The property was clean but with detergent that smelled vinegar; they change towels only every 3 days unless you pay extra. Staff was kind. We opted out of the breakfast because it cost $14 Euros per person and we saw the bread arriving in plastic bags like Pom bread. The location was stellar.

The staff were super accommodating as our plane was delayed, then there was a general strike of public transport meaning we had to check in almost 7 hours later than expected and after reception was closed. They responded to all our email and WhatsApp queries very quickly and made it very easy to check in after hours. The room had a small fridge, safe and lots of storage and hanging space. It was very modern and quiet. No street noise. Although people talking in the hall could be quite loud.

Would probably come back here again. Location wise it is very convenient and near the trevi. 3-5mins walk to the nearest metro with lots of restaurants to choose. Bus stops also nearby and a grocery store thats open late at night. There is no reception after 4pm. We had to help one guest with our own first aid kit because there was no one to attend to her and they dont reply on the whatsapp number. No kettle or water inside the rooms and toiletries but there are tea and coffee in the communal area which had a lovely and quite ambiance. Overall, we would probably stay here again as we ddnt have much issues with our stay. Was just anxious on the first night that we knew no one was in reception so my wife had to barricade the doors to ease her mind. After that, was okay.

We enjoyed the stay, transportation was arranged through the hotel from the airport and then again from the hotel to the port for an additional fee. My only real complaint is we were woken up each night by people coming into the lobby to go to their rooms. The rooms are not sound proofed and this was disruptive. I was woken up at 1 & 5 am which kept me awake for hours. Otherwise, the hotel does not offer many options as far as amenities but it is clean and the air conditioner works well. The staff is friendly and there are a ton of restaurants within walking distance. It’s also very close to the fountain.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spagna Ave. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was a decent size by European standards and very clean. Our rate included breakfast daily at a small cafe about a block away, which included eggs cooked to order, bacon, croissant, and coffee/tea, plus a buffet of meats, cheeses, salad, fruit, cereal, and various breads for toasting. We enjoyed our short morning walks to breakfast before setting out on our day's journey. Location is excellent--about 6 minutes to the Barberini Metro station which was 2-4 stops from most attractions we wanted to see, also a 5 min walk to Spanish Steps and 10 min to Trevi Fountain. Neighborhood was safe with lots of cafes, restaurants, small markets, and a pharmacy. We highly recommend Spagna Ave and would definitely go back.

I booked a room with 3 beds although we were only 2 coz most hotel rooms are very small in Europe. Taxi dropped us off at the address and when we went up the reception gentleman told us we need to go a couple of blocks and our room was in another bldg. walking 2 blocks uphill with luggage on cobble stone wasn’t easy. This bldg was worse than the first bldg. The room was big, nicely remodeled room and bathroom and very clean. AC works great. The bldg however was definitely not what I expected. I expected a lot more for paying $700 for 2 nights. Old smelly Bldg, on one of the floors, they have a few rooms renovated and use as guest rooms. It was kind of embarrassing telling our friends we were staying there. Location is good, walking distance to many major sites. Will I stay there again? ABSOLUTELY NOT and I will never book rooms on hotels.com or Expedia ever again. They charge sooo much more than the actual hotel and don’t support their clients if you have a problem. Glad it was only 2 nights and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Very disappointed and it ruined my vacation.

The property and location were excellent! Our only problem was that our a/c was not working so well for the room size. We were 4 adults in the Quadruple room and we found the room size and furniture very comfortable, but either the a/c unit needs to be relocated or move the armoire so the a/c can reach the other half of the room where the beds are. Other than that, we loved the property. It was quiet and had GREAT coffee free of charge in the hallway! They also had filtered water machine so you can drink or fill up your water bottle for free which was a very nice touch! Also, the breakfast facility was a 4 min. walk away and pay parking is a 10min walk away, They are also in a low emission zone so don’t drive there unless you have a permit!

This hotel is right next to the Spanish steps, easy walk to Trevi Fountain and dining. I little walk if you do the Hop on and off bus, but not bad at all. An apartment hotel
All was good, except the fact that it’s an apartment which I was not aware. They have three B&B, from hotels.com I received address of another B&B of theirs. Upon reaching there, I was told that the address is wrong. It was not easy to reach correct hotel as taxis refuse to go to near by places. I had to carry all my luggage which was not easy.

We booked Spagna Ave for our 6 ngts in Rome (Dec 23/Jan 24 period). We booked the accomodation 5 months in advance of our trip. However, just 2 weeks before our travel date, Spagna Av e-mailed us about some unexpected renovation works and thus changed our accomodation to their other chain accomomdation - Dulcis Inn. Dulcis Inn was perfect from a location perspective and was neat and tidy (but appeared to be cheper than Spagna Av). Given the late notice, we just accepted the change from Spagna Av to Ducis Inn.
Whilst the location of Dulcis Inn was perfect, after a couple of days the bathrooms started to smell and this continued throughout the stay. Whilst the reception staff were friendly, one particular staff member was not always helpful with tourist questions. Overall I found our stay very average and the smelly bathrooms was off-putting.

We really enjoyed our stay Spagna, the family room was just what we needed for all of us to stay in the same room. The room was clean and very comfortable. It is also convenient to the places that we wanted to visit. The only downside was cold showers - we had issues getting hot water for showers.

We stayed in the annex - Trevi Contemporary Suites. Excellent location. Good clean room and comfortable Bed. John the sole staff member was very helpful and sorted out any issues we had. Rooms had air conditioning units however they are connected to the air conditioning units in other rooms so if one room changed the mode from cooling to heating the aircon did not work. We recommend a note be added to rooms so people understand this. Generally a great place and would stay here again

The property was centrally located. The trevi and Spanish steps are within walking distance, the property is located steps from taxi stands, the surroundings were well kept. We arrived and not able to speak the language our taxi driver called the front desk located on the upper floor Gabriele the operator came down immediately,got us situated complete the registration, helped us with our luggage to the room, the bathroom was located outside the room 2steps from the room, it needs some updating but it was very clean. We didnt have enough beds but we were only there overnight so we made it work. The property was very quiet, the staff was helpful, they store our luggage until it was time to leave. They setup a taxi to the airport and he was right on time. Overall my experience for a first timer is favorable and if i find myself on that side of town again i will check them out again. On our tour of Italy I booked accommodations both old and new. This room did not disappoint. It had the best air conditioning of the 5 hotels we stayed in (even beat the Marriott), as the weather was hot and humid.
The staff was so helpful and friendly, including booking a car for our very early trip to the airport. Although the room was on the smaller side (which I expected from the pictures), it was very clean and had a regular sized shower in the bathroom (most did not), which was good because my husband is not a small guy. The room size is adequate because you’re really only there to sleep. There is also a wardrobe and shelves for your clothing, an in room safe and a small fridge.
The location is excellent! So many shops and restaurant options nearby. A quick walk to the Trevi Fountain, a quick walk to the Spanish Steps, and we even walked to the Colosseum and back a couple times.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The reception (which are also the cleaners) are only there in the mornings.
The room has a bathroom and bedroom, but any kitchen amenities are in a shared common space.
The aircon worked great, but the mattress and pillows felt harder than concrete.

Spagna Ave is housed in part of a 250-yr-old building. The rooms have been renovated and are clean and modern and have good bathrooms.

Great location, clean. Wish I could rate it higher, but it didn’t feel like a hotel to me. It was more like a dorm room. Our particular rooms did not have an attached bathroom. It was steps outside our room door, but it was inconvenient to get up to use the toilet overnight and have to key in a code to enter. Rooms were very plain and small. Bathroom was small with a very, very small shower. Perhaps that is common in Rome? We are accustomed to American hotels and this did not resemble one at all.

The 2 bedrooms we booked are extremely small and the beds are hard. We had to share 1 very small bathroom for both rooms which is located outside of our rooms and there was no airflow in the bathroom so it was very hot and uncomfortable.
