The property is very well located. Near the train station and easily walkable to everything in the city. It’s a beautiful historic building with a lot of charm. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. My wife and I don’t speak any Italian and had no issue with communication. The staff go above and beyond to be helpful.

Unfortunately I’m only giving the property 3 stars because the beds are very uncomfortable and the air conditioning doesn’t work very well. We were in Italy for 2 weeks and stayed at a number of different hotels, and this one has the worst beds of any of them. They feel very old and don’t have a pillow top or memory foam so you feel all the springs. Very old school for a mattress. The AC also didn’t work very well, but it was a hot day when we stayed there so it may not be a big issue much of the time.

If they would replace the mattresses with something from this decade I would probably give the place 5 stars. Unfortunately the bed is one of the most important parts of a hotel for me so I don’t think I would stay there again unless they replace them.

No hay conectores para cargadores y el único conector múltiple en el escritorio de la habitación no tiene donde conectarse a la pared. Ósea que está de adorno.
Las camas son duras y viejas y el personal de servicio en el desayuno es joven y bajo nivel de servicio.
Pedimos un café americano hecho con café espresso y me llevan un esspreso largo quemado. Parece que no entienden bien el inglés.

My stay at Hotel Albani was definitely the least favorite part of my 10-day trip to Italy. The cleaning staff were nice and it was a quick walk from the train station, but the positives end there. Our room was very dark and hot. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. The breakfast room was extremely hot and the food and coffee I had there was terrible. There is a nice courtyard and an indoor sitting area with a bar, but it is next to impossible to get service at either area. You have to go to the front desk and ask them to send someone to help you each time you want something. When there are 60+ people from a tour group trying to check in and packed in the lobby, it's a little hard to reach the front desk to ask for anything. The extremely heavy, metal keychain with key to the room was a pain and seemed dirty. You could leave it at the front desk every time you left the hotel, but then you had to get it from the front desk every time you wanted to go back to your room. There were multiple steps to get into the main lobby area, which was inconvenient with a 60lb suitcase. Customer service was subpar at best and so different from every other place we stayed in Italy. There are so many hotels in Florence that are conveniently located close to the city center. I highly recommend staying at one of them instead of Hotel Albani - I sure wish I had!

The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious but the best part of our stay was the staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The front desk helped us with directions and dinner reservations, the restaurant crew and lounge bartenders were all extremely friendly. We highly recommend this boutique hotel located centrally to everything.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet my expectations for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast had variety, but it was exactly the same every day. Also, when we needed an iron, we had to wait a full day because the hotel only had two steamers available for guests. Overall, I expected better service from a 4-star hotel.

I hope the hotel is interested.
First, on check in I wanted assurance that the room is quiet. I was assured. In fact the room faces the street and is noisy. Fortunately I was able to substantially cover the sounds with the a/c fan.
Second, my wife thought the porter who brought our bags up said the items in the mini fridge were free. I don't recall seeing anything in the room with prices. So we were mildly shocked at check out. Maybe she didn't hear him properly.
Third, the hotel does not have any irons or ironing boards. It has a service that will steam your clothes with a 50 euro deposit. Never seen this before.
Fourth, we asked for a fork to be brought to the room. We were told we would be charged a room service fee but we could come down and get it. Strange we get shampoo instantly but no fork.
Fifth, I wanted to buy euros at front desk. The going rate was 88 euro to the dollar. The hotel was offering 66. I've exchanged currency and usually received a rate on par with the banks. This should be a service for the guest, not a big profit source
The hotel needs renovation. I see the manager insists it's historical, but the rooms and the hotel generally need repairs and replacement. Just my opinion.
But, I think the rooms are spacious, the welcome champagne and fruit bowl are well appreciated and the bathroom is really five star.

Here is my honest feedback regarding our recent two-night stay at your property. While I believe the hotel has significant potential, our experience was unfortunately disappointing due to the current condition of the facilities.

During our stay, we found the guest rooms to be poorly lit and the furnishings outdated. Specific issues included old carpets, visible stains on the ceiling, uncomfortable bedding, and aging bathroom fixtures. Overall, the accommodations did not meet a satisfactory standard. I also didn't appreciate an old school heavy room key.

Furthermore, the couple traveling with us experienced a malfunctioning thermostat that left their room uncomfortably cold. Despite multiple requests for assistance at the front desk, the matter was not resolved until the second night, requiring them to sleep in bathrobes to remain warm. Additionally, we found the quality of the breakfast buffet to be mediocre and below our expectations.

I hope you find this feedback constructive as you consider future property improvements.

This is fine hotel central in Florence. Easy access from airport tram. And walking distance to “everything”. The staff were helpful, and smiling.
Our balcony with a view to the hills was very nice.
If we were forced to mention a negative, it would be a “mechanical noise” coming from above the room.

Nice spacious room. The door key is heavy but nostalgic. You can leave with the reception, just like the old days. I did not try the breakfast even it was included. Check out the display cases where there some nice jewellries from local designers on sale. You need to pay in cash though. The hotel is close to restaurants and shopping.

My only recommendation would be to upgrade the bed and pillows, as they were not very comfortable. The location is great, especially if you need to stay close to the train station.

The Hotel Albani is a beautiful hotel with clean and modern rooms with great air conditioning.
The staff is very helpful and the buffet breakfast is excellent. The young man who is one of the breakfast host is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant also has dinner and our food was delicious and reasonable. The hotel facilities are lovely; nice bar, beautiful dining room and outdoor seating. Although a few blocks from train neighborhood was very busy with lots of restaurants. I would definitely recommend!

The Hotel Albani is the perfect combination of Old World charm and modern convenience. I love the classic decor; why, even the room keys have a weight to them is bespoke. And of course, Albani’s breakfast is just as elegant, and simply one of the best I’ve had at a hotel in a long time.

As for the staff, each member embodies a level of professionalism that is unmatched. I felt completely comfortable during my short stay; such professionalism is a cornerstone of the Albani experience.

Finally, the hotel’s location is ideal, with just five minute walk to the train station, I was able to further enhance my Florence day trips. Moreover, Hotel Albani’s location is just far enough away from the train station that you’re not subject the usual noise and commotion that accompanies such areas.

Without reservation, I can say that this hotel is a true gem.

I had a separate booking for my daughter and I had a booking for myself booked by my boss.

I understand the language barrier but tried really hard to explain that I was only assisting my daughter in checking in as she was using my credit card but the gentlemen’s insisted on charging me an additional $30 euro because the room I booked under my daughter’s name is Ont for 1 person even though the room was booked for 2 twin beds.

Either way, the 30 euro x 3 nights was unnecessary and un expected on our end but the front desk refused to listen and I did not want to continue to argue as we just arrived from a 2hr train ride.
