Staff is courteous, room is very clean. Shower was so small i was bumping into corners to just turn around- and I am a small woman. Breakfast is absolutely delicious. I do not recommend this hotel to light-mid sleepers. The room is not sound proof at ALL. I could hear every single word the guests in the room next to me were saying and they were speaking at a normal volume. I could hear them turn on the sink or flush the toilet. I am a light sleeper and this went on until 2am and I had to be up at 7am to leave for my flight. I was really upset but didn't complain because I could tell they were not being loud- it is the rooms.

Great location and excellent breakfast. However, the room was extremely small — the bathroom had barely enough space to sit. If someone is even slightly big-boned, it would be difficult to fit comfortably in the bathroom, and the shower tub was so tiny there was hardly any room to move.

Downsides were how to find as the outside name is hotel garrabadi and not hotel Rosso 23 so spent time walking up and down looking for it. Breakfast was limited and difficult to love around and in crampt space

Beautiful hotel with great location. Staff were very kind and accommodating! Room was clean and comfortable, our only complaint was that the lighting was poor (only a few lamps in the bedroom area). The included breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Huge selection and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

The noise from upstairs coming through the floor is terrible. Sounded like baby elephants dancing in the room above us.
One of the tiniest showers I have ever seen with a huge bench in the bathroom.
With an internal window all the noise from the downstairs kitchen travels upstairs so u will likely be woken from around 6am.
Couldn’t work out why our socks and slippers were going yellow till we realised some sort of yellow liquid was leaking through the light in the bathroom ceiling. Disgusting trying not to imagine what this could be… staff told us they only work there and to email manager.
Good location and breakfast but would not stay here again or recommend it to others

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rosso 23. The property is very clean, professional, and has an upscale feel. My room was a bit small, but still comfortable and well-maintained, with fresh towels and linens provided daily. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a great touch, and the staff went above and beyond -helping me with my suitcase to the elevator upon arrival and arranging a taxi transfer to the airport when I checked out. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Overall, an excellent choice for a Florence stay!

Was worried about staying so close to train station but it was great. Short 5 minute walk from station. Hotel is located in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. Plenty of food options and recommendations. Staff extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfy, a/c cold, elevator slow but works! House keeping left candy everyday which made my daughter so happy! Safe, quiet area. Would recommend!

Overall, the hotel is in a good location, with everything quite close by. However, the hotel itself is not in great condition, especially the rooms — it’s a bit old and doesn’t seem to be well-maintained. It looks like some parts of the hotel have been renovated, but not the rooms.

Housekeeping service is only available in the mornings — otherwise, the room won’t be cleaned.

Breakfast offers several options to choose from, but it’s not a buffet. Every day it’s the same. The breakfast staff is very friendly and kind.

Check-out is at noon with no option to extend it.

The Hotel Rosso 23 is our “go to” hotel in Florence. We always try to stay here and always enjoy our stay. It’s a stunning property which is a fusion of 2 original palazzos, sharing the property with the hotel Garibaldi Blu! The hotel has stunning features including an awesome sweeping staircase and an original 14th century fresco on the 1st floor. The breakfast is fabulous with so much choice. All staff are attentive and friendly and multilingual! Also a great central location!

Hotel is in a great location (a little hard to find under scaffolding right now). The AC was amazing to come back to after wandering Florence in the summer heatwave! The staff was great- stored my luggage when I arrived early, packed me a box breakfast when I was checking out very early. I stayed in a 1-person room - it is very small, and the shower is very-very small. The biggest frustration was that there weren't a lot of outlets for charging, and also that above/around me, when they were using showers and toilets, the plumbing was loud. I would definitely stay again!

Great clean place with a great breakfast! I stayed 1 night by myself to catch the airport the next morning and felt very comfortable and the lobby called me a taxi and it was there within the minute! You could easily take the train bc it’s right there as well but my luggage was to heavy by myself! Overall I would stay there again.

The property was located closely to the main train station in the city, close enough to walk to all the tourist destinations and right near a bunch of restaurants. The room was very clean, minimalist but perfectly put together, staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay at again in Florence.

Daniele, who worked the front desk was excellent. He was very helpful in making suggestions. He also was very compassionate since I was there to take care of a sick child in Florence. I would highly recommend the hotel, the breakfast was excellent. It is very convenient. The hotel lobby is a very beautiful space. The room I had was the economy room, so it was not very fancy, but there are higher level rooms that I did not see. There were no deficiency in the room and it was clean. The shower saw was small so if you’re a bigger person, it might be too small.

Hotel Rosso the best hotel in Firenze. It was a breeze getting from the airport to the hotel with the train only $3 for two people. The hotel room was supper clean bed super comfortable bathroom clean shower was only small. I would not change this hotel for another one if i go back to Firenze again. Breakfast whatever your heart desires. Walking at night was safe and restaurants surrounding the property. Thank you for the hospitality!!!

Great location, recommend you don’t have a car as they charge 48 euros per day . Staff were friendly hotel was very clean. Bar area and dining area poorly located. Was a maze trying to navigate to your room. Bathroom and shower were absolutely tiny as were the lifts.

The hotel location is just perfect, close to the main station and right in the heart of historical town. Its easy to walk everywhere.
My room was small and the shower was ridiculously small. I am not big but I struggled in the shower. Just double check this bit before you book. Otherwise, everything is fantastic

This hotel looks understated from the outside, but it is hyper modern and luxurious on the inside.

The rooms and bathrooms are ridiculously small - they should probably post a weight and/or size restriction! In fact, if you are a larger person, you would be better served staying somewhere else.

My partner and I loved it. The small room and bathroom had everything one could imagine: a 4 piece bathroom (incl. bidet); and a bedroom with a double bed, desk, chair, closet with a safe, etc. The hotel provided bottled drinking water every day.

The breakfast was wonderful, with lots of continental style choices, coffee made to order, hot foods (scrambled eggs & meat), etc.

The WiFi was good. The area around the hotel is great for travelers. A walk to the main station took less than 15 minutes. Walking to most major attractions is possible within 20-30 minutes. The area around the hotel boasts dozens of restaurants, pubs, and shops.

A very good hotel in a very nice location, despite the small rooms and bathrooms.

LOVED this hotel, a few minutes from the Termini rail station AND the shuttle to the airport. You can walk to all the sights, tons of shops and restaurants for all budgets. GREAT breakfast, friendly staff ; check-out is not until Noon, which helps. We got ourselves a spacious room looking at the plaza, with all amenities. Double-pane windows keep out the noise. Great mattress and room was cleaned every day. We hope to be back soon!! It was just such a nice experience.

We always enjoy staying here. This makes our 4th time in Florence and we've always stayed at this hotel. It's very convenient to the train station and the airport tram. A very short walk into the heart of the city. The property has a narrow facade but the interior is cavernous with numerous sitting areas. The breakfast is top notch. The decor has gotten a little over the top the last few years but that's okay.

While it was clean and the staff was really attentive, they put me in a 10x15 room over the kitchen of a restaurant facing the alley. It was super noisy. You had to slam the door to get it to close, as did everyone else, so all the slamming wakes you up at night. I felt cramped and uncomfortable. Anyone even slightly overweight would have a very difficult time moving around in the micro bathroom. This was not the room advertised. I feel like they put me in the dumpiest room in the place because it was an Expedia booking and thus a lower rate. I’d not stay here again.

Although finding the entrance was a little challenging, the hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel, with wonderful structure, artwork and service. It is in of what I believe is the biggest square in Florence and close to most of the major sites.

The hotel was absolutely magnificent, offering superb service, excellent staff, and a fantastic location. The warm welcome and smooth check-in process were impressive. Its proximity to the tram terminus, approximately 100 meters away, provides great convenience for travelers. Additionally, easy access to restaurants and major tourist attractions makes it an ideal choice for those visiting Florence. From the moment we walked into the doors we felt like “this is going to be great!”

The hotel smelled amazing with different smells throughout. The lobby was spacious and cool during the hot weather.

The breakfast and breakfast staff were awesome, making cappuccinos and espresso for us.

The elevator is a little sketchy and the hotel can feel a little like a maze at times.

The hotel is on the skirts of a main plaza and every night we were serenaded by local musicians. This also meant it could be a little loud from the crowds but with white noise we had no issues with the noise
