This hostel location was convenient and the staff super friendly. However, the room was in an incredible state of disrepair, and clearly whoever cleans the rooms doesn’t report what is broken. The toilet flush needed to be continuously pressed because it was broken. One of the shower doors was falling, which made it impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. The TV was faulty and wouldn’t turn off, so I had to mute the volume in order to sleep at night. The doors to the balcony were so loose that there was a cold draft, and we could hear the street noise. Also, there is only one lift serving this very large building, so you might have to wait a long time if you are carrying heavy luggage and cannot use the stairs. Overall I believe this hostel is low value for money until they care about maintenance.

What was not great:
- check in took over 30 minutes of waiting.

- It's very noisy at night, you can hear very loud trucks and road works/beeping from the early hours of the morning 5am onwards

-I left the 'do not disturb' sign on my door and when I returned the sign was gone and someone had been in my room. While I appreciate they tidied it, I'd left the sign out so the room would be left alone.

Overall I had a good stay here, the location is perfect for walking all over Florence, and a short walk from train station. Theres lots of amenities and all types of people stayed here, families, Professional singles etc.however on my first night I stayed in a mixed dorm and was woken up by a man pulling my legs and screaming at me. So that was scary. They moved me to my own room after that.

We stayed in a dorm, which was overall very clean. With the windows open it can be a bit loud outside so closed windows is recommended. Personally didn’t like making our own bed but it’s a dorm so not a huge deal. Also they had body soap dispenser in the shower but always empty. And bathroom toilet paper never got replaced when the room got cleaned up after person would leave which is really my only negative thing I have to say about the cleaning of the room. Location was great and walkable to most attraction within 12-30mins walks. Plenty of restaurant options around and some shopping available near by. Overall I’d recommend to others. Thanks for a good stay.

I stayed here with my 10-year-old daughter, just the two of us. This was our favorite hotel of the three that we stayed during our Europe trip. I loved the opportunity to introduce her to the concept of a hostel. The pool area was fantastic, as were the hangout areas near the pool. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous, though we didn’t spend much time up there. The breakfast was delicious and an excellent value. The rooms were clean and quiet and very comfortable. The restaurant food was not amazing, but really very good, a solid option if you don’t want to go out for the evening.

Very pleasant

- I had a great stay at this hostel.
- It is just a 15-minute walk from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station—I had a backpack and a carry-on suitcase, and the walk was very manageable.
- Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- The 6-bed room was clean and spacious enough to comfortably fit three bunk beds. Remember to bring your own padlock, 30 mm.
- Shared bathroom was roomy, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic.
- Central air conditioning worked well, which made a big difference during the summer heat.
- Since I stayed during the summer, there were quite a few school groups and teenagers around, which made it a bit noisy at times—but it was totally understandable given the season and atmosphere.
- Breakfast was available for a fee and offered a variety of fresh and satisfying options each morning.
- Laundry facilities were very convenient, especially for a longer stay—just make sure to read the instructions carefully before using the machines.
- Storage facility was another big plus: it felt very secure, with each piece of luggage tagged with a numbered ticket. Staff are always present to ensure belongings are only picked up by the rightful owner. Just make sure not to lose your ticket.

This property was definitely the biggest hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and it showed. Not necessarily a bad thing! Just full of people. The amenities were very nice, being a restaurant and a few bars inside the property. It did take over an hour to check in though, as it was so busy. The bathrooms inside the shared rooms were not very clean, and I was holding my breath every time I went in. Other than that, an absolutely beautiful hostel in a good part of town and definitely a deal for the price.

Disappointing Experience Despite Promising Amenities

This hostel seems to cater well to students and travelers who enjoy a communal, hostel-style environment. On paper, the amenities appear great — a nice range for budget-conscious guests. However, once you arrive, you quickly realize that many of the amenities have very limited hours. This is inconvenient for travelers who spend their days exploring the city and would prefer to use these facilities in the evening, not during the middle of the day.

More importantly, the staff experience was extremely disappointing. There’s a noticeable lack of hospitality and customer service. Staff often come across as entitled and dismissive, and interactions left me feeling disrespected. If you’re used to a basic level of professionalism, courtesy, or even a welcoming environment, this might not be the right place for you. At times, it felt like we were being treated more like high school students than paying guests.

Our room was basic, which we expected. However, it lacked sufficient wall plugs, the AC unit was ineffective, and we even experienced a power outage. When we brought this up, we were told there were “too many devices” plugged into a single outlet — not exactly a comforting or helpful response.

Overall, there’s clearly a lack of involvement or oversight from management. Older rooms need serious updating, and staff could benefit from proper hospitality training.

FAV HOSTEL EVER! LOVED IT.

Wow this hostel was truly an all-inclusive experience. We got a private room and it was HUGE! Our room was clean and everything was up to par. The hotel is in an exceptionally walkable area. There’s a streetcar and bus that you can catch right from the Florence train to the hotel which was very convenient. The pool area was a fantastic amenity and relaxing escape from the bustling city. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this property. Only slight issue is the long check in line but it goes by fast.

I would stay here again. While the check in process was a bit slow, the room was comfy, air conditioned, and had a great shower. There's a rush for check in at 3pm so be prepared to wait. They have a great luggage service for 3 euros, so you can ditch your stuff and wander the city while you wait for check in, or before you leave the city. Everything is walkable from this location, which is fabulous.

The front desk was always crowded with only 1 person \"available\".
I could understand the AC policy. It was turned on but they couldn't lend me the remote (in order to increase air ventilation). On the other hand, t asked three times for the maintenance guy to pay a visit to fix the AC, but I checked out 3 days later and I was still wainting. Overall, it's a good place, close to main attractions, city center etc, but terrible service.

They had the basics (washroom and beds) and that's pretty much it. The room felt so stuffy that we had to constantly have the window open, but that created issues like bugs getting inside and noise from cars or people partying. Most staff were kind and helpful, but others were rude or very unapproachable. The location is good because its close to a lot of places we wanted to visit and the main train station.

Upon arrival we waited 1 hour in line to check in. This seems to be a popular hostel for big groups of people and a lot of movement. The location of this property is great and not too far from anything. Loved the location and the shopping places available near. Only downfalls is that there are no refrigerators in the rooms and the windows seem to have a sensor. One on the window and the other on the frame. These are too apart and windows are thick so they don’t make contact therefore the air conditioner doesn’t work. Check this if you’re going in the summer!

Our stay was nice, and the staff was accommodating when we needed a hairdryer since ours was broken in the room. The beds were decent, but not amazing. There are no plug outlets by the bed, which made it difficult to use a phone for a clock or alarm, I also needed one for a CPAP, but they were able to find Extension cord so that I could use my CPAP.

Good value for its price. We had a private room for 2, overall quite clean and decent bed (albeit a bit hard and really low/flat pillows).

The one actual negative I had is that the sound isolation from outside noice (such as the 6am garbage truck) is truly awful. One of our windows was sagging and unable to fully close, and the blinds were stuck too.

Would be a solid 5/5 stars of they fixed the issue above and of they had a few more comfortable beds.

I stayed 2 nights here in January. Booked a private room.Solo travelling.
The hostel has a good breakfast , a variety of hot a cold choices including cakes.
Has a restaurant on site - handy after a long travelling day. Good value but limited choices.
The communal area with kettle/ microwave/ fridge is so handy.
Room and bathroom was clean.Fluffy towels, toiletries provided and daily room cleaning.
There was a sauna, swimming pool , small gym but I can't comment on those as didn't use them.
Soundproofing could be better. I could hear next room sometimes.
Also , I was on the 5th floor ,on the same floor as the roof terrace. It was a bit noisy on one of the night and this is in cold January. I think the noise level could be far worse in warmer months when more people sit out there. Avoid 5th floor if you value your sleep.

Overall, I would stay here again but would avoid rooms near the roof terrace.

Nice hostel, location is a walk away from the centre. Very good restaurants nearby. The building is old, so pipes make noise and the lift is very dodgy. The indoor pool and sauna area is very nice for the price. Had a bad experience with a very rude man at the reception, but other staff were very nice. Rooms were nice but not a lot of privacy, as there are no curtains in beds. Met loads of lovely people.

It's ok for one night

It was ok. Check in was easy, the bed was comfortable. However, no soap in the toilet or shower in the room. The toilet was dirty and flooded with water. Most annoying was that I had to keep my keycard in the holder next to the door to have electricity in the room. I wasn't aware of it until it all went dark while I was showering as the other guest in the room left and took his key. Trying to find my way wet and naked in the dark was not my favourite experience. It also meant I couldn't charge my phone throughout the night since I kept my keycard with me so had no electricity. Strange setup. Location is great though.

Plus Florence has a lot of great amenities. Between the rooftop terrace (with a bar & a great view) and the pool area (also with a bar & food services), the facility itself provides areas for rest & recreation. We had a hose in our bathroom that leaked onto the floor that was not addressed in a timely manner. Overall, however, the facilities were clean & pretty well maintained.
