Continental breakfast with great pastries and good coffee too.
Very courteous and helpful staff and good video directions right to the room, something not given by many hotels!

The location is in a main square and very easy to get to all the primary sites. The hotel is in a 600-year old building so very quaint but we enjoyed staying there. There were 3 of us in the room (2 adults and a teenager) but it was big enough to feel you had space and service was very good. The only negative was that it is advertised with \"laundry\" as an amenity, but there is no laundry and we needed to walk a few blocks for a self service. Full laundry service distance was much farther and prohibitive for us.

Great the location. But the rest is no good: Breakfast is the worst I have so far in Europe. Diluted juice; some mornings there were no fruit at all and some mornings there were apples only. No hot food. Bed is way too soft and I literally had back pain after sleeping every night there. The mattress sinks when I sleep in and I’m not heavy at all. Just poor quality or old mattress. The shower room is also very small and blocks while showering.

The hotel location is convenient, being in walking distance to major attractions. Hotel itself is good, albeit our room AC unit leaked the first night and we needed to call the hotel staff for a technician to fix it; it was taken care of the next day. Everything was great afterwards, including the provided the breakfast and room service.

The location was ideal but the property was older rundown and the management is poor. Most of the time there is nobody there we were giving a ring of keys to get in and out because the touchpad was not working consistently. The coffee machine was broken the tie back hookfor the curtains was broken and fell out on the floor so they used a big squirt of caulking and taped it to the wall with a piece of masking tape. The shower was poor only had glass covering a third of the opening so the floor would get wet every time we shower. The pillows for the floor as well as the white sheets had stains very poor up keep maintenance. In the US this would be an 85 dollar per night hotel

Such a lovely place to stay! Everything was perfect and the staff was so kind. The terrace unfortunately wasn’t clean enough to enjoy but honestly we were not there as much as we thought. I’d stay again! Breakfast options were nice but light. Still happy with adding it to the room upgrade. Best little candies at the front desk!

The room was very close to the kitchen where breakfast was served and as soon as they came in to clean it up, from 7 o'clock onwards you could hear footsteps and the sound of plates and glasses being thrown. I had to ask to be moved to a less noisy room, although it was quite smaller and without a view, although I accepted because I prefer that to the noise.

The hotel is located in a great area for visiting the sights. We booked thru Hotels.com and didn’t notice the small print that says bed size and number can’t be guaranteed. I needed three beds and this hotel offered that on our reservation but gave us only two. The sofa bed was awful for anyone over 8. We could feel the bars underneath. Had a terrible nights rest. Breakfast was great and the gentleman at the front desk was apologetic but there was nothing he could do. The room with three beds is reserved for 5 people. Great for a two person stay.

Our suite was nice but overpriced for the facilities. The worst issue was there is no sound proofing and given that our room overlooked the piazza (room 6), the drunken singing, yelling and street rave on Friday and Saturday nights were so loud it sounded like a woofer speaker blaring next to our bed. This did not stop until 3am Friday and 4am Saturday mornings. I had no sleep for 2 nights. The location was very central, but the sleep deprivation was just not worth the expensive stay.

This is ideally situated near the closest monuments and within easy walking distance to all. Parking is difficult because you have to find an off site garage and that can make a short walk into a very long walk with luggage! Overall though, this place was excellent!

However, I was requested to reuse my coffee cup in the coffee machine which I think it is unsanitary. The coffee machine was not design to reuse of cups. My husband, two children, and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. Claudia checked us in and upon leaving, Maria Pia checked us out and called us a cab to the train station, which we were very thankful for. Daniel carried our bags to our room, which was great because the elevator couldn’t accommodate us all with our luggage. We had a two bedroom apartment on the second floor and it was nice to have two bathrooms. Everything was pretty clean; however, if you walk around barefoot on the hotel room floor you may want to rinse your feet before putting on shoes. The location was wonderful; walking distance to a ton of restaurants and shops. I also loved that you could fill up your water bottles in the lobby. Jenny in housekeeping was very sweet to our daughters and offered them some food from the cafe for the road. Would recommend!

Great hotel - close to Piazza Signoria - less than 5 min walk to Uffizi and Palazzo Vechio and just 10 min away from Duomo. Parking was easy, as the driver valet parked the car within 10 min after the request. Our room had a unique character, with 2 rooms and 2 baths, which made it convenient for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage kids.

The breakfast was good, but not great. The croissant was not as good as what we had in Venice, and the boiled egg was not fresh. The hot chocolate and coffee were good, and so was the cereal options.

The elevator is useful to carry heavy luggage to the higher floors, but it is very small - only one person with one piece of luggage.

The B&B Galileo 2000 is situated in a perfect position to explore Florence, all the must see sites are within walking distance, the room we had was the 'Romantic' room and was plenty big enough although there was no view from our window other than into another property, the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Would recommend as an ideal place to stay as it's so conveniently situated.

Also there was a bunk bed in the room, and my kid was afraid to sleep in the upper side. We tried opening the sofa bed and it was broken. When we reported, we were asked the question who authorized us to open the bed!

It was an amazing experience and the room was absolutely beautiful. We had the junior suite with the jetted tub. The staff was great and the area was perfect! My only concern was the smell that came from the bathroom every night when I was trying to sleep. Not sure if it was just old plumbing but I had to close all the doors because it was overwhelming. Again only happened at night which was strange. Besides that small problem everything was great and would absolutely stay there again!

What a beautiful accommodation in the San Firenze Piazza, in the middle of the historical center of Florence. Walking distance to everything Firenze has to offer. Cannot pay enough compliments to the wonderful staff. Federico took care of us like family. When we arrived there was a problem with our room, Federico upgraded us for our entire stay. We didn't mind moving several times to whatever room was available... including, for several days, the amazing, elegant and spacious canopy room overlooking the piazza. We got to experience all the charm and comfort of each spacious room. The buffet breakfast was excellent in the lovely breakfast room. Self serve cappuccino machine and a wide variety of fresh pastries, fruit, cereal, juices, hard boiled eggs, cheeses and meat, etc.. The train station is walking distance but the stop for the bus to and from the station is just around the corner. Galileo 2000 is a charming property and interestingly, shares its walls with Leonardo da Vinci's house where the Mona Lisa was painted. Grazie Mille for the beautiful stay Federico.

B&B Galileo is perfectly located in the centre of Florence and our balcony offered a wonderful view of the square. The room was so impressive with four poster bed and painted ceiling it had all the amenities you could want and was comfy too. As an older building I would say you can hear some noise from outside and the other rooms but that wasn't a problem for us. Staff were friendly and helpful and will happily take care of your luggage if you arrive early or after check out.

The layout was unusual and spread out. Noise issues in front courtyard and the rooms upstairs.

The room we were in was huge. Definitely meant for royalty. There was plenty of places for storage too. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. Our huge windows opened up onto the square! Breakfast was delicious! They had meats, cheese, yogurt, cereal, breads, sweets, hard boiled eggs, and there always was this sweet lady making us cappuccinos with hearts!
We had family in another room, although smaller because less of them were in a room it was still spacious. Again plenty of storage space and their room had a bath tub with jets!
Overall great experience. Everyone was kind and helpful!

Lovely huge comfortable room and a superb setting overlooking the square. It felt a bit noisy on the first night but I think we got used to it after that. Only disappointment we had was to receive two notifications of fines from using the car when we brought it to the hotel for parking. The hotel manager told us they would be contacting the police to let them know so we would not receive these fines, but that doesn't seem to have worked. It has cost us 2 fines of £42.70 = £85.40, which effectively added a cost of 100 Euros to our 4 night stay. Be warned not to stay here if you have a car.

The room was great and the location in central Florence was fantastic! Our only complaint was that our first night we had no hot water, but that was corrected the next morning. Be advised that if you drive to the hotel, it is in the Florence restricted driving zone, so you need to arrange with the hotel for a parking garage to give your car exemption from getting a ZTL fine. Garage charge is €25 per day. It worked out perfectly for us and the car was brought to the hotel just when we requested. We walked to all the museums and sights with no problems.

A great place to stay

Had a great time with B&B Galileo. The location was in the heart of old Florence, everything was within walking distance. The place was clean and nice and the hosts were kind and there if we needed anything. Lots to eat locally, everything was accessible. Highly recommended.

Decent hotel in an excellent location

Overall the hotel was good for the money. Great location in Florence with a short walk to everything. However, the shower was awful and the hotel staff was unable to fix it. We only had hot water for 5 minutes at a time. The bed was also very uncomfortable as it was hard and we could feel the springs in the mattress.

location is PERFECT!

room was very nice for our family of 4, center of everything, little restaurants close by, room was much bigger than expected, staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even had our car parked...don't try and drive

Fantastic location

Right near the centre of all the \"must do\" things in Firenze without being in the really noisy part of town. Very quick and easy 15 min walk to train station. Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, booking tours or giving recommendations. Do let them know when you will check-in as they do not stay at the property the whole time though they are available when you need them.
