that this location has luggage storage. This is not true, they aren't able to hold any luggage. We planned to leave by train later in the day and expected to be able to hold our luggage there and instead had to find an alternative solution.

This is more of an AIRBNB than a Bed & Breakfast (6 rooms).

PROS - Great location on plaza, clean charming rooms.

CONS - Very limited front desk help, check in at 3 pm only (not before, then they are gone). Thin walls, NO views of anything. Hard to find - 2nd floor need to go up a flight after get buzzed in.
If you have an issue with your room, or your key, there isn't anyone to help you in the morning or evening (just between 3-6 pm if that) have to call off site manager.
Coffee machine (not in room) and water offered, no breakfast no meal services.

Next time as a solo woman traveler I'll stay in a hotel - needed to leave at 4:30 am for airport (taxi stand is across plaza they can't come to the doors), I could not get a taxi lined up (reservations full) for 4 am, and didn't want to be walking around in the middle of night as a solo woman traveler looking for taxi with my luggage. I decided to be safe and went to airport at 10:30 pm. BAD idea! Florence airport is closed 12-4 am no one can't stay at airport. I could not go back to B & B Emozioni, no front desk staff to let me back in my room, and you have to leave your key inside before leaving. No hotels at airport! Nice women at airport pointed me to a 24 hour gas station across the street. Spent 5 hours here at 24 hour gas station with cafe. Next time I'm choosing a hotel, mainly to hail a cab in early dawn hours and for front desk service (don't lock yourself out). Lesson learned!

There elevator was started on the second floor but even that wasn’t working, and there was no down comforter as advertised, and when we asked he said that it is September, that shouldn’t matter, it is up to the guests to decide to use it or not. One of the wall light beside the bad was blinking and the other one barely had a light, the shower drainage wasn’t working at first and after they fixed it it wouldn’t drain again, one of the sink wasn’t drain as well and they came and fix it. And one morning around 7am we wanted to take a shower to goon a trip and there was no hot water. My husband washed his head with cold water, I massaged the property and he told me that his phone says it is active. After that we stopped telling him anything. One night around 10:30 we were sleeping and we heard a doorbell ringing. It kept ringing non stop for 5 minutes and after that whoever was that started banging on the door. I finally texted the owner and told him about it. He asked me if I am sure it is his building and after I assured him it is his B & B. he said ok. The next morning he sent me a message that they were some guests arriving late. Shouldn’t he confirm with the guests and be here to let them in? Every day there was something. It was the most unpleasant experience I had.

The location is great, walk out right on to the Piazza dell Republica which puts you in the center of a lot of attractions. However, although they call themselves a B&B, they do not actually offer breakfast and there was no mention of anything even for a fee, as indicated on Orbitz. They also do not have any pool or access to a pool, which was also indicated on Orbitz, so felt a bit misleading. “Front desk” is not manned most of the time, and when it is the staff was fine but not nearly as warm, friendly, and helpful as we encountered elsewhere in Italy. Perhaps the biggest issue with this place was despite a sign saying to place your towels on the floor if you wish for them to be replaced (which I consider a housekeeping standard across the world), when we did just that, the cleaning person hung them right back up after being on the dirty floor and did not provide us with any new, clean ones. Also did not provide us with any new bars of soap despite being out in the shower and at the sink. This is really kind of inexcusable, especially when there is not always someone around that you can ask for these things. A cute room and pretty quiet given its location though you will hear the other people come and go from their rooms. I would likely choose to stay elsewhere in the future though if in the area again.

The place was in a good location. The square was busy at night but seemed to quiet down by 11 pm. There are 2 flights of stairs to carry heavy luggage up. The owner was kind enough to store our luggage since we arrived before check in. The room was clean but basic and met our needs. There was a large amount of mold in the shower. I did point this out to the cleaning people but it was still present when we came returned to the room. Our fridge was not working which was disappointing but the owner did allow us to use his fridge in the common area. Not having WIFI or ability to make phone calls when we arrived made check in difficult. I would definitely try to set up check in prior to arrival if you are in the same situation.

Fantastic Location & Our Room Had Wonderful Views

The location of this bed & breakfast is fantastic, but it's really just a bed...no breakfast to speak of beyond a coffee machine in the lobby area. It is walking distance to virtually anything that you would want to see in Florence. Our room looked out onto Piazza della Repubblica, with views of several restaurants, cafes and the piazza's iconic Carousel, with portions of The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore also visible above the adjoining building. However, I don't believe that all rooms have that view, so I would confirm your room's view before arriving, if it's important to you. While the view was fantastic, the room was pretty basic, and housekeeping wasn't available every night we were there. But, the room was clean enough to offer a good home base for exploring the city. The one thing I would strongly recommend is communicating with the hotel a day or two before you arrive, firming-up an exact check-in time on your arrival day. There is not a receptionist on-site full-time. Therefore, there was no one on-site when we first arrived, and no one responded to the intercom system on the front door of the complex, giving us no access to the building until someone arrived to check us in. As a result, we were left outside, with large bags in-hand, panicking for about 30 minutes, thinking we had been scammed. Ultimately, everything worked out, but it was a bit stressful. So, lock-in an exact check-in time to prevent stress.

The location was amazing! This bed and breakfast is in the middle of everything that you will want to see in Florence. The host and the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The room was very clean and it was quite comfortable. The Internet was reliable enough for me to work and to stream the entire time I was there except a couple of hours late one evening, better than most places I have stayed. Expect a little noise on Fridays and Saturday nights because of the location. I will try to book here again If I can come back to Florence.

Great space in a central and loud place

We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the room. The location is right in the center square of Florence, so that meant two things:
1. You can get to every major attraction by walking in 5-15 minutes
2. You get to listen to locals and tourists party late into the night, that means 2am on Friday night! Really that was a bit too much as our windows were right above the restaurants that had very loud music. On the weeknight, the same was true until about 11pm.

So great accommodation in a central location and everything that comes with it.

Honeymoon stay in Florence

It's hard to fault the room or service we received from Emozioni Fiorentine. The room was sizable, comfortable, and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's always a shame not to get much of a view from the bedroom window but I suspect in Florence these are hard to come by. Breakfast is in a cafe a short walk away which is unusual but also makes the stay a little more authentic and interesting, and there are coffee making facilities in the room/lobby so plenty to refresh/wake you up.

I would be happy to return to and to recommend this hotel.

Wonderful location for 24 hours in Florence!

We found this B & B based on previous reviews, the location is perfect to visit all the major sights. We loved the view overlooking the square, the staff was very friendly and helpful. There are so many cafes and restaurants on the square, you don't really have to wander far. We were staying over on a weekend, and one of the restaurants had live music, so we were thankful we brought ear plugs for a peaceful sleep.
The room was perfect for our stay.
We were able to get our breakfast to go at the cafe they have vouchers for as we had an early tour scheduled that morning. I would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay in this well located B&B in Florence. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building faces the Piazza della Repubblica and offers easy, level walking to shopping, restaurants, and main attractions nearby. The B&B is a walkup on the 2nd floor of the building, so be prepared for about 25 stairs from street level.

Our room was good sized and well furnished, and included all advertised amenities. Breakfast is continental style and served by voucher at a restaurant about 2 blocks away.

Parking is at an offsite garage about 4 to 5 blocks away. To reach the B&B you first drive to the garage, then they drive you to the vicinity of the hotel and help with getting baggage up for check in. The process is reversed for check out. The B&B will give you directions a day or so before check in on how this all works.

If visiting Florence we would stay here again.

Location: This hotel was difficult to find. It is located in a fairly central location, but is not clearly marked unless you know where to look.
Amenities: There is not a full time reception desk, you must provide notice of your check in time before arrival and checkout. Only one bottle of water is provided (does not get replenished everyday).
Cleanliness: The room does not feel clean. It's on the older side, with wall paper and furniture on the worn down side.
Noise: Walls are very thin, since the hotel is located close by a bar, you can hear their music all night.
Overall, the room is quite small, with the bed taking up much of the space.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Florence! The location is simply perfect for all the major historical sites and museums in the historical heart of the city. Its an easy 10-15 minute walk to the central train station. The room was very charming, but had a very nice updated bathroom- two things that are often hard to find together. The mattress was exceptional- something that's hard to find in Europe unless you spend a lot. Last but not least, Elton was extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to arrange a late check in due to the arrival of our train without issue. FYI- breakfast is offered at an offsite cafe located close to the B&B. The hours are good and we were served quickly without any issues. I highly recommend!

Die größte Masche in Florenz überhaupt. Es wird von einem B&B gesprochen, hat aber kein Frühstück! Personal fehl am Platz - es war weder jemand vor Ort noch persönlich anzutreffen. Vorgetäuschte „Rezeption“ im Flur mit Kartenzahlungsterminal, an welche man selbst anhand eines Videos die Zahlung durchführen muss. Lage katastrophal! Mitten im Zentrum und kein funktionsfähiger Fahrstuhl. Wir hatten das Zimmer 6 bekommen, welche einfach ein Raum in einer WG ist. Keinerlei Privatsphäre, unsicher und leicht einzubrechen. Den krönenden Abschluss haben die Mitmieter gegeben. Das Zimmer war mit Bettwanzen überfallen!!!! Trotz Beweisvideo und Fotos wird abgestritten, dass es ihr Zimmer ist. Sie erkennen nicht einmal auf den Fotos die von Ihnen verwendete Bettwäsche oder den Nachttisch. Streiten alles ab und sind nicht entgegen gekommen. Und dabei wurde das Thema „Erstattung“ noch gar nicht angesprochen. Uns ging es rein darum, sie über den Befund zu informieren und auf Professionalität zu stoßen. Fehl am Platz bei diesem Anbieter. Bucht es nicht!!!! Hinterfragen sollte man auch wer ihnen überhaupt 4* vergeben hat. Unserer Meinung nach läuft das alles unter dem Tisch ab und die angebliche Behörde, welche die Sauberkeit des Zimmer zertifiziert hat, wird vermutlich auf anderem Wege davon Profit haben.
