What a gem! This is the perfect home base for any trip to Florence for a couple. The location is just off Piazza della Signoria and close to everything. The Duomo is a 10 min walk, the Uffizi Gallery is one block over and Ponte Veccio is down the street. The place was clean and cool, which was needed as it was 100+ when we stayed. The host was so kind and we could drop our bags early to start exploring. Breakfast was this restaurant close by with stand up service of a pastry and cappuccino. Check out was easy and it was a 20-25 min walk from the train station. If/when we come back, I will definitely stay here again!

The location to the piazza was great and the cafe they work with for breakfast is very nice. The 2 biggest issues were the lack of any formal staff and noise. There was no one there to greet us upon check in- just a key and a room of security cameras. The most disappointing issue was the noise. Our room looked out at a side alley where trash and recycling were managed for the area and the dishes were washed for the neighboring restaurants. The glass being dumped into recycling bins, the trash deliveries/pick ups and the constant clamoring of dishes began in the very early morning hours and ran all day every day to about midnight. This made restful sleep very difficult and there was no relaxing in your room midday.

Room was very clean. Staff was easily accessible by WhatsApp. Great communication. Very cool staying in an 8th century palace. Great walking distance to everything.
Would not recommend bringing a car in. parking closest garage to hotel was 40 euros per day and not easy to find.

Hotel was clean and conveniently located. As stated in property description, you enter up a long stair case and there is no one present to help with luggage. Room was comfortable, however bathroom door was unable to be pushed completely open, making it difficult to move around it. Towels were not changed until requested and shower was thin plastic walls that frequently came off the tracks.

Family-owned and operated. Limited rooms. Everyday they sent a message with suggestions to make the visit to Florence more memorable. Loved that they offered morning coffee take away at a local 4 star restaurant. Great opportunity to sample the offerings. It was thrilling to see 1600s paintings in the museums and could see the same little walk way to the Uffizi represented in those pictures. Perfect spot to pivot and visit all the must-see sights in Firenze! Will definitely be going back. Only challenge are the 2 flights of steep stairs to get to the living areas.

I loved the location of this property. The host was helpful and always responded back to me quickly in WhatsApp. The only negative is that the room is on the 2nd floor and the window faces what I believe is a dumpster area. This makes for very loud mornings when trash is being collected. Bring ear plugs. The tickets for breakfast for the cutest little shop around the corner. Very nice!

Overall, it was a very good stay. The concierge, Silvano, was AMAZING from beginning to end!! His email greetings, communication, and instructions we exceptional. The accommodations were nice for the hotel - the room itself was very nice, clean, but pretty small. It was a bit difficult to keep our luggage open. The only other negative note was the noise late into the night from the restaurant below. There was a lot of kitchen noise that we could hear each night. Thank you for a nice stay, though.

Unique and charming old building in the heart of the old town.The room was spacious, extremely clean and tidy.The bed was soft and pillows comfortable.A very large bathroom with a bath.
Bar fridge stocked with drinks at an additional cost.
With the windows open it was lovely to hear the opera singing from the square in the early evening.A stones throw from many restaurants and next door to the uffizi gallery.Walking distance to all major attractions.
Side note-There are 16 marble steps to negotiate as you enter the residence.The door opens right onto the steps so getting your luggage inside can be tricky.Once you reach the top of these a lift services the other floors.Might be a bit hard for elderly people or those who have mobility issues.
Definitely recommended Casa Uffizi if your looking for an authentic ambience to your stay in Florence.

Silvano was very friendly and helpful. He contacted me a week prior to arriving, fill all my details online in, and I knew exactly where to go when we arrived.
He also checked in every morning via Whatsapp and asked if we needed help and gave ideas what to do for the day.

We like the location. However the description was grossly overly stated. It wasn’t a boutique hotel it was more like a college dorm room.There was no receptionist on the premiss. The room had a musty and mildew smell. Breakfast was included in price, but it was a coffee and donut served at a corner bar and you had to stand up. Also there was No TV in the room. The room was invested with mosquitos . Overall we were very disappointed in the experience . The property did not meet our expectations. The marketing hype was over promised and under delivered .

Located just off Piazza Signoria, perfect for exploring central Florence, this charming property was just what we wanted. The only thing to be aware of is the narrow flight of sixteen stairs to get to the first floor; from there a lift will get you and your luggage to higher floors.

Very old historic building. Perfect location for walking around Florence. Comfortable bed. The only issues were minor and addressed immediately. It is worth noting is that we never saw a human employee; however everything was cleaned daily, and the concierge responded very quickly to WhatsApp messages and was incredibly helpful. They sent us recommendations of what to do every day. We already had an intinerary, but we did see a few things we wouldn't have without the recommendation. We thought the service was fantastic, but I mention it because I can see this being a deal breaker for my boomer parents.

The hotel is conveniently located. The owners are extremely helpful and checks in on their guests during the stay. They even share their family's heritage in owning this 13th C building with us. Don't bother with having breakfast included though as it is only a croissant and cappuccino in a nearby fancy restaurant. Get your own, especially if one is used to English breakfasts.

This is a great location. The room was large and comforable. However there are a number of disadvantages a) The building is not accessible by taxi - the street is too narrow but you can get within a few minutes walking distance;
b) The check-in time is 5pm. Most other accomodations are 2pm which is much more conveniant
c) The street can be quite noisy at night - this didn't really bother us but has bothered other patrons.

First time at this hotel. Theres no reception or front desk but we had Silvano guide us all the way from booking to showing up. This was better than a front desk. He was like an Angel watching over you when needed. We text him and bang he was right on it. We had no issues with this location, and wanted to be in the centre of things. I would recommend and stay here again.

If you want to experience life in the center of Firenze, this is the place to be! This three-hundred-year-old home has been converted into a charming B&B just two minutes from the Piazza della Signoria. It's well-hidden, but there is a restaurant in the same single-lane \"street\" just a few steps from the front door. Other cafes, trattorias, etc. are just a short walk in the opposite direction.
This facility is nestled close to the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery (both are around 5 minutes away on foot). Allantico Vanaio (the famous eatery with huge panini-style sandwiches) is about a 7-minute walk from the front door of the hotel. Shopping at the leather market is minutes away as well. You can also walk to the Duomo and the Academia Gallery (where the original David is located) within about 15 minutes on foot.

The room was large, with a sitting area/sofa, and king-sized bed. There was a lovely armoire for hanging your close. The bathroom was huge by (European hotel standards) and was appointed with a bidet, towel warmer, shower (with bathtub), sink, and a small vanity plus mirror. The AC works well!
The quirky elevator was easy--if odd--to operate. It never stalled on us during our visit. The stairs to get to the first level are STEEP, but there is a chair lift for those requiring accommodations.
We loved opening the shutter-style windows to look out over the street below and watch people pass. STAY HERE, it's a lovely space with a perfect location!

Perfect location. It is located on small street just 30-40 steps from Piazza della Signoria ( seriously). Everything you would want to visit is in 6 -13 min. walking distance.
Great concierge service. Because, there is no concierge on site, I was wondering how communication via text will work. It was absolutely wonderful. I got suggestion on thing to do, all questions answered right away, all my needs were sutisfied in no time.
I am in my 60th and was traveling solo, so safety was a concern. Don't worry. I felt totally safe all the time, even waiting for taxi at 3am on the piazza .
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Thank you so much for making my stay comfortable and pleasant!

Comfortable stay in the midst of historic Florence

We loved our stay in this historic building just off the historic Piazza della Signoria! It's a little unconventional in that all communication is by email and text and you may never see the proprietor. But that made it a bit more quaint! And truly the location was awesome!! We loved walking through the Piazza at all times of day as we came and went from our room. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available from a local restaurant just across the piazza; every croissant or other sweet and our cappuccinos were delicious. One evening we ate at the restaurant closest to our building. Another evening it was pouring rain...it wasn't fit to be out and about, so we stayed in and relaxed (which was nice as it was exactly halfway through our trip so the downtime was nice). We would definitely stay there again!
