La habitación es limpia pero huele a cigarro.
Las gradas de la entrada al lugar están sucias y huele feo. La entrada queda en el piso 1 y no hay ascensor.

Area around the hotel/B&B does not feel safe. Homeless people. The building entrance is not welcoming. The door to the room is not very sturdy/heavy so do not feel secure inside suite. It is also not very sound-proof. Washroom is dated and requires renovation.

Property was close to the train station and most of Florence was a 10-20 minute walk, which was great. Our shower could have used some extra cleaning, but we appreciated that our children were able to have separate beds and the room was very large.

Liked the closeness to train station. The area is also quiet and safe. However, the lift is too small and tight and a hassle to use. There is a step down to the bathroom and need to be careful at night. Suggest to add a reflection tape or light on the floor. Otherwise, all good and pleasing!

We love our stay at B&B Marbo Florence hotel!

We loved our stay in this hotel! The owners were really nice and welcoming. Walking distance from the Firenze Train Station and several of the main attractions like the Piazza del Duomo. Quiet neighborhood. The room was very spacious, clean, and had comfy beds.

The rooms were extremely clean! Very spacious and comfortable.
The neighborhood was a little sketchy and I didn’t feel safe going out with my two teenage girls once it started to get dark. When we left for a Tuscany tour early in the morning (7am) there was a homeless man sleeping on the stoop in the entryway and we had to jump over him to get out of the building.
The entrance to the hotel is on the second floor of a building and is not clearly marked (or wasn’t when we first got there). And when we knocked on the door no one answered so I had to make an international call to get directions on how to get in. The person who answered didn’t speak English and kept talking to someone else and putting the phone down instead of trying to help me get in the hotel.
That evening, a fuse blew and power went out to our room. When I called the number for service (because no one is there from 7pm to 8am), the manager was extremely rude and told me that I must’ve done something wrong to cause the problem (we hadn’t done anything except turn on the bathroom light). He came back ti the hotel to flip the breaker (took almost an hour), and continued to tell me that it was my fault and was just plain nasty about it.

The rooms were just ok. This is a building that has a bunch of apartments in it. The hallway leading into the building looks pretty dirty and smells like mold. The staff is just mediocre and the breakfast lady was flat out rude. I didn’t really expect much but honestly a pretty subpar experience overall.The only positive side of this place is its location to the train station in case one needs quick access to the trains, which we did.

It was easy to locate, close to train station and Duomo. Staff responded to email about check in. Staff provided water kettle when asked, but i wish it was already in the room. Establishment inside a commercial building, not where you would expect a B&B but everything was great. Some mold in the grouting in the shower, but mold can grow overnight in this humid weather.

Good place to stay just beside Train Station

Located just beside the Train station. It is easy walk with a Carrefour Express round the corner (bus station).

No lift in this building, so will have to carry your own luggage up (1 level or 2 level depending on your room).

Staff is warm and friendly. Room is clean daily and most amenities are provided for. As for most apartment in Italy, could possibly hear some noise along corridor or neighbour. I won't mind to come back and stay again given the price and location. Good Value for money.

If u looking for a place near everything it is great but dont expect much in terms of room .
We could hear toilet flashing from next room and noise ..disturbe me so I couldnot slept well at night .maybe our room was like this.
Staff are so friendly and helpfull.
Breakfast was not much variety but ok.
In terms of size and cleaning it was great.

Good location. Quiet room. Nice bathroom with rain shower. Sarah, the receptionist, is super kind and has tons of good recommendations. On the check out day, they kept our luggage (at their other hotel (Luxor) located nearby until 8:00pm.
No elevator to the first floor. Pillows need to be replaced (room 102 at least). Fridge didn’t work during our entire stay (2 nights). We don’t understand why it didn’t get replaced if they couldn’t fix it. Breakfast served in between 8:00am and 10:00pm. First morning, we had a late breakfast (9:35am). The second morning, we went at 9:00am. Both mornings, the croissants/pastries tray was empty while other plates (cold cuts and cheese were half empty. They don’t seem to replenish. The fruit salad didn’t look appetizing. Coffee is OK.

Wonderful service at this B & B! Hotel was situated just a short walk from train station which was convenient as we did day trips to Pisa and Venice on the train. it was easy enough to walk to the center of Florence and see all the sights. The breakfast was basic but good coffee! The Staff who were running the place were wonderful and friendly and helpful! great service!
The room was small and the bathroom was quite close to the beds and with its stained glass door it did take a little while to get use to, even though you only could see shadows from the other side it could have done with more privacy especially as it was such a small room!...but other than that it was a very good place to stay if you are on a budget!

Good location only if you have car and u need parking ,otherwise there are more better location and closer to the center.

it is an hotel 2 floors in a very old building , old elevator but renovated rooms.

they charge extra 10 euro for every late hour after check in after 8 pm ( i was charged 20 euros as i arrived after 10 )

Juana is very helpful and helped me park the car in the street which chargeable from 8 am to 8 pm (first hour 2 and 3 euro for rest hours )
she also gave another option to park in another close by for 25 euro for 24 hrs

Just a short walk from Stazione Santa Maria Novella. Within stones' throw away from Trattorria Dell Orste strongly recommended by many travelers especially Asians, for its Fiorentine steak. Supermarket opposite this restaurant provided essential daily supplies. Costantino was superbly hospitable while Anna made great cappuccino daily and overseeing the cleanliness of our room. We stayed in room 101. While the breakfast area is just outside the room, we were never disturbed at all due to the good noise insulation. My family enjoyed our stay in this B&B throughly while sightseeing in Florence.

The hotel was great and the hotel hosts were amazing as well. We loved everything about the hotel including the free breakfast and hand-crafted cappuccino every morning. The only thing we didn't love as much is that it is slightly behind the train station versus towards the Duomo or main attractions - which meant we had to walk a little longer. Also, the hotel is conveniently next to a bus stop, which also means there are always people gathered around the hotel entrance. Overall, we had a great hotel stay while in Florence.

Dirty hotel near train station.

The picture of the room was deceiving. The lobby was awful, the steps up to the hotel were filthy, there a homeless man sleeping on the steps one morning!

The room itself was spacious, but the floor did felt a little dusty, the shower door was jamming. The bus stop was a cross the hotel, making it a bit noisy.

Breakfast was okay. The owner was marginally helpful. He was available only from 8 am to 2:30 p.m. most days. The hotel number apparently connects to his cell phone, but when I tried it in the evening one day, he did not pick up.

Superb stay at B&B Marbo Florence

Everything was simply great at B&B Marbo! The host is super friendly and hotel is easy to find. The hotel location is very near (abt 5mins walk) to the Firenze train station, and it is also near (abt 6mins walk) to bus station where you can catch the bus to The Mall and bus to the Airport. Room is very clean and comfortable; interior of hotel is very new too. My friend and I really have a very wonderful stay at B&B Marbo! We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wish to book a stay at Florence!

This small B&B is run by 2 very friendly and helpful brothers. We rented a room for 3 adults and it was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The B&B is located near the SMN train station, so it's close to everything. Be aware that streets in Florence are numbered in \"red\" and \"black\", so once you think you have reached your destination, you haven't. You need to keep going to the next block, where number start up again. Constatino (one of the brothers) was the one we interacted with and his recommendation for dinner was Outstanding (good price, amazing steaks). I would make a beeline for this place the next time I'm in Florence.

What a pleasant surprise.

Arrived in Florence from Venice and was not real sure what to expect. Finding the entrance to the Marbo was tricky. If you do not know that in the city of Florence, businesses have light numbers on their facade and residences have dark numbers, you can get lost trying to find your destination. After going to the wrong #25, we were able to find the right one (dark number) pretty quickly, right down the road. When you walk through the front door and see how narrow the hallways are, you immediately start to think that this place is going to be way too small. BUT, to our surprise, the room (a triple) was quite spacious! The room was clean and bright and unlike most B&B's, had its own heating and air conditioning unit. The front door staff were helpful and super nice. Each day they cleaned the room and supplied fresh clean towels and toiletries. The breakfast was ample and helped get the day started. This place was a 10!!

Best stay of my Italy trip!

Room was very spacious (i booked a triple room) and modern-looking. The staff, Costantino and his brother, are very helpful, give great travel tips, advice and map. They are very friendly people to talk to and give an uplifting mood to our stay, nothing is too troublesome for them! The B&B is very near to Santa Maria Novelle train station, such that we can drop our buys from our day trip before continuing with another day trip on the same day! The free mini-bar and 24h access to drinking water, cakes and cookies are great for late-night cravings. Safe neighbourhood.

Great B&B, Highly Recommended

This was a fantastic B&B! We stayed in a family room and the room was very spacious and clean. We also received complimentary waters, juices and pepsi's from the mini bar. The staff were amazing - very helpful and informative! Breakfast was very yum and included a good selection (continental) with a staff member to assist with coffees and teas. There is also a tea/biscuit kitchen set up outside of breakfast hours which are perfect for early mornings or afternoons in between sightseeing and dinner. Some great restaurants less than a 5 minute walk by the hotel. The only thing that is tricky is finding the hotel - the streets are a little confusing and there is only a small bronze plated sign to reference the hotel - it may be good to make it easier to find the hotel. Otherwise, AMAZING!

We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights and would definately recommend it to others. We had a hugh family room not what u expect for a really old building. It had really high ceilings and the beds were really comfy. The rooms were stocked with complimentary drinks which was replenished daily. Not just water .... soft drinks and juice.

ThE building is conveniently located near the trainstation so access was good. It was also walking distace from the main sites. I honestly wish we had more time. My only draw back woukd be that the lift needs to be improved but it was fine as we also got help with the suitcases.

Now I save the best for last. Elizabeth and her sons were all really really nice and always helpful. This is what made the difference.... excellent customer service. If I have the opportunity again I would definately stay there .... wonderful experience.

Our group had two rooms for or one night in Florence. The location close to the train station was very helpful. Constantino and Elizabeth are very helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating in storing our bags so that we could explore Florence. The rooms were perfect for our group. We would definitely stay again.

The \"pros\" of this hotel are proximity to the train station, cleanliness, and the extremely kind and helpful staff. There are however some \"cons\" to this hotel. Our main concern was that we did not feel safe in the neighborhood and always had to ask people to move away from our doorway to use our keys to get into the building. The entrance hallway and stairwell are not lit when you enter and you have to walk through the dark to activate the light switch for the building (or else every floor is pitch black without any window light; the lights also once turned off while we were going down the stairs). The old, one person elevator to get to the hotel on the second floor was not ideal. Also, the short reception hours meant that there would have been no one to help us if an issue happened on the way up. It was also awkward that one can almost see though the glass bathroom doors and there is even a gap on the side of the door so you can actually see the person if you walk over to the corner of the room to try to give the other person some privacy. Finally, we found the mattress a little too stiff to our liking and the air conditioning was a little noisy and blew directly on us all night, which probably contributed to us waking up with a sore throat. There is also not enough space to dry towels (which resulted with staff putting the towels over the shower rails for them to dry) and there is no glass for toothbrushes. Breakfast was also a little stale.

The hotel is only 5 minutes away from the train station. The sign is VERY small, I walked past it a few times because of that. Only a small gold plaque by the door, on the left side of the street. The room and service were nice, pleasant and helpful staff. There was a small fridge in the room and a grocery store very close so it was convenient.

Wonderful stay! found right away walking distance from train station when we arrived. Very friendly, warm welcome upon arrival. Very clean comfortable room, beds firm and wonderful service all around. Of the three hotels we stayed in on this visit to Italy this was the best! Would highly recomend

i miss beta very much

it's just a 5min walk from florence SMN station(right hand side of the station) ,10min-20min walk to all tourist spot.
room was big n spacious, smooth n fast wi-fi.
a 24hr coffee corner with cookie, cake, tea n coffee
beta( staff at the reception) gave us a very warm welcome n goodbye. she marked down all the bus station we asked for n recommend us some local n yummy restaurant. dun forget to try the florentina steak , it's super chewy n yummy. those restaurant nearby this b&b are all very nice n delicious

Wow for a B&B!

When I first stepped into the room, my first reaction, is \"wow\". Room is newly furnished, looks like I'm in a 4 star hotel room. It's way above my expectation. The breakfast is great too, nice cappuccino. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, in particularly this lady called Betta.
Location wise, it's just a stone throw away from Firenze SMN station. Will definitely stay in this hotel again should I come Florence again!

Nice family run B&B

It is a very nice family run B&B within 5 minutes walk to the central train station located on a major street which is easy to find. The room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is nice with adequate selections. There are cookies, water, and hot tea available 24 hours outside breakfast room. WiFi is free to guest, however, the signal is very weak for rooms located far from check-in area. The only thing I wish they can improve is to start the breakfast time as early as 7am instead of 8am. There were two mornings we need to catch train or tour bus around 8am and would not have breakfast at the hotel. Otherwise, everything is great.

No fire exits (had candles located in the room) in a rabbit warren of a building we were on the first floor but had to go to second floor and through the building to get to the first floor.... wifi non existent which made it hard to plan our movements... the manager was helpful but I wouldnt recommend it... close to the train station which was handy for us

Delightful family run, comfortable hotel.

What the hotel lacks in modernity, is made up for in the homely comforts offered. A refreshments room offering tea and biscuits 24/7 is a nice touch. As is the beverages left for you in the fridge on your arrival.The delightful family who run the hotel are so warm and welcoming that you can forgive the neighbourhood. Extremely professional approach , providing each guest with those extra comforts which elevate the ratings of this little hotel justifiably. Clean and comfortable rooms and a very decent breakfast also. Not in the most pleasant area but certainly convenient for train or coach arrival.

Great location with excellent service!

The location is just across the street from the train station - this was particularly helpful as we had lots of luggages with us. We had a very warm welcome from Betta who instantly made us feel at home in Florence, showing us the way to explore Florence within the time that we were there. We were delighted when we were shown to our room, which looked exactly like it was in the photos - spacious and comfortable, set in a modern design. We will definitely like to revisit Florence again as it is such a beautiful place and Marbo B&B is certainly the choice of our stay. Highly recommended!

It was the best B&B accommodation I had for my recent trip to Italy. What my family really liked was the exceptional friendliness and warm hospitality from the hotel owner, Batta. She went beyond the normal B & B services and offered much valuable advice on sightseeing during our 3 days in Firenze. Her suggestions allowed us to optimise our precious time & money on attractions worth spending. We were pleasantly surprised when she offered us complimentary drinks and beverages in the room minibar/fridge. The hotel also provided cookies and beverages at its pantry, which makes it convenient for anyone with a craving for a night snack. It was indeed very kind and thoughtful of the hotel owners.The breakfast, despite its simplicity, was delicious. The pastries, cheese and ham were freshly served by Batta, who also prepared hot beverages such as hot chocolate, cappuccino and more. Besides their excellent service, the convenient location of the hotel deserves special mention. From the train station (S. M.Novella), we reached the hotel by foot (Approx. distance: 200m) Exit from the right side of the station, turn right again and via Alamanni . The building is just in front of the bus stop. The hotel, which is on the 2nd level, can be acessed by a distinctive and antique elevator. Hence, no worries with your luggages! Without a doubt, I'll stay in this hotel again on my next visit to Firenze and look forward to meeting Batta once more.

Great for the price

We checked other reviews on different sites before booking this hotel and they were pretty positive. The hotel was different than we expected. It's an odd little set up as the hotel takes up just part of an old building on a couple of floors. Feels a bit cramped but the rooms themselves are decent (probably bigger) size compared to other European hotels. The beds were really firm but still comfortable. The shower was nice except when there was no hot water during the morning rush. The breakfast was pretty good (standard European fare of deli meat, cheese, bread, & pastries). Really the staff was the best part of the hotel. Betta, who owns the place, goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and see to any of your touring needs. The other staff was also very kind and helpful. The location is a bit further walk than we expected but still a good location and we walked to everything we wanted to see.
