The staff is friendly, the room is clean. The breakfast is great. Area is walkable to every visit spot, very convenient. Only downside is a lot of stair, good for carry on but not for big luggage.

This says 5 steps to reach hotel, it’s 5 FLIGHTS of stairs. Very misleading and deceptive. Someone did help carry bags but it was miserable having to go up and down after walking all day. They should be honest in their description. I would have NEVER booked this hotel if I’d known it required this much stairs.

We loved this hotel. The room was lovely and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was fresh and clean. The people were so nice. The breakfast was good and quaint. There is no elevator and there are two flight of stairs to get to the hotel, however upon arrival, the staff carried our suitcases up and when checking out, the staff carried our suitcases down the stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is on the third floor, you will need to climb 6 flights. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it will be for those with health issues. There’s no elevator. This is the only negative point. The rest about this Boutique Hotel is only positive. I’m not sure why this hotel has only one star. I would easily give them at least three stars! Super clean, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, very quiet. I would definitely recommend if you prefer to stay away from the noisy, touristy streets of Florence. We walked from this hotel everywhere; so if you like walking, this place is perfect. Will stay there again!

The staff is very friendly and kind, however the hotel is, in my opinion, incredibly overpriced for what it offers. Three flights of stairs with our luggage was difficult. Rocco did help us with the bags on arrival, but our checkout was not during front desk working hours. There is no 24 hour front desk staff, which I thought was strange, and we needed assistance on our last night due to our taxi cancelling, and front desk had left for the day. The room is fine, nothing special. Good location. Breakfast was ok, but underwhelming compared to what I expected based on the reviews I had read. I think there are much better options in the area at the same price point.

This property was extremely clean! And staff was amazing!!! The breakfast was more than i had expected and was wonderful! Only two things to note. There is no room safe and you have to climb 55 steps to get to the rooms. Which isnt uncommon in Italy but be aware if you have trouble climbing and hauling suitcases.

Lovely, boutique pension within walking distance of Accademia (the David) which is why we stayed here. It's not far to walk to main area of Florence. The pension is basically one floor in a residential building. You have to walk up a couple of flights of stairs to get there. They did help with the bags, unlike our first hotel in Rome, which we appreciated. The staff is friendly and there is a very good breakfast with nice lady who makes your coffee and tea, etc...
I recommend this place if you don't want to be right downtown and you don't have mobility issues.

The owner is a delightful young florentine man ready to help out with any request including restaurant recommendation. The Hotel is super clean occupying the top floor of a very central building literally around the corner from the Galleria dell’ Accademia.

The hotel itself is very nice and looks recently remodeled. Breakfast is offered right next to the reception and has good offerings. Building access is easy although it is up some stairs (55 or so). Rooms are clean and updated, but a bit on the smaller side. The location is about 5 minutes from the Accademia dell'Arte (David statue) but 10 to the Duomo. Food options are also about 5 minutes away and increase as you get closer to the Duomo area. Overall nice hotel on a quiet street, but a bit out of the action so be comfortable with some walking.

We had a fantastic stay at Boutique Hotel Hugo! The location was great, just 10mins walk from the Duomo but quiet at night. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Rocco and the staff were really welcoming and breakfast was very nice with a selection of pastries, savoury sandwiches and good coffee.
The hotel is up a couple of flights of stairs, so I couldn't recommend it for anyone who might have trouble with mobility, but it was fine for us and Rocco helped us with our suitcase when we arrived.
Overall, a perfect base for our trip to Florence!

The room is cozy and nice. The wifi was great and fast. However, the wall was a bit thin so I can hear a lot of “stuff” when there are people next door. Also, for some weird reason there are many mosquitos in my room. Otherwise, my stay was very pleasant and comfy. The guy at the front desk was absolutely amazing. I would stay there again if I visit florence again.

Hotel was well positioned , make sure you check out parking if you are driving to Florence due to the traffic restrictions etc . The hotel offers two options.
Would have been better if there was a constant presence on the reception desk but not sure if this was due to COVID - the bar/ breakfast area wasn’t open at all but the hotel was clean quiet and comfortable - just keep in mind there is no lift and three flights of stairs to carry your bags up.

Rocco and his staff was one of the nicest people we met in Italy. So attentive to all of our needs. There is 4 flights of stairs to get to the hotel and Rocco helped us up the stairs, made sure we had water and any food we needed for breakfast. He pointed out a few good restaurants while we were in Florence (they were awesome and priced decently). The hotel itself is actually positioned in the best place. It's far enough that you don't hear the crowds of people are il duomo but it's close enough that you're only 5 minutes away from it.

Everything was perfect! The room was so much smaller than advertised. The thermostat did not work. There were gnats flying around constantly and finally, these rooms are in an apartment building occupied by other tenants. It’s not actually a hotel at all. Last couple of things, no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up three flights of unlit stairs. Again, not at all as advertised.

Ten minutes walk to the Duomo, comfortable room (would have loved a chair to sit in to read). Walls thin so can hear people talking in next room but if you have earplugs no problem. I felt safe and happy there, breakfast was good, service always with a smile. I would recommend it.

We loved this boutique hotel in Florence. Our room was always clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. They even brought out the big coffee cups when we said we were tired from a long day in Rome the day before. They also arranged an early morning cab to catch our early flight home.
