We had a nice stay. The playmakers are great fun and go out of their way to engage you. Most of the guests are extremely open, friendly and easy to talk to,
The food was ok, nothing special. The downsides were that about half of the younger crowd (we are older) did not go nude. Desire should have a stricter policy (like Hedo) where you are required to be nude, it would be much more comfortable for everyone. If you don’t want to be nude, then go to Temptations. In addition, it is almost impossible to get a cabana or dinner reservation unless you are a premiere member. The pool guy and restaurant reservation lady are quite rude if you ask for a cabana…you are told that WELL if you were a member you could have one. We don’t want to be members, we just wanted to enjoy our stay as advertised.
The beach is nonexistent, but that isn’t why people come here.

Clean room, Christian at the reception and Josette has been such great help after I left my items behind at the resort she has packed my things and will be mailed to us. Christian was very attentive and found my husbands. We loved the honest service.
Food and drinks are great. The buffet dinner is better than we thought and like the Mexican restaurant for its elegance. We had a hick up with one employee but everyone else made up for it. Pools are nice note the beach, but everything else makes up for it. Great time, plus shows.

It was our 2nd time at RM, we went to Pearl first.
We stayed at Eden at RM this time, and we were given the pool view for upgrade. Very nice room and room service included at Eden. Friendly staff at RM but Pearl staff are more friendlier and treat you like a family at Pearl. My favorite staff at RM are Carlos and Jonathan at the bar and the main guy at the coffee bar and also the guy at the jacuzzi bar. The gym is good size but the stairmaster is not there anymore. Suki restaurant is our favorite place but its smaller place, we had to be there before 7pm.
Good night entertainment and disco music.
Overall, we love to comeback again.

Amazing food, excellent staff and customer service. No need to go on the hunt for water. There were always bottles in a fridge in our room. A little tough getting dinner reservations so that could use some improvement but buffet was top notch so it wasn’t ever the end of the world! We compared the value with members and felt we got a pretty good price for such a unique resort with a great vibe. We absolutely loved the shows disco and all amentiities including the amazing hot tub for evenings. What a way to see the ocean and the sunset!

The whole resort is amazing as soon as you enter the front lobby. The vibe and outmosphere is fantastic.They have theme nights, and the disco is lit with their music every night.

The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. The staff are amazing, that's why we keep coming back. The housekeepers, battenders, servers, and gardeners always have a smile on their faces. We always get relaxing massages at the spa.

We have great experiences every time we come. We are booked for November. We can't compare the resort anywhere else. The guests and staff are friendly.

Cons first = definitely not enought partying. Most days besides 2 are a snoozefest at the pool. Why have a quiet pool if the party pool is also boring? The party team tries but no way is it anywhere near their other resort with the different name!! If they just bring it up a few more days poolside then i would return but as of now we wont be returning. And yes we went there fully knowing what it is and yes there was some things going on, mostly at night, but still a snoozefest! And if you enjoy working out as we did 4 days - the gym is pretty sad. I grew tired of having to manipulate machines just to get a workout in. So so glad i didnt give them the time or day to try to sell me membership!

Pros = Amazing staff, clean for the most part but most people are dirty themselves walking around barefoot and walking into restrooms that way then coming back into the pool! They need to have someone posted at the restrooms and enforce wearing flip flops!
Food is ok, mostly fine. Dont try to eat sushi in mexico lol.

For the most part it was just a regular vacation, nothing special here. Go to a regular adults only, its the same and save your money. We wanted to leave after the 3rd day.

We have been going to Desire RM for years (about 30 trips) and the resort completely lost it’s vibe that gave them all those 5star reviews in the past. Most of us used to close our eyes to most stuff that definitely does not meet 5star hotel level as we were not there for the “room or food”.The sensual atmosphere, all vibe between the guests and entertainment was what attracted loyal guests to keep booking trip after trip. Everything changed with opening of Eden. Whoever designed it has no idea what resort is about and most likely never bothered to come to the resort as a guest. They turned the hidden paradise into yet another commercial building, looking to get the most money they can but completely destroyed what resort used to be: small boutique hotel that had it’s own community, where everyone knew each other by name and staff was like family. And changes are obvious: entertainment was horrible ( DJ can’t “read the room”, actually looked like he and violinist have not rehearsed the performance, sounded like dying cat noise with the beat),playmakers should get together with Mia, Anna or DD and get lessons what means to be a paymaker. The main pool had dirt floating by the stairs for at least 2 days and then they decided to clean the white pool chairs WHILE guests were in the pool!!! You would have never seen that before!! STAFF IS AMAZING as always, they do their best to make guest feel like the resort is as it used to be. IF ONLY MANAGEMENT WOULD CARE TO LISTEN!!

The attention to detail at the desire properties is immaculate. The staff is sweet, friendly, and professional. They really go out of their way to help you in every way they can. The spa services are wonderful and the food was excellent. At this particular location, the rooms were a bit small, but they were still very nicely appointed. The desire pearl has rooms that are a bit larger. That said, we didn’t spend all that much time in the room so we were just fine.

Great hotel that lives up to its reputation in this niche market. The facilities are great and the fact that there is now a lively pool and a quiet pool is a brilliant addition.

The rooms are well looked after. Some people say they are tired, but this is a little harsh. They have everything you need and the main thing is the bed is comfortable!

The thing that makes this place really great though are the staff. They are friendly, helpful, welcoming, and can’t do enough to make this unique experience as special as possible. Elizabeth at the coffee bar was just one example of the great service delivered.

This resort is magnificent. Every detail is perfect. The staff are incredible. The spa is fabulous. The new coffee bar is wonderful and Roger is a true professional. Eduardo manages the quiet pool bar and is an outstanding bar tender as well as the rest of the staff. They go out of their way to make your vacation top notch. The playmakers are so beautiful, warm, friendly and outstanding entertainers. We can’t wait to get back to this amazing resort.

The staff are excellent and accommodating. The new Eden side is very nice. My only issue, is the pool at the Eden side should NOT be clothing optional, except women’s bottoms. And guys, sorry. you choose this resort for a reason, take em off or you look like a creeper. And Desire management , perhaps make the old pool (now the quiet pool) the clothing optional pool for those guest that would like to stay fully clothed.
