We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Antica Torre Tornabuoni in Florence. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed, providing exceptional service and attention to detail. The property itself is charming and beautifully maintained, perfectly blending historical character with modern comfort.

Our room was comfortable and elegantly decorated, offering a peaceful retreat after exploring the many attractions of Florence. The location is ideal — central yet quiet — allowing easy access to the city’s cultural sites, museums, and dining options.

We particularly appreciated the staff’s friendliness and professionalism; they were always ready to offer helpful suggestions and ensured that our stay was seamless and enjoyable. Every little touch made our experience memorable, and it’s clear that the team truly cares about their guests’ satisfaction.

We will fondly remember our time at Antica Torre Tornabuoni and hope to return on our next visit to Florence. We highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone seeking an authentic and comfortable Florentine experience.

Comfort and Convenience in a Medieval Tower

Our room, with its spectacular view of the Arno, was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and spacious. There were chairs to sit by the windows - which opened so we could get a sense of the temperature outside and let the evening breeze in. It was quiet, the bed comfortable, the marble bathroom spacious. We asked for a coffee maker in the room and the helpful staff promptly brought a Nespresso machine. Breakfast on the terrace, with its own spectacular views, was delightful. The upper roof terraces were a delightful spot for a coffee or a drink. The location is ideal for exploring Florence on foot and the entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to be helpful. We will return!

Location just doesn’t get better in Florence. Ancient walls, many rooms overlook Arno river, other rooms look at the old city center and the main cathedral.
Management consists of just a few hard working and efficient people who are trying their very best to keep all guests satisfied.
Clean rooms, regular and thorough cleaning.

The view from the rooftop bar/restaurant is probably the best in town.

A word of caution: rooms differ dramatically! We strongly recommend paying more for a bigger river view room.
Our original room was nice but small, overlooking the famous De Fiore Cathedral. Unfortunately, the bathroom had such an unbearable odor that we could barely use it. The odor started to spread to the room. We went down to explain our unpleasant situation. The management did everything to help. We ended up in a beautiful room looking at the river. What a difference!

So go for it, but make sure to book a room with a river view. Our excellent room was #61.

I would stay nowhere else when back in Florence!!! And would pray to get my beyond beautiful room overlooking the Arno once again. I was granted an upgrade without even asking. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
The service is OUTSTANDING, including room service and breakfast (which is extremely generous and delicious and offers amazing views) and also concierge.
Location is unbeatable: on the river, on one of the mist lovely piazzas in Florence and Via Tornabuoni is by any account the mist elegant shopping street in the world. Plus you are no more than a 10’ walk from all manor sights.
But what makes Antiche Torre unique is it’s style and understated Florentine elegance. The decor is traditional but light, flawlessly tasteful and imaginative. A welcome break from all the loud, statement/branding the hotel industry offers these days. This place is discreet, romantic and LOVELIEST!

Wow, what an awesome and authentic experience. The hotel Antica Torre Di via Tornabuoni 1 was the most romantic and relaxing stay of our holiday. From the initial booking to the hotel stay it was perfect. The rooftop terrace and the wonderful staff serving, the hotel advice re restaurant bookings and things to see was outstanding and delivered in such a friendly manner. Location, Great Staff & Incredible Rooftop

This place was INCREDIBLE! My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights while celebrating my 40th birthday, but hte hotel had families with children (young and teens), and would be a great option for anyone. The hotel itself was on several levels, and felt more like an apartment complex with winding hallways, 'secret' entrances, and relaxing areas to retreat. Because the rooms were spread out, we didn't hear anyone else while we were in our rooms, which were fully renovated, with a great walk-in shower. The location is one bridge away from Ponte Vecchio, and very walkable to anywhere you would want to go (Uffizi, Pitti Palace, Duomo, Mercato Centrale, and train station). Every staff member was so pleasant and willing to help you with any needs. The AC in our room didn't seem to be fully functioning (totally understandable in the July heatwave - but the reception was able to get us a fan, which helped tremendously). My husband and I would go to the rooftop each afternoon after sightseeing and also before dinner to relax and have a glass of wine before going out to dinner; it truly was one of the most beautiful sights. Mia, one of the bar staff, was so nice and helpful with dining suggestions.

The breakfast is in another part of the hotel, with access to a lovely terrace to watch the scullers on the Arno each morning. Expansive menu with continental breakfast and various fruit drinks and coffee.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel - we will definitely be back!

While the location was terrific, I can not rate this property highly. Turning off the heat is not acceptable when the temperature is so cold. Our room was uncomfortably cold. The comfort of your guests was not your first priority. I feel we should receive a rebate.

Not my first time in Florence, but how to you make a city that’s virtually a museum even better?
You make it personal, one thing
the art of being Italian can give. You here reviews of this hotel and much is the staff, because they are phenomenal. The suites are fabulous, especially the Romantic suite facing the river.
The location is superb, being along the Arno yet removed from a weary tourist area of the Ponte Vecchio and Ufizzi. In one little block things become subdued and the finesse of Urban Firenze is at your feet.
Rooftop breakfast is fabulous but not stuffy, service is wonderful. Marco at the front desk, trust, ….as he is excellent at making things happen. We will return and stay exactly there. The details: sheets fresh, towel clean and fresh smelling, room service and attentiveness prompt and with a human touch.
You feel as though you are excellent house guests.

Terrible service, no coffee in the 400 dollar Felix room with a balcony! When I asked for a cup the lady tried to charge me and then got mad when I told her at least one cup of black coffee is free… she started treating me like trash and I was shocked, I asked for the number to a manager and she would not give it to me. I left disgusted at the service - 2022, 400$ room , no coffee and want to overcharge charge their guests for a black coffee. Also no food / rooms service etc.

Beautiful, quiet room in a cluster of other rooms that share a beautiful lounge/business area that's more like a big living room, with a very nice piano. Our room was very large and seemed more like a suite, with the bedroom separate from another area with two closets and writing desk, and yet another area with a beautiful bathroom and separate shower room. It was like living in a beautiful, spacious apartment, with a beautiful view of the Ponte Vecchio, the river and the north side of the city. Perfect location, easy walk to the Uffizi, Pitti Palace, lovely restaurants and shopping all around. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful views from breakfast room and rooftop bar.

Great location and very old but well kept property. We booked a double room but did not know it would face out to another building with little light. We were on the 5 th floor and could smell the kitchen which is not ideal. Also the hotel charges for basic bottle water which I have never experienced before in Italy.

Upon arrival I was told by the front desk manager that despite my confirmed prepaid reservation there was a “computer glitch” and that my room was no longer available. He seemed to think he was doing me a favor by rebooking me in another hotel on the other side of the Arno further away from the Ponte Vecchio. This was not the experience I had wanted or paid for. Beyond disappointing!

This was a truly great property. We booked The Library suite and it was exceptional. Very well designed and decorated room with the best view of the city and the Arno River. Large comfortable bed and very spacious bathtub and bathroom and another separate shower. The room and property was luxurious, but not in a pretentious or tacky/over the top way. It had great character and warmth to it.

Great common room area for the suite guests with a spacious couch area and a piano.

Breakfast room was very pretty and breakfast terrace had a superb view, so did the bar and rooftop terrace. Breakfast was delicous. Nice home made food like touch of cold and hot options. Very well presented and managed. They even had a proper matcha tea whisk and bowl.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone was very welcoming and approachable and professional.

We truly had a very comfortable stay and it will be hard to stay anywhere else in Florence.

It is a nice, old style hotel in a very good location, but it had some draw backs that ruined the experience for us. Primarily, we had an issue where the smell of raw sewage was bubbling up from the pipes, and we had to make sure the sink, bidet and shower were all plugged at all times. Still, the smell was there, always. Pretty gross.

Great view overlooking the Arno

Everything was beyond expectation. The Hamm suite overlooking the Arno with the windows open offerered incredible views as well as the sounds of Florence (perhaps lasting a little too long into the morning at times....4am....then you may want to close the window) The several terrace options for dining were peaceful and the food was outstanding.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! We were there for 4 nights, and didn't want to leave. We had a beautiful room that had its own little terrace. The room was very comfortable and clean. We loved the hotel's terraces. It was very nice to sit up there each night for a drink before dinner. The breakfast spread was very nice - a good mix of some hot food but also yogurts, granola, fruit, etc. The hotel was in a great location as well. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

Hotel was in s great location to all the major sights in Florence. The view out our window was breathtaking. On 2 negative things were the beds were HARD and uncomfortable and the washer/dryer unit didn’t work well. I would stay here again in s heart beat.

We had a problem with something left on our plane, and the staff went out of their way to help us.
The location is excellent and the rooftop restaurant has wonderful views all across Florence. The waiters were friendly and helpful. Very good buffet breakfast.

The Torre Tournabuoni is ideally situated within walking distance of all Florence. The staff is kind and the rooms are very comfortable and many are \"A Room With a View!\" After dinner, there is little better than going up to the roof deck for the skyline view of the Duono, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Piazzale Michelangelo.

The hotel doesn't have massage rooms as stated and referred us to a spa down the street that was closed. the valet took 45 minutes to arrive and the cost of parking is 35 euros. Also, the person at the front desk spoke limited English. The view and location are excellent. we enjoyed relaxing on the roof terrace.

This hotel was in a great location on the Arno, we had no trouble walking to all the sites we wanted to see. It is an historical hotel as well, but beautifully renovated. The rooftop lounge has beautiful views of the city. The staff was very helpful. Our only problem was that no one was available to check us in when we arrived. However, I believe it was because the checkin clerk also takes the time to take each guest directly to their room and show them around the hotel a bit. We appreciated this, but is was a little off-putting to arrive after a long day of travel and have to wait in the lobby to check in. Other than that, our stay here was great. They also had a wonderful breakfast!

From the beginning of our stay until the end, the staff at this hotel was amazing. We arrived after a long overnight flight and the moment we got to the hotel we were greeted with glasses of water and were made very comfortable while waiting to check in. They accommodated my request to have our children's room next ours. The morning breakfast was delicious and perfect to begin each day. Central location was perfect. Everything I read on line was correct. Loved it!!

Outstandingly lovely hotel!!!!

Wow! What an amazing hotel. We absolutely LOVED our stay!
The hotel is very clean and well kitted out. The staff were very helpful. Check in was incredibly easy with the staff member showing us to our room and conducting the check in there. We had a wonderful view of the south of the city, over looking the river. Large floor to ceiling windows, comfortable bed, nice decor, good wifi, lovely soaps/shower gels /shampoo /conditioner.
The hotel is steeped in history and is very quirky with a maze of corridors and lifts. It was superb!
The view across the city from the terrace is fabulous.
We spent the last night of our honeymoon here and it was brilliant! We will definitely be back!!

Over looking the Arno river.

This hotel was perfect for our vacation. The rooms were spacious and clean and the rooftop bar/restaurant had the most amazing view of Florence. I highly recommend it.

Great place but way overpriced! Poor value!

1) I checked in and asked the young woman about parking. She stated they have valet parking for 22 euros a day. I asked whether other self parking was available nearby and she stated only the train station. I asked how far and she stated 10 minutes walk. I asked how much it was and she said she did not know. So I let the hotel valet park my car. I walked 50 yards from the hotel looking for a restaurant and saw a parking garage open for business. I asked the garage and they offer 24 hour parking for 15 euros! If the hotel hires a desk clerk that clerk should know about nearby parking. And if they don't know they should say they don't know. 2) Having stayed at 7 other hotels in Europe recently which offer free bottled water in the rooms, I asked the same desk clerk if the bottled water in the room was free. She stated yes all the bottled drinks are free. 3) This overpriced hotel has tiny elevators, so small only 2 people and a luggage cart will fit. 4) The lights in my apartment lobby were burned out so it is dark upon entry! The desk clerk stated she will have it fixed but it never was during my stay. How long does it take to change a bulb? 5) I drank 4 waters and then looked at the top of the fridge and there is a sign listing charges for each drink! 6) I complained to the manager about the free drinks and he said the desk clerk thought I was asking about tap water! Honestly? 7) I also complained about the parking lie and the manager refused to refund me the 7 euros! Wow!

One night in Florence

This hotel was magnificent! Our room was beautiful and the hotel is centrally located to everything. The breakfast buffet the next morning was just perfect. There is a rooftop seating area complete with bar and restaurant that gave us views of this unique and beautiful \"city\". Marissa (I hope I remembered her name correctly) was exceptionally helpful and courteous! We absolutely loved this hotel as we absolutely loved Florence!!! Don't forget to see the Brass Bull at the market.
