The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were offered a welcome drink at check in. Breakfast was ample with cereals, fresh fruit, bread/toast, cold meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages etc. It is on a slight hill but you can use the lift at Hotel Cavtat which is handy. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will return.

Very friendly and well located hotel in Cavtat.

Villa Royal is very conveniently located close to the beach and the picturesque port of Cavtat. A short boat ride from Dubrovnik so a good location for those who don't want to stay in Dubrovnik but be within easy reach. It is a charming village. A big attraction for us was that it was close to the airport and so very convenient if arriving late or only briefly in the area. We found the hosts at Villa Royal very friendly, our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast very adequate. We would definitely stay again.

Great location and a really nice place to stay. Just 10 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes walk from down town. The location is 1st class. The price is good. Two things we did not love: 1. There was no lift / elevator so carrying cases was hard for me! 2. The main room had a smell of stale smoke. Not so pleasant. Otherwise the place was awesome and I would stay there again.

Air conditoning a must.

Very hot for all 7 nights of our stay. Impossible without air conditioning that worked great. WiFi little inconsistent that became frustrating. Staff great. Breakfast sufficient. Very tranquil setting with superb view. Using lift with Hotel Cavtat greatly appreciated. Cavtat is real jewel.

Lovely 3 bedroom apartment close to town / beach.

we stayed in this apartment on a bed and breakfast basis for 2 nights after arriving at dubrovnik airport. it was a short walk into Cavtat town to look around and it was easy to take a boat to visit Dubrovnik. The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable with great views and was very well equipped.

Nice helpful staff at Villa Royal

Nice clean room with a balcony. We had a fridge which was an added bonus. Breakfast was included and a nice selection of food. It was under the flight path of the airport so you sit outside and view the different planes going overhead. The villa was a 10 minute walk into the town of Cavtat.

Nothing major wrong with this accomodation

Easy access to bus station and ocean from this location. One of the receptionists was helpful but the other one was not interested in her role. I recommend booking your airport taxi through the hotels local driver. He was on time and friendly.
I have a suspicion I was double charged for the daily tourist tax which is collected by the hotel. 1 Euro per person per day. I had a taxi waiting and didn't wish to argue the point. On principle I will query this with Hotels.com when I return to Australia.

We wanted a room close to Dubrovnik airport because we had a very early flight the following morning. The place was spacious and was located near downtown Cavtat which is a neat little town. I was able to walk to pick up pizzas for dinner since we were exhausted from our 2 week trip.

My only complaint was that I requested a wake-up call and there was no followup.

Final night before flying out

It is convenient if you are flying out the next day. The airport is literally 6km away and you will reach in 10 minutes max.

The hotel is definitely not charming, rooms are clean and you can sleep fine. It is not a place you want to spend any more time that.

The town of Cavtat is very pleasant and well worth a visit.

Excellent!!!

We arrived and were warmly greeted and offered a warm beverage while we were checked in. The staff was so friendly and went out of their way to make it feel homey. Breakfast was wonderful. Our room was clean with fresh linens on the bed. I loved it! My spouse speaks Croatian, but they spoke english with me, which was not necessary, but greatly appreciated. Overall, wonderful experience.

Good Cavtat location

Less than 5 minutes walk from center of Cavtat but still without any noice from trafic, this hotel is an ideal place to stay.
I was greeted by a very sweet and friendly receptionist. She recommended a good restaurant for late dinner and was back on duty for breakfast the next morning.
A very good experience.

Room was nothing fancy, but clean and nice with a little balcony. Paid less then half the price of the fancier hotels that my friends stayed at. Rooms where almost better at the Villa Royal but no view. My friends barely had a view in their places!

VERY DISAPPOINTING

I booked into this hotel for 2 nights via the internet but was surprised that my room didn't come up to expectations. We were given a room in the eves of the building without a proper window only a skylight but I was told it was the only one available and I didn't pursue. When open, it overhung into the room, overlapping the wardrobe doors and I hit my head quite badly on the first evening
The sheets on the bed were not ironed and looked as if they had been in a spin dryer and then left to dry off. It was difficult to tell whether or not they had been changed and they were most uncomfortable and were a mismatched set. The pillows were awful - small and lumpy and the bed creaked at every turn. The mismatched towels in the shower room felt like sandpaper as they were stiff and rough.
The shower had a shower head but it didn't have the wall attachment, so couldn't be used in the conventional way. Breakfast was better than I expected for this level of accommodation but they had only one English Breakfast tea bag in the box and they didn't bother to buy any more for the following breakfast. The only options were coffee and fruit teas, non of which I like. The positive of this hotel is that it is a short walk from the restaurants and sea front.

Great location, staff was very friendly, however the breakfast was not very good as t was the same everyday and not up to standard, I would of prefer to pay for just room only and eat breakfast out as it was that bad. The room was not sound proof as stated, so you can hear noise from fellow guests, overall not a bad hotel.

The apartment was really handy to the beach and town. We stayed in one of the larger apartments. It was really clean when we arrived but unfortunately was only cleaned once during the week. We had to ask for fresh towels although staff were happy to give us them. We had a kitchenette but luckily we had not planned to cook as it was not fully equipped. There were plates and bowls but only 2 glasses for 4 of us and absolutely no cutlery. I heard other guests complain that they thought they were in a room with a kitchen but did not have one.Breakfast was typical continental fayre and was fine. Staff were always very helpful and courteous.

Very good value for money. Within 10 minutes drive of Dubrovnik airport and less than 5 minute stroll into Cavtat centre where you can catch buses or boats into Dubrovnik. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful, the room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. We had a one bed apartment for 5 which, although we were only staying for one night, would have been more than adequate for our needs in terms of space and comfort had we been staying longer

Saapuessamme respa ei ollut auki, vaikka oltiin ilmoitettu olevan auki 23.00 asti. Respan oveen oltiin vain jätetty paperilappu, missä ilmoitettiin mikä huone ja mistä avain löytyy, mutta avainkaan ei löytynyt sieltä mistä oltiin luvattu. Lisäksi oli sekoilua huoneiden kanssa. Huoneen päivittäinen siivous oli hieman huono, eikä esim. lakanoita vaihdettu kertaakaan majoituksemme aikana. Saatiin kuitenkin nopeasti yhteys henkilökuntaan, ja asiat järjestyi. Työntekijät itsessään ystävällisiä, ja saimme asiallista palvelua. Sympaattinen pieni hotelli.

Kiva, pieni hotelli. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Aamiaisella oli tarjolla perustuotteet. Äänieristys terassinovessa hyvä, mutta käytävästä ja jopa naapurin television äänet kuuluivat vähän häiritsevästi. Lentokoneet ei meitä juurikaan häirinneet. Ilmastointi ja oma jääkaappi oli hyvä lisä. Kiva, että isomman hotellin läpi sai oikaista rantaan.

Ich bewerte hier das gebuchte APARTMENT des Hotels Royal. Das 3 Raum Apartment ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, das sieht man besonders an den alten Badezimmern. Aber es wird alles in gutem Zustand gehalten. Kleine Mängel wurden sofort behoben! Beim Frühstück ist wenig Auswahl, aber man wird satt und von dem wenigen ist genug da. Die jungen Damen die dort arbeiten sind Spitze! Wir würden wieder dort buchen!

Helt okej privat boende, precis det man kan förvänta sig, varken mer eller mindre. Lugnt och skönt, en stund från badplatserna men samarbete med hotell i närheten så man kan ta hissen ner till gatan och slipper gå runt. Trevlig personal, okej frukost, kaffet sådär. Städas dagligen. Sämsta med vistelsen är bristen på riktiga stränder i staden (de flesta är betongstränder) samt att boendena generellt är alldeles för dyra för standarden.

Nur zu empfehlen!

Wir waren zu viert (2 E/2 K) und hatten ein sehr geräumiges Studio mit 2 abgetrennten Zimmern mit 2 Bädern. Alles sauber und nach Wunsch wurde jeden Tag das Zimmer gemacht. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig mit feinem Brot, Rührei etc. Das Zentrum in der Altstadt mit Rest. und Läden sind in ein paar Minuten erreichbar ebenso die Steinstrände. Alle sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Wir haben einen sehr schlnen Urlaub verbracht!

Hyggelig hotell i gangavstand til Cavtat sentrum

Vi hadde to hyggelige netter på Villa Royal. Hotellet ligger sentralt (ca. 5 minutter fra Cavtat sentrum). Frokosten var kjempegod og betjeningen svært hyggelig. Rommene var rene, men det var sølvkre på baderomsflisene. Bortsett fra dette hadde vi en veldig positiv opplevelse med hotellet. Cavtat anbefales absolutt som reisemål!

Very nice and friendly

Staff was fantastic, supernice and friendly. The hotel had a few years on its back, but nothing you can complain about from our point of view.
Breakfast was a little thin, but it's a small place and it was good enough. Would have loved to see more local breakfast foods, but I suppose other guests would whine then. :P
Overall we were quite pleased and happy!

Hotelli oli erittäin mukava, pienehkö ja rauhallinen. Huoneissa oli joko parveke tai oma pieni piha. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja neuvoivat mitä kysyttävää ikinä olikaan. Englannilla tuli hyvin toimeen. Hotellilta pääsi hyvin Cavtatin keskustaan ja rannoille. Kävimme Dubrovnikissa kaksi kertaa, bussilla sekä veneellä. Molemmilla oli helppo matkustaa ja upeita maisemia pääsi ihailemaan laajemmin.
Kävimme syyskuun ensimmäisellä viikolla ja lämpöä riitti vielä joka päivälle n. 30 astetta. Uimaan pääsi joko kallioilta tai yleisiltä uimarannoilta, vesi oli lämmintä ja kirkasta.
Suosittelemme, paikka oli todella kaunis ja ihmiset ystävällisiä.

Séjour 15 jours en Croatie et 1er hotel pris proche de l'aéroport. Cavtat petite ville sympathique et animée.
Chambre tout confort pour 4, bon accueil, pkg gratuit et un emplacement réservé pour la voiture de location car à cette période les place son chère, il n'y a pas de la place pour tout le monde, petit déjeuner correct. Hotel situé en hauteur et petire astuce donnée prendre l'escalier de l'hotel cavtat situé à 200 m pour descendre en centre ville.

Hyvä pienehkö hotelli, jonka parvekkeelta avautuu upea vuoristomaisema. Sijainti on hyvä, lupa käyttää Hotel Cavtatin hissiä rantakadulle menoon, oikaisee hyvin. Hotellille tultaessa henkilökunnnan edustaja esitteli kartalta tärkeimmät kohteet, tämä oli hyvä asia. Huoneessa oli myös jääkaappi, joka ei ole aivan joka hotellissa itsestäänselvyys.

Rauhallinen hotelli perhelomailuun

Hotelli oli rauhallinen, huoneessa tilaa kolmelle, jääkaappi, keittolevy ja astioita jonkin verran. Huoneestamme oli hieno maisema vuorille ja merikin näkyi sivusuunnasta. Aamupala oli hyvä, mieleisensä kahvin sai valita automaatista. Henkilökunta kohteliasta ja avuliasta, kuljetus lentokentälle järjestyi näppärästi ja saimme lainaksi rantapyyhkeen koko viikoksi kun hukkasimme yhden omistamme.

Meitä oli kolme aikuista samassa huoneessa ja kaikki toimi oikein hyvin. Ilmastointilaite oli todella noilla helteillä tarpeen, vaikkakin se puhalsi nukkuessa suoraan luihin ja ytimiin.
Todella ystävällinen henkilökunta, siisti ja tilava huone.
Mitä jäi vähön kaipaamaan, oli tietenkin uima-allasalue, joka olisi ollut mukava poislähtöpäivänä, kun hellettä oli +35, ja ei mahdollisuutta suihkuun tai peseytymiseen. Käytin röyhkeästi tällöin naapurihotellin - Hotel Cavtat'in - allasta ja suihkua hyväkseni.

Yövyimme hotellissa 5 yötä, ja kaikki odotukset täyttyivät. Hotellin sijainti on erinomainen rauhaa kaipaavalle: päättyvän tien varrella, muutaman minuutin kävelymatka venesatamaan, skootterivuokraamoon, ravintoloihin ja myös upeita kalliorantoja kävelymatkan päässä. Aamiainen oli riittävä ja henkilökunta hyvin ystävällinen. Tässä hotellissa on hinta-laatusuhde kohdallaan!

Cavtat och Villa Royal var en perfekt start för vår Krotien-roadtrip. Småskaligt och personligt hotell på gångavstånd ner till byn och båtarna till Dubrovnik. Cavtat är mysigt med många restauranger, bo här istället för i Dubrovnik!

Hotelli vastasi odotuksia. Huone oli todella tilava ja siisti. Saapuessamme hotelliin meille pidettiin tervetulodrinkkien yhteydessä pieni esittely kulkuyhteyksistä (bussi, vesitaksi) aikatauluineen ja saimme samalla alueen kartan. Lisäksi suositeltiin paikallista ravintolaa. Aamiainen oli perus pienen hotellin aamupala munakkaineen hedelmineen ja mysleineen. Leipä oli tuoretta ja kahvi hyvää. Hotellin sijainti on hyvä lyhyt matka keskustaan ja helppo löytää ravintolat, bussipysäkit ym. Viereisen suuren hotellin kanssa oli sovittu että Villa Royalin asiakkaat saavat käyttää heidän hissiään joka oli hyvä oikoreitti rannalle. Palvelu pelasi, ja saimme kyydityksen loman päätteeksi lentokentälle hotellin autolla (maksoi 100 kunaa). Hyvä hotelli niille jotka käyvät lomallaan hotellissa vain nukkumassa ja syömässä aamiaisen.

Hyvän palvelun hotelli

Hotellin palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä. Kaikkiin kysymyksiin ja ongelmiin pyrittiin vastaamaan, sekä pieniä extrapalveluita sai pyytämällä. Hotellin sijainti Cavtatin keskustaan nähden hyvä. Aamiainen pelkistetty, mutta riittävä. Suosittelen heille, jotka eivät vietä aikaansa hotellilla. Nukkuminen ja peseytyminen onnistuu täällä varsin hyvin, toki lentokenttämelu on herkkäuniselle ehkä liikaa.

Erinomaista palvelua

Pysähdyimme hotellissa vain yhdeksi yöksi ennen paluuta Suomeen, koska hotelli sijaitsee kätevästi lentokentän lähellä. Hotelli on perus kolmen tähden hotelli, mutta palvelu oli viiden tähden arvoista. Olimme reippaasti etuajassa, mutta saimme huoneen jo ennen normaalia huoneenluovutusaikaa. Lisäksi eteemme tuotiin tervetuliaisjuomina kahvia ja mehua. Huone oli varsin tilava, mutta sängyn alla oli pölyä melko reilusti. Jääkaappi oli iso, samoin parveke varsin tilava. Aamiainen oli ihan riittävä ja erityisesti munakokkeli erinomaista. Puitteet aamiaisen syömiselle olivat ahtaat. Käytännössä pöydät ovat respan aulassa ja ulkona. Jos huone siivottaisiin tarkemmin, voisimme mennä hotelliin uudelleenkin edullisen hinnan takia. Jos budjetti olisi väljempi, valitsisimme paremman hotellin.

Hyvä palvelu, siisti pieni hotelli

Henkilökunta oli todella ystävällinen ja auttavainen!
Hyvä sijainti, tosin liikuntarajoitteiselle mäki voi olla haastava.
Aamiainen oli maukas, gluteeniton ruokavalio oli huomioitu, siitä iso plussa.
