We had a last-minute stay there due to the train strike, and it was a great evening after all… The hotel was right there in the main Square plus near the train station. The staff was lovely and they have the most beautiful rooftop patio and bar. you have to check out.

All staff is marvelous. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Bartenders make great drinks and drinking them at sunset on rooftop is divine. Stayed there twice; will always go back. They can tell you where everything in town is, where to eat, shop, pray, visit. Rooms nicely laid out and comfy.

We checked in and were given keys to our room and the room was not clean. It had an awful smell too. We were given another room at exorbitant cost and the air conditioning was not working. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Well, the hotel is very conveniently located but it lacks some basic features. The bathroom is outdated, it is difficult to take a shower, we were not offered an upgrade. We got a very dark room. We were not warned that to service the rooms you need to request them.

Wonderful well location hotel with great staff

Wonderful 4 night stay at Hotel Continentale in Arezzo, IT. We had a quiet comfortable room in a hotel that is a 10 mins. walk from the train station in one direction and a 10 min. walk to the old and historic part of town in the other direction. Very nice breakfast in the AM fir a reasonable price with very attentive staff. Front desk staff were always helpful. So much to see in Arezzo (medici Fortress, Archeological Museum, the Cathedral and Church of San Francesco. A good location for our day trips to towns of Cortona, Pienza and Montepulciano.

The floor in bathroom when we checked in could have been a little cleaner, but I just cleaned it up myself. Otherwise it was very nice. Service to the terrace was great as were the drinks. Hotel was convenient to train station and many fine restaurants.

Great location, less than 300 ft (100 m) from the train station, walkable evrywhere. The rooms are nice, the bathroom is small (European style), and the water pressure was literally a trickle. The first evening there was no hot water for several hours, so I had a very invigorating cold one. It helped with the heat later though. The breakfast is good, although there are no heaters under the trays, so you may have to enjoy some cold scrambled eggs. The sweets are great. The hotel is not expensive even during season so fair value for the money

This was the perfect place for our stay in Arezzo! You can not beat the rooftop terrace for views over the city. All the staff were wonderful and so helpful when our fridge didn’t work they kept wine in the kitchen fridge chilling for us. We loved our stay here and we would definitely come back!

We choose the location because it was a block from the train. We were staying just for the night. The staff was very nice and most helpful giving restaurant advice plus sites to see. We left are luggage the next day while we went to visit friends . That was helpful because we had checked out.

Handy little hotel for the station

We booked Hotel Continentale because we were arriving by train and it’s very close to the station. We only stayed one night but were sad to leave. Beautiful decor inside, comfy room and friendly staff. So close to the old town centre too.

Great customer service and perfect location for visiting Arezzo! There is a large, clean parking garage nearby, as well as an ample parking lot. It is also just a quick walk from the train station. Plenty of great food options nearby. Our room was freshly renovated and had a nice view. I will stay here again on my next visit to this charming town!

Quality hotel close to all conveniences

I only stayed here one night but the staff was very friendly and accommodating with me leaving my bag after I checked out. It is close to the train station and not far from the center of town. There are several great restaurants close by. The breakfast offered a number of choices. I would stay here again.

OK hotel in Arezzo

good location, very close to train station, small room, very small single beds (more appropriate for children, not adults), WiFi and A/C worked fine, very limited int'l TV channels (1 in English, 1 in French, all others in Italian), safe and fridge in the room were convenient, very attentive and helpful staff at the Reception, OK breakfast, don't know if enough for a 4* hotel. Overall a good hotel in Arezzo but more a 3* than a 4*.

Nice hotel with a dishonest staff member

The room was clean and well appointed. They were welcoming at the front desk. The day after we checked in we went down to breakfast and returned to find the room had been cleaned. To my surprise a blouse that I was planning to wear that night was missing from my suitcase. I reported it at the front desk right away and was told that the cleaning lady had been there for many years and would not steal my blouse. I was certain that I had the blouse because I had seen it the day before when I checked in. I checked for it on my return home just to be sure and it was indeed stolen. The hotel stated I should call the police but it seemed like too much over a blouse. Unfortunately I would not stay there again if I return to Arezzo. I would caution guests to lock up their belongings or place the do not disturb sign on their door during their stay

Spent 2 nights on a recent trip and unfortunately this hotel did not meet expectations. The AC barely cooled our room. Pillows were hard as was the bed. It is centrally located just a short walk from the train station and many of the cities key points.

The hotel was centrally located and convenient to city center. Our room was located on a business street and was very noise. The room was always hot and the only way to cool it off was by opening the door, which made the noise even worse.

Great location not far from the train station but easy walk to the old Town and it's sights. Nice breakfast and great coffee. Roberto at reception was very friendly and extremely helpful as was the bellman whose name I do not recall. Thank you. The hotel has memories of elegance however it may be getting a bit tired.

Location was good, able to walk to everywhere. Beautiful park across the street. The room I booked was a double, was given the room but it was set up to sleep four. There were two other chairs plus a deck, way to much furniture to be comfortable. Hotel staff was not welcoming and pleasing. Breakfast was terrible cold eggs 3 mornings on the fourth lady asked if I wanted my eggs hot. Really who eats cold scrambled eggs? Unpleasant stay

We are not a Pharmacy!!!

All good except the front desk clerk was rude. I was sick during my stay and had a high fever.

When I told the clerk that I needed some medicine (Tylenol to control my temperature), he abruptly interrupted me and said that they did not 'sell' those products and looked at me like I was an idiot.

Well,
I know that hotels are not pharmacies!
If he would have waited and not been so rude to interrupt me, he would have realized that I was about to ask for help to find a pharmacy that was open - It was 10pm at night.
I needed help finding a pharmacy that might be open at this time of night.

After I explained myself, he told me where to find a pharmacy. He was not friendly or helpful, ....nor did he offer to help get a taxi etc.
He seemed put out that I interrupted him reading his newspaper.

The hotel was in a great location, it was clean and comfortable but the front desks attitude ruined my stay at this hotel

Centrally located great hotel in Arezzo

Nine of us descended onto Arezzo for a wedding, requiring multiple rooms, convenience, parking, etc. Most of the staff at the Contenintale were very helpful and supportive, the rooms were very nice with small balconies overlooking the square and streets, great breakfast.

Very charming and clean hotel

In fairness, this was my first stay at a hotel in all of Europe. I was there only one night. Was visiting my daughter studying in Arezzo. The hotel was charming and very clean. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. I loved the bathroom. The decor and look was older and charming. This is the main hotel used in Arezzo I'm told. Was in a great location. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room needs to reorganise the Layout.

The room is so tight there is no spare space to open the luggage and had to spread them out on the floor. Had to move a low side table (which is there for no purpose)and had to tuck underNeath the desk to empty out a corner to spread out my luggage.

Will never book this hotel again.

This was by far the worst 4 star hotel I've ever stayed in. No (visible) electrical outlets were there except the Table lamp ones. Only had electrical outlets for italian plugs (where they should've had at least the standard european ones since it is a 4-star hotel) the TV had a 19 in. Screen which is obviously v. Small. The wall sound insulation was extremely bad. I could hear my adjacent room occupants voices clearly!

We felt very comfortable in the hotel that has a homely atmosphere. We have nothing to reproach, all impressions are extremely positive. Especially attractive terrace vantage point on top of the hotel from which you can see the exquisite panorama of the city.

The Continentale fully deserves its four star rating. Service was friendly and professional throughout. My bedroom was modern and bright with a smart modern bathroom. A strong feature of the hotel is its roof terrace which affords a panoramic view of historic Arezzo on a clear day.The Italian buffet breakfast was lovely. I only stayed one night this time, next time a longer stay.

We only stayed for one night, but it was well worth it. The room had great air-conditioning, and all furnishings were nice too. Great service from staff, and a great breakfast too. A good experience in Italy for a decent price, which is most often hard to find (in Italy).

the best thing about the hotel is the fact that there is a parking garage a few meters away. That is important in Italy where parking is always a concern.

A nice, decent place to stay. Nothing grand, and a bit short of its self-proclaimed \"four-star\" status (in fact, on their stationary in the rooms, it is listed as a \"three-star-superior.\" To be fair, their prices are very low, so it is a great value. The facilities are clean, a bit dated but perfectly OK. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms are quiet (double sound-proofed windows). The daytime front desk personnel is polite; the evening clerk (a bald man) is a bit abrupt and borderline rude. The breakfast is perhaps their weakest point, but it is normal for Italian hotels of this kind (unless you go to a true four-star or five-star hotel). I still would recommend this hotel. For this price, you won't find anything better, and it is great as a base. If you want to be \"pampered\", this is not the place. For the record, I have return 2 times already.

Great hotel for the budget traveler

I recently did a quick last min business trip through Milan, Florence and into Arezzo. The first 2 hotels were NOT good but The Contentinal was quite nice for the price. It's defiantly not a 5 star or Westin so don't expect that but very nice none the less. It's located in the square, close to everything, making it easy to walk to the scenes, dinner and shopping (important when you are having a glass or 2 of Vino at dinner). The roof top lounge is a good added feature. Worth the money.

Go to roof for overview of Arezzo....very nice view. Some staff more helpful than others. Breakfast room woman recommended the expresso bar for cappucino over the machine in the breakfast room. Very nice of her to get it for us. One of front desk staff was helpful with directions; other not as much. Good value for money.
