Lack of maintenance and proper cleaning makes this one of the worst hotels i have ever visited. Strong smell of smoke, everywhere, windows that do not close properly, shower does not work, it is dirty(!). Shower curtain was brownish on the bottom, walls and curtains were obviously and disgustingly dirty. The bed blanket was very nasty.

Perfect location. Breakfast was fine. The view was great from the ROOFTOP not from the room like it was advertised. Staff were very friendly. Rooms are way smaller, like a dorm almost. No noise canceling walls. I could hear everything in that hallway, doors slammed keys jingling. People talking. I was startled awake so many times. But they do hold your luggage after check out.

Place is dirty. Felt so grimy.

Treat yourself and spend a few extra dollars unless you want that motel 6 dirty experience and have to worry if okay to step on the ground.

Worst thing is they don’t even provide slippers but I been to Japan and brought my own just in case cause I have that feeling im stepping on mold or going to get athlete’s foot.

And don’t even begin with the shower.

Maybe it was just my unit or cleaning was off so take this with a grain of salt and enjoy if you stay :)

The hotel is very old, if you are looking for amenities in the room there are none. The room is small and sparse. There’s a small step up into the bathroom which I tripped over numerous times. The bathroom is a death trap for a 73 year old man with mobility issues. That said,,that is the sacrifice for an amazing location right at the Duomo. The view from the rooftop terrace is amazing, as it is from the breakfast room. Breakfast is very nice and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If location is important this is the place. If comfort is important, then it’s not

Everything is excellent. Lorenzo at the reception is a blessing. He exceeds expectations in support and kindness. All the staff do their best to help you, the cleaning lady and the kitchen man, also the reception man at night. The location is amazing. You can walk to the train station and at night you enjoy the dumo after the crowds. The terrace has an amazing view.

Overall great place to stay

Pros:
1- extremely great and accessible location
2- great and friendly staff, great manager (i made a mistake in my booking and my whole trip shifted one day, they changed my reservation with no cost which happens rarely in Italy)
3- great breakfast
4- reasonable price for what you get

Cons:
1- although they clean the room everyday but still feels very old and messy. It was totally fine for us since hotel is just a place to sleep for us and we dont want to pay too much for hotel. But if you prefer more luxurious places then pick another place
2- the bed was not very comfortable for us, i prefer more firm mattress but this one was very soft and I got back pain

Great location in a beautiful city

This hotel is on the fourth floor of a building with another hotel. When entering the elevator, you will press and hold number four until the door closes, and the elevator begins to move. Be sure to look at the check-in hours as there is not someone at the desk 24 hours a day.

The hotel was in a fantastic location near the Duomo, shopping and not far from the river, museums, and all of the sites to see in Florence. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Be sure you are able to check in during their check-in hours. The beds were OK, relative to comfort. Keep in mind hotels in Europe do not have conditioner or washcloths so come prepared. This is a great hotel for the price. We would stay here again. They have a rooftop bar overlooking the Duomo, which is amazing!

The location was perfect staff very nice but air conditioning poor and on 3 very hot days did not cool the room ,did not sleep well , hotel is on the 4 th floor , the elevator only worked if it was on the floor you were on ,other wise you had to climb 92 steps to get to hotel . So unless someone came down to the first floor , you were hiking up 4 flights or until you came across were it was. Staff kept saying it just broke but we were there 3 days it never changed , complained about the ac and was told they would check it out but again that was never fixed , building is old beds a little rough to sleep in . But roof top bar was a great view . They got 1 star because the staff were very nice and the location was great ,

I really enjoyed this hotel mostly because of the staff. Lorenzo is an excellent communicator leading up to my arrival. I changed my reservations twice and he was very accommodating. Made the process seamless.
Eloy (spelling) is the most engaging hotel associate I have ever met. Great conversationalist. He ensured each day I was having a good time and shared some of his passions. This will sound cheesy but this hotel actually felt like a home away from home because of the staff’s hospitality. Beautiful view of the duomo from their bar terrace. Will be back again!!

I word of caution. Make sure you write in the comments the bed configuration you want. We wanted two separate twins and got two twins joined together to form a queen bed. It had queen bedding as well. The hotel management pointed to the comment section saying that we didn't request two twin beds, but on the expedia side I selected the two twin option. The manager agreed to accommodate the change for that night, but they didn't. They changed the beds the next day though.
Breakfast room and staff were great. Neat, great variety well organized.
The elevator is very small (fits about 3 people) and very old. You have to hold the button to the floor you are going to for several seconds or it won't work.
After walking around Florence for several days, I realized that it is not worth paying the high price to be near the cathedral. Everything is within a 15 minute walk for the most part.

I struggled to find Via Oche, but I didn't have Internet working. From SMN train station, follow the main roads towards the Duomo, don't take any alley roads. Once you arrive, walk on the road (plaza) between the big Duomo buildings and the little Duomo. Via Oche is the first alley road you will come to. I hope this helps someone.

Wonderful Stay in the Heart of the City

When I arrived, the gentleman at the desk was so helpful. Even though it wasn’t time to check in, I was allowed to leave my bags there. He made sure I was aware if all the amenities and off I went to explore Florence. If you stay there, make sure you take advantage if their rooftop bar.

The staff and location were superb however the hotel rooms were very much in need of renovation. The hair dryer was ancient and most certainly should be replaced with something more usable. The hot water kettle for coffee was broken and looked like it was from 1975. The WiFi was spotty at best and disconnected every few minutes. I feel like the hotel could do a little more to update to the modern comforts. That being said, the staff were lovely and polite.
