I traveled with my family. Although the hotel is located about a 15–20 minute walk from the main attractions in the city center, it is worth it.

Here’s why:
1. The hotel lobby is staffed 24 hours a day.
2. The staff were very helpful and stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out.
3. Mohamad and Marianne (I may be forgetting the exact names) at the front desk were extremely helpful in resolving my rental car issue with Hertz in Sorrento.
4. The room was clean and modern, and housekeeping came every day.
5. It was very quiet at night—no loud tourists or traffic noise.
6. The rainfall shower had perfect water pressure, and the hot water was truly hot—not the tinny drizzle and lukewarm water we experienced in other hotels in Italy.

I wish the hotel would consider replenishing the two free water bottles every day.

We had a very nice stay overall. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful throughout our visit, making sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean, and well kept.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was no longer working during our stay (end of October), so we had to sleep with the windows open. As a result, we ended up with quite a few mosquito bites — apparently common in Florence that time of year.

A lovely gesture was receiving breakfast boxes on our departure morning since we had to check out very early. That extra attention to detail was much appreciated.

Overall, a pleasant stay with great service — just wish the room had been a bit cooler and mosquito-free!

We stayed for one night to be close to the airport. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff pleasant and helpful. They even printed boarding passes for us. The only negative was that they listed on the website that they had a 24-hour airport shuttle, but they could only use a taxi. They called a cab for us early the next morning and it came quickly. We would have preferred the certainty of an in-house shuttle.

The staff here was very helpful and attended to my needs. The in-roof safe needed batteries and this was taken care of. Also the temperature was too cold and unfortunately, it could not be controlled in the room- the person at the front desk had to do it. However, once done it was fine. Breakfast was good although a lot of pastries and sweets were available which I don’t like too much of for breakfast. There were eggs, yogurt and cereal as well for Americans and others that prefer those choices over croissants and things like that.
There’s a train available at the end of the block which is about a 3 minute walk and this takes you to the Florence train station but doesn’t go into the heart of the city, but there are other busses that are available if one needs to go further into Florence, but it is a walkable city. All in all, it was a good stay.

We had a nice stay at this property. Breakfast was excellent, and our room was spacious for two adults and two grown kids. While the room was clean and tidy, it was a bit dated and required some renovation. The location was two tram stops from the SMN train station (about 1.70 Euro/ticket). There were a few restaurants and a laundry place within walking distance. The property has parking on site (20 Euro/night), yet there is also a free overnight public parking lot outside of the property (free 8pm-8am, 2 Euro/hr thereafter).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. The location is very convenient for restaurants and attractions. I could have given 5 stars, but cutting 1 star due to the below reasons

Note: I could have even given 3 stars due to the below reasons, but there were lots of positives due to which I am cutting only 1 star
1. Ants in the bathroom and found live ants under the bed sheet. Not acceptable. See the video (not sure if I can post video or just the photos)
2. My wife never uses the soap given in the hotels, as she has very dry skin and carries her own. The cleaning staff next day, through her user personal soap from the shower area, which was not expected

I am sure management can easily fix these issues and it is 5 star worthy hotel otherwise.

Price reflects the condition of hotel

It wasn’t a pleasant start as the receptionist was not helpful when we first arrived at the hotel.
It was raining and we were struggling with our bags and kids but no help rendered.
There’s a long flight of steps to the lobby so take note for those with huge bags.
The black lady receptionist was solemn and unwelcoming, could not give any suggestions when asked about nearby eateries.
Room and beds were decent size, but the shower area is a big disappointment. There were mold and the rack was rusty and falling off.
Subsequent encounters with the rest of hotel staff were better. They were friendlier and pleasant. The gentleman was able to share where to go and what to do.
Do note that there is no phone in the room and no bedroom slippers provided. The nearest supermarket is at least 10mins walk.
Hotel is 3 tram stops away from Santa Maria Novella train station, €1.7 per ticket (valid for 90min)

I found the hotel provided old photos on Expedia and the rooms they showed were of the renovated rooms but they give you the old dorm style room. They pump a horrible scent into the rooms that is sickening sweet and I was highly allergic to. To the point I had to leave the next day and they refused to refund next night. HORRIBLE

Loved our stay here! The staff was so nice and accommodating (letting us check in much earlier than check out). The room was clean, beautiful, and air conditioned. Not being used to the humidity we are most thankful for that! The only thing I’d say is that the shower doors were not able to close all the way so water got out and made the floor super wet so we felt bad leaving it like that. Other than that, the breakfast was delicious and we will definitely be using them again when and if we come back!

This hotel was extremely disappointing compared to the pictures on the website. The rooms on the website look fabulous and our room was anything but. It was very plain and small with two very small hard beds and pillows, on the first floor. The bathroom was also tiny, looked like it was from the 70s, the shower was cramped and the sink was slow to drain. All in all not a terrible stay, but we felt completely cheated and lied to, and paid more than we would have if we had known the actual condition.

Staff was very kind and helpful. The location is walkable from Firenze Santa Maria Novella. In fact, it is walkable to everything in Florence. The breakfast options were a bit limited but quite tasty. The service was wonderful. The only reason for a couple four star instead of all five star is because the hotel is definitely going through some upgrades. This is not a bad thing as it will be even better in the near future. It was just a bit noticeable this trip.

The hotel is a tram ride outside of city center a small walk from the tram. The staff are very helpful. We had a cold when we arrived and they helped us with where to go to get to a doctor. The bed was sooo comfortable a great place to rest. The breakfast was wonderful with local treats. It was a great place to return to after sight seeinging with an elegant lobby and our room had a very interesting ceiling. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The price reflects the experience

Overall our experience wasn’t positive for a couple reasons. Starting with the good, the staff were helpful and kind, and the room was overall very clean. Also it was cheap.

We had a couple problems with the room, firstly the shower wouldn’t drain unless left for minutes. This led to a shower experience that would be stop and start in order to drain the water. Next, the air conditioning unit was leaking and woke us up at 12:30am. We had to call reception and they brought us towels to put down to soak up the water and we had to turn off the air conditioning to prevent further flooding. Our room, number 61 (we might be misremembering the room number) was right next to where breakfast was served - if you’re told you’re on lower ground floor do not accept it - especially room 61 - this made our mornings have an abrupt wake up call.

Upon checking out our experience wasn’t queried even though the hotel was aware of our negative experience.

The hotel is also quite close to the train station but far out from the hustle and bustle of Florence. Walking back from the centre felt unsafe at night.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend.
