No central air conditioning and extremely small air conditioning unit.
When you go out and remove your key from the room, lights are turned off (expected) BUT the AC UNIT IS ALSO TURNED OFF!!!
This is insane, came back at 11pm to a room like an oven and had to wait 3+ hours until it cooled down enough to sleep.
No AC in the bathroom either.
And.. someone had the dumbest idea of putting a piano next to my door. Oh my!, no more comments.

No service when needed. We broke a glass and couldn't get a broom or house cleaning til the next morning. While cleaning up the glass ourselves we found pills and drugs under the bed.... Very unhappy with this hotel if we had children in here and they found those pills it would have been very bad.

Excellent location right across the street from the Cathedral. The room was super spacious (for European standards) with a nice clean bathroom and comfy bed. You do have to take the stairs when you first check-in and check-out (something to note if you have luggage). Also, since it’s in the heart of the city you will hear street noise/diners outside at night, but it kinda adds to the ambiance and didn’t bother me at all. The owner is super nice and let me keep my luggage there for an extra night. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Sorry to say I put myself in such miserable situation after long ride to reach the property we discovered we can’t find it, wondering around for 30 minutes asking the boutique just on first floor of the property a young man said, don’t know then by chance a couple came out from an very old elevator, we asked as they are residents of Doumo Hotel, they asked to go up to 4 floor where the hotel whereas our hotel is on first floor which can’t reach because it’s locked and we need a key. Isn’t strange no reception but we found a button and name of our hotel we kept pressing with no answer then we decided to go up to 4th floor where Doumo Hotel is. There we find an receptionist when I asked him on our hotel he confirm yes it is on 1st floor but I said we can’t reach it and I asked if we can find a room in his hotel he said it is fully booked I mentioned to this guy after such experience is that a scam he confirmed no no it isn’t and there is somebody will appear then me and my wife got down finally my wife pressed the button and shouted someone answered after I was almost heading myself out of the building to find another hotel.
No one contacted us after we got our keys and card, no telephone inside the room. No breakfast, there is a note says there cafe down if you purchased your breakfast. It isn’t a hotel but if it was I will rank it zero stars.
Please Expedia it is your responsibility when you advertise on anything you should well know what has been written is 100% true.

This is literally the closest you can get to the duomo, super clean room and really safe. Parking is a bit pricey and its a bit hard to find the entrance but once you find it, it's great!

The hotel location is one of the best perks. Right across the cathedral and Duomo. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were able to leave our bags before check in time so we can enjoy the city. I highly recommend it!

The property is well situated for sightseeing,train station etc
Everything is provided to a reasonable standard. The reception staff were very helpful, provided use of adapters when mine didn’t work. Provided maps of the area. The lift to our rooms is quite a feature. It takes only 3 persons at a time , the inner door of the lift opens automatically but the outer door has to be opened manually. The rooms are on the first floor so stairs can be used if preferred.

This property is so close that you feel like you can reach out the window and touch the Duomo. It’s a very convenient location right in the middle of the action however be warned there is a lot of activity right outside of your window and you will hear people until the early hours. This did not bother us so it was perfect. We also had to request an after hours check in due to travel delays and it was very simple. We were given exact instructions, and it was no problem at all. We enjoyed our stay very much.

While centrally located, the property was not worth the price. There was a septic smell coming from the bathroom and the staff were not as communicative and helpful as the description of this property promised. For the money, I'm sure you can find better accommodations near enough to the city center. For ~100 euro less a night, I'd say this is a fine enough crash pad if you just want to be in the center of the action but otherwise... would not reccomend.

You should know, the ‘front desk’ is not staffed like a normal hotel (hence the bed & breakfast). When you give an arrival time, it’s more like a scheduled appointment. We were navigating our way to this location in a rental car in Pouring Rain so we were late to arrive. The woman greeting us to check in could not have been kinder. She completely understood we were tourists in an unfamiliar area & delays happen, so we were really grateful for that warm reception. Truly, such a nice woman. The location is incredible. Literally like the pictures. You cannot stop looking out your window. Beds were pretty comfortable & we were given extra pillows upon request. Regarding the smells, there was a constant rotten egg odor from the bathroom which we understand to be normal for Florence. We kept drains closed & covered when not using & that helped a lot. You get used to it. Bring your own toiletries, those were sparse. Coffee Station was a beautifully stocked bonus area. We were told by the cafe below that we might have coupons for breakfast but we were never offered one. I think it’s an option when booking so if that’s important to you, look for it. The yummy croissants are worth buying either way. We would stay here again for sure. It’s a really neat place.

The front desk was not staffed during my stay. I arrived after the front desk had closed. They had sent me instructions (after several requests) for afterhours self check-in. The front desk was supposed to be staffed the next morning but was not. This meant I could not retrieve the breakfast vouchers. This resulted in an inconvenience and additional expense. When I went to check-out mid-morning, the desk was still unmanned. I dropped off the room key on the desk and left.

The property was nice, secure and directly across from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Go out the door at the front of the property and look up... the dome was tithe there! We did the dome climb, it was awesome! It was a little difficult to get there from the train station on our check in day but only because of a 5 or 10k race, but by the end of the day they were taking barriers down. Everything was easily accessible from here. Absolutely beautiful city! The only thing i had an issue with was that the manager was never there. I always dealt with the cleaning lady... even on check in.

Hard to find but a great place to stay

Pros: beautiful room, lovely balcony, comfortable bed, great shower, beautiful china tea cups with the coffee service, will store your bags for you after checkout
We would recommend taking the rickshaw tour around Florence— that was an added bonus!

Cons: no parking at the hotel but they direct you to a parking garage which is great but be aware you can’t go to the hotel directly to drop off your bags first. Also the hotel is actually a B&B within the Hotel Duomo and it faces the Duomo. That would have been great to know bc we had a hard time finding it.

Great location! But not soundproof, it gets noisy. It was nice to hear the music in the plaza at nights but during the day, the construction starts very early in the mornings. The bed and pillow weren’t the most comfortable. We had decent sleep but didn’t feel rested. It sucks that there is almost no one at the reception during the day because we were hoping to store our luggage for a couple of hours after checking out. The accommodation also lacks the finer details, such as there was an espresso machine but no pods, there was wine in the mini fridge but no bottle opener or glasses.

Although the room was in a convenient are, it was the most miserable nights sleep we’ve ever had! The air conditioner was blowing warm air all night so we didn’t sleep at all. We both soaked the bed with sweat. It was absolutely miserable. I told the host about it after the first night and nothing was done. The second night was the absolute worst night(at least 80 degrees F in our room). I did tell him again and he said sorry but the air was fine. Total rip off

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The room was spotlessly clean (possibly the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in) and the views of the duomo from the suite are breathtaking, made only better by the music from street performers we could hear with the windows open in the evenings. With the windows closed it was quiet & peaceful. Check in was smooth & straight forward and our host was incredibly friendly and helpful offering restaurant and experience suggestions. I would 100% stay again if we visit beautiful Florence again!

Our stay started off terribly and got worse.The first night (11:59PM exactly, confirmed by security footage), one of the employees opened our locked door (locked from inside) and walked into our room. We were already hearing lots of noises in the hallway leading to our room so we tried to barricade the door with our suitcases before this, as well as locking it. Despite the locked door, resistance by the suitcase barrier and both of us inside the room calling out to \"Stop\" and that the room was occupied, the employee ignored all of this and walked in anyways. Not only was this a breach of privacy as we were in bed trying to sleep at this late hour, this was a HUGE security/safety concern. With our door locked and us in the room, the employee still came in. I jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed to try confront and discover who broke into our room in the hallway. He ignored me completely. We were now worried for the rest of the trip that there was a highly probable chance that an employee could simply enter our room as they please. For this reason, and the fact that there is no safe on the property for your valuables, we actually kept our valuables (money, jewelery, etc...) on our persons for the whole entire trip. This put as at risk the whole time, but at least this way we had some control over our valuables seeing as they were with us and not left unguarded at the property. There is more to this review, but a limit on Expedia review size. Go literally anywhere else!!!!!

Book the suite if you can!!! The view of the Duomo was breathtaking!! The room was beautiful, clean and very quiet at night due to the double windows in the bedroom. Bed was memory foam and very comfortable. I couldn’t believe how soundproofed the room became despite the craziness below. A highlight for me was having a glass of wine in the tub after a long day of sightseeing and gazing at the Duomo through the open window of the bathroom. Simply unreal. Staff answered my requests swiftly. After check ( I believe it was after dinner) I requested two extra pillows and they arrived in the room within an hour. The hotel held our luggage for us the day of check out. They were friendly, courteous and respectful. We loved our stay here.

Great location but not our favorite

The location is fantastic- right next to the Duomo. We were able to walk everywhere from there. Upon check in, the host greeted us and showed us how to use the keys. The building that it is located in is a bit dark and creepy to be honest, but once inside the B&B, it is fine. The room was very clean, but there is no storage for clothes. Another drawback compared to a hotel is that there is no staff on location 24H and no concierge (there is an info card in the room with recommendations for restaurants, etc.). If a clean room in the perfect location is your top priority, this will do fine. If you want more amenities, I would look elsewhere.

I was very disappointed in the property. The room was nice but lacked amenities you expect at this price. It feels like a self-serve inn, giving you the bare minimum. Don’t count on having staff here or being available by phone. The last hotel I stayed at was a two star but provided so much more.

Couldn't have been any closer to the Duomo if we'd tried. Room was nice with a a cute little terrace with table and chairs. Our only negative was the noise level. We were in room n°6 right by the exterior stairs, elevator, and entrance. Could hear everything! Then on the inside, anytime someone walked in, the automatic light came on, shinning straight into our room.

The Expedia website does not mention that you can not drive to the property. It’s listed as a b & b yet there is no breakfast.

We had a great stay hosted by Bledi. There is an elevator so that made getting up to the second floor easy. The room was not large, and has a small fridge, espresso maker, and TV with Netflix which was nice to have. The room was very charming with older style furniture and a comfortable canopy bed. We were right next to the Duomo, and we did not hear noise in the room at night! The shower worked well with good force and hot water. You should be aware that this is not a hotel but a B&B, so you won't have a front desk; but Bledi was responsive to our texts when we needed to communicate. Someone came in to tidy up every day. A small minus was the wifi service was a bit weak where we were, but as long as you have a backup on your phone its fine. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

The Cattedrale is right outside your door and it is a magnificent building. The B & B is centrally located and it's easy to walk everywhere.

The B&B's location next to the Duomo is convenient, making it walkable to many attractions and areas of interest.

Upon arrival and while stayed there I found that the front door staff was often absent, and communication was primarily done through WhatsApp.

The room was located on the 2nd floor, and unfortunately, the staff did not inform us beforehand that we could obtain the key from the room to access the lift upon arrival. As a result, we had to carry our heavy luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor without any assistance from the staff.

Overall Impression: While the location is excellent for exploring the city, potential guests should be aware of the communication method and the need to handle luggage independently during check-in especially if you come yo stay by yourself with a heavy luggage because you don’t want to leave your luggage unattended on the entrance and go up to get the lift key.

Convenient location, but really dirty washroom with drains constantly letting out unbearable sewage smell that we were told is just within normal. Saw a baby cockroach coming out of the shower drain on the day of the check-out and wanted to tell the owner but he wasn't there. Broken shower caddy with exposed sharp edges. Musty odour in the coffee maker. Every morning we had to wake up to extremely loud construction noises coming from renovations next door. No warning given about this from anyone.

It is a pleasant stay right next tot eh Duomo. If you want to be in the center of the city there is no better place.

With that in mind, I felt I lost a little bit on comfort. The bed was not very comfortable (medium firmness mattress, hard flat pillow, rough sheets). The curtains are very sheer and lots of natural light enters) bring an eye mask if you like to sleep in).

There was AC, it made a noise that sounded like there was a wind storm outside. This was very relaxing to sleep.

In the bathroom there was a bowrider and body wash. Overall the bathroom was pretty clean. The shower had good water pressure.

We absolutely loved this place. The room faced the nice street with all the art vendors etc. the host was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was more like a quaint air bnb. The room was very comfortable and clean and is conveniently located to walk to all the hot spots. I would definitely stay here again.

This property is located right across the street from Florence's Duomo. It has great restaurants and shopping all nearby. Everything is walkable and we especially enjoyed being able to spend time around the Duomo in the moonlight. Our room was comfortable and clean. The host was friendly and helpful.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was very clean and comfy, that along with the totally amazing location (across the pedestrian walkway from the Duomo) made this a very enjoyable stop on our Italian vacation.
