We were happy we picked this hotel for our Florence stay. It is located very close to the train station - about a 10 minute walk - and then we walk everywhere during our stay to explore Florence. This hotel has two separate buildings located across the lane from each other. We stayed in one of the rooms in the 'Dependance' wing. It was extremely spacious, beautiful marble bathroom, very comfortable bed. The room was very clean and serviced daily. Breakfast was 'fine', not the biggest range, but there was enough on offer to sustain us. Breakfast eating area felt a tad dingy. We found a self-service launderette just around the corner on our last day.. too late for us to use, but might be good for you to know.

There were three problems with the room - two were fixed immediately, but the third - flooding of the bathroom every time I took a shower - was not fixed during my 3 night stay. Other than the room was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Best scrambled eggs since I’ve been in Europe for the last three weeks. Also, they actually cook the bacon. It was raw at the other hotels. The very best thing about this place is the staff who are amazing. Paulo, Paulo and James were all excellent and helped us out of a jam when our flight got canceled. They gave us lots of good recommendations for food, sight seeing and transportation. Hotel is near the train station. We are 74 and made the walk with our large suitcase and our two carry on bags each. Really close to theCentrale Mercato. Great real gelato around the corner at Pompi. We would taxi to the other side of town ( like Michael Angelo Piazza) on the hill or Pitti Palazzo and walk back. Corner restaurant Giglio was wonderful too. Ask for Nina and tell her an older couple who had their 54th anniversary here, recommended them.

Rating one star due to our room having bed bugs. When we brought this to the hotels attention, we were told there was not a manager on duty and we can deal with it in the morning. We checked out immediately. We seen the bed bugs as we were getting ready to get into bed, the AC went out so the room was extremely hot and that is when we seen the first one come out.

Strong perfume or deodorant or cleaning agent smell in our room. We stayed over the other building next door. We had to open the window at night due to the smell and it was noisy out side at night. It is fine if the windows were closed. Decent breakfast and friendly stuff. The room was clean.

What I really liked about this area was how convenient it was—just a short walk from the train station, with everything we needed close by. The staff was incredibly friendly and even gave us a detailed map with suggestions on things to do and how far everything was. When I walked into my room, it smelled fresh and clean, which made a great first impression. The only downside was that one of my towels wasn't clean, but honestly, that was a minor issue. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again!

The place is fantastic. Unfortunately, we stayed in a suite across the street where there was construction to a house next door starting at 7:00am. It was not the hotels' fault, but it did detract from the stay.

Excellent breakfast; every staff member was a pro and pleasant. Great, helpful attitude. The property is tucked away on a rather quiet street with no traffic; close to the museums and the Duomo. Walking distance from the train station also. I’d book again if I return to Florence.

The breakfast was good. Staff was helpful. I would give it a five if it wasn’t for the fact that I had many many bug bites that I would wake up with each morning. I found a bug in my bed. They changed all the sheets. But I had more bites the next day. They checked and said they saw notebooks and I feel like there was definitely an issue. I did not open the window and did not see any mosquitoes. I don’t know what the problem was, but I feel like they should’ve refunded me some of my money because all of the bug bites are painful and there is about 30 of them!

Beautiful little hotel in a perfect location - a few blocks from the train station, one block from the tour bus stop and the market, a few blocks from El Duomo and from there, a few more blocks to the Uffizi and the river. Perfect! The staff was always helpful; they even set up breakfast for us an hour and a half early so we could catch a train. Breakfast, by the way, was terrific. This was the second time I'd stayed at this hotel and I wouldn't go anywhere else!
