Absolutely amazing! This is the perfect place to stay! Plenty of dining places including right next door, very close to all the sites in Florence and incredible view to the Duomo! Michele was wonderful, check in/out was very simple and quick. Room was clean, spacious, water pressure great, a/c was good, the room was quiet, 10/10!!

Huge space with perfect location!

This was the most incredible place. A full kitchen space and separate bedroom and bathroom! It was a dream and it was extremely close to the Duomo and incredible food spots including a little grocery store next door which we got some snacks from! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I would recommend 11/10!!!

Perfect place just 5 minute walk to the Duomo and the fancy stores. The street is full of restaurants and cafes. Our unit was huge. Kitchen, living area, dining table, bedroom and bathroom. We rented two rooms and they were slightly different in layout but same amenities.

A lovely well located residence. Plenty of space in the apartment and lovely to relax in after a day of sight-seeing. The front of house staff were great, especially with our daughter. With it being Halloween week the property was aptly decorated in communal areas and come Halloween itself there were plenty of treats. On arrival we received a WhatsApp with lots of used information.

If you want to feel like your home while on vacation, then this is the place for you. We loved our stay at Residency Hilda. I wish we would have booked 3 nights instead of 2. The location was perfect and well appointed. It is in walking distance to all the local attractions. A grocery store is within a couple of blocks of the Hilda, as well as fabulous Mom and Pop restaurants.
Marzanna is by far the perfect host, and her hospitality was very warming. The Hilda is lucky to have her. I would highly recommend this property. We would definitely choose this option again in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Residence Hilda. It is in an excellent location - the Duomo is five minutes walk away and the Unita tram stop from the airport is about 15 minutes walk away. The apartment was super clean, good servicing (even did our washing up), good air con, strong shower, nice towels, convenience of your own lounge with TV and sofa and dining table, safe and secure. Handy WhatsApp communication is available and we pre-registered as arrived Sunday evening and on arrival we phoned and the downstairs door was opened remotely and same for the apartment so it all worked very well. there are many convenience stores around even Sunday evening to purchase essentials. Very much recommended.

Fantastic experience from start to finish

We had a wonderful stay at Residence Hilda. The staff is awesome. Everyone was incredibly nice, helpful and professional. We mostly worked with Marzanna and Valentina, but Gabriel also helped us. They arranged guides, no line tickets (on short notice!), taxis, parking for our car, and gave us terrific restaurant recommendations. They also allowed us to check out a bit late (and stored our things) as we had an event in the afternoon in the city before leaving for the airport.

The suite was spotlessly clean and furnished with everything one would expect at a high end hotel including robes, slippers and toiletry amenities. Plus, the air conditioning worked very well, which was important as it was more than 90 degrees while we were there. Also, the wifi worked perfectly.

The location is fantastic. It is less than 5 min walk to the Duomo, a few minutes to the Accademia and also walking distance to the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and many other churches and areas of town with great restaurants. All this, and the property is very quiet. It is on a small one way street that gets almost no traffic.

Honestly, we have rarely had a property exceed our expectations like this. Thank you so much to everyone at Residence Hilda for making our stay in Florence so delightful, comfortable and easy!

This property was in a great location, very clean and we loved the layout of our deluxe suite. We traveled with our son and he used the pull out sofa in the living room. There was also a kitchenette and table with seating for four. The bathroom and main bedroom were spacious as well. This property had a lift. We could walk 12-15 min to the train station and the hotel will call a taxi or private car for you when needed. The front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. We definitely would stay there again. We also felt very safe walking around at night. The only downside was that our room was street side and noisy some evenings. We brought earplugs and loved the location so that didn’t bother us too much. The beds and pillows were pretty firm, and we like them softer, but overall Residence Hilda was a great place to stay for the week and we would stay again.

We booked our stay in the middle of a two week trip to Italy. By the time we got to Florence, the crowds, restaurant meals and dirty clothes were getting to us, so having a little place away from the noise was perfect. With a laundromat across the street and a grocery store on the next block, we were able to have a few simple meals at the apartment, get our clothes washed and recharge for the rest of the trip. Everything at Residence Hilda was great. The staff is wonderful, the the apartment was very sleek, efficient and tidy. My only request would be for more comfortable seating in the living room; there was only the pull-out couch.

The location could not be any better. As soon as you step outside, you're greeted by the duomo just in the distance. There is a market that pops up steps from the hotel doors and the staff gives excellent recommendations about where to eat/drink/eat the best gelato in the city. Rooms were clean and well maintained and we had WAY more room than we expected in our Jr Suite.

Best trip decision

Booking into Residence Hilda was one of the best decisions we made when preparing for our stay in Florence. This small hotel was an oasis from the busy streets and our activities. The personal concierge service from Gisella and Marizanna we experienced was outstanding. The whole place was spotless. The rooms are very quiet and well appointed.
We spent a little more than we usually do on accommodations- and it was truly worth every penny.

Great location - you see the Duomo from your doorstep and the Accademia is around the corner, which comes in handy to queue up first thing in the morning to beat the crowds. Very quiet at night, but there are several restaurants right near by - one of which will deliver room service!

Immense, elegant suites with every comfort, situated in a perfect location, central yet quiet. Immaculately clean. Professional, friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond what is necessary to make your stay comfortable. Design was a perfect blend of the classical proportions of the building with modern aesthetic. Will never stay anywhere else as and when I return to Florence. Only regret is that room can only accommodate two adults and an under 12. Would return sooner if an adult plus 16 and 14 girls could stay in same suite. Thank you.

The rooms were large and very comfortable. The kitchen came in very handy, and they even did the dishes for us. The staff was always very nice and very helpful. We greatly enjoyed our stay there.

Residence Hilda was our base in Florence for 2 weeks, and exceeded every expectation we had. The hotel is perfectly located, just a couple of blocks from the Duomo while also being on a relatively quiet and charming street. Our Deluxe Suite was spacious and very well designed and equipped. The bathroom was large and modern, as was the kitchen. Closet and storage space was ample and well thought out.
The room was very quiet, even though it faced the street.
Since the hotel has only 12 rooms, there is no sense of being in a commercial hotel, but the concierge staff was every bit as good as what you would find in such an hotel without any of the formality and stuffiness that often accompanies it. We were given excellent advice on restaurants, for example, and the concierge made museum and dinner reservations for us on relatively short notice when requested.
All in all, we give Residence Hilda and its staff our highest recommendation.

They recommended excellent restaurants to meet our specific needs and were great with giving us directions to specific places we wanted to visit. Our suite was clean and spacious and the bathroom was great - we especially loved the heated floors and shower pressure after spending the day outside walking around freezing Florence. Needs a backup generator!

Florence lost power, a few times, the night of our stay. And instead of having a service backup generator to handle situations like this, our A/C unit shut off abruptly waking us up in the middle of the night. Not great!

Fantastic 6 days in Florence

Fantastic location, only 5 mins walk from the Duomo and the centre of Florence. So many amazing sights to see! Our accommodation was superb, good size to the apartment and cleaned daily. The transfer that was booked as part of the trip was also first class, both drivers waiting for us on time with minimal hassle to and from Pisa airport. Would definitely book the accommodation and transfer again soon.

Perfect Small Florence Hotel

We stayed for just 1 night at Residence Hilda but would definitely recommend. On arrival we were upgraded to the executive suite which was spacious, bright, well equipped and modern. The small kitchen and espresso machine were great to have. The road the Hotel is on feels safe and there a couple of nice cafes. It's a 3 minute walk to the Santa Maria Duomo where there are lots of restaurants etc. The hotel is very well sound proofed so you don't hear any outside noise. Hotel staff were also great and helpful at recommending places to see and walking times etc.
Overall a good hotel at a reasonable price for Florence.

Beautiful, tiny, one corridor hotel with only six rooms. In the hallway you feel as if you are in a Renaissance palace gone modern. The rooms are all very contemporary on style with fabulous beds, and in the suites very large showers. It is our \"go to\" place in Rome

An oasis of calm

We loved Residence Hilda.Florence has to be one of the most ornate cities in Italy and to be able to return to the calm of Residence Hilda at the end of the day was wonderful.The suite we had was decorated in a warm but minimalist style with beautiful hardwood floors,twelve foot ceilings and muted colors.The bathroom was perfect - especially the bathtub.The kitchenette allowed us to keep snacks and drinks on hand.Across the street is a laundromat and two blocks down the street is a small grocery store.The bed was extremely comfortable and the bed linens highend.Something rather unusual for Italy:there was an iron and ironing board!I would certainly return again

Not cheap, but worth it

Hilda is quite pricy. But all accommodation in Florence is expensive. And the accommodation at Hilda is of good quality, spacious, quiet and very central - just 200m from the Duomo.

Two small gripes:

1. We would have appreciated an espresso nachine in the apartment - a Nespresso or similar. All there is available is an antiquated kettle you have to put on the electric hob to heat up, plus some Nescafe! Or one of those equally antiquated coffee makers that you put on the hob that boils the coffee. Both are an anathema to someone who likes coffee.

2. It was chilly when we stayed, unseasonably cold. But there was no heating, just cooling from the air-con. Apparently, the system is switched over from cooling to heating at some set date in the Autumn, not determined by the outside temeperature.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. And they had some great restaurant recommendations. Do go to Fishng Lab!

Excellent Apartment Style Hotel

Everything about this apartment hotel was excellent. The staff were extremely nice and provided us with useful recommendations of places to visit, shop, and eat in Florence. They upgraded our room and we definitely felt that the hotel was good value for the money. The apartment was quiet large with more than enough space for two people. It was especially nice to have a small kitchen for preparing simple meals. The hotel location was also good, very near the Duomo. I would definitely stay at the Residence Hilda again and would highly recommend it.

Residence Hilda is a no brainier.

Awesome experience. Close to everything.
Gisell and Marzanna were helpful friendly and speak good English. Our studio was modern very clean and comfortable. I will stay there again on my next visit to Firenze

A quiet spot in Florence

Excellent location. Extremely quiet. I was on the third floor on the back side of the hotel. I never heard a sound above me or outside. This is hard to find. Kitchen was very well stocked with all of the essential appliances. A/C was excellent. I didn't like the bedspreads which were of a slippery material that fell off the bed all night long. Would prefer a hair blower that is not wall mounted, but these are really nit picky things. Staff was friendly and fairly fluent. The usual miscommunications can happen. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent. You also have to been willing to get on by yourself as staff is only available during certain hours of the day and night. They do have an emergency number. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, really apartment flat,or to return to it. A gem in a busy city.

V good serviced apartment

Located just next to the Accademia and about 2 minutes walk from the Duomo, it's easy to walk to most of the sights from here. The apartments offer great value for money when compared to other hotels. Note that there is no bar or restaurant in the actual hotel if this important to you, however there are plenty of bars and restaurants just outside on the same Street.

Stay here with no regrets!!!

We were there over Spring Break with our family. The American TV channels did not work, however, the service, location, and room were superior. I would go back to stay and plan on doing so! Fabulous location and a fun Italian town with so many sites, shops, and restaurants. The Duomo and Academia Museum are so close to the Residence Hilda. The OK Cafe makes a tasty American breakfast.

Great apartment hotel

Stayed in this very comfortable apartment hotel for a week in early February. Close to Dumo, fresh food market and other sites. Limited cooking facilities but who cooks in Italy when you can eat out.If you like a simple cereal/toast breakfast then this will suit as you can supply for yourself. Staff are very helpful and efficient. Reception closes 1pm to 3pm and at night but did not find this an issue. Excellent WiFi connection. Rooms serviced daily. Only drawback is no washing machine in apartment but laundry service offered and laundromat across road. For those who are staying a little longer in Firenze or who just like a little more room and to do there own cooking then this is a wonderful option.

Our place to stay in Florence!!!

Small, elegant hotel/residence with wonderful staff an amazingly large room, a shower that was larger than most any one sees on Italy and no detail in the room unattended to.
