Our stay in Florence was made so easy and convenient by staying here at Residenza Maglioni. It is situated within a 5min walk to the Duomo and so many other sites in Florence. The room itself was well kept and tidy with a comfy bed and easily accommodated my wife, son and I. It was the perfect place for our 2 night stay.

We were communcated with well in the 24 hours up to arriving and met at the property and guided to our room. The bathroom was fine, beds were clean and comfy, free water and coffee outside of the room was useful. The room was also very quiet with no road noise or noise from other rooms. The air conditioning worked fine (and was welcome as it was 40 degrees outside!). The best thing about the place was the location - about 4 doors down from the cathedral and central square. The only downside for us was the breakfast is at another location. We knew this when booking so it wasnt a shock, but is a slight inconvenience. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing location of course, steps from Duomo. Good price (comparatively, not objectively). That’s about it. Team is nice and helpful. Room wasn’t so comfortable, but not exactly sure why. It was just thrown together, and floors were cold. Bathroom was old and didn’t fit the rest of the building and room. Entrance janky with tiny elevator (if you need it, only 1 story up). I’d still recommend it if price and location are your main factors, as they were for us.

Awesome location, we could walk to pretty much all tourist spots including 10 min to Firenze train station. City tax is collected in cash, so carry some euros. Included breakfast was in another building, which was 10 min away, but was not mentioned in the booking. But, people are very kind and will accommodate and help as much they can. They can communicate over whatsapp, so you don't need phone number and just data with esim is fine. Vodaphone esim worked great for us. 2GB was enough for 7 days.

The incorrect address was listed on Expedia website and we drug our luggage through Florence for almost a mile to get to the correct address. Shower had no water pressure in the morning so we could not shower. The lady that helped with our check in was super friendly and helpful but that was the highlight of this stay.

Stayed here Nov 15-18. I contacted to let them know I had bed bug bites. They indicated they were sorry for”my” troubles. I asked them to check the room. They did not offer any compensation. I am home a week now and I have had to throw away expensive clothes, luggage, coats, and fumigate my car and quite possible my entire home.

This place was really clean and offered nice bed and comforter etc. No person nor lobby on the premise but they were helping me using whatsapp and call quickly. THE LOCATION AND THE RATE WAS AMAZING AND I will stay again if I travel alone again. The only thing we were bothered by it was that cigarette smell was coming in through bathroom vent and it was pretty bad for my family. We had to close the bathroom door all the time but its not pleasant to get ready in the morning smelling cigarettes. Perhaps its coming from other residents in the building not the guests.

Beautiful hotel right next to all of the major sites in Florence and within walking distance of the train station. Rooms were very clean. The water machine where we could fill up our bottles was a great amenity. The staff went above and beyond- I was nervous about the self check-in because we would be arriving late but Daniel was kind enough to meet us at the hotel and helped us check in in person. You are also sent videos and directions on how to check in before you arrive, so you're not figuring it out on your own. The only drawback was that the walls were very thin and we could hear people in the halls and in the room next to us. I would absolutely stay here again- thank you to the staff for the lovely stay!

Also there is an elevator to the first floor if needed and it is only a short walk from both the main tram stop and the Duomo. My husband and I LOVED staying here. It was close to the Duomo and an easy walk to most of the touristy attractions. Checking in was easy and we felt right at home. And the room was spotless. The bed was sufficiently comfortable, though I wouldn't say the hotel was luxurious. Everything was clean and neat. Great location, sparkling clean, and friendly staff. hotel location is close to shops, restaurants, churches and Duomo..the room is clean but small and a bit dark due to paint color beige and with brown accent ..there is a refrigerator and a water heater should guest want to make coffee.. no microwave. Stayed here for 2 nights as I was exploring Tuscany and it was a delightful experience. The room is modern and clean, and Gabriella, the host, is so nice and accommodating and her place is in the perfect spot in the heart of the city where you can almost walk everywhere, and it's a 10min walk to Santa Maria Novella train station where most of the Tuscany excursion companies have their meet-up point.

My favorite hotel is Italy absolutely! I even wanted to stay in Florence more because of this hotel. The front desk lady is very graceful and nice, she helped us with everything we needed. The room was very big and clean, close to the street, but not nosiy at all. The decoration of the hotel felt like home once we walked in. The bed was huge! In a word everything was so perfect, I love this place.

This was a very well located place, a couple blocks from duomo and close to all the main attractions. We arrived in the afternoon so the hotel gave us a code to enter the building which was very easy. The room itself was large, and very modestly furnished. The bathroom was clean but on the smaller side. The staff was really nice, the WiFi was fast and you really can't beat the location. For the price this is a great room.

Excellent communication from hotel staff during booking process enabled finding the hotel easily & gaining access to the 2nd floor apartments after hrs. It was a 10min walk from the main railway station to the hotel. Our room had its own bathroom & toilet with coffee/tea making facilities. It was clean & very comfortable with servicing every day. Staff were very helpful. Hotel location allowed easy walking access to local markets, eateries, bars & places of historical interest.

My brother and I stayed here for two nights in Florence and enjoyed it very much. The hotel was extremely convenient and clean. The room was airy and clean. It faced the main street and was noisy at times when the windows were open, but comfortably quiet with them closed. The bathroom was also clean and standard size for a European bathroom (small by American standard). The only thing that wasn't great was that the wifi was down for much of our stay and the gentleman at the front desk was not always available during the day. However, overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would stay here again.

We loved our stay at the tourist house. We expected to have to wear earplugs at night because it is very central, but we ended up sleeping very soundly - the room was very quiet. Perfect launching pad for all the attractions in the historical center of Florence, which can all be done on foot. The staff was present at the agreed time to greet us and provided us with helpful info on what to do and see in Firenze.

Great location, large room, and friendly staff. A quick walk from the train station and steps from the Duomo. There are great restaurants nearby and since Florence is fairly small you are within easy walking distance of most sites. I would definitely recommend.

Just a few minutes walk to the Santa Maria Novella and less than 10 mins walk to the Firenze SMN Station. The hotel is the second floor of a three story building. While the room was cleaned everyday and the location was excellent (one block from the Duomo), the staff was rarely present at the front desk. When we arrived at the hotel, the door was locked with amessage on it saying to call the following number because we are at our other hotel five minutes away. This was difficult for us to do because we did not have a phone as of yet. The other hotels in the building would not help us. I had to find a passerby who would let me use his phone to try to make contact. Once I did, they did show up. This hotel is fine if your are independently travelling and want a decent clean room in a good location (noisy at night, though). If you are looking for more, look elsewhere.

This was our favorite hotel of all the hotels we stayed in in Italy. We stayed 2 nights and were glad. It is a great location and the room we had was very large for Europe. It had a renovated bathroom that was clean and an air conditioner and flat screen tv. I can't believe we paid so little. The hotel is a few steps away from the Duomo and center of town and near the train station too which is convenient.
The only problem is that there is never any staff there and you have to find a phone to call them and tell them you are there to let you in. We had to find a stranger on the street that would let us borrow their phone and then we had to wait 5 to 10 for them to show up and let us in. They need a phone outside the door or a button that calls them like some other hotels do.

The plus side is how central the placement of this facility is. The down side is that we got a room that was giving directly into the building main stairs, we could hear people coming and going at all times of the night. As you can expect in such building the heavy doors opening and closing are very loud and there are many people going around sometimes very late or very early. We did not get a full night sleep without interruption.
