Convenient place walking distance to most attractions. My main disappointment is there is no parking available. You have to pay from €35-€50 Euros to park. Very small room and the bathroom is shared. Checking in can be a little tricky. I had to stop for a minute and read carefully the instructions texted on WhatsApp. I had to call to understand the process better. Thankfully, the gentleman was clear on how things work for parking and the check in process. If you are driving here, please drop off your companion at the door with the luggage and then find a parking lot.
Another detail is you have to bring your own soap and shampoo for the shower. Other than that, the room is decent. I was there for one night and that was ok for me.

The staff specially Marcello was really a good host with us during the check in process. He explained everything and recommend us nice restaurants around tha area. The only complain was that when i booked the room I did not Notice it said \"Shared Bathrooms\" because when you click the photos you do see bathroom inside the room. But everything was clean and neat.

We booked a room labeled “private shower” I guess shame on me for not realizing toilet was not included in that. The second you walk in there’s a flickering light over head dimly lit and it does not get much better from there on. As we were checking in the concierge was an odd bird and kept making suggestive jokes to my wife. As a traveling American this was not what we were used to it was definitely more of a hostel type environment with shared bathrooms. My wife and I ended up staying with her parents as I ate the cost of this “hotel” because it was so dirty and scary. Ended up booking a separate hotel room for the last night we were there we just couldn’t do it.

Let me preface my review by saying that I have had a knee replacement and have arthritis problems. While the building has an elevator, it’s reserved for resident use only. The stairwell to access the hotel has a hand rail on the elevator side but stairs inside the hotel has no handrail at all. This made climbing the stairs very difficult and unstable for me. We selected the room that included the en-suite bathroom. I am 5’7 and hubby is 6’3”. The toilet is so close to the wall we had to sit on the toilet sideways, as our legs were too long to sit on it straight. Very cramped and tiny. Also, the plug for their hairdryer cannot reach a proper outlet, so unless you have an adaptor for the small plug, it’s useless. It’s an old and inexpensive place, I get it, but it appears to be no reinvesting profits into the hotel. Our bed was extremely hard. Linens were fresh. The staff was great but all things considered we would not stay there again. May be a decent for young travelers with more resilient bones… I woke up every morning aching, before I even stepped out the door. The location is good; close enough to sites yet far enough to have quiet nights.

Do not go here

The only positives about this prison looking hotel is the good aircon and good location. I would not recommend this hotel for various reasons:

Tv didn’t work
Wallpaper peeling off the walls
Bed was squeaky
Pillows are paper thin
Shower had no water pressure
Communal toilet at times didn’t have toilet paper
Power sockets hanging off the walls
Door lock could be easy to break in
No elevator

It’s a clean, spacious, very practical place to stay

I loved the AC ;) we had everything of what we needed , even we had to share a bathroom it wasn’t an inconvenient at all, we had also our own shower inside our room.

I highly recommend this place if you are out and about. Very affordable and practical, location was amazing, stuff… very helpful and polite

When I got the reservation I did not realize that there was nobody at the desk after 8 or 9, and they made me a nervous wreck that I would not be able to get in if I did not get there by 8. Then I got an email saying until 9 would be okay, but then I got another message saying I had to be there by 8. All of which made me concerned. As it turns out I got there significantly before 8 and the man at the desk was very pleasant. You should be aware that this is a walk-up to the second floor and there's no sign just their name on one of the bells out front. The place is very clean and the rooms are reasonably comfortable, but it has no aesthetics.

Elena and her husband were excellent hosts. The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. Elena gave us very good advice for touring Venice and excellent recommendations. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Venice again.

Small room. One pillow, a thin mattress with springs bothering my back. The bathroom hairdryer had no adapter, let alone the iron. I had to go out to buy an adapter to use both the iron and the hotel’s hairdryer. The toilet paper feels like sandpaper.

Easiest hotel to use

My first trip to Florence, well Italy in general. As any traveler from another country I skeptical at first as I wanted to make sure I payed for what I got. I definitely got what I was looking for and much more! Not sure the man’s name working the reception when I got there but he gave us unbelievable recommendations from food, site seeing and bars.

It's near the train station, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions and center. The property looks very old and the signage is very poor. Anyone looking to stay here should look for the number and street name rather than the name of the accommodation. I call it a \"business with no visible sign. Room 11 where we stayed was clean but needs updating. It will not also cost a lot to provide even cheap shower gels. We were supposed to receive an email regarding access to the property on the day of arrival but for some reason we did not get any any. It's either the bell was not working on the door or no one heard us so I had to call a number for them to provide us access. They allow you to leave your luggage for later pick up but not in a room but on the hallway. Will use it again if in Florence in the future? Maybe not.

The hotel’s location is excellent,making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean and warm, and it had a small private bathroom. The front desk staff was very helpful after check-in, providing us with a city map and recommendations for places to visit. The only issue was that when we wanted to take a shower around 9pm, the water was quite cold. Overall, it was a comfortable and centrally located stay.

I stayed there for two night with my son. The location was perfect. So close to everything and lots of dining options. Our beds were comfortable but the pillows were terribly flat. I must have overlooked that we had to share one bathroom per floor with about 4-5 other rooms, which was quite inconvenient if you were up in the night. We did have a shower and sink of our own, which if I was traveling with my husband and not my son would have been ok.
Overall it was a good place to sleep.

The location was good, walkable to Duomo, tours, etc. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was so tiny it was difficult to maneuver in. There is often no staff at the desk. We had no hot water one day, and the staff was unapologetic and didn't seem to even understand why that would be a problem. TO access the rooms, there are many stairs to climb without railings and the lighting is not very good. We saw several elderly people struggling to climb the stairs. There is an elevator, but it's not usable by hotel guests (permanent residents only). Definitely not 8/10 as rated on Expedia!

I could feel the mattress springs poking into my body. I left after the 1st night and paid a 2nd time to stay in a proper hotel.
There is no elevator. I had to carry my heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs.
There are portions of the stairway that are not lighted and therefore very dark and unsafe.
There was 7 inches between the front of the toilet and the wall.
The people were polite and nice.

This property while well located also has some notables. Mainly to access the rooms you must go up 2 long staircases the elevator is not for the use of hotel guests. Also the bathroom is so small that you can take a shower while sitting in the toilet. That washroom not being in the room also present an issue if you need to use the washroom during the night. Once you are aware of these issues then the hotel is ok. Well located you can walk everywhere

I like the quiteness of the hotel. I love the very easy check-in guide sent to me. I was able to check-in when the receptionist was not there. The baggage area is also very safe, I kept my bags there for few hours after check-out. Nice receptionists. Overall its very neat and very OK for that pocket-friendly price. I will definitely come back when next I need a place to stay in Florence.

I had to leave the place in a flash. It was dirty, unsafe. The bed looked like someone had already slept in it.
Tried to get my money back because it felt really unsafe. A stranger opened the front door for me and gave me the code.
Not recommended for female travelers.

I don’t know where to start. The place has electronic access and more surveillance than most hotels. It is a lovely old loggia close to Firenze Sta Maria Novello and a 10 min walk from the heart of Florence. You can’t beat this place. Windows opening to the street. Great, clean shared facilities.

Warning: rooms are great but modest. Do not expect MW or fridge. Otherwise they have all you need to visit this beautiful place.

Daniel was amazing! He spent the time to share lots of details about the surrounding area and communicated clearly in advance of my check-in.
The property is similar to a boarding house or hostel. You may share a bathroom with other travelers. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. It is walkable from the station and convenient to the center. There are cafes nearby. All in all it is a great value for the money

Less of a stay, more like serving time.

It is a one floor walk up in cramped dark stairwell with no elevator. Room was tiny, dark, and felt like a college dorm. Shared bathrooms are not as romantic as it sounds. One bathroom had no hot water, while our room's sink had no cold water.

Very close to the train station, and a 20 minute walk into the heart of Florence attractions. Restaurants close by. Staff extremely helpful, Daniel a fount of information, a virtual tourist expert, very valuable. Highly recommend this place.

Great location

The hotel was very quiet and nice, although we were under the impression a bathroom would be in room they are not. However there are plenty of bathrooms to use and share amongst other guests so it was not an issue. The bed was a bit stiff and pillows at time uncomfortable to sleep but room was nice. TV fire stick did not work. Overall a nice and safe place to stay and convenient location.

in Italy. It was not clean, the bed was terribly uncomfortable as were the only 2 extremely flat pillows we got. The bathroom was so small you could barely sit on the toilet, no warm water, and the shower had mold on the tiles. You could hear every noise in the hallways. It made for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant stay in a really nice city. The only positive was the initial check in concierge was kind and helpful and the location is convenient for walking the city.

We enjoyed our stay here, for the most part. The property is definitely older, and the bathroom was quite small, as is typical in such old cities. Such is the trade-off for the magnificence of Florence. The check-in was trickier than it needed to be, as the front desk is not staffed in the evening when, I imagine, most guests arrive. The hotel sent us the check-in codes the day of our arrival, which was unnecessarily stressful on a travel day without WiFi. It would be so less stressful to have had the check-in information just a few days sooner. Also, the lack of shower soap or shampoo was frustrating for a hotel. Otherwise, a lovely stay with reliable Internet.

Room did not smell clean, booking was not clear that it was a shared bathroom and “breakfast” was paid vending machines.

From the images you may think your room has a bathroom but they are shared in the hall unless you book the suites.

There is little done to reduce noise and you can frequently hear the other guests entering and leaving their rooms throughout the night.

The beds are not comfortable and the AC did work properly.

We recently stayed at this property in Florence for 3 nights, and unfortunately, it was not up to our expectations. The property showed signs of aging and there was visible mold. Moreover, the showers were very small and shared among several guests. When we voiced our concerns and sought a refund, the management did offer us improved rooms with less mold and private bathrooms. While this was a considerate gesture, I would only recommend staying here for a single night, if at all.
