Very happy with this hotel for our one-night stay in Florence. The helpful lady at reception kindly pre-ordered us a taxi for our early morning departure. Bed was comfortable and there were a good number of choices for breakfast, including a variety of fresh warm croissants.

From a location standpoint there are no complaints. It was close to public transportation when needed and a reasonable walk to virtually everywhere we wanted to go to.

The room however was unforgivingly small. You couldn't properly unpack your luggage to get to everything you needed to given the space limitations. In addition to that the air conditioning was weak and the wifi was unprotected, slow, and often unavailable. The bed was a split mattress and sub par in terms of getting a comfortable night's sleep. They did offer a solid complimentary breakfast spread but one of the mornings we were there an attendant was constantly pestering people as they arrived about where to sit which wasn't needed at all. They also kept reaching across the table while we were eating to grab plates and glasses they thought we didn't need anymore which was really intrusive as well. People can easily find which tables are open and the tables can be cleared once everyone has left the table.

The hotel is a 15 min walk from downtown, and a 10 min walk or 3 tram stops (7 min) from the main train station. We had the family suite on the top floor and were overall pleased. However, the AC was fair at best ( maybe it was 78-80 F inside) with the air blasting, but it was also extremely hot at 97F outside in July during a heat wave. The hotel has room air conditioning only, but this is typical for Italy. So buyer beware if you’re sensitive the heat and it’s mid-summer. The breakfast was good and typical for Europe. But the breakfast lady is a little particular about where you sit and has something to say if you come to eat too close to ending time at 10am. It was off putting at first but she grew on us after a few days.

Our room was an economy room, which was very small. Advertised as 25 m², I would guess more like 11 m². However, we were not in Florence to sit in our room so it didn’t matter. The buffet breakfast was exceptional. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Excellent location for walking to major sites and still not feeling the crush of the tourists! Money well spent.

We had no air conditioning. We checked in at 7:30pm and waited till 10:40 pm for the room to cool down but realized Air conditioning wasn’t working. I went downstairs and spoke to the front desk person. He said he can’t do anything about it as it was late. We had a terrible night sleeping. I want my money to be returned.

Nice hotel within easy access to all of Florence's attractions. Clean and comfortable. Only issue was that we had clicked off 'Parking' and it was listed as available which was one of the reasons for selecting the hotel. Did not realize until arrival that 'available' didn't necessarily mean included or on-site. It was reasonably priced (15 Euro/24hr) but about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Decent location in what felt like a safe area though probably wise to not walk from train station late at night. Hotel Bonifacio is a well located, well maintained hotel, just inside the border of the old city, but close enough to convenient parking, that made it for us an excellent option as we were driving a rental. Getting in front of the hotel can be tricky because you need to pass the Limited Zone Traffic cameras or ZTL, but that is no problem because you report your tag to the front desk and they give you a temporary free ZTL pass. They only give it to you at check in and at check out for unloading/loading your stuff. Hotel Bonifacio is at walking distance of Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi and other landmarks. They include a nice breakfast at a lovely backyard. The front desk guys were courteous and accommodating.

This was the second time I stayed at Hotel Bonifacio. That says something right there. It's a little over a kilometer from either the main train station or the Duomo. That's the center of things in Florence. The rooms are very quiet, and can be dark if you want to sleep late. Very adequate breakfast, better most in this class of hotel. It'll get your day off to a good start. The staff is friendly, efficient, and very helpful. My hats off to Signore Ivan, the manager for instilling his friendly attitude in the entire staff. Great place in Firenza.

First--my only complaint about this hotel would be the wifi. The wifi was extremely slow and wouldn't work often--I simply gave up on it. Other than that, our stay at Hotel Bonifacio was great. The staff was nice and helpful, and the room was clean. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The only thing that was very far was Piazzale Michelangelo, but the hotel staff had recommended taking a bus to go here, anyway. About an 18 minute walk to the train station.

The location of the hotel is fantastic! Easy walk to all the things you want to see, all the places you want to eat or for the station to go else where. Room was nice, standard double, but the bed was two singles put together leaving a ridge in the middle. Only other comment is the walls let in the noise from other rooms, particularly some children from a few doors down. Nice selection at breakfast and plenty of room to enjoy it. Friendly and helpful staff and would definitely consider this hotel if/when going to Florence again

The breakfast had a good selection of choices from eggs, crepes, croissants and fruits. A 15 minute walk to city center. Parking challenging when travelling by car in Florence but hotel staff gave good suggestions where to park. Would recommend anything.

the hotel is a bit rundown but clean... bed was comfortable but what really ruined our stay here is the ac was not working in AUGUST and the staff cant do anything about it except provide us with a pathetic fan. we even asked the receptionist to check our ac bec upon entering our room... it was stuffy with the ac on. the receptionist checked it and said it’s working and claimed that they just turned it on about an hour ago....should have known better... If you want to stay in this hotel during the summer..... just make sure your ac is working for it will really ruin your stay in Florence...

Had wonderful time, Great place to stay. Extremely friendly staff and very helpful. Room was lovely, very clean, and comfortable. The bathroom had great shower, and a lot of hot water. We enjoyed the breakfast, and they even had a pan cake machine. I was blown over! It was a buffet style, and wonderful, with various fresh breads and fantastic coffee. We are going back next winter. The weather was good, too.

The hotel is a no-frills old Roman-style hotel in a typical Roman building. Bathroom is too small and not modern. The three-person room for our stay was overall small. The safe/locker was too small. The breakfast was decent. The LCD TV is too small and did not have English channels. But the staff was friendly and could speak in English. We could catch buses and minivans easily. The city attractions are at walkable distances. But we visited in late december and it was quite cold. We also found a few good restaurants nearby including a nice Indian restaurant. But the hotel needs great face-lift especially in the rooms as the rooms seems to be quite old compared to those in modern hotel chains.

We ahd a good time staying at Hotel Bonifacio, it was near to all the shopping and food areas. They were within walking distance of 15mins. The gardens on teh other side of Florence were a little further but the walk thru' the town to reach the garden was more than worth it.

Stayed here with a friend for a wedding. Perfect position for walking around Florence. You couldn't ask for nicer and more helpful staff. The only downside was that the A/C wasn't proper A/C and was only allowed on in the afternoon so the nights were very warm!

The hotel is around 1.6km away from the train station. If you are not used to walking, it's quite a distance to travel. The hotel wifi is not workable at my room, so it's depends on your luck! My toilet light is not functioning but fixed on the next day. The big mirror in the room fixing right infront of the bed, it's scary. Overally is ok.
