The property is very convenient for access to the central region of Florence. Restaurants, shopping and tourist attractant buildings are readily available and it's close to the main train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I left too early to have breakfast so I cannot comment on this aspect. Rooms are simple but clean and functional. The main drawback is you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to access the hotel,

Cons: Didn’t love the 50 steps up to the check in, or the lack of assistance getting suitcases up or down! Because of the narrow streets, you also need to wheel your bags to and from the train station as it’s not cab friendly. The rooms, and especially the bathrooms, are very small. The room was one of rhe nicer ones on the trip. Small but quite workable for a short stay. We stayed 3 days. Location worked out well as we could easily walk to all of the sites we wanted to see. There is no elevator and you will need to carry your luggage upstairs. Lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was included and the variety was good.

The location was a key reason for the score. Easy to get to everything in Firenze, including my favorite Tratorria Sergios. The room was clean but very difficult to move around in. There is no lift so you need to climb the stairs to get to the reception. The breakfast was fine.

This property is old and charming. Could use some updating - especially the bathroom. But it was clean and the staff very helpful. Their breakfast was amazing! Be warned there is no lift and they tell you the hotel is on the second floor BUT they start at floor zero there. That's TWO flights of stairs with luggage.

My family and I enjoyed our stay a lot! The reception was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was very clean and spacious. We appreciated that there was a wonderful breakfast that was included in our stay. Although, there is no elevator and we did not like the unpleasant smell in the stairwell….of course that just minor issue, please don’t let this not booking here.

The location is very centralized, so convenient to get to anywhere in Florence. The only draw back is no elevator so carrying large luggages up 2 stories is kind of hard. However, the staff, the location and the price of the hotel more than make up for it. You just need to be aware of this point before you book and you won't be disappointed. One bonus point, they have a large family room with one large and two small beds. Perfect for a family of four.

This was a great place to stay while in Firenze, the staff here are very friendly, understanding and good people. Special mention to Daphne who was so warm and welcoming, it really made us feel comfortable and safe. The hotel is walking distance to most of the main sites including the “Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze” (Michelangelo’s David is here), and which is a 4 minute walk and “Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore“ which is also about a 5 minute walk - just two of many nearby sites. Would definitely stay here again!

Clean hotel but not ideal for summer
The hotel and staff are very polite. Before our trip they contacted us to remind us that there is no elevator and we need to climb 2 floors with our luggage. We were fine with this. Major complaint was the lack of AC. We went to Florence in the peak of summer but the room was no comfortable to be in and was just as warm as outside. We were instructed to put the AC no lower than 20 or else it will freeze. Did not help. Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean and good to have a free breakfast. I assume it would be a better stay if you’re coming when it’s not blazing hot

Location was decent but if you are going in summer when is 30+ and you look forward to get back to the hotel for the blast or the AC then you won’t get it. The AC was always turned off and when it was on even if it was on full blast it wasn’t very strong which made nights uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly but we also would have preferred breakfast earlier than 8 which is normal in England.

They helped my aunt and I with taking down luggage & getting a taxi. This location is walkable to a delicious restaurant \"Za-Za\" and the Academia museum. Lots of bakeries and stores around. 12-15 min walk from train station. Hotel has comfortable beds and is eco friendly!

Location, location, location!!! Amazing location right near so many of the main attractions. Everywhere we need to go was a 5 - 10 minute walk. Super quiet street and once we were inside it was so quiet and peaceful. It rather spacious room for European standards. We had a queen bed and a twin for our son and there was room for all of us. One downside was that our shower was a little moldy but it was a private bath which was nice. I would defiantly stay here again. The 24 hour front desk staff was super helpful and the breakfast was delicious. You did have to walk up two stories of stairs (no elevator) but it was worth it.

However, please note that it is situated on the third floor and lacks an elevator, which could be a concern for guests with mobility issues or those carrying heavy luggage. Additionally, the comfort of the beds may not meet everyone's standards. During breakfast, the presence of a supervising lady made us feel somewhat uneasy, as if our selections were being monitored too closely. This aspect could be improved for a more relaxed and welcoming dining experience.

Excellent economy hotel in the heart of Florence, easy walking distance to the major tourist attractions and to the train station. As the hotel clearly advertises, it is located on the second floor and there is no elevator. The European definition of second floor is what we would call the third floor in North America. Be prepared for lots of stairs, four flights with 46 steps total! The room was adequate and equipped with a small bar fridge and kettle. However, the bathroom was very small and you could definitely hear people in the adjacent rooms. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

We had an amazing experience at Hotel Camilla. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was exceptionally clean and modern. Only issue was inability to sleep at night due to the loud people noise from the restaurant on the main floor that sometimes continued until 230am. If you are a sound sleeper this is definitely the place for you! Very close to walk to tourist spots and about 10 minute walk from the main train station.

Lovely central hotel
A lovely hotel which is so central. Lots of restaurants close by and only a 10 minute walk to the train station. The staff were all so friendly and lovely. Anything we needed help with, they couldn’t have done more. Breakfast was lovely. One day we were leaving very early to go on a trip and they let us go into the kitchen and take what we wanted so we wouldn’t be hungry. Only downside to this hotel is the flights of stairs but we knew that before we booked. Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Terrible service, dirty room
Due to a delayed bus we did not arrive until late in the evening. Although someone was there to let us in (we had to buzz in from the street), we had to climb a couple of floors before finding the right one. The man at the desk told us the room was only for 1 person and that we would need to pay an additional 55 Euros per night. We showed our confirmation of the booking on Hotels.com and it did not make a difference. The next morning we spoke to the manager who said the same thing. We were given one towel and there were ashes on the table and bugs in the shower. There was barely enough room to squeeze between the bed and the desk. We left after one night even though it was too late to get our money back for the second night.

Overall we had a pretty good stay.
There is no elevator and it is up 2 stories with 4 rather long flights of stairs but we did ok with that.

This hotel is in a very central location in Florence, about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station.
As the hotel and other reviews indicate, this hotel is on the 3rd floor and only has stairs, but since we were prepared, it was no problem at all.
The staff are very nice and welcoming and the free breakfast every morning is top notch!
My only piece of advice is to pay attention to the size of the room you are booking, I think we booked the smallest room for 2 people and it was so small you were not able to walk around the bed. We are also both on the taller side (5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet) and our feet hung off the bed. I think most rooms are a bigger, more livable size, but staying here for 3 nights in the small room was tough for us.
