What a lovely place to stay. We had two rooms, both very large and spotlessly clean. The extra amenities had been thought about (water, fluffy towels, wash and hair conditioner, vanity kit, in room safe and hairdryer) and the ‘extras’ were clear (snacks and more water in the mini fridge).
Our host Anna was wonderful, providing us with a varied and delicious continental breakfast daily and making suggestions for our day. It was wonderful that she was genuinely interested in us having a great stay both at the B&B and in Florence.

The hotel’s location is ideal—just steps from Firenze SM train station and within easy walking distance of Florence’s major attractions. There was a WiFi outage on the street where the hotel was located which made it impossible to pay for the stay at that property. Instead the desk clerk had to escort me to their partner property in order to make the payment. It was not far away but rather inconvenient. Additionally, the elevator was interesting…it would not stop at our floor going up rather we had to go up an extra floor and then come back down to our floor. The room itself was great and the location is convenient to Santa Maria Novella rail station…however Uber would not pick us up from the hotel to return to the train station. We had to walk instead.

We were pleasantly surprised at check in with Avery clean, spacious and modern room, bottle of red wine included in our booking. Breakfast was very tasty with fresh eggs, fresh fruits pastries, and an assortment of nuts, grains, cheeses and meats. It was a short walk from the train station and was 15 min walk away from David, many popular plazas, top rated restaurants that the staff recommended. Anna was very engaging during our breakfast and checkout.

I had a very nice five-night stay at the Eco Urban B&B. Anna and the staff were helpful and friendly, the continental breakfast every morning was tasty and fresh. My spacious room was freshened up beautifully every day. The location proved excellent, walkable to all the main museums and churches, the main station, and the Mercato Centrale (economical meal options for lunch/dinner). There may be some road noise for some (near the main station), but I wasn't bothered and slept well. I recommend it especially for the location and nice people!

We stayed at this hotel only for one night. It was close to the train station, but a little hard to find and then even harder to get in. I appreciated the security though. It was within walking distance to lots of food. We did have the room right next to the front desk so it was a little loud. Breakfast was good and I wish we could have experienced the patio as it looked nice. Overall good experience and would stay again.

On our first night, we were both woken up by the road noise right outside (we were on the street side of the building) and we asked if it was possible to move. They said they were fully booked and couldn’t move us, but went out of their way to try to help us find solutions, including giving us some ear plugs. And we actually got used to the road noise very quickly and it really wasn’t that busy, so by the end of our 4 day stay we were sleeping like babies. We were really impressed with their kindness and thoughtfulness. All staff members that we interacted with were so nice and friendly. Also, we got a free bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch. My only real negative would be that the exterior shutters were permanently closed so it was kind of dark in the room, but looking at other buildings, it seems like all the hotels in Florence do this, at least in the rooms that face the street.

We had the BEST STAY at Eco Urban Florence. Everything was new, immaculately clean, and most convenient to the train station, but still an easy walk to everything in Florence. The staff is WONDERFUL and so wanting to help & please. Anna & Kathlyn helped us find a lavanderia for clothes pressing, restaurant suggestions, luggage storage, and general directions. They were so kind, friendly and professional. I would recommend any fellow travelers to stay there. Luckily we had ear plugs, so the lack of soundproofing to the outside (and the other rooms in the hotel) was not too much of an issue, however, if we were without plugs then noise would have been horrendously bad.
Unfortunately, the biggest issue was outside the hotel. The street the hotel is on is obviously one frequented by drug users. We stayed for 4 nights, and 3 of these nights included passing people only a matter of meters from the hotel door smoking something stronger than marijuana. On one night, 2 people were preparing heroin literally on the doorstep of the hotel and we had to step over them to get in (i.e. syringes ready on the doorstep).
Avoid for this reason. Expedia should really consider removing this hotel from the website. Not the hotel’s fault, but the street is clearly not suitable for travellers, especially those with families and the hotel should speak with local authorities to see what they can do to mitigate this. A minimum would be for the building to have security on the door.

Breakfast had a granola bar with all sorts of seeds/grains/fruit - nice to have a healthy option when eating pizza and pasta daily! Very close to train and all the sites. I highly recommend.
