The location was EXCELLENT. Not even 2 blocks away from the cathedral, very central lively and nice neighborhood. Staff was very attentive and the service was great. The room was perfect and the bathroom too. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Florence.

The hotel is steps from the Duomo, this is not an exaggeration. You step out the door of the hotel and it’s on your left. Breakfast was included but we did not attend. Rooms were clean, it had more of an apartment feel than a hotel. Elevator is a micro elevator that fits 3 suitcases if you’re lucky.

My biggest complaint has nothing to do with the hotel. Starting at 7am the church bells go off every hour. With being so close to the church it definitely wakes you up.

There were no signs at the entrance / front door indicating the hotel name or any reference that the building you are standing in front of was a hotel. We were fortunate to know we were at the right location when a nice guest who was on her way out told us we were at the right location.

Elevator is very narrow but common in Europe. Reception area was not inviting and didn't look like a reception area, staff did not greet you or acknowledge you standing there (when we arrived it was a young man and lady that was on duty). The older woman who was on duty when we checked out was much nicer.

There is no laundry facility on site as indicated.

The shower in our room was very very narrow (I'm 5'3 / 120lbs). Water would go very hot or very cold all of a sudden. Bed was not very comfortable (the middle of the matress dipped), pillow was quite hard. Room is very spacious.

There are lots of hotels in the same area, I think for the price paid we could've done much better than what we got.

The location was amazing! 1 minute from the Duomo and 10 minutes from the train station.
The room itself was good and had what we needed for our stay.

The noise on the street was really bad and affected our sleep every night, which isn’t something the B&B can control, although they did provide ear plugs. People on the street would stop around midnight but then garbage would start around 12:30pm, and construction started between 2:30am - 5:30am and didn’t stop until 7am.

We got bitten a lot by mosquitos during our stay there.

Overall, thankful to have stayed at the B&B because of the location but wouldn’t stay again.

I personally have no complaints, my room faced the street and it could be noisy which did not bother me but if you are sensitive to that you might want a room that does not face the street. The hotel offered ear plugs. You will need to pay the city tax in cash which I was not aware of beforehand. There is an ATM steps away so it was easy to manage. Staff was great and everything was immaculate. I would stay there again.

We booked the Premium Apartment 3 bedroom for 2 adults, 2 20 yr olds and a 14 yr old. We only stayed one night but certainly stay here in the future. The rooms were spacious, the location was perfect and the staff was wonderful!

The room was mostly clean and the staff were nice. It is a good location for walking. But it is extremely noisy outside, located above a bar. Hard to sleep with the constant noise from the garbage area just outside. Sounds of bottles being deposited all night long and very early in the morning. Across the street from a school or something like that, with hoards of teenagers making a lot of noise early in the morning.

Great location, yet very small room. Very loud, we had to purchase ear plugs to sleep. Had to walk to another venue for breakfast which stopped at 10:30am, we thought we had booked a bed and breakfast. Housekeeping didn’t clean cups or glasses. Mini fridge was loud and leaked during our stay. It was unfortunately our last accommodation after a month of travelling in Europe and was the least comfortable. We were disappointed.

No bells and whistles. Rooms were ok. Not super clean but functional. Requested a crib that wasn’t there when we arrived and had to wait a couple of hours late in the evening. Elevator is very tight which makes it hard to maneuver with family luggage. Staff was very friendly and location is unbeatable.

The location of this hotel is great. It is close to all the tourist attractions. The hotel service is excellent. Every day, the staff leave the room clean with new towels and sheets. It has the basic needs. Do not expect a spa or a pool.

Great, affordable, safe and clean place to stay!

Check in is a little bit confusing, just need clear indication at the entrance of building that you need to take the elevator to A level to check in, other than that, ladies at reception are polite, helpful and friendly! Building is clean and safe, room is roomy and clean and location couldn’t be better! Right in the center of town, walkable everywhere and stores and restaurants even laundromats at a short walking distance. Breakfast service is provided at a restaurant short walk from the hotel, simple but good options provided to fill your stomach and prepare for a day of sightseeing. I Would definitely stay here again!

It is close to the duomo but at night, it gets noisy due to the music or the trucks coming to pick up trash. Also, you need to walk about 3 minutes to have breakfast although no problem with us. Staff were great and helpful. Bathroom is small and the drain in the shower area doesn’t work well and we had to keep turning off the water when we showered or else it would flood the floor.

Location was perfect, near everything. No 24 hr front desk. Our room for 4 was very spacious. The property was getting renovations done and was noisy in the morning. Another problem is that the glass front door slams at all time and at night is annoying and loud. Difficult to sleep if you are in the first rooms. The staff is super friendly.

Poor air-conditioning

Upon arrival we were greeted by two very pleasant associates. We checked in. As soon as we got there, we tried to turn the air conditioning to be cooler. It was not working. One of the young ladies came to our room and tried adjusting it. We spent a very uncomfortable night the first night. I returned to the office on the morning of June 11 and complained that the room was not cooling. The second room that my son-in-law, grandchildren, and daughter were in was absolutely fine. I was told on June 11 that the housekeeping staff had reported water on the floor and our unit was not working correctly. She at that time said she would contact the manager. At that time we were given a fan and some sort of cooling unit that was dirty. At 11:30 PM the second night we were trying to cool down the room with the fans and clean the cooling unit that was provided.

The next morning we met with the manager and she was Very unpleasant. She tried to tell us that the rooms were absolutely fine and that the air conditioning is an older unit, and we are just not used to having the room as cool as we would like. I knew that she was being dishonest, because the workers the day before told us that the unit was not working and that they had called someone and they had not showed up. The second room that my son-in-law, daughter, and grandchildren were in, was absolutely fine and cooled perfectly. I feel that she rude and inconsiderate, We were moved to another room. Emailed hotel to no avail.

Hotel room was extremely hot, compared to the other hotels we stayed in during our Italy trip it was awful.
Room locks via key from INSIDE as well as outside, creating a big safety hazard.
Breakfast not included, despite booking website advertisement. Cost 8 euro per person for their breakfast not even located in the same building.
Easier to get breakfast in a local cafe for half the price.

There was poor signage for this property so a little hard to find in the midst of large crowds and Florence's first heatwave.
Staff provided a nice welcome.
The interior was rather plain but the rooms were clean with renovated bathrooms. The location is the selling point.

This property is WONDERFUL! It's in the middle of everything historical. It's located within a few hundred meters of the Duomo and the Baptistry, and within walking distance of shopping, trattorias, gelato, markets, and museums. The city has so much to offer! Staying at Le Stanze del Duomo was the highlight of our trip; we're in the middle of everything, and we could make several stops to rest throughout the day, and yet do everything we planned for. Laura was super helpful and kind! Actually the whole reception crew was great and made sure we were comfortable and our requests were met. Despite being an old lodging, but it's well-maintained and very comfortable. It has all the essential amenities and all the charm to keep you want to come back to it :)

Great location with a balcony. You can look left on the balcony and see the bapistry at the Duomo. Look right and the Medici palace is on the corner. Locaton was perfect. Room was simple with huge doors that opened to the balcony. I’d stay here again

LOVED IT!!

We stayed in Santa Croce room. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful with suggestions where to visit, dine and arranging transportation to the airport.

Our room was clean, bright and had lots of space making it very comfortable. It was also on the back of the building so it was quiet, no street noise.

It was walking distance to most of the sights and shopping.

We would highly recommend this stay and would absolutely stay there next time.

Really appreciated the breakfast boxes as we were out touring and couldn’t do breakfasts in time for two of our mornings.

Nice location near the duomo, shopping, and museums. Train station is a 10 minute walk. Wifi was absolutely horrible...wouldnt stay connected for longer than 5 mins. The room we had was clean and spacious. It was a little difficult to find our room but i felt safe as there 4 different doors you had to get through. The TV had only 1 station to watch.
