The place is near the train station and has alot of restaurant to eat from. The only thing that i can complain in my room is that the air conditioning is not working well as thats why at night it feels a little too hot. But the rest are ok even though its a little bit cramped.

It was a nice experience staying at this Residence; it is at walking distance to many places like the train station, churches, restaurants (a lot) and monuments. The room was nice and clean, cute saloon for breakfast with many options and very friendly staff.
We would definitely recommend Residenza La Fonticine if you're coming to Florence.

Stayed 3 nights in this residence. Limited front desk timing (09:00 to 18:00). Sometimes till 17:00 with the remaining time covered by an italophone housemaid. The breakfast is terrible and includes very very basic food (No eggs, No milk, 1 type of cheese and ham, 2 choices of Powdered mix juice, Bread and croissant seem old and not fresh, No salt and Pepper....etc). What annoyed me is that the check out is set at 10:30 Am. I never checked out at a hotel or residence that early. I was in a Superior room allegedly claimed to have an area of 237 sq ft. In fact, I doubt it much as the room was too small. In my opinion, it should not exceed 183 sq ft. The residence has no outdoor large sign to refer guests to the place. The place is 15 minutes walk to the train station and sightseeing bus stop which I highly recommend to book a ride for 1 day to explore Florence landmarks. 10 min walk to Basilica Santa Maria and many restaurants nearby. My experience in this place is bad and disappointing. I do not recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station, the duomo, the market and many places to eat and drink.
Check in and check out was smooth, even though we arrived after reception hours.
No frills, but it was a comfortable stay for two nights for us.

What I liked most is the location however it’s a residential home and therefore it’s hard to find. What I didn’t like most was calling the office no one answer! But when it’s answered, she by accident connected three lines and I was able to hear her gossip conversation with someone and didn’t even answer my call.

Highly recommend this place! Great area of the city, east transit and lots to do nearby.

They did come in the room during afternoon and turned off the AC so remind them not to do that. I’d stay here again for sure though!

The room is not too bad itself but the noise is unbearable, at least for me... This hotel is located in a building that has 3 floors & each floor is a different hotel. We were on the 1st floor so it was VERY close to activities down at the street. The hotel is also very close to the market which is very convenient (btw, you have to visit the market & try the food over there) but at the same time, it was very noisy even at late night since the market closed at midnight. We couldn't really open the window even it was so nice out & if you're a light sleeper like me, it'll be very hard. We stayed there for 2 nights & sadly I didn't sleep much. :(
The breakfast is a little skimpy, very few choices. It seems like they \"limit\" 2 eggs per guest since they only put out 4 eggs for us & never refill the bowl. I don't think they serve anything hot but they do have a self serve cappuccino machine for you to use during breakfast time. Overall is ok but I don't think I'll go back since the noise is a big problem for me...

Loved service and room. Would definitely go again.

Matilda was great. She helped with finding places to see in Florence and even called them to see how long the lines were. She was great and so was the room. It was perfect for my daughter, grandson and I because even though it was one room it had an area semi-separated and he could have a little privacy. The shower was fantastic and had lots of hot water.

Booked for 3 nights stay. Other than the poor smell , room was clean and we'll updated.
Hotel is in a very busy and loud area. Windows keeps shaking every time a car or scooter drive by. Was not able to sleep after 6am due to loud noise off the street , would suggest investing in double glazed windows.

The lovely woman who runs the kitchen offered to open 1/2 hour to accommodate our schedule. Such kindness!
Would be great if the front desk kept a regular schedule. They close at 6pm , which is a bit early and also were often in and out during the day

Spacious bnb at foot steps of train station

it is located on the first floor of an old building and the rooms are fully renovated. We booked a triple room in the corner and it was very big and cool in summer. Lift and air conditioning was available. Wifi in room was weak and unstable at first but after reset router in the room, it worked properly. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Great place to stay if you are travelling by train.

Please read this before choosing this hotel. I am sharing my experience, hopefully it would help you not go through the same experience. I booked this hotel for 4 nights, and I paid in advance. I was traveling through Italy with my family and Florence was a stop. This hotel has a limited time window for checking (till 8pm). Unfortunately my train from Venice was delayed and I missed the 8pm deadline. They immediately messaged me that I am considered a no show, I called and emailed, letting me them know that I am on the train and will be there in a few minutes.
I get there a few minutes later and to my disbelief they refused to open the door. I stayed the night in a hotel nearby and went in the next morning. They told me that they gave away my room last night and since I prepaid, there will be no refund. The 400$ they ripped me off is not a big number compared to the whole trip cost. Just be ware, its always risky to deal with dishonest people.

A very nice place that is very close to the station as well as the Mercato (excellent food) and also very close to all the sight seeing places and shopping areas. A little noisy in the night as our room window faced a pizzeria. The room was well appointed and wonderful. Air conditioning worked well and the breakfast was great. Daily maid service was an added bonus. Overall a nice place that I can recommend without hesitation.

A nice place to stay

We had the triple room at the corner of the building with little balconies. Very clean with comfortable beds. A little noisy at night, but that didn't really bother us; and they provide ear plugs... Super close by foot to the Galleria dell' Academia (David), and the Piazza di San Giovanni (Cathederal...). I had emaled before our visit to find out where the parking was. Sara got right back to me with the info that their partner garage is \"garage nazionale\" located a few meters before the residenza. We were advised to park first and then check in. At arrival it looked like the garage couldn't take any more cars, but when I mentioned we were staying at the residenza, the attendent squeezed us in. 25 euros for 24 hours. Very convenient location, you don't need to carry your luggage very far. The residenza now has its own on-site breakfast room! Nice little spread that gets you going in the morning.

Excellent alternative to an ordinary hotel

It is not a full scale hotel, and staff is only available during the day. At night you enter the building yourself with the keys supplied.
Located less than 10 minutes from main train station. Room is very clean and comfortable. Wifi strong and stable. Good breakfast arranged by a cafe just around the street corner. Close to the main market with many choice of eating places there (still more on the street around as well). A little bit of walking to the main catheral and the city centre and galleries / museums.
My suggestion for improvement: to add some kind of shelf in the shower cubicle for holding the shampoo, etc. And to change the room lock so that it can be locked from the inside without using the key.

We really enjoyed our stay.First of all, the location was great and everything was in wakling distance such as train station, restaurents,lots of tourist attractions and many more. We had great breakfasts every miorning at a cafe just two buildings away!The room was super clean and in great condition!The hotel staff were so polite and helpful. English was not a problem at all.

Hotel Residenza le Fonticine was a few block from the train station which made for an easy trek with suitcases. We were able to walk to all attraction, a bit far if you want to cross the bridge however very doable.

The hotel room was quite small so I would opt for 1 up from the cheapest room. Staff was friendly enough however not available 24 hrs. The internet connection was very bad…. I would be hard pressed to say they offer free wifi.

Overall it was a great location but nothing special in regards to the hotel.

the pictures lie.
we stayed in the hotel for three nights.
in the first two night we stayed in a very very small and uncomfortable room...
in addition, the room was in front of the joined bathroom and as a result we had allot of noise each time someone from the hotel took a shower...
we talked to the manager and asked to move to another room.
the next night was in a large room but to our disappointment instead of a tween bed we got two single beds... during the night we weren't able to sleep for a second due to the fact the room is above a main street...
very bad experience...

Great stay! the location was a few mins walk from main train station firenzi S.M.Novella, and walking distance from all main attractions of duomo, ponte vecchio, etc, The staff were nice and helpful, great place to stay if you wanna be close to tourist spots, the room was always clean and the front desk accomodated our request to change and upgrade the room w/ bathroom at the last minute. Did not realize that this place are shared br like bed and breakfast but they have rooms that have bathrooms. will stay again.

My husband and I stayed one night and found Residenza le Fonticine comfortable, quiet, and very clean. The bath is down the hall, so if you don't mind sharing this is a nice place to stay and it's walking distance to the Douma, Michelangelo's David, and more.

Nice hotel but external bathrooms are not ideal

The staff was very helpful and nice. Our room included an external bathroom that was not very convenient and all of the doors at the hotel were loud when trying to open them or lock them. I am not sure if it was the acoustics of the hallway or if it was needing to turn the key twice before opening the door. The bathroom shower was also small so shaving legs in it was not possible. Overall the hotel was nice being in a great location with friendly staff.

Good location of hotel. Close to the main train station,Firenze smn, the mercato and a relatively short distance to the duomo. Wifi though available was quite patchy and slow. The room had a somewhat weird smell to it and the pillows were too thin. If staying here, a good idea to get the room with an ensuite inside the room. Our private toilet was across the hall and it was a pain. Breakfast was available at a nearby cafe using hotel vouchers. They forgot to leave the vouchers in our room one night and the manager had to be contacted via email. It was quickly rectified though, so cudos to him.

Well, you get what you pay for...

Hotel rooms in Florence are horrendously expensive, particularly during travel season (April to October). We therefore looked at \"pensione\", \"residenzia\" or B&B for a better deal. Le Fonticine cost us 95 Euros, which is quite cheap for Florence in October. The place is generally OK, close to the SM Novella train station (3-min walk). The entrance is on a very busy commercial street, and doesn't look too promising from outside. Once inside, the residenzia offers a small elevator service that takes you to a rather cluttered and uninspiring reception area on the first floor. Our room was situated on the 3rd floor. Our room (which included a private bathroom) was very clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom amenities were modern and very clean. So that is a most important factor to us. However, there is simply no soundproofing and the noise of other clients accessing their rooms on the floor, or flushing toilets, was loud and disturbing, especially late evening. So was the streetnoise from the very animated area the residenzia is located in. All in all, we barely had any period of undisturbed sleep and we are fortunate that we had to get up at 3:30 a.m. to catch our return flight, so it didn't really matter after all.. Overall, OK but hardly romantic...

Convenient location, great value

Stayed there our last night in Italy. Room was spacious and clean. The area was very noisy, so probably not good for a longer stay if you are a light sleeper. Location was very near the train station, so very easy to catch a cab early the next morning. Cabs from the train station to the airport cost a standard 23 euro base plus 1 euro per luggage.

Good Hotel, Some info wrong

When booking this hotel it says that the check in time is 9am. At the hotel they informed us that this was incorrect, as this is when people may start checking-out. After we got there they let us leave our bags in the front. No complaints, the people were nice and our room was just redone and very nice. Breakfast is not at the hotel, but you get a voucher for a cafe next door.

We booked this B&B thinking we would be able to check in around 11:30 am. Hotels.com has it that check in begins at 10 am. To our surprise, check-in was not until 2 pm! We had already booked a tour for Pisa for 1:30 pm and would not be able to check-in on time for the 9 pm cut off time. The attendant let us take the keys to our room with us and she was going to make sure that our bags would be taken to our room as soon as it was ready. It was a minor inconvenience but it was not the fault of the B&B. We had to use one of the shared bathrooms to change clothes and get ready for our tour of Pisa. The location of the B&B was great. It was only a few minutes walk from the train station and also from all the sites. It central location was great. The was plenty of restaurants to eat at and the breakfast voucher to the cafe next door was great. It was more than enough food and a lot of choices to choose from. The room very spacious. It was more room that we needed and very clean. We didnt have a problem at all with the shared bathrooms and they were nice and clean. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone that wants a good central location and wants a place to put their head to a pillow. Hotels.com just needs to update their check in time.

My wife and I stayed there 3 nights. It very close to the train station and easy to find. The staff were great! Very friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was big and clean and found the bed to be comfortable. TV was very small but never wanted to turn it on anyway. The bathroom was shared and there were a 2 to choose from. We never had any issues waiting and they were both kept clean. Breakfast was via vouchers at a small cafe just out the door on the corner. Small sandwiches, a pastry, coffee or cappuccino, and orange juice. Wasn't huge but satisfying and tasted great. Location was nice, in addition to being close to the train station it was an easy walk to the main sites and museums of Florence. While it's not a 4 or 5 star type place in the sense of accomadations or amenities. I give it high marks for a good price, pleasant experience, and good location. Would stay again.

Super bem localizado podendo fazer todos os pontos turísticos a pé, quarto com tamanho razoável, café da manhã gostoso, mas simples. Staff atencioso. Checkin tardio possível de fazer pelo WhatsApp, mas não fazem checkout após às 10:30. Malas podem ficar guardadas no hotel para pegar posteriormente. Fácil acesso de carro, não é zona ZTL. Estacionamento próximo, mas o valor da diária no parquímetro do mercado central é bem superior ao valor informado.

ce n'est pas un hôtel à propre parlé mais un étage d'immeuble avec des chambres, notre chambre était très correcte, joliment décorée, propre, confortable, quelques signes de vétusté mais peu dérangeant, assez silencieux, en plein centre ville à quelques minutes de la gare et proche de beaucoup de monuments, des restaurants et fast-food au pieds de l'immeuble, seul la salle pour pt déjeuner était très étroite, buffet pt dej très bien également

Non hanno trovato nessuno per il check-in, hanno ricevuto istruzioni su come accedere in struttura tramite chiamata. Il giorno dopo, unica volta che hanno visto qualcuno in struttura senza preamboli sono stati chiesti i soldi della tassa di soggiorno.
Nella descrizione si paventa un servizio di reception dalle 14 alle 18 non pervenuto.
Stanza piccola ma accogliente, ottimo materasso, bagno grande ma privo di bidet, tale mancanza dovrebbe essere segnalata, nessun cambio asciugamani in tre giorni.
Il primo giorno colazione in struttura il secondo giorno per mancanza di personale colazione in un bar vicino. In entrambi i casi colazione molto scarsa.
Infissi datati che facevano condensa e dunque pavimento bagnato. I rumori della strada si sentivano palesemente.

숙소 위치는 괜찮았습니다. 하지만 숙소에서의 경험은 다음부터 24시간 리셉션이 있는 숙소를 선택해야 하지 않을까 하는 생각을 하도록 만들었습니다.
이 숙소에서 3박을 했습니다. 1박을 하고 다음 날 외출을 하고 돌아왔을 때는 청소가 되어 있지 않았습니다. 2박째 외출을 할 때는 청소를 해주실 수 있도록 키를 맡기고 나갔습니다. 숙소에 한낮에 돌아왔을 때 데스크에는 아무도 없었고 간신히 현지 개별 투어 가이드를 통해 연락했습니다. 처음 들었던 이야기는 방에 키가 있다 라는 말이었습니다. 방에 키가 있으니 들어갈 수 없다고 다시 연락을 해주었을 때 15-20분 정도 후에 직원이 도착했고 방에 들어갈 수 있었습니다. 더운 날씨 때문일 수 있지만 너무 힘들었던 기억입니다.

Lugar accesible cerca a la estación y al centro. Un poco pequeño en comparación a las fotos, pero acogedor. Desayuno bueno. El personal es amable. Televisión muy pequeña y la imagen era oscura.

Hotel bem localizado, com quartos pequenos mas bem confortáveis e café da manhã satisfatório. Um diferencial de outro da região é que o prédio possui elevador e isso é um conforto para viajantes com malas.

Die Lage wäre sehr gut gewesen! 5 Minuten zum Dom. Da die Straße jedoch stark befahren wurde und die Fenster sehr alt waren, war es nicht nur tagsüber sondern auch in der Nacht sehr, sehr laut! Das Bad wurde nicht geputzt, die Betten nicht frisch bezogen! Das Klimagerät war kaputt! Sie lief zwar, aber dafür ist unser Zimmer fast unter Wasser gestanden - trotz Info an das Personal wurde es nicht hergerichtet! Hotel ist kaum zu erkennen, wenn man vorbeifährt und die Parkmöglichkeit war nicht eindeutig beschrieben - mussten oft im Kreis fahren bis wir es gefunden haben. Alles in allem ist diese Unterkunft unserer Meinung nach nicht weiterzuempfehlen!

Idéalement situé et proche de tout. Personnel aimable. Dommage qu'il soit si bruyant. Très mal insonorisé entre les chambres (nous entendions le réveil des voisins), dans le couloir et les voisins du dessus et d'à côté.
Notre chambre n'était pas la meilleure (à éviter d'ailleurs 4B) car sans lumière naturelle.
Le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct.

Valgte dette hotellet da vi bare skulle bli 2 netter. Ikke så langt unna togstasjonen, hvilket er et stort pluss hvis du skal ta toget videre til andre byer. Mye støy fra trafikken utenfor vinduet. Sengene var ganske harde, og putene var hardere. Betjeningen hadde vi ikke så mye med å gjøre annet enn inn- og utsjekk, men blide og hyggelige.

Einfaches Hotel sehr zentral gelegen sowohl zum Bahnhof als auch zum Zentrum.
Personal sehr freundlich. Zimmer modern und sauber.
Einziger Nachteil die Straße. Die alten Fenster lassen leider sehr zu wünschen übrig.

Sentralt og veldig fint hotell

Veldig sentralt, gåavstand til både jernbane og alle store severdigheter.
Flott rom med kjøleskap fylt med velkomstdrikk. Stor og komfortabel seng. Rent og fint bad, men lite lys i dusjen. Vanskelig og nesten umulig å åpne vinduet.
Bra aircondition.Hyggelig personale. Koselig liten frokostsal.
Litt vanskelig å finne inngangen fra gaten, står bare et lite skilt på en dørklokke.
