Our stay was overall very good! The room felt a little warm at times, but we really appreciated that they provided a fan, which helped a lot.

The only areas for improvement would be housekeeping. We noticed a few wall stains near the desk area in the room, and the towels weren’t replaced when the room was serviced. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, the experience would be even better.

That said, the hotel is in a fantastic location, and the staff was amazing, so welcoming and kind throughout our stay. Despite the minor room issues, we truly enjoyed our visit and would definitely consider staying here again.

this hotel is amazing! it’s so nice. the staff are extremely helpful and took our bags up and helped us book a dinner reservation. our room even had a sauna! the room was extremely clean as well. very centrally located, which made it easy to do the big florence sightseeing. also close to some good shopping and restaurants! would recommend staying here!

Stayed here for my birthday and had an amazing experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Florence—and the service was excellent. The staff made my stay feel special (esp. Clyde and Giovanni) who’s been helpful. Everything was comfortable and beautiful. Highly recommend!

Il servizio direi ottimo, riguardo alla camera 3 cose consiglierei: 1) rivedere la canalizzazione dell'aria perchè in camera c'era un pessimo odore di aglio bruciato di cucina, evidentemente canalizzato tramite la conduttura aria, infatti anche a riscaldamento spento dalle bocchetta dell aria entrava odore... 2) mettere un interruttore per la ventola di aspirazione in bagno in quanto non si puo spegnere e fa rumore 3) far pulire meglio la doccia.

This hotel is in a good location, but it is difficult to pull luggage back and forth to the train station because the road is made of uneven rocks of different sizes, and the wheels of your luggage easily get stuck between them.

My room is #109, and it is quite unusual. Although it is on the first floor, you have to go outside to the emergency stairs before entering the room. The room appears to be designed for a person with disabilities (which we did not request), so both the room and bathroom layouts are strange. The renovation also seems limited compared to my friend’s normal room, yet we all paid the same price.

Staff was very welcoming and graciously held our luggage and then transferred it to our room, as we arrived before check-in time. Room was immaculate and quiet even though we were next to the elevator. The only thing i would change was the room temp - it was fridgid, i think due to the registerlocation in the bedroom, even though we turned the temp up as much as allowed.

The rooms, bathrooms and lobby etc., were absolutely spotless. The Breakfast was awesome. Delicious food, great selection, varied healthy options each day.

The service was absolutely the best service I ever had..anywhere. They were so kind, helpful and attentive. You are lucky to have such a great staff. Especially. Rachel, Angela, Clyde and Nestor. Next time I’m in Florence I will be staying at the Solo Experience.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. The two women I dealt with at the front desk were unbelievably helpful, gracious, and kind. The housekeepers were efficient and understanding. The hotel is located in the heart of a lot of restaurants and shops, but at night, no noise filtered into my room. I’m traveling to five cities in Italy, and this has been my best stay by far. Fabulous fabulous hotel.

Hotel refused to honour the proper reservation and tried to get us to pay an additional 18 euro per person for extra breakfast when Expedia reservation said it was included. Contacted Expedia who called hotel themselves and still refused to provide breakfast. Many better options available.

This hotel is in a great location, very walkable to all the sites and restaurants. We didn't hear any noise from the market nearby or other hotel guests. Rachel the attendant at breakfast is AMAZING and made our stay even better. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again if I'm in Florence.

We really enjoyed our stay at Solo Express Hotel! It’s location is superb- it’s about 8 minute walk from the train station and only five minutes to the Duomo!

There are a lot of dining options in the nearby area, and the convenience store is right next door.

The facility is very clean and room is reasonable sized .
The staff is very friendly and provided helpful suggestions for our visit.

We will definitely stay here again when we visit Florence next time.

TLDR: Bed Bugs, placed in room that looked nothing like what we booked online

I want to start off by first praising the staff as they were very kind and we did not have any issues with the hotel staff at all. However, it’s imperative that I share our experience in the hopes others are informed before deciding to book with this hotel.

We had one small issue and one very serious issue during our stay here for our honeymoon:

Small issue: they first placed us in a room that looked nothing like the photos. It was on the first floor and it was a very bizarre room where you were isolated from others and it was outside. However, we did bring this up to the hotel management and they were swift in rectifying this and placed us in the room that we were expecting to lodge in which was excellent service!

Serious Issue: We woke up to 12 bed bug bites between my husband and I. And how did we know it was a bed bug? We found it and took a picture and showed the hotel management. They couldn’t place us in a different room outside of the one we specifically did not want and all they did was sanitize and disinfect the room. Did not offer any compensation or refund. The following night, despite being told they didn’t find any, we were bit again, another 10 bites. Each of them pussing, super red and hot. Refund still denied despite this experience.

As someone who travels frequently, I have never experienced this and highly dissatisfied with our experience.

We stayed here twice during our visit to Italy and we were so impressed by the staff and the property. We had to catch an early cab on our second stay and they even packed us a breakfast to go. Walking distance to many things, excellent food nearby,clean and updated facilities and very friendly and helpful staff.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! The hotel had an issue with very bad sewage smell in our room and was unable to fix it. Due to my wife’s Asthma we were not able to stay in the room. They did not have another room available for the first night which forced us to move to another hotel. They refused ANY refund saying that we had “already checked in” and that they had a NO REFUND POLICY (read the booking). They also stated to Expedia (which I booked through) that they fixed the problem while we were there. The fix was to pour strong smelling chemicals down all the drains to simply mask the Sewage smell which then horribly triggered my wife’s Asthma. If you have an issue they cannot fix and are FORCED to leave for MEDICAL reasons they will NOT refund your money! Very bad business practices!!! I cannot remember the last time I wrote a bad review about a hotel. I don’t complain often.

We had a fantastic time at the Solo Experience. With the complementary prosecco in the fridge to the wonderful breakfast in the morning it was a fantastic stay. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go and there was fantastic stores near by. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. On our last night we were so tired and they suggested a pizza place that does takeout. I would definitely stay here again!!

We really liked the location and custom service this hotel offered us. The rooms were modern and amenities were modern and nice. However, the first room they put us in had a bad smell emitting from the bathroom. Credit to them for switching us without issue, but we did have to switch rooms. The bed was very stiff and the pillows were horrible. Limping trash pillows. We did receive additional pillows but they were also bad. Also, no sound proofing. We heard every footstep, word and hotel door outside our room every night.

We stayed at the Solo Experience Hotel during our recent stay at Florence. The hotel is located right in the City Centre - a few minutes away to Central Florence and the train station. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel, lots of options to eat and shopping can be found. The staff is very friendly, cooperative and hospitable. They made an error with our bill but they were quick enough to fix it n apologized several times for it. The staff even went an extra mile to help us in sending back an item that we forgot at the hotel even though we were unable to get it in time due to our short stay in Rome. Hopefully they can keep it safe till our next trip the following year.

El hotel me pareció muy bueno, todo estaba limpio aunque cuando hacían la habitación no recogían las botellas de agua vacías ni lavaban las copas. Esta en un area super céntrica. El único inconveniente era que como teníamos carro rentado esta en un area restringida y no se puede entrar al hotel, pero lo si lo hicimos y nunca tuvimos ningún problema. El hotel se encarga de llevar y traer el carro a un parqueo ($35 diarios) y horario limitado de 7:00 a 8:00 pero puedes solicitarlo desde el día antes para que cuando bajes tu auto este parqueado frente al hotel. Es una opción fantástica para caminar Florencia de dic y de noche. Muchísimos restaurantes alrededor y mercados. El desayuno que lo teníamos incluido espectacular buffet y el staff muy amable. Recomendadisimo.

This hotel lacks basic facilties which is expected in a 4 star hotel. Example - they give a bottle of tap water on the first day in the room. After that if you need water, you have to take the water bottle to the reception and asl them to fill it whixh is like staying on a 2 star lodge.doesnt have even electric kettle. There was no facility even for cold drinking watee when it was peak summers with 38 degrees. Basically this is like a lodge. Shouldn't be 4 star hotel

We stayed in late May 2025. This was a beautifully renovated hotel in the heart of Florence, a short walk to the famous sites, fabulous restaurants, and excellent shops. The staff were absolutely fantastic and were incredibly kind and helpful - suggesting a lovely restaurant for dinner, providing directions, and making sure that we were well cared for during our short stay. The room was beautiful, too, with a beautiful view of the city, comfortable beds, excellent temperature control (air conditioner worked well), spacious bathroom with a lovely shower and toiletries (in case we forgot anything). I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
