Well placed in Florence

Well placed by the station and within good walking distance of various sights in Florence. Breakfast was continental and ample. My only reservation is the noise that emanates from the breakfast area very early in the morning with doors banging. We were in a room right next to the area.

Good Location to Train Station

The hotel is a five minute walk from the train station. The breakfast room didn't open till 8 o'clock and most of our tours started before 8 o'clock so we're not able take advantage of the free breakfast. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. The manager was rude. I asked her about instant coffee since the room had tea. She told me that if I wanted coffee I could purchase coffee at the store around the corner.

Just okay hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location. The breakfast was okay. The bed was not so comfortable. There was a bar on the ground floor that played very loud music which can be heard in our room until past midnight so we were not really able to get much sleep. The room was fairly clean except the top of the cabinet was full of dust. A lot of restaurants around and the hotel is close to the train station.

We were afraid that there was no air conditioning in the room since there was none at reception but we were wrong. The room was very confortable and extremely well located, close to the train station and different sight seeing attractions.

Great ambience and fantastic location, literally two blocks from the train station at Santa Maria Novella. Cristina is very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms have wonderful charm with working fans and air conditioning and double-pane windows to keep out the street noise. We enjoyed breakfast. Very close to San Lorenzo and the Duoma Piazza. The center of town is also nearby as is the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. For the price this hotel is a bargain.

All you need for a stay to sleep; very peaceful. Hotel is small but the room is all ok complete with all you need.
Honest staff; i forgot my wallet in the bed (fell under or misplaced) with cards and money but when we came it is placed on our table . \"thanks for that\"

Adequate hotel if you just need a place to sleep.
But the room is not clean & the wifi signal is weak to almost nothing. There are no elevators & our room is on the 3rd floor.
But the hotel is walking distance to the train station & all the attractions in Florence.

Very central hotel

Hotel is very close to SMN railway station and the city centre. Great location for sightseeing and shopping. Also great location to catch train to travel to Pisa and Sienna for visits outside of Florence. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower was a bit small but got in. Otherwise happy with the room. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast on the terrace was really nice. Not a lot of choice in the breakfast but good enough for the price paid.

Great location, good room.

I was surprised to see some complaints about the rooms. Ours was perfectly good. The location was great. The room was comfortable. It was clean, and really spacious, especially for Europe. Breakfast was a little... weird, but in a great space (nice, outdoor patio).

The only negative I have is that the internet sucked. Like really sucked. It didn't work from just after 8pm one night until almost noon the next day. For tourists with no access to data plans, this is a big deal.

Great place (for the price)

Friendly staff for a very pleasant stay very close to the center of Florence and near the station. Lovely details, like historical photos of Florence, pleasant little terrace to have breakfast, and very nice interior structure, such as nooks and crannies. I would stay there again.

Modest hotel but very clean, the AC was pumping, and the location was convenient to all the sights and the train station. If you're looking for a no frills budget hotel but one that's still safe, clean, and pleasant, it's a great option. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Wonderfully cute hotel

The Tourist Hotel is as perfect a local and cute hotel as you could get. The staff was amazing, especially the wonderful lady who serves breakfast and is also a housekeeper. She was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is right off a Piazza and is a prime location for walking everywhere. The room was comfortable and very clean. Our room had a small balcony that was perfect for morning coffee.

Good Service And Location, But Very Basic

The location of the hotel is great. Near the main train station and all the main sights are walking distance.

The staff was very nice and polite. The person at the front desk was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and, along with the bathroom, clean. There was also a small balcony which was nice, but no view other than the hotel next door. For a solo visit where I didn't spend that much time in my room, it served its purpose.

Unfortunately, there were a few things lacking, which is the reason for the rating. The décor in the room was \"quaint\", but a bit tired. No refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but manageable. However, the towels were weird.

The walls are pretty thin. Anyone talking in the hallway or talking in the next room can be heard quite clearly. My main gripe was the WiFi. I had to try and pick up another room's signal, which was weak. Even when I could get a connection, it might as well not work. I had to try and pick up other non-password protected WiFi instead, which you can from the breakfast room.

Breakfast was included with the room, but it was very simple. The breakfast is more a convenience than a selling point. I only had it once as I was hungry but skipped it the other days I was there.

If you are just looking for a place to sleep in a very good location and friendly service, this is it. But if you want more from your hotel, look elsewhere. However, hotel prices are not cheap in Florence.

Just the job for sightseeing.

This lovely little hotel was great for our short 4 night stay in the beautiful city of Florence. It was located only 10 minutes from all the major sights. The facilities were appropriate for our needs and the staff were very helpful, waiting for us when we arrived close to the latest check-in time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good location, quirky interior

Very conveniently located - 5 min walk from the train station and 5 min walk to Duomo and Galleries.
The layout of the room I stayed - I would call it apartment rather was sold as single occupancy, located on 2 floors and even remaining part of the staircase incorporated as the feature :) really quirky! the view of the neighbouring courtyard included a pool and the backgarden - take the pictures to fool your friends!
Cristina the receptionist and Signorina serving breakfast are very helpful ladies.
All in all I enjoyed staying there and will consider it in the future

Close to the train station

This hotel is older because it's in the old part of town. Yes the water pressure is low and the room is dated, but we loved our stay with the friendly staff and the convience to all the sites we wanted to see. Looking forward to our next visit to Florence and staying at th Tourist House.

It is only a house, not a hotel

My demand was only to get proper internet connection and a comfort stay. The \"room 9\" is not even connected to the hotel wifi. I tried to connect with open wifi networks available, but, with a connection speed of 10kbps. The breakfast also was poor. The only good thing about the hotel is its location.

Good location, not far from railway station. 10 minutes walk to the city center.
Clean room and separate bathroom.
But it is no more than 2-3 star hotel, but for such price you'd not find better place for 1-2 days stay.

Quirky room with culture in a great location.

A really quirky place to stay - my room was more like a mini apartment with bathroom and entrance corridor downstairs, and the bedroom upstairs - I think this is because it's in a converted old building. Nice cultural touch. :)
The older gentleman who greeted me at reception was great and very friendly.
The bathroom seemed like it had just been newly renovated - very clean and no wear and tear.
Breakfast was simple, but on point, and of course there is nice Italian coffee available.
Location was excellent! Very close to the main train station, and a short walk to any of Florence's bustling piazzas. Would highly recommend.

Our most pathetic hotel experience so far in Europe. We booked the hotel as an early check in (9:00am) option was available given that we arrived very early in the morning. In all the emails those we were receiving prior to the check in, the same early check in information was repeated. But when we arrived the hotel argued they don't have early check in. Even though the mail was sent from their mail box. Finally we were given a room at 12:00 pm with a dysfunctional bathroom. We traveled with young children and needed to check in early. The oh reason we booked the hotel was that it was very close to the station with an 9:00am check in option.

The rooms were clean but the AC was not coing the room. Bath cabin was holding water and passing it very slowly.

Except for the location, nothing worked for us.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is family run and everyone is incredibly nice and helpful. It is also decorated quite charming. The location is out of Venice but is very easy to reach by bus. It rained hard the day we were headed into Venice and we were all offered weather tips and umbrellas. Thanks! The room was clean and we were quite comfortable. The quality of service is friendly, helpful, and they go the extra mile with a smile. While much of the staff was able to speak to us in English (appreciated as our Italian is limited) some of our hosts did not, however we still understood each other and had a wonderful time 'conversing'. The breakfast is fantastic and served restaurant style. We would stay here again. The only thing we didn't love about it was we had specifically requested non-smoking and when we arrived our room did have some lingering smoke odor. Perhaps this had drifted up from the courtyard, but it did smell like it was from the room. However, we aired the room out and did not notice it the second day. Oh, and they have an African Grey Parrot would can hang out and chat with if you like. :) Thanks.

Near train Station

Upon arriving to the hotel, the only personal there was an italian housekeeper who did not speak english. She called the owner of the hotel for 15 minutes before getting an answer. By then, she informed us that we would be staying in the room that my friend and I had just observed a couple emerge from. Over the phone, the owner told me that we would have to wait until the afternoon to place our things in the room. We also were informed that we had to leave our passports in the hotel while we went out sightseeing in order for the owner to copy them when she arrived \"sometime later\". The only thing cleaned when we got back to the room was the bed and bathroom floor. The floor in the room was still dusty and dirty. The \"towels\" were just thick sheets that barely dried my hair. The only redeeming factor of the room was that it was their largest room- but it was right next to reception. I returned one day to find the door wide open and empty, with all my things inside unsecured. The cleaning lady returned from the back of the hotel and told me she was just getting more supplies...and didn't understand why I would be upset that all of my belongings were left unsecured. Also, the free breakfast was in a restaurant next door where the servers were rude and told us that we had to sit in \"special\" tables that were not made up and bare of utensils. Additionally, when we got to the hotel we found that we had to go up 2 flights of stairs with heavy suitcases since there is no elevator.

Good location but was noisy

The tourist hotel was in a good location, just a few minutes walk from the railway system. We didn't see much of the staff other than check in and out but they were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and average and since we were there to explore the city and not hang out in the room it was sufficient for a place to crash. The only downside was the noise. There was loud music from a band at a nearby establishment, not sure where exactly, that made it a little difficult to fall asleep. It may not bother some people, like my husband who can sleep through anything, but it did keep me up a while. Overall, it was decent place to stay for the price.

The rate for my one night was very reasonable. It was a lovely stay and the staff was able to inform me of different things to do around the town and places to go. The staff also informed me of which bus would take me where! It was very informative and a very comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Good location but unlucky room #3

The location was great- close to train and city sights. The room we stayed in was right next to the breakfast room so at 7:30 am we heard it getting set up and then people moving around. The room is above a wine bar and on Sunday night they had a live band so we had to fall asleep to rock and roll that stopped around 11:30pm. There was AC fortunately so we were able to keep the windows closed. We would have liked to have them open to air out the room since the cleaning staff overdosed on the cleaner in the bathroom but mosquitoes would get in. The shower didn't drain right and after a shower, water would leak out of the shower onto the bathroom floor. We told the staff so hopefully they fix it. The staff was very helpful.

Clean Hotel, Great Location, Great Price

This hotel was in a great location. It is only a block from the train station and all the sights are very close. The tourist area of Florence is small compared to bigger cities like Rome, so even things that seemed far away were short walks. The hotel was very clean. The room was small, and the shower barely fit one person. However, it is worth it for the price. Our room was on the first floor of a small street, and there were two sets of windows so it was very quiet.

Great hotel... centrally located

We loved the hotel. Its not 4 star, but it was very comfortable and very centrally located. Even better, the staff was very knowledgeable about where the best meals, deals, shopping and even pointed out on the map with walking directions. Being in Italy is such a wonderful experience and you want to take it all it, but we were happy that the staff was fluent in English.
Would stay here again for sure :)

Un fine settimana a Firenze.

Ottima posizione in pieno centro a due passi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Santa Maria Novella. Hotel senza problemi, pulitissimo con buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il personale è stato molto gentile e cordiale, ci siamo trovati benissimo. Colazione ottima e abbondate. Sicuramente sarà il nostro punto di riferimento se tornerEmo a Firenze.

Quando chegamos ofereceram nos um quarto melhor do que tinha reservado, tivemos um upgrade sem pagar! Otima localização (3min da estação S.M.N e mesmo na praça S.M.N)! Bem recebidos com recomendações onde comer e viver da melhor maneira Florença. Bom sinal wifi

Não tem elevador e o pequeno almoço podia ter mais variedade.
Nem todos os recepcionistas falam inglês.

立地は申し分なし

フィレンツェ駅近くとサンタマリアノヴェッラ広場のすぐ横で立地は申し分ありません。シャワーの使い勝手も良くホテルとしての条件は一通り揃っていて快適です。通りから部屋に至る鍵も２つ渡され気楽に過ごせました。しかし古さは感じますが、清潔さはあります。食事は一切ついていませんが、近くには店やレストランがあり便利です。

観光に便利なホテル

サンタマリアノヴェッラ駅から徒歩7、8分の距離にあります。サンタマリアノヴェッラ聖堂の目の前という好立地な場所にあります。隣がレザーショップです。
(グーグルマップで調べる際にツーリストハウスリッチという別のホテルが出てくる場合があるのでしっかりと確認する必要がありました)
レセプションは階段を上がらなければいけないので、大きいキャリアケースをお持ちの方は気合を入れる必要があります。レセプションでは老紳士が対応してくれました。パスポートは全員分を見せ、コピーを取ります。市民税？を払う際にはカードが使えないので現金を用意する必要があります。内装は古き良きイタリアのオールドホテルの趣きがあり、私はとても好きでした。壁の色とカーペットの配色がとてもオシャレでした。
20時30分以降はスタッフが帰ってしまうので、ルームキーと共に、ホテル入り口のキーを貰います。
セミダブルのユニットバスタイプの部屋で窓を開けると、小さなベランダが付いていました。寝るだけでしたら問題のない広さです。部屋の内装はとてもオシャレでした。
部屋には湯沸かしポット、ティーセット、テレビ、無料の水ペットボトル、冷蔵庫が備え付けられています。Wi-Fiは電波が結構強めでしたのでネットにはサクサク繋がりました。パスワードとIDは同じ番号でドアの入口に貼ってあります。
バスルームは清潔感があり、問題ありません。しかしトイレに行ったあとは換気と水道管が良くないので臭いが篭りやすいです。仕切りドアのあるバスルームは狭いので身体が大きい人は大変かもしれません。シャワーは湯量、温度調節共に問題ありませんでした。ドライヤーは備え付け、アメニティーはシャージェルが置いてありました。
暖房設備は付いていますが、部屋では操作できません。室温が一定の温度に下がるか、一定の時間が来たら作動するのかは不明ですが昼間は作動しませんでした。
チェックアウトの際はスタッフがいないので鍵をレセプションのカウンターに置いてねと言われました。
とにかく立地は素晴らしいと思います。周りはうるさくなく、静かです。サンタマリアノヴェッラ聖堂、薬局、サンタマリアデルフィオーレ聖堂、ベッキオ橋など全て徒歩圏内で行けます。お腹が痛くなったり、ちょっと休憩するのにもすぐ戻れますので腰が痛い方やトイレはキレイな所が良いという方には良いと思います。

Ottima posizione: vicinissima alla stazione ferroviaria e al centro della città.
Letti comodi. Bagno e doccia confortevoli. Notte molto silenziosa. Pulizia ottima.

En pleno centro histórico de Florencia y a apenas 5 cuadras de la terminal de trenes y buses.. con habitaciones amplias y muy limpias. El personal es amable. El desayuno no está incluido en el precio pero es abundante y accesible. Conviene tomarlo ahí. Recomendable!
