Once home of the Ricasoli family, the inventors of Chianti wine, the renovated building is located in Piazza della Libertà neighbourhood, 15 minutes stroll from historical city centre filled with galleries, boutiques, bakeries and world class landmarks. The Staff at the Hoxton were very nice, enjoyed chatting with them, and they answered all questions. They helped arrange a very early taxi pickup - 4 am. The outdoor patio area was one of my favorites. I enjoyed the outdoors while sipping a prosecco or reading on the very comfy furniture. The attached restaurant was very good - a little pricey.

We had a lovely stay at The Hoxton. Beautifully furnished throughout, with an amazing bathroom and fab courtyard area for drinks. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and were very welcoming. The location is slightly out of the main town but means it’s nice and quiet and there are a few cafes around that feel very local and authentic. We’d definitely stay here again if we returned to Florence!

For reference, we are a young couple and are well travelled.
I can't recommend this hotel enough honestly.
- Staff: SO FRIENDLY! So informal, helpful, funny, and trying their best to help customers. Every staff member was smiling and just awesome! Kudos to the hotel management for training such an amazing staff.
- Room: super clean, we checked the toilet, shower and for dust, but it was clean and sorted. The esthetics were cute and home-like. The shower is HUGE! There are hot waters \"on command\". The bed is amazing, the pillows were slightly too soft for me but it's just a personal preference. The room is huge btw! I recommend to upgrade to the bigger room if possible!
- breakfast: the eggs are soooo good! And the rest of the food was good as well.
- Facilities: the hotel has a nice sitting area to relax, drink coffee, inside cafe and outside area.

Overall, I can't recommend this hotel enough especially thanks to the staff, 100% will come back and would recommend this to friends and family

In peak winter when it's about 0 or - degrees, the AC/heating in the room need to be kept on like 28 degrees for the temperature in the room to be nice, especially at night. Or ask for another duvet.

Depends on each person's tolerance for heat and cold though I guess.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hoxton Florence. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was spotless and beautifully designed. We booked a room with a terrace and an outdoor tub. While we didn’t use the tub since it was winter, we absolutely loved spending time on the terrace. December weather in Florence was gorgeous, lots of sun and comfortable with just a light jacket during the day.

The view from the terrace isn’t much to write home about since the walls are quite high, so you mostly see the sky (and a few construction cranes), but it still felt peaceful and private.

Breakfast was excellent and well worth paying extra for. We wanted to avoid the hassle of finding a breakfast spot each morning, and this made things easy. They offer a buffet, but you can also order hot plates like avocado toast, eggs, bacon, and more—everything we tried was delicious.

The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave great recommendations. We didn’t use public transportation at all and walked everywhere. The location is great if you don’t mind a 15–30 minute walk, which honestly is part of the magic of Florence—you’ll stumble upon hidden gems along the way.

The only downside: when you flush the toilet, it tends to splash upward, so definitely close the lid before flushing.

Overall, a lovely stay and a hotel we’d happily return to.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel.

Unfortunately, I did not receive the room I booked — I had reserved a balcony room, but was instead given a ground-floor room. The reception staff were not very friendly or welcoming, especially in comparison to the team at The Hoxton in Rome, who were professional, warm, and incredibly helpful.

The room itself was disappointing: it felt dusty, the floor didn’t seem to have been properly cleaned, and there was a spider web on the ceiling. On my last night, I even found a spider on my bed. Overall, I couldn’t wait to check out.

The only positive was the location, which was about a 25-minute walk to the main square. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.

The hotel, the room and the various spaces inside and outside look lovely. The room was also very confortable. However, the let down is service. Breakfast staff dont seem to have any clue what they are doing and (except for the older gentleman) came across as borderline rude. Previous evening in the bar, similar lack of understanding of what is everyone's job was observed. Management attention is needed on allocating roles and responsibilities and training staff.

This hotel is located in a ZTL zone so only specific cars or taxis are allowed to take you to the front. We had a car rental car during our stay to get to the outlets, and the property owner was kind enough to take a photo of the license plate each day to ensure we would not be ticketed for driving through the ZTL. The room was cozy and check-in was smooth.

The water in the shower was slow to drain but that was our only issue. The front desk receptionist was kind enough to share some restaurant recommendations for us to try. The hotel is walking distance to major attractions and we would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel, located perfectly if you want to explore history Florence by foot but don’t want to be immediately in the heart of it. We walked easily to most locations in 25-30 min. The rooms were clean and nice quality. We would stay here again. A few pointers to make this a better 4-Star hotel:
Temperature in the room was high and made it hard to sleep. AC seemed to not work well. Couldn’t open windows because it let in mosquitoes.
Staff being dressed as casual guests made it somewhat difficult to determine who was working.
Cafe experience was mixed. Seemed like they were new or overwhelmed. Friendly people but food took a long time and not just once.

Got there mid night and we were told we had to carry our own suitcase ourselves that they don’t offer that service ! No house slippers , no house coat ! Just two bottles of water for minibar ! Stayed at iQ in August ! Amazing amazing hotel

Great hotel! Loved loved loved it! Excellent staff. Clean room. Great breakfast, bar and restaurant. Close to everything and easy to walk to historic sites. Great wine! Kuddos to Daniel who always called our taxii. He was so helpful very customer focused. I will be back! Great place oh and great terrace that is beautiful and has a bar and appetizers. Highly recommend great hotel!

The rooms I booked were the most uncomfortable rooms with a ned on a second floor and the bathroom on the first floor. The stairs to get down are quite dangerous. I talked to the front desk and told them to make our room. I got to the room at night and the room was not made. I called front desk and said that they had a problem with the system.

The outside courtyard was so lovely, perfect for an evening cocktail. Location good, you can walk into the centre of Florence within 15 mins.

Not really the luxury they are going for so good hotel but not at the price point they charge. Excellent shower but bathroom cabinet was damaged very visibly. The safe didn’t work. The lift didn’t work on our way out so we had to carry our suitcases down a couple of flights of stairs. They really could use a pool in the garden . The outdoor bar was pleasant enough but the drinks are expensive, London prices really. We also got lots of mosquito bites in our room which was very unpleasant as I succeeded in avoiding mosquitoes in the countryside for a week prior. I love Florence but would probably go somewhere else next time as this is not worth £300/night
