Our stay was absolutely incredible. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as best as it could be. They did everything possible to work around our schedule They let us check in early, offered advice on things around the are, and kept our bags after check out so we could walk around. Every morning we were provided with fresh croissants. It was magical. The property is incredible. The room we stayed in had the most amazing view. It had a wonderful kitchenette which made traveling with our 4 year old so much easier. Easily the most comfortable bed we slept in our whole trip. There is a library and a top floor lounge area.

A beautiful oasis in central Florence

My 7 year old daughter and I stayed 3 nights on our long awaited trip to Florence.
We loved everything about this hotel - the beautiful big room with an amazing view of the Duomo, the lovely bathroom with bath, the croissants every morning, the kitchenette etc etc.
The library on the first floor was a lovely peaceful area and we loved the top floor room with the beautiful views of the Tuscan hills and Florentine rooftops as well as the Duomo.
The hotel is perfectly situated (although we did struggle to find it on arrival - our map app had it in the wrong place) - we walked everywhere. I wound recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

Exceptional stay at the Granduomo

Our stay at the Granduomo hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary was exceptional - the location cannot be beaten (right next to the duomo), the rates were reasonable, the rooms were exceptional, and the service was top notch - attention to detail (bananas, pears, and water in the rooms, fresh croissants every morning, perfect decor, and stocked kitchens) was evident throughout. Thanks to the management for our stay - we will certainly come back and strongly recommend it to our family and friends

Absolutely fantastic experience staying in the heart of Florence. Everything we wanted to do was steps from the hotel. Tons of dining and shopping options all around. And surprisingly, it was not noisy at night. We selected one of the rooms not facing the piazza so perhaps this is why, but we slept very well and had no issues with noise. The staff is lovely, let us check in early and stored our bags after checkout. We did have a little trouble finding the door to enter (as has been mentioned in other reviews) as it looks like it is part of the store next door. But a server at the restaurant on the other side of the hotel kindly walked us to the appropriate door. I loved this place and look forward to staying here again next time I am in Florence.

This was a Jem! We stayed in the suite . Easily accommodated 4 adults. The balcony is across the street from duomo, are you kidding? Amazing. There are no other balconies facing the duomo on our side. However with the great AC and windows closed it was so quiet. Styled in 19th century classic Firenze, we could not have had a better stay. There is a small kitchenette in suite if you are staying a while. Loved this property!! Nicest staff, I can't say enough positive things.

Stop reading reviews, just stay here! Step out of the front door and there it is, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore! Amazing Boutique hotel, with 2 guest areas to unwind in. One on the 1st floor and another rooftop with wonderful views. Coffee in the guest areas was very much appreciated. The room had a mini kitchen with fridge and coffee maker. Fresh croissants are delivered every morning. This was our first hotel in Italy and it spoiled us when compared to our other choices we made on our Italian vacation.

No Regrets on this choice.

The location is about as good as you can ask for. Short walk to the train station and a short walk to all the attractions.

I was worried about the street sounds, but the windows were amazing at keeping it quiet, though we did take advantage of the free music in the evenings.
The reception staff was friendly and helpful. The elevator is slow and small, but it got us to our floor without having to climb stairs.

The room we had was amazing... Comfortable bed, lots of room to move around, A little kitchenette hidden behind some doors, and lots of closet space, and croissants waiting at our door every morning.

This property was amazing on so many levels. We had the 4th floor apartment overlooking the Duomo complex. The location was perfecto!!! It was an easy 7 minute walk from the train station, with luggage. The staff was attentive if we needed something. Since we had a mini kitchenette, we purchased some items from the grocery store to have on hand. So many shops and places to eat nearby. I will stay here again for sure!

As it says, it is really very charming. Love the attention to small details. Their morning croissants delivered in a small bag and left at your door is really a nice touch, aside from it being really tasty! And not to forget, it has the best location, right in front of Duomo!

It was a bumpy start. The room we were assigned was very nice, large and comfortable. However, we had specifically requested twin beds and the request was pre-approved by the hotel. This room had a queen and nothing was available until the next day. Eventually, the problem was resolved by including another bed at the same price. Otherwise, all was good. The manager was very nice and friendly. The hotel has a great location. And the croissants every morning for breakfast were delicious.

This hotel is truest charming! Very spacious and amazing location next to the Duomo! Welcome basket with jams, crackers and cookies. Water, milk and juice in the fridge. Fresh croissants every morning at your door. Everything about our stay was wonderful.
Only issue was trying to find it. It is in between restaurants...and can be very easily missed. However, once you do find it, you’ll be happily surprised!

The entrance is tiny and hard to find, but once you checked in you feel like you're local having beautiful apartment at the next to the cathedral. Highly recommended.

We had all the hustle and bustle during the day yet still very quiet at night.. hotel even had a little kitchenette which was handy. The bathroom was clean and we had our sheets changed every day which was great. Also wifi was very quick. My husband and I also loved the little croissant’s hung on our door each morning.

This small hotel was a great find. Right next to the Duomo, but you would never have know because it was so quiet despite the busy piazza outside.
Rooms were cool (great AC) and very comfortable, especially the beds and I slept wonderfully. Also, I have never been given so many towels in a hotel before, and not only that the main towel was huge! It made such a nice change. The little kitchenette was really well stocked as well, with everything you could need for breakfast or a light meal.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Firenze now I've stayed here.

It was a great stay, the decoration is so warm, nice and clean room with a kitchen, just like a home stay. There is a library on the 2nd floor, and so warm that you can enjoy free red wine while you are reading. Also on the top floor, a unique design space with nice decoration, sofa, table, glass roof, you can see the top of Florence Cathedral, enjoy the breakfast or nice relax time there.Very kind staff, a graceful maddam, I guess she is the owner. Location is great, just next to Florence Cathedral, but the hotel gate is quite small, not so easy to find. This is my first review in Hotel.com, becasue I am so happy with my stay, will come back in the further. can't up load a photo, maybe the photo is ok too large.

I stayed in the room with four windows to the duomo. Worth the extra price. An amazing location and room that is so unique to look out at the baptistery and duomo. I could also see the big Christmas tree as we were there just after Christmas. The front desk was very helpful for all our needs. Nice breakfast and kitchenette in our room. Highly recommend

Not recommended - Be warned - although you are not in Florence to watch TV, the television service in this boutique hotel was AWFUL. On regular TV there are only 4 stations, each in different languages. The direct TV only included infomercials. When I asked the staff, they said sorry, this is all they have. For a 4 star hotel, this is not acceptable. I also reserved a room with 2 beds and even called several weeks before to confirm, BUT was given one double bed that I had to share with my travel mate. Since there are only 8 rooms, the manager was unable to accommodate two single beds, and ended up making up the bed in a way that there were 2 sleeping sections. The hotel is beautiful, but these two issues cause me to rate it at a 2 out of 5. Buyer beware

This place has so much charm. It’s proximity to the duomo as well as it’s lovely staff is worth the time I spent reading reviews.

Florence is a great city and is our favorite place in Italy so far.

The staff at granduomo go out of their way to help you. The rooms are spacious and feel like a mini apartment. The fresh pastries each morning, juice, hams, snacks, drinks are a special touch. I loved being here. We could enjoy the piazza del duomo in the early or late hours and be almost completely alone with the most beautiful scenery.

It is in the most busy area. But it’s also got a rooftop lounge that overlooks the duomo. Stay here! You’ll love it.

This really is a charming property. No grand entrance and right beside a leather shop with 1/7 on the door...be on the lookout for that. There are two older ladies at the front desk with their \"ledger\" ready to check you in. The room was clean, comfortable and yes, charming. We had a little kitchen with a fridge stocked with juice, milk, yogurt and the cabinet has cereals, fruits and jellies and they deliver fresh croissants to you in the morning. We did have a balcony but no view to speak of but that wasn't a problem. They had a little library type room with complimentary bottles of wine for guest to partake. And the duomo was right across the street as well as lots to sights to see in the area. Its within walking distance from the train station...about 10 minute walk.

The hotel was amazing. The location could not have been better. We were in a room with a balcony which had a gorgeous view. Fresh fruit, bakery croissants, crackers & fruit spreads were left in the room everyday. Wine & coffee were available daily in a separate reception area. Marinella & Andreea were very friendly and helpful at the front desk. You will not be disappointed with this hotel.

Perfect location, perfect hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located in the main square of Florence, with the train station only a 10 minute walk away as well - perfect for day trips away to other parts of Italy. The room itself is everything you could want for a week away with your partner, very clean and comfy. Breakfast is also provided to your room which saves you the hassle and cost of trying to find somewhere to eat in the busy square. The staff are really friendly and were very helpful booking taxis for us. The hotel also offers a library room for relaxing with free coffee and wine, and a Sky Deck on the top floor which is great for relaxing with views over Florence. I would 100% recommend this hotel for any couples’ trip to Florence.

The hotel was clean and all hotel amenities you need were there. You cannot ask for a better location, central, ideal for walking, but away from trafic. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. So close to the Duomo we couln’t believe it. This accommodation took “a room with a view” to a whole different level. Fantastic location being so handy to everything one wants to see in Firenze. Quiet, when windows were closed. Very comfortable bed. Staff very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would recommend it to everyone.

The basic kitchen amenities here give you the option of eating in for lunch or dinner, just in case like us you are touring around Italy and eating out three times a day, at his was a refreshing option!
It is a little unusual in the sense that it could be a hotel or apartment - once you get your head around any however and manage to find the place for the first time, it’s a comfortable, convenient, accommodating and pleasant place to stay

We couldnt have asked for anywhere better in the centre of florence. We loved sitting on the balcony over looking the dome every night watching the world go by. Our family of four stayed in the 4 person, 2 bedroom suite with views of the duomo. It was perfect. Communication before arriving was great. The map provided before our stay made finding the location very easy. We came by train do it was no more than a ten minute walk and the location can't be better.. so close and walkable to everything. Our reception when arriving was warm, and welcoming.. We arrived earlier than checkin time but the wonderful lady at the front desk allowed us to check into one part of our suite .. we would especially like to thank her for all her kindness and information during our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and surprisingly super quiet despite being in a super busy area. Breakfast was a bonus for us as we are light eaters and something quick and easy was exactly what we wanted. We did not take advantage of the roof top view because the view from our room was great but we did peak in briefly and it's quite nice. Charming, beautfifully whimsical, boutique hotel right next to the Duomo and Cathedral. Centrally located, walking distance to cafes, restaurants and shops, plus the Ponte Vechio. Friendly helpful staff, free breakfast in room, free wine in library! Our new home in Florence!

We stayed at Granduomo for a trip for my wife's birthday. We were made to feel so welcome. The location is amazing and the apartment was excellent. We will definitely be returning to this accommodation. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

What a location! Central Florence right next to the Duomo. Walking distance to everything. Beautiful apartment, spacious, spotlessly clean, lovely beds and linen. Very nicely furnished. Reception staff were very helpful and we would strongly recommend.

Charming hotel next to the Duomo

We stayed in the balcony room with the Duomo view....it could not have been more special! The hotel, although situated in a busy piazza, is quiet and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and ready to be helpful with restaurant suggestions/reservations and arranging taxi services. The small kitchenette in the Duomo view room is well stocked and the breakfast provided is generous and appreciated, as is the wine and coffee bar in the adjoining library. This is an upscale experience with beautiful architectural details, wonderful linens, and a generous amount of space. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will look forward to staying here again.

Great stay at the granduomo

Everything about our stay within the granduomo was great. We really did enjoy our stay and recommend to all who visit Florence or firenze. We did not expect to be so close to the main duomo in the city and were really pleased to learn that we were staying to central to everything. Everything is literally just outside the front door. The hotel has a coffee and tea room which anyone can use as they wish and a top floor which overlooks the city and duomo. My partner and I played cards whilst taking in the beautiful views. Definitely a 10/10.

Lovely accommodation

This was a really super place to stay. Right in the heart of the city and close to everything. The accommodation was very charming, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen included a microwave, two hobs, an Italian coffee machine, a fridge and a kettle. Every day we were re-stocked with milk, a bottle of still water, orange juice, yoghurt, cream cheese, jam, and cornflakes. Overall, the accommodation was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

It was advertised that a fresh breakfast basket would be delivered every day and this was the only downfall. One small cake per person (which was horrible and from a packet) was hung on our door each morning. We threw it away every day and it was really a waste of time. Nothing else was delivered and that was hardly a 'basket'. One of our party was gluten free and we only had a gf breakfast delivered once in four days, so that was also disappointing. However, there are excellent coffee shops and a wonderful bakery just around the corner (and Florence is great for GF food) so we were able to get something fresh and delicious each day.

Great location

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Still roomy after a week. Noisy pipes were a minor annoyance but there was no external noise. All staff were very accommodating.

Third visit....just as wonderful.

This, our third stay here since 2015, is just like a homecoming. Same special staff and comfortable, quiet accommodation. The location is perfect for all things Florentine. You have no clue that there are hundreds of people outside your door when you are in the room. The Duomo is next door, not a block away, next door! Very kind staff. You can pay a lot more and get less.

A cute place in Florence

Excellent location, facing the Duomo. Entrance very difficult to find : look for a very small doorway next to a kiosk - looks like a store entrance, but if you look closely, you notice the sign. Room had a kitchenette, the fridge has stuff for breakfast in it. Also hotel brings you 2 muffins to supplement what is in the pantry
