Exactly what I needed for a short solo trip from Rome, so I wouldn't miss visiting Florence during a short visit to Italy,

The hotel is located in an ideal situation for the train station; the centre of Florence / visitor attractions are all close at hand. This is a very comfortable family run hotel, the owner was an absolute gentleman, warm, friendly & very personable. His son, who generally managed the continental breakfast, was pleasant & attentive; as were the housekeeping staff who kept the rooms / general areas, clean. Whilst the hotel doesn’t have a bar, there is a TV / lounge area, with a mini bar / fridge in every bedroom. We will visit Florence again, for sure, and will absolutely stay at the Hotel Beatrice.

It was an excellent stay in a quiet street 5 mins away from the train station and about 10 mins away from the centre. Very easy to walk almost anywhere. The rooms are spacious unlike the norm in Italy, air conditioning and private shower. Very comfortable beds and a nice breakfast to start the day. Constantine for your assistance and a friendly welcome.

Unfortunately the unpleasant incense smell at the front desk filled the place in a suffocating way; and voices anywhere from the front and hallways are loud in the rooms.

Location was perfect, being near the main station and also close to the sites.
Although the interior was a little dated in appearance, it was clean and comfortable. The water was always hot for when you want a shower and standard toiletries were always replenished so you don’t run out.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Constantine who gave us invaluable advice and suggestions on what to do and where to go. I would definitely use this hotel again.

The owner is always present (it’s his family hotel for 70 years) and incredibly knowledgeable about Florence. He greets you at the elevator at any hour. He also gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations as well as suggestions on places that should not be missed. 10 out of 10 would definitely stay here again.

This is a classic Italian family run hotel. Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Location is very convenient and in walking distance to the train station, airport tram, and many of the sights in Florence. The elevator was an added and appreciated bonus.

Hotel Beatrice is a good, old-fashioned hotel with good, old-fashioned service. I loved the place. It has character, is safe, clean, and with excellent service -- they still provide maps! And the location couldn't be more convenient to the SMN Station and the city center. However, in truth I didn't have a great stay because I slept terribly due to street noise. I have the impression that most rooms are not overlooking the street, so just make sure you don't get a street view. It's nice during the day, but awful at night.

Close to the Firenze SMN terminal, so very convenient. We walked our bags there instead of paying 12 euros for a two minute taxi. Hotel Beatrice was special for the friendly staff, Constantino and his son, Daniel. They made us feel at home and gave suggestions on where to go and how to get there. We appreciated the hospitality

The hotel is located in a building less than 5 mins away from the train station & all main tourist attractions can be reached within 10-15 minutes. The hotel is as well maintained as it could be for any other old buildings in Europe, the room is basic but clean & has everything you need. The hosts are all very friendly and helpful. The wifi is the only thing that did not work very well during my short stay there.

The windows to the street seem to be old, so there was almost no isolation from noise, but after midnight the city gets quiet and you'll get used to it

This is an old apartment house converted into a \"hotel.\" The room is very small, you will be barely able to walk around the bed, with dark wallpaper, small bed, tiny TV set bolted to the wall, plastic caps, plastic kettle. You will hear all your neighbors, and every toilet flash in the building, like in a swamp. A thin door does not protect you from any the noises in the corridor and elevator noise. Thin windows do not protect from the street noises. The street is very dirty, full of garbage, and strange people sleeping in the street. It is very close to the station, central market and 15 min walk to the Duome. We booked for two nights but left after one night, no air in the room, woke up with a horrible headache. This is an overpriced piece of sh..t. Did not get any refund. Stay away.

Room is small, hotel is old, breakfast only served 7:30-9:30, rooms cleaned only before 12 noon, so if you stay in your room past then, no cleaning.
Check-out time is early, and management not flexible, even when i asked to check out only 1 hour later, at 12 noon.
Breakfast is very limited. Laundry charge is expensive, 10 euro for only one item.
Outside street can be noisy at times.

The entrance is a little hard to find, and once they're you have to buzz in then take an ancient elevator up to the 2nd floor to check in. But once inside, the room is spacious and clean. The building and facilities are showing their age, but things work well enough. Air conditioning is good so the room was cool when in August.

Location is convenient, close to the station, supermarket, central market, and various dining options.

We loved this charming place

Such a delightful place to stay. From logical reasons it was perfectly located for us close enough to the station we could walk with our bags and very close to all the sites. It was also a happy place to be with a charming host and staff. There is a nice sitting room there and enjoyed a nightcap with Italian youth soccer game. It was fun cheering Italy. It place is family own by dad and son. It is very old antique building. It was quiet but we felt like we are staying someone’s home. We stayed 2 nights with breakfast. There were nothing to eat! I tried to eat a boiled egg but it was rotten. After that we were scared to eat even prepackaged yogurt. They don’t have many guest so I don’t know how many days those eggs were sitting there. The owner, dad was nice person but I will stay elsewhere next time.

The hotel is supposedly a 3 Start but that’s simply impossible - I assume they got those starts in the early 70ties when the hotel was last updated.
It’s very run down, broken doors, cracked sink, my pillow was filled with wool and the bed was hard with madras springs poking through. Breakfast was very although the coffee was good. Look closely at the pictures - They look much better than in real life.

We chose Hotel Beatrice because if its proximity to the train station. They allowed us to check in a little early since we arrived sooner than expected. The owner was very helpful in giving us travel tips to get around the city and his food suggestions were perfect! We were even allowed to leave our luggage for a few hours after we checked out. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed 2 nights in a quadruple room with 4 twin beds (we had 4 adults travelling together). The room was small for 4 people but it's really fine for us. We walked around the city all day and this hotel was close to all the museums and basilicas. It's just a few minutes walk from the train station, very easy to find. Breakfast was good, just not many choices. Services was excellent.

Nice hotel in an excellent location, close to everything you need as a visitor to Florence.
Rooms were clean, staff is very helpful and engaging.
The only thing I would say is a lack of elevator to the rooms from the reception area.
As a tourist staying in a hotel, you would expect to have some kind of luggage and it was a bit hard to drag the suitcases up and down the stairs.

The rooms were old old, but charming.There is a lift. You need to bring a washcloth, but I found that everywhere in Europe.

My wife and I booked this hotel, based on the rating from previous customers and were certainly not disappointed. The rooms, although basic, are very clean and quaint. The most impressive characteristic, however, is the owners, who attend to everything (coordination, cleaning, breakfast) and almost always seem to be there when you need them. They are engaging, helpful and really made our stay pleasant and care free. Coupled with convenient location to the train station and conference center, and walking distance to most cultural attractions, this was a great place for us to stay.

Outstanding Family Own Hotel

We spent 3 nights here in this budget, family owned hotel. When we checked in, the son was nice and helped us for the luggages. The room was surprisingly large and very clean. Next morning, we met the owner Constantino in the breakfast room. He was very friendly, and we had a very good conversation and he also provided a lot of useful information. He helped us call and make the reservation so we didn't have to stay in a long line. Everyone we met there was so nice. I will definitely stay here again.

We chose Hotel Beatrice because we needed to catch a bus early in the morning and the hotel was close to the SMN train/bus station. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and had AC. The owner was very warm and friendly and very helpful.
It was easy to walk to all the main tourist attractions from the hotel and although it's close to the train station it was quiet in the hotel and seemed safe on the street.
Overall a lovely experience.
