lovely place to stay in Florence. Have been there twice. The staff is extremely helpful and cordial, breakfast is just right and in s delightful setting. Love the location. We were there in late October and there was no air-conditioning – I think that his country wide at that time of year. Not the best when it's warm and the mosquitoes are still around. But, that's not their fault!

It's like sleeping in a renascence building

Stay was fantastic in Florence. The location is perfect, but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They think about any detail and will make you feel happy and comfortable all the time. Good people, big hearts. Also, the hotel was incredible!

The property was beautiful in an old Florence style. The outdoor patio was an unexpected delight and breakfast was fabulous.

The perfect area to get to see tourist attractions, dining options, to and from the train station. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable with great advice.

Amazing Hotel High Recommended

The staff at the hotel where great and very professional and made our stay that much more enjoyable. This charming hotel is in great location, 15 mins for airport and 1 block away from main train station in Florance. The breakfast was excellence and I continue to rave about the service and accommodations they provided me and my family.

The staff could not have been nice or more helpful-they emailed suggestions for things to do in Florence, as well as Venice (our next destination). The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. My only complaint was the small size of the rooms and street noise at night, neither of which are able to be modified.

Great location and beautiful building

Beautiful hotel located very close to both the train station and Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Rooms were spacious nice. Hotel staff were very helpful. Room did not seem to have air conditioning so we slept with the window open with noise from street and mosquitos. In hindsight, should have asked the staff for a solution that did not involve the window.

However, we did miss having a microwave, as it would have been helpful with little kids. The location was highly walkable—we arrived by train, and it took us just eight minutes on foot. The included breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend it.

Beautiful historic Palace stay

Beautifully decorated historic building which once served as a palace. Our triple room was spacious, with two shower rooms and high ceilings. The breakfast selection was the best we had during our Italy trip. Staff were very friendly. Location was perfect - easy to walk to the main train station and also all the attractions are just within walking distance. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Also the oldest pharmacy in the world is one minute walk away. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend to anyone wanting to get a true feel of Florence.

Conveniently close to Firenze S.M.N. Station. Area around the station is what you would expect from a big station in an important city. The employees at the hotel were courteous and professional. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and a good way to start your day. Easy walk to several sites and restaurants. Had our best meal at a restaurant recommended by the hotel staff, just a couple of blocks away. Accademia was an easy 15ish minute walk away. Our quadruple room was spacious and comfortable.

I chose this hotel as it was central, convenient for the tram link to the airport and the price was affordable. I travel solo so had booked a single room. The room appeared fine at first, it is an old building so I was not expecting all modern conveniences but there could be some improvements, such as a larger table / desk in the bedroom as everything was very cluttered. There was a mini fridge and safe in wardrobe but neither worked. Someone came to sort the safe out on two consecutive days but it was still faulty so I abandoned using it.

There was air conditioning which I did not need, and a hairdryer. I could have requested an iron if I needed one. There was also a kettle etc in the room, which took up most of the very small table provided. There was a large TV on the wall showing several English language news programmes but not much else in English. However the WiFi in my room was very good so I could watch films on my iPad and listen to my podcasts. The shower in the shower room was very small but there were large, new towels provided. Hot water took a while to arrive but when it arrived it was consistent.

The communal areas of the hotel were lovely. This is where breakfast is served and there is a small bar open in the evenings. There are some historic friezes on the wall in the small inside restaurant and great ceilings. There was a small seating area at the back of my room which was adjacent to the back of the restaurant and bar, so there was some noise escape.

I loved everything about this hotel except the room. It was extremely small and cramped and was not really reflected by the images. Small things were off, and I found it quite expensive for what it is. On the other hand, it is Florence! It is quite well located around the corner from Santa Maria Novella and within walking distance of the train station. The staff were wonderful.

The bed slopes to the centre from both sides which made for some uncomfortable moments and the shower over the bath was too low that even my wife had to duck under, and placed badly so just couldn’t shower easily. Shame as we loved the hotel itself, the staff and location.

Fabulous place to stay in Florence. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond, from the breakfast attendants to the front desk. Good selection of food, meats & cheeses, cereals, some random other things and lots of pastries. Lovely glass enclosed dining area, the courtyard would be a great place to eat with better weather. Location is great, none of the must see sites are more than a 15/20 minute stroll. Train station and car rental facilities are a 5 minute walk. It was a rainy week for us and there was always plenty of umbrellas for guests to use.

Great location and a fine family stay

A great place for a family stay. We were in a triple room with a spare sofa bed. Erfect location close to the main train station and historic center. The staff were always helpful. The building is historic dating back over 500 years and having once had TS Eliot stay. We were in one of the top floors so it got quite hot in the summer evenings and while there was Aircon we needed and were supplied another fan. Would recommend and return.

Great hotel!! Location is sooo great! 2 min to Santa Maria church, 0min to world oldest pharmacy / Most elegant perfume shop in the world, across the street is the best!!! Pasta restaurant. I noticed that you shouldn’t stay super middle area in Florence it seems like a head ache for in /out!! So this hotel was 5-7min walk with suitcase to central station. THE BEST!! and most of all, staffs are excellent!! All of them are super kindness and knowledgeable. Although I have to mention, If you meet Juri at front desk, that’s your most lucky day!! The Hotel is in a 16th Century residence and so with it the charm and accommodations that go with historic buildings. The staff is phenomenal -- friendly, helpful and they go the extra mile. We arrived earlier than check in and were invited to sit in the beautiful garden with complementary drinks. The garden is particularly attractive as a place to have a drink and eat their amazing breakfast. The location is literally a few blocks from the Novella train stations (we walked it in about 7 minutes), and it is literally around the corner from the historic center. We had the \"penthouse\" and the views were spectacular.

This hotel was very good. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and in a beautiful setting. The staff also very accommodating and friendly. I only have one negative and that would ONLY be for someone with any type of mobility issue. The bath tub is deep and could be difficult to get into if you have issues lifting your legs. Also, our room had a step into the actual bathroom. I could see it being dangerous for someone elderly. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was not very helpfully or accommodating on check in. We booked a room however according to them the rate we got was only for a single person, and they forced to upgrade to a larger room which was twice the rate of our original rate. So we ended up paying double.
Room service is very suboptimal. They never replenish the basics on a daily basis, we had to always ask for toilet paper, shampoo, towels etc...
If you want some ice they’ll give you few ice cubes in a cup. Every time we left the room, we left an actual key with the front desk, on the way in they would give the key to anyone who asks for the room number, which means anybody can walk into your room.
Overall, don’t waste your money, the hotel is way overrated and not worth it.

We loved this Hotel. The location was excellent. Close to the Train Station and easy walking distance to The Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and all the amazing attractions Florence has to offer. The staff at the front desk, namely Andrea, Jocelyn and Yuri were always helpful and courteous and had great suggestions for local restaurants and sites. The staff who assisted with the breakfast were friendly and always helpful. The breakfast offered a wide assortment of cold and hot items, and our only complaint would be to perhaps add an additional toaster. A special mention goes out to Yuri (our breakfast Waiter) who always greeted us by name and knew our coffee order. We would go back to this hotel without hesitation and would gladly recommend it to others.
