Good room, comfy beds and pillows. Smart tv. Good amenities. Towels are a bit rough. Need to work on sound proofing the room from the road. Safe works, mini fridge in room. Check in could have been more informative about the city, map etc. just got a basic check in and here’s your key. Breakfast is a nice touch. Area is okay, close to the station and the centre.

Very friendly staff that was attentive to all my needs and preferences, and made sure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. I will gladly stay here again on my next visit.
The room was very comfortable and quiet, and very true to how it was advertised on the site. The location is great and perfectly tucked away from the busy scene of the historic center, but also in walking distance to all the attractions. Highly recommend!

I stayed in Florence for the first time this past May at Room Mate Luca for 8 days and it was a nice hotel. Conveniently located close to the city center, clean, good breakfast, room service every day and reasonably priced. They also had A/C in the rooms and staff on site 24/7. I would stay here again.

Our experience was musty, dusty, and dark. I had trouble seeing in the dimly lit hallways. The room was so dusty that my daughter had allergic reactions and did not sleep. The bed and pillow were also very very uncomfortable. The first night's stay was so bad that we checked out and booked another hotel. Room Mate Luca would not refund us, but they gave us some delicious cookies on our way out which to be honest did not make up for the $850 loss.

Great location to restaurants and many attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Agusto checked us in and gave us some amazing local recommendations. I have a very sensitive nose, and the hotel smelled absolutely incredible, which made a great first impression.

We were so pleased with our room. After hopping around Italy, this stay felt like the perfect mix of convenience and affordable luxury. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

The only small downside was that the blackout curtains didn’t fully block out the light, but everything else was truly fantastic.

As soon as we checked into the hotel we had to wait for our room, which was not an issue b/c we arrived early. We did ask the front desk if we could eat b/c according to the Expedia reservation , breakfast was free daily. I thought is was a bit tacky that someone just comes up to you during the time you are placing food on your plate to ask your room number in a very small area compared to larger hotels i have traveled to. The first day a gentleman come up to us twice to ask us our room number and we explained to him that the we check in and the front desk says we are allowed breakfast b/c its free daily . There was a lot of back and forth that i did not appreciate. The transaction starts when they take my money , which should allow us the free breakfast. Also the toilet in the room was broke and door was broke and it not close without having to slam it shut, which made a close by neighbor upset .

Elevator was out of service the entire time of our stay and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs everytime going and coming. We were told after checking in that it was not working and informed it would be fixed the following morning. Ot was not and I believe they knew it. Also the lighting on the floors is really dark and a safety concern. The location is on a main road and about 10 minute walk to a decent restaurant. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel. They do serve breakfast and the staff was friendly though. I would not recommend this hotel

Room Mate Luca is an amazing place! Would highly recommend! Only a 10 minute walk to the center and/or the Duomo. Room was very cozy and clean and well set up. Breakfast was outstanding every morning. Most of all the staff at the front desk were very very helpful, personable and incredible! Solid hotel. Rooms are impossibly small, though perhaps that's the case with most/all hotels in Florence. If you are claustrophobic, this may not be the best option for you; pay attention to listed square footage of room. The fact that there is a laundromat right next door is convenient!

The hotel is clean and breakfast is decent. That’s about it. Rooms are the smallest that I have ever stayed in. We were 3 people in a room made for 1. No room for luggage. The water pressure in the shower was inexistant. The elevator was not working during our stay which was not ideal when we left with 5 luggages to transport down the stairs.

I thought the bare bones of a v good hotel was there, but there were some things that I think could be worked on. Nevertheless I had a nice time and my stay was comfortable. Thoughts on improvements:
- the breakfast was dull - average coffee, basic fruit and basic pastries (amongst other things), but more effort here would really help
- the air con wasn’t perfect - granted it was hot
- the lighting is off - it was SO dark in the halls, and even at times in the room as there were only lights on the walls, not the ceiling
- I thought it was v v odd that there was no access to water in the rooms - no place to fill a bottle (esp in the heat - I wasted SO much plastic buying bottles) and glass bottles weren’t refilled in the day with room service.

This hotel was very clean and perfectly located to walk to everything in Florence. The staff were very polite and our room was ready early, which was an added bonus. They offer water and beverages in the lobby upon arrival. The bathroom is very modern. There were many complimentary goodies in our room (lots of toiletries, water, and even a bottle of wine). I'd definitely stay here again.

Absolutely what you can expect in a tourist trap like Florence, small rooms, not very well ventilated (light weird odor), dark corridors, only thing that saved the property was the good attitude and service of the staff. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel and you should really consider this when booking.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in years. From the time of booking the reception was very responsive, responded to all my questions about our stay in Florence and were just as friendly on our arrival. The room was extremely comfortable and modern. We loved that breakfast was until 12pm each day. Even though the breakfast room was extremely busy, the staff went above and beyond to replenish food, bring me gluten free breakfast items and were just all around delightful. We practically liked that each day housekeeping left us amazing chocolates and bottled water. The front desk was accommodating and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location - away from the busy center but only a short walk to all the amazing sites in Florence. Highly recommend this hotel for any stay in Florence! Thank you for making our stay so nice.

Fantastic hotel staff!!! Very attentive, resourceful and friendly. The free breakfast had great variety and was fresh. The room was a good size and clean. I wish the bathroom was modern and upgraded. It’s a bit outdated. The location is safe and very walkable. I wouldn’t recommend the public transportation in Florence (buses don’t run regularly). Also there’s a ton of restaurants in the area. Stayed 5 nights and have no complaints. Highly recommend Room Mate Luca.

I hate to say anything negative about a business because we mostly had a good experience with the staff at the hotel. The only thing that bothers me is that my 2 earbuds went missing from my room. I waited to write this because I wanted to make sure it was not in my luggage somewhere but unfortunately as I remember, they were on the table in my room while we stayed there. Was honestly hoping that I made a mistake because overall we enjoyed the location.

After deciding to extend our stay, the rates of all the city center hotels were much higher than what we had booked. Not happy with the one we in, and looking for a clean and convenient option, I was very impressed with this. The bed was the most comfortable so far in Italy, the room and property clean and modern but still with the old Italy charm. Front desk staff kind and professional and quick to assist in any way. Street was less busy and crowded as others, but minutes away from where you want to be. If you are undecided among similar priced hotels, you will not regret choosing Room Mate.

Staff was helpful and friendly—David and Eleanora at the front desk, Aman in the breakfast room, and Andre of housekeeping. But there are things that need be improved. Lighting in the room was very poor. I used the stairs, and the black carpet with no marking on the edges with very poor lighting was very dangerous and unacceptable. There weren’t enough towels in the room, but they were provided when I asked. There wasn’t a place or a hook to put towels in the bathroom. The surface of the sink top is tilted, so things I placed there kept sliding and dropping into the sink. Breakfast was delicious.

They had ice. We are Americans and this is important to us. The complimentary \"American Breakfast\" was a valiant effort to provide us with eggs, bacon, juice and toast. They had what, I am sure, they called sausage, but it was actually not. Overall it was a great place with a great staff. Within walking distance of everything in Florence worth seeing. If I ever go back, this is where I will stay.

The hotel is one of the coolest I’ve stayed in and the staff is absolutely amazing! They helped my friends and l with everything we needed, even getting a covid test appointment before our return flights (the clinic is conveniently right next door).
