Someone enter the hotel, and was moving furniture and open closing the doors 🚪 hard! Constantly until 2 am. Or more. MAybe we’re employees but they were like destroying the place. I was afraid they want to enter my room. Sad because I like my room but the staff never was aware of this situation. I can office and I contact expidia regarding this

Not great, not terrible. My room was dated and a bit dirty, with a funny smell. Staff does not speak great English, no locked room for luggage storage. The elevator and stairs outside are definitely dated. Still, a comfortable place to rest while exploring Florence.

Economical Stay - no frills, no comfort, low price

It was exactly what it looked like, an economical place to stay in Florence. There are many better places you could stay and in better locations with more comfort, but for the price, this hotel delivered exactly as expected. It was a nice alternative to be able to stay the night, grab a shower, and continue on my holiday.

A++ for us!

The hotel and staff were fantastic! The breakfast was well done and very tasty, not to mention affordable~ a very diverse spread for 4E each. I think my favorite part was the lovely patio/porch area off the dining room that we could sit and listen to the birds and the bells from the Duomo. The room was large and comfortable with a large window that opened to a \"courtyard\" balcony area. Also, the location to the shopping markets and the train station was perfect! 2 min to market for leather, jewelry, etc. shopping and 2 min to train. 7 min-ish to main palazzo. A wonderful stay! One day stay

Room was clean enough but not so spacious. It's acceptable because of the reasonable price. Staffs are kind. The hotel is close to the main station and central market, and also in the walking distance to Duomo and other sightseeing places. I had to check-out around 4am and go to the airport, but no problem and the staff called the taxi for me and it arrived in 3 minutes. There are several hotels in the same building, so it's difficult to find it a bit.

You should take this off your list

We checked out two night early since the shower was so small my boyfriend could barely get into the shower stall. He is a slim man so I can only imagine if someone has some weight to them.

Also, we had so many mosquitos in the room and they said, well, sorry there is nothing we can do about it.

the experience is great, its not a wow hotel or anything super deluxe its good to stay in if you need somewhere to sleep. Its comfy the staff is friendly the rooms arent very spacious its a bit of an older spot but that doesnt mean its bad . Its just pretty old yet quiet with a nice breakfast .

Old hotel in a good location

This hotel is 5 min walk from the Firenze SMN train station. It is in the 4th floor of an old apartment building shared with many other hotels. The elevator was old and just big enough to fit in 3 persons with 3 suitcases - but it serves the purpose. Our room was in the 3rd floor within the hotel with no outside elevator access - so we had to carry our suit cases one floor while checking in and out. The room was small and the attached bathroom was extremely small, whatever we tried to do in the bathroom ended up in colliding with the wall, door or the wash-basin it was real challenge to maneuver in that space. The morning front desk person was extremely helpful and he went out of his way to accommodate our requests, night person was not so friendly, but we never had to do any interaction with them except for exchanging the room keys. Yes you need to deposit the room key while going out of the hotel. Breakfast was included in the room rate - it was adequate. The location is close to everything we wanted to visit in Florence and never needed any transportation. The room was very quiet, secured with triple glass window - which was very nice. If the hotel changes the furniture and the bathroom - it has the potential to be a very good hotel. There was a free buffet of beverages and pastries on the first night - however it was removed in the subsequent nights.

We had a nice sized room, considering there were three of us. Great staff!! Really nice and welcoming and helpful, perfect place to be, very close to the train station and everything else. We walked all over and felt happy to come back to stay each night. Peaceful, quiet. Nice terrace to play cards and have wine. Perfect!

A converted apartment floor in disrepair

This hotel is located on a 4th floor of an apartment building right across from the train station (Fl SMN). Trains are just a 5 minute walk away, but city center is about 20 minute walk.

The hotel looks nothing like the photos to a sad - borderline hilarious - degree.

Breakfast was terrible. The AC is centrally controlled despite having a thermostat in each room (and was kept at 24*c). The bathroom is in extremely poor condition and the only amenities provided is a shampoo/body wash bottle and a plastic cup. As other reviews have pointed out, towels are linen and keep of vinegar.

\"lousy all the way\"

Tried to cancel this reservation due to an emergency with my son, a broken foot. Hotel would not work with me to cancel even though I went in person to the hotel a day before my reservation and emailed back and forth with the Hotel Manager the next day. I sent them an email cancelling the reservation. Hotels.com stated that I had to call them to cancel.

I called the hotels.com phone # at least 5 times and there was no answer and no voice mail to leave a message. The hotel personnel are insensitive and lousy business people and hotels.com stinks with their poor service. You can schedule online, but must make a phone call to cancel???? Would be fine if someone picked up the phone or allowed you to leave a message. I am letting Mastercard know about this horrific unprofessional experience and never use your service again.

Close to the train and good staff

Very convenient location to the train station. We got in pretty late at night and left early, so we didn't spend much time here. Actually thought we wouldn't make it in time and would lose our (non-refundable) reservation, but we ended up making it and were so relieved when we called to make sure someone would be at the desk to check us in so late (there was). Nice bathroom in the room also.

Decent location but rooms could use improvement

This hotel is close to the rail station making it easy to get to without a taxi. It is also close to the pick-up for the city tour bus. The hotel itself is located on the 4th floor making it necessary to use a very small \"lift\" to get to it. The room we had was large with 4 twins (2 were pushed together to make one). It was dark, nothing on the walls with no window screens making it impossible to get fresh air without getting mosquitos. The window shutters were broken and the view was of the tile roof and wall of the hotel. The linens were oversized dish towels. The staff, however, were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast (which is included) was OK - canned peaches, Danish, cold cuts. If all you are going to do is sleep, then this is just an OK place.

Hotel Alinari is a decent hotel conveniently located near the Santa Maria Novella train station. I was given a quiet single with a small balcony opening onto an interior courtyard, perfect for my needs as I was leaving before dawn the next day. The bed was comfortable. the room clean. The only real challenge was the shower which was an awkwardly tight fit in the bathroom. It required ingenuity to avoid water getting everywhere. I would stay here again.

Horrible hotel - BEWARE!!!

Beyond disappointed with hotel and staff is horrible & unprofessional. If you don't get to breakfast buffet early (included in your price) then you're out of luck eating the leftover crumbs. Service is terrible! Man at front desk, never gave name or wore nametag, is rude, unfriendly and glared at me when requested room that I paid for per hotels.com description. He told me a \"good room\" was unavailable next day and moved us into it, but not much of an upgrade at all. Pics on site are totally misleading, do not stay at this hotel. Talked with other travelers who were all disappointed with hotel and complained to their travel agents. Only positive is in close proximity to train station and there is a cheap supermarket across street. I would highly discourage anyone from staying at this hotel....horrible experience!!! Can't believe this hotel is on hotels.com.........needs to be removed definitely by your website.

The hotel is very close to the main train station. The hop on hop off bus is 5 minutes walk away. There is a self service Laundromat in the same street and plenty of restaurants. It is an 15 minute walk to the car free zone and main tourist attractions. The rooms are very basic. When I arrived I was shown to a single room as I was travelling on my own, it was a very small room overlooking the smokers courtyard. Fortunately I checked my booking which was for a double room and was moved to a very large room overlooking the front street. Free wifi in the room.

Traveling as a family of four. Hotel was very close to central train station and major sites. Room was really bad. Air conditioning did not work. Fortunately, room had windows that opened. Room was clean but in very poor condition. One front desk person ( during main part of day) spoke very good English and was very helpful. The other guy (evening and night) spoke no English. Decent breakfast. Towels were like bed or table linens. I would not stay there again.

I just did a 3 week stint in Europe, and booked hotels based on the same budget and requested amenities. This hotel gave you bed sheets for towels. Seriously, bed sheets. It was terrible. Also booked it because it was close to train station and to main attractions, so it was a good location. But probably a bit TOO close to train station, was not the best neighborhood.

Very Close To Train Station

This hotel is only a block away from the Firenze SMN train station. It was a bit tricky to find, but just follow the map and read the signs and you'll figure it out. The hotel is located in the 4th floor. You will need to get inside an elevator and off you go. My room is not bad. I have my own bathroom and a nice view. There is a wifi and can be access from the room. I think it's free. There is a 6.00 euro city tax at check-out. The breakfast is disappointing. No hot food. No boiled eggs. Just salami, cheese, hard bread, yogurt, coffee, and orange juice. The bed is small and not sturdy. This hotel is good for anyone travelling alone and/or never been to the area. I will probably not going to stay here again unless I'm in a budget.

The cancellation was not done, and the tour deposit was added to our bill upon departure labeled \"city tax.\" We considered this dishonest and a disappointing note on which to end an otherwise pleasant stay.

Excellent location within walking distance to stunning points of interests. Front desk staff was extremely helpful on many occasions. The breakfast was subpar with the stale pastries, canned peaches and low quality 'fresh' fruit. It really, really, really needs a major overhaul. However, the coffee was superb and the hard boiled eggs were nice, not overcooked. Some tables get forks, but not all. Make sure to find a table with a complete place setting. Some black pepper would be nice. Only one salt shaker for the entire breakfast room. Why?

At the last minute, we booked this charming unique boutique hotel.
My son and I were traveling through Italy and our driver was picking us up early, so we just needed a place to rest between adventures. But when I saw how close to the train and bus stations this was, I continued to stay in a single room, even after I dropped my son off at Medici de Lorenzo for his study abroad program. It is only a short walk to mercado centrale, which you should not miss. The rooms are small - but adequate.

I will absolutely return!!!

Great location

My wife and I stayed at the hotel Alinari for 4 nights. It was a pleasant stay, and a nice change of pace from the smaller rooms we grew accustomed to in Venice and Rome. To our surprise it even had a balcony. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. the wifi was fast and the breakfast selection was alright, though my wife and I tended to wake up later than other guests and by the time we arrived for breakfast it had already gotten to the point where the staff were tidying up and didn't bring out more food.

Central and convenient for all the tourist attract

The hotel was suffering from the end of season appearance and hopefully will get spruced up over the winter.
We found it reasonably comfortable and very central with a easy 10 minute walk to the Duomo, two minutes to the station, yet relatively quiet. We were lucky in that we had the benefit of additional space as part of a family room which was at the back of the hotel.. Breakfast was standard continental fare and was included in the price.

Excellent location only minutes from train terminal. Good large room a little dated but very clean. Funny little cage elevator to 4th floor but we thought it was fun. Super close to the main train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella or Firenze SMN) - maybe a 5-minute walk (or even less!). And because of that, close to major spots in Florence - Duomo, Academmia, Mercato Centrale, etc. The room is ok - no frills (but clean) bec. of the price - but good value because breakfast is included and there is free wifi. What hotel were these other reviews from???

I can't tell you whether the breakfast was good. I did not stay long enough to eat it. I cancelled my reservation in person but the hotel refused to credit back the charge.
The hotel is by the train station but in an alley through a gate and on the 4th floor of a very old building with an inactive lift. I arrived to find that they could not accomodate the rental car and expected me to park and walk six blocks at 3am with 2 kids.

Wonderful little hotel within sight of the central train station and situated very well as a starting point for exploring Florence. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. This is a 3 star hotel...

Hotel was a bit tricky to locate as I had a car and traffic is terrible in Florence. The rest of the stay was wonderful, hotel is a 3 star hotel and you shouldn't expect too many amenities. WiFi only works in the lobby and not in the rooms. Showers are a bit small, but then again it is European standard and the rest of the stay was fine. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and view from the room was actually kinda nice.

Great place to stay!

It was a great location, could easily walk to everything that I wanted to see. Right across the street from the train station too! Friendly staff, it was clean. I would definitely stay there again! They also had a really nice breakfast each morning as well.

It is located right across the street from the train station, near the McDonalds. The location was great, we were able to walk to all of the sights, and though it is located on a busy street we weren't able to hear it. WiFi worked for the most part, it seemed to be down the last 24 hours we were there. The room was just fine, but the A/C was weak, and the breakfast wasn't worth the early rise to catch. Close to resteraunts, pubs, and really anything else you may need. I'd absolutely stay there again.

Close to the station but very nice

Friendly staff, quiet room with cute view, perfect breakfast, good location...

Pleasant and friendly hotel, perfect for a budget stopover so dont have high expectations. However, ideal location for exploring Florence. Friendly staff willing to help with advice on where to visit.

The location is perfect, 5 mints walking from train station and about 10 mints to Duomo and city center.
Hotel bathroom was strange, flush tank was not working normally!!...room furniture was little bit old fashion, TV etc...

Its now soo bad , but for myself I will not go to this hotel in the next time.

perfect for those who need to travel from the train station, it is literally around the corner. it is very quite, very clean and even thr single was ok space wise. one of the best cheap hotel in the area

Close to all major sites, I highly recommend this Hotel.

I didn't have much expectations when I went to this hotel. But it definitely surprised me to see how convenient, clean and accomodating this hotel was. It is only 3 minutes walk to the train station which worked out perfect for us since we went to couple of day trips to Tuscany and Venice. We came from Rome by train and went back to catch our flight. It is 10 minutes walk to Duomo and less than 20 minutes walk to Piazza Signoria and Ufitzi museum. The management was very nice and accomodating.There is also free internet if you have your own laptop. I will stay here if I go back to Florence again. Don't forget to check the breakfast balcony in the hotel, Duemo is right in your face. We went to have breakfast on the balcony the last day of our trip and we couldn't believe our eys. The hotle should put the picture on this website.

駅近で朝食さえ有れば良い人にオススメ

駅近は便利、ブロック北側の入り口が分かりにくい、エレベーターがレトロ、部屋は古く狭いて電源コンセントがゆるく繋がらないなどインフラが良くない。朝食は簡素なビュッフェ。

Świetna lokalizacja hotelu. Pokoje bardzo przyjemne i czyste. Śniadanie bardzo dobre- kompletnie nie rozumiem osób źle oceniających śniadania w tym hotelu- chyba nigdy nie jedli śniadań we włoskich hotelach. Generalnie wszystko na plus! Polecam!

ツインの部屋でした。お風呂ごシャワーのみで狭く、アメニティも石鹸くらいしかありません。我慢我慢で入っていました。
朝ごはんは普通に美味しかったです。
階段下の部屋だったので、夜遅くまでうるさかったです。
場所は駅からわかりやすく、抜群に良いのですが、最初到着した時ロビーがわかりませんでした。見つけにくいかもしれません。
