I really appreciated they had a drinking water machine, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, the staff was friendly and it was in a great location. If you are a light sleeper make sure you bring ear plugs because the doors are thin and you can hear people passing by.

The photos are extremely misleading. This place is an absolute dump and a major safety hazard. STAY FAR AWAY. I have a disabled mother and they put us in a room where the bed is on a loft with a narrow stairway leading up to it. I'm in good shape and even I was scared I'd injure myself going up and down it in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom downstairs. When they showed us the room and I said it is too unsafe for my mom and her health condition they wouldn't switch us into another room or even bring a rollaway bed so she could sleep safely on the lower level. They did nothing to help so we had to leave and find another hotel last minute which was extremely stressful and really put a damper on our vacation. To add injury to insult, they would not refund us even though we never stayed there citing Expedia's no cancellation policy. What they fail to recognize is the EXTREMELY unsafe conditions they put us in. SHAME ON THIS HOTEL AND SHAME ON YOU EXPEDIA FOR WORKING WITH THEM AND NOT TAKING OUR GRIEVANCE SERIOUSLY.

I felt so scammed staying at this property. NOTHING like any of the pictures posted. Just a small all white room 75 ft square room. Bathroom reaked of poop. Also if you check in after 3 there is no one there and you have to walk to another property (their sister hotel) a few streets away to check in. Also the walls were paper thin. We could hear all of our neighbors at all times. People coming in n out early or late will wake you up. Only positive feedback was that the staff was nice and location was good

First off the staff was amazing, so nothing negative about that. My problem is that we felt a bit misled, when we booked, we did so based on the photos for the room. It showed a one bedroom, no stairs. Although our room had stairs to get to the bed and it was extremely small stairs so very hard to go up and down late at night. Followed that with we had a few issues with the plumbing. First night the toilet backed up and flooded before we could even use it (the staff send someone the very next morning to fix it and clean the room but we weren’t able to use the bathroom first night). After that we noticed on our last day there was a very bad smell when we flushed the toilet and it was because the backup sewage was coming out of the shower. Since it was our last day we didn’t want to make a fuss, we just mentioned it to them as we left so they could get it fixed. I’m sure they would have done so beforehand if we mentioned it, so that is mostly on us. Overall, staff and location are amazing. Room is incredibly small and those stairs are extremely scary (plus potential plumbing issues)

The hotel was great and our room felt rustic in the heart of the city. Very close to the museums, the Basilica, and other amenities. There is parking available, but it is a 20 minute walk (like most hotels in the heart of the city). The staff were very friendly and helped us navigate the city and get checked in late at night.

Overall good room

We were in Florence during a 102 degree Fahrenheit week in August and were so relieved to have a hotel room with air conditioning, a comfortable bed and some nice extras, like the shared kitchen, and mini fridge. The front desk greeted us warmly and were very responsive when we needed a corkscrew. I have to mention There was a strange bilge pump in the bathroom and the tap water tasted like plastic so we were uncomfortable filling water bottles with that. We bought bottled water to be safe. The stairs to the bedroom loft were very steep, but we were fine with that. Overall, it was a positive experience and we would recommend the hotel.

Charged twice-still waiting for a refund

Upon arrival, the hotel front desk receptionist could not find payment for this booking. I had already paid in full, but was told I needed to pay again as the charge did not go through. So after I was charged- they were able to find the original payment. Then they could not refund my payment to my credit card and proceeded to ask for my bank account information- which I was not going to give. It has been 2 months since I left this hotel and still do not have a refund. This ruined my stay there and I am still dealing with this.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming, very accommodating! It’s an Italian hotel so expect that things are smaller, certain amenities work differently but that is part of the traveling experience! Would definitely come back, our room was really spacious for 4 and the rooftop was even more beautiful at night.

We never got to sleep because we let them know the AC wasn’t working , they said they would fix never happened. We asked for a fan at least…they said “ couldn’t help us” it was a 2 level and I’m 42c heat it was unbearable! My sons n is we’re miserable

The hotel/B&B is very nicely kept, the staff is super knowledgeable and speak different language to accommodate the guest. They are literally around the corner from the Accademia of Arts, 1 block away from the Palazzo Medici and 3 blocks away from the Duomo.

It is placed very close to the center, but still rather quiet. Ina the lady at the front desk is very knowledgeable and friendly. Single disadvantage is that if you arrive after 3 PM you have to go to check in at hotel Ginori at about 250 m and many tourist don't give their email or are not attentive at details written small.

The location of this property was great! Close to the Duomo, train station, San Lorenzo market, and other piazzas with lots of dining and shops around. Staff was really helpful, kind, and accommodating. The room was clean and nice- only thing is the door of the armoire was squeaky and loud while closing. Would stay here again and recommend to others!

Very friendly staff. Hotel is very clean. There’s triple security entryways which is good. There’s a small community kitchen and roof terrace which are nice. The roof terrace overlooks the Duomo which loos fantastic at night. We had a serious maintenance issue involving plumbing that was repaired in an hour which is 10 times faster than here in America which was pretty cool. It’s very close to fast food, bank atms and several cafes and right in front of the museum which houses Michelangelo’s David.

Had an elevator which was wonderful as up two flights of stairs. Room was comfortable, Wifi was good. Breakfast was very good, great selection, fresh croissants daily etc. Second night our sleep was disturbed by very noisy guests chattering in the reception area I believe for a long time, so soundproofing not great.

Bad experience!

I booked this hotel with hotels.com but it belongs to italhotels.group and Indo not recommend any of this hotel chain to anybody as they overbook and play games with guests. When we arrived they said that the bathrooms had some problems and they send us to another hotel just for one night and told us the next day we will be relocated at our original place. Conde di Cavour is an old place remodeled for guest rooms.the hall ceiling right in front of our door room had a water leaking and we had to put our trash can to avoid the water running on the floor. The recepcionist Ina is a wonderful worker and she tried to be above and beyond our needs. This girl is a multitasking employee and always smiling and helping everybody. I do not recommend the place.

Never deal with this hotel!!!

Had a problem before we stayed and tried to call the manager when he got in at 7am. So got up at 3am in Canada to call him/her but he would not speak to us. To
D them that they could rent the 2 rooms for 4 nights each, as we were unable to be there, and even though Firenze (Florence) is in high demand and they subsequently told us they turned people away, they did nothing to help us out. We would NEVER go to this hotel and are disappointed in their cavalier attitude.

Wouldn’t book again, but some redeeming character

Wonderful location, and wonderful staff. Unfortunately we were in probably the worst room that they have (don’t book 420 or 421). It is right on the street and you won’t be resting once the city wakes up. The bathroom was small and shower even smaller with no soap dish and water didn’t drain well. There was also a very loud noise that started everytime a water source was used. Presumably the tank filling but incredibly noisy and disruptive. These two rooms are also literally a foot from the front desk so any activity in the hall, including other guests coming home at night, you will hear. The location is wonderful and the staff (one lady) was so very welcoming and helpful, but unfortunately wouldn’t book again.

Was not what I had expected (resudenza means residence so the “hotel” is in an apartment type building). The staff, Pierre was so friendly and helpful but only there until 2om each day. They need to hire more help as he was a one man show and did everything. Breakfast is okay - coffee, juices, pastries and ham and tomatoes and cheese nothing hot. Our room located across the front desk was noisey as you can hear people coming into the reception area right outside your door and the water pump made noise every time we or someone else ran the water or flushed the toilet. Outside is also noisey - you can hear all the cars going by. But if you close your window it’s not too bad. The AC is great as it was very hot. The hotel location was excellent - very central to everything and made it all worth staying there.

The hotel was great! The room felt very clean and was in a great central location. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning made our stay very comfortable! The staff was very attentive and helpful. The only downside was having to walk to the other location to check in but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience.

Decent Stay in Florence with Very Kind Staff

Very Nice Staff. Cars are kept off site and takes about 30 minutes for them to bring your car via their \"valet\" service. Rooms are quite small and beds are incredibly uncomfortable. Air conditioning did not work very well and breakfast was typical Italian in that it was mostly Bread.

Great location. Comfortable and modern room. Biggest issue for me was the noise factor. The walls were thin and I could hear everything in the room next to me as well as all noise in the hallways. I like a quiet and peaceful environment, this was too noisy for me. For the price and location it was lovely.

Newly remodeled. Very modern. Well located. Staff over the top helpful. The hotel is in two locations but very near to one another. It didn’t put me off to walk down the street for the buffet breakfast at the other location. It may do for some.
