Room needs to be maintenanced (toilet paper roll falling off, kitchen sink leaking). Space is noisy, but you are in centralized location so to be expected, but walls very very thin. No idea where to take out trash, so it piled up.

- The check in process was clear and easy to follow.
- Location was great, situated close to landmarks, restaurants and shopping stores.

Cons:
- Hot water for shower was limited to a maximum of 10 minutes per day and on the final night/day did not function at all, especially inconvenient given the cold weather.
- Despite arriving in winter, there were no extra covers or blankets provided. While we were able to locate additional blankets in an alternate building after communicating with the host, these blankets were cot sized and we needed 3 to cover the entire bed.
- The bed cover was too thin and also had a small stain on it.
- Air-conditioning only functioned intermittently and required a representative to come adjust the settings, after which it continued to only function intermittently. The host was kind enough to offer a separate room for the night.

Overall we had five apartments for thirteen people. The office maintain good communication with us and the staff was very helpful.
The on-site staff person tried to take care of our needs and even made taxi reservations for us.
The apartment size gave us visiting space and the kitchen and clothes washer were handy. The only problem we had was an occasional foul sewage odor in one of the apartments. The in-house staff tried to resolve the problem, but didn’t completely resolve the issue.
The location is excellent and the major attractions are within easy walking distance.
We would stay here again.

This property comes with extremely high ratings. I had booked it specifically because of its location, high ratings, and kitchen with washer/dryer. The suite we were given for our week long stay was not at all the clean and bright suite pictured. The bathroom had a HORRIBLE sewer smell. The property is bandaiding the problem by using an automated air freshener (ironically it was out during our stay) and an air purifier (which did not help). The noise level at all hours of the day and night was also unreal. This is an older building and there were gaps in the windows when shut that could be seen through. They did next to nothing for sound control. What did save us was the a/c units which had a powerful fan option. That helped to stop block out the conversations we could hear 5 floors up from the street. Our fifth night, both a/c units stopped working. The hotel was fully booked so we were SOL. Normally we would sleep with the windows open in this situation, but given the noise, you can understand why we did not. There was a plug in fan which we used, but it was an extremely warm sleep. Maintenance never came to check either issue in the suite. We were able to move for our last night to a suite at the back of the property. It was extremely quiet and did not have a fan or bathroom air freshener telling me we got a lemon of a unit at first. We were refunded a very small portion and I have never heard back from the company regarding my concerns. I’d never stay with this chain.

Very central location - 1 minute from Ponte Vecchia. Very comfortable room with a small kitchen area. View from the balcony wasn’t very exciting - looking onto other apartment balconies - but we did go for one of the cheaper rooms and photos of other rooms suggest some balconies have better views. Rooms aren’t serviced during your stay but we were only there three nights so not a problem for us. All communication is by email or WhatsApp and you are given a code to check in (no check in desk) but it all works well and we received several texts during our stay to check all was ok. The only problem for us was the people staying above us were quite noisy (at about 3 in the morning) and being an old building the soundproofing between floors isn’t great but all in all a very good stay and I would recommend.

Frustrating experience

We were so disappointed with our experience at Bob W. We arrived to a room that did not have the advertised laundry or king sized bed, and the bathroom smelled of urine. Then when trying to fix the situation, it took nearly two hours to communicate with first the AI attendant, then someone via the chat function.

With all that, they did upgrade our room, but only for one night, so we had to move rooms again the next day, and we still had the king bed issue given the false advertising. They list it as a king but then chatted us that it was a 'Euro King,' aka a queen bed.

The whole thing felt like a waste of time and money, and we will not be staying at a Bob W again.

Bob W Ponte Vechio is in a great location, and based on all of the reviews was why we picked this hotel while staying in Florence. Booking was easy and convenient. That’s where the good stops.

Note that this is not a hotel with a front desk, daily room service, etc. This is more of a service apartment. We checked in and the room was clean, but the room looks tired. The flooring was misaligned, the bathroom sink faucet leaked, the bathroom counter is warped.

When staying here, there is only enough hot water for one person to shower, as there is only a small water heater in the bathroom. The duvet had no cover on it and was stained. There was no safe in the room for valuables. The hotel is also extremely loud. You can hear every time someone walks into the building, closes the door, and walks up the stairs.

The worst part came where we lost power in our room from 6am -2pm on day. Fortunately they could fix it that day, but was an inconvenience.

While this hotel looks promising, I would consider other options.

The BOB W apartment by the Ponte Vecchio bridge was a 10/10! Best location with a 1-minute walk to the bridge, a grocery store, lots of restaurants, bakeries, gelato and shopping! Our family of three stayed here in the middle of our two week trip in Italy, since we wanted the fully-equipped kitchen and the washer. (They also had a drying rack). The apartment is roomy, very nicely renovated, and with comfortable beds. Loved the security and great directions on how to get in. The response time was immediate if we had a question. Great customer service! Would highly recommend this apartment if you come to Florence!

Wonderful Stay at Bob W Apartment in Florence – Highly Recommend!
This was our first time staying in an apartment instead of a hotel, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised! The Bob W apartment in Florence had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The small kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, a fridge, gas stove, and even a laundry machine, which came in very handy during our trip.
The location was absolutely perfect — just a short walking distance from the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and all the major museums and attractions. It made exploring the city incredibly easy and enjoyable. Another huge plus was the nearby Conad grocery store, which had everything we needed at very reasonable prices. It made it so convenient to cook a few meals at the apartment, which helped us feel more at home.
The apartment itself was modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The check-in process was smooth, and we appreciated the digital key access, which added both convenience and a sense of security. The space was quiet at night, which allowed us to rest well after long days of sightseeing.
If I had to mention one downside, it would be the unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom, which was noticeable at times. It didn’t ruin the stay, but it’s something that the property management should definitely look into and resolve for future guests.
Overall, I loved the property, the amenities, and especially the central location. It felt like a great balance between the

This unit needs additional tables, bookcases or some where to put various things. It is rather absent of a place to set things on as there are only 2 Small nite stands next to each end of the bed. Besides the dining room table, there are no other tables or book cases. At least one English language TV station would have been helpful. AC was excellent and most welcome. Area can be noisy at night from people on the street in front or other people in the same apt building.

We really appreciate how helpful the customer service was and how well they communicated. We did have an issue with arrival since there are two #18’s on the street. They answered our call at midnight and helped. The building elevator was broken which was a bummer but they really go out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The location was great!

Issues with Comfort, Infrastructure, and Cleanline

The location is great. But the building has no infrastructure at all, with a tiny elevator that either fits the luggage or one person.
The apartment was very dusty, and I had allergic rhinitis during the entire stay.
The shower would get cold during use, and unfortunately, our water heater stopped working. Communication was difficult, and we had to be moved to another room.
In the new room, the same issue happened — the shower would get cold halfway through, and the room was not well cleaned.
The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, and there was a bad smell coming from the drain and toilet.
The heating system didn’t work.
The apartment didn’t smell clean, and neither did the bed linens.

The flat was very comfortable and in a great location—close to everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy, and our requests for extra towels and hangers were quickly taken care of. The bathroom was a bit small but met our needs. We did notice the kitchen faucet was loose and there was duct tape on the rain shower head, but overall, we had a pleasant stay and would book again.

What a cozy apartment! My sister and I had an amazing time and really enjoyed our stay. We used the kitchen to make some delicious Italian meals. The furniture was comfy and our hosts were very responsive. The vintage elevator worked well to get us down 5 flights of stairs. The only negative was a musty smell in the bathroom, they had an ion air cleaner to refresh the air. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would come again!

It’s so noisy at night, at 2 am on Saturday we were woke up still by people’s talking and car passing nosies, and you can hear those squeaky noises from the old elevator if the customer in the other suite came back or out at late night! If you are a light sleeper, you can’t sleep here!
The pillow on these sofa bed are too low and soft, I could get one more from luggage room, but it was kind of inconvenient, I wished more pillows and bathroom tissues available in room!
The location is close to all shopping areas and tourist spotlight areas! For the purpose, the location is great!

We loved staying at this room for our stay in Florence. Since it was mine and my husbands birthdays we came in and saw that they had decorated for us which made the stay even special. in addition they had left us with some goodies to enjoy on our stay including the tote bag that you can take home as a souvenir. The location can’t be beat, right by the ponte vecchio bridge and easily walkable to most tourist attractions. But was also in a safe, secured and quiet building. There’s shopping right as soon as you walk down your doors. This is one of our best stays during our European adventure. Will definitely stay again as we love Florence and this was our second time visiting. Also communication was fast and easy. We got a hold of them even when checking in late. Stay here if you want to enjoy a hassle free stay. Love all the details that the company provided for us during our stay. Thank you!

I love Bob W and the staff, the accommodation is simply the best. With the luggage room you have nothing to worry about the check-in or check-out (early or late, they also have super friendly fees) the bed is ultra comfy, there is a lot of space to acomodate 4 people and the ammenities are fun and easy to use. The gym is small but the attention is great and you can continue the basics of your routine.

To get to the location is very easy but also is one the best areas in the city, within walking distance to beautiful views, important spots in the city and local shopping.

My wife and I loved this room. There was a great amount of space, our lives were made much easier by the washer/dryer, and we felt very comfortable staying nearly a week.
There area of town is very noisy, so expect to hear street noise during the night. We got used to it very quickly. If you're sensitive to noise bring some earplugs and you'll love this place.
The balcony also offered a welcome oasis from the bustle during the days.
Contactless check in was smooth as well. Elevator was small but very smooth. we were on the 6th floor, but usually used the stairs. Everything well maintained

Great location and fantastic customer service. The apartment condition is so so. Bathroom is a challenge, hot water, etc.Utilities are a challenge if you care for being comfortable

This property is in a great location ..very close to shopping , restaurants, museums , train station.. all walkable. The concept of no front desk was liberating. All communication with Bob W via WhatsApp was prompt and “to point” We will stay here again when we return to Firenze

Unfortunately had to move rooms after one night as the door in the first room we had would not close properly and could not lock.
Staff acted fairly quickly to get us into a different room however the quality and cleanliness of the new room was very lacking in comparison.
Was still charged full price for the substandard accommodation as we were told it was in the same category as our initial room, however I assure whoever is reading this, it was not.
The area the accommodation is in is good though.

What a great home away from home.

Bob W thinks through about little things from leaving out coffee and snack, tote bag for grocery shopping, yoga mats, to Polaroid camera for us to share our great stay with others. Great customer service and communication before and during the stay. The apartment is clean and well equipped. We also live the location. I would look for Bob W in different locations on our next vacation.
