We had a lovely stay. Great location. The staff was fantastic--every person we dealt with was exceptionally helpful, courteous, and kind.
The shower was small and the water temperature was a bit difficult to control, but everything was clean and nice. It may be worth noting that we experienced quite a bit of street noise (revelers) each night, so don't plan to sleep with the windows open.

Property is in a great location walkable to any place in the core of Florence. We met a lovely young lady who served breakfast. Her name is Georgia. She was sweet and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our breakfast. Breakfast was decent provided many options but could be a little better in my opinion. If you have heavy luggage, feel free to buzz when you arrive and they will provide assistance. There is an elevator, but it’s only accessible from the second floor.Was there in the month of June, AC works really well and the unit had some decent upgrades like being able to charge your phone from the bedroom bed headboard and descent wifi, steamer and blow dryer, clean high end cotton sheets and comfortable pillows and mattress. I would recommend staying.

Came here to get away from a scary BnB situation, front desk had no idea and checked me in hours earlier than I expected. Everyone was so polite, helpful, and informative. Rooms are a bit compact but that’s literally the European experience, hotel provides everything you could need for your stay in the room. Really luxurious vibes, felt so safe coming and going any time of day and is on a well lit road. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay in Milan!

Room Mate Isabella boasts an unbeatable location, placing you right in the heart of the action with easy access to major attractions, dining, and shopping. While the central setting does mean some street noise, the provided earplugs are a thoughtful touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, and their assistance with luggage on the many stairs was greatly appreciated. The convenient location and excellent service make the Room Mate Isabella a strong contender for a return visit.

Should you stay here? Bottom line: Yes!

Pros:
• Friendly staff – Helped me relocate here on one day’s notice when my original hotel wasn’t up to par, called me a cab upon departure, and even sent me off with a water bottle
• Housekeeping is excellent – Rooms are consistently clean
• LOCATION is unbeatable – Walkable to Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, Santa Croce, and the train station. Plus, it’s right above Gucci and other designer shops
• Luggage porter – No need to lift a finger with your bags
• Luggage storage – Convenient for early arrivals or late departures

Cons:
• Heating issues – Difficult to regulate; the lowest setting is 21°C, but it kept resetting to 24°C on its own, making the room stuffy at times (had to open a window for fresh air)
• Security with stairs – Stairs on the way up might defeat the purpose of a 24/7 front desk from a security perspective—having someone stationed outside could be helpful
• Some wear and tear – A few scuffs on the walls and a chipped door, nothing major but definitely noticeable

Would I stay here again? Absolutely

The staff make this hotel

Situated what seems to be in the middle of Gucci, it’s very well located for shopping and sightseeing. Staff are friendly and efficient, and couldn’t do enough to help us, the room was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Extensive mini bar in the room.
Next to reception is a lounge where you can get a glass of Prosecco, tea coffee juice fruit and biscuits throughout the day. We used it as a pit stop when dropping off the shopping, it was so handy.
I’ll certainly stay here again when I return to Florence.

If you get the right type of room, this hotel may be perfect for your stay since it is in a great location, steps away from Republic Piazza, easy to get to the other side of Arno and train station.

We really wanted a central place to stay in Florence near the station and the main touristic places and this hotel was the best option. Breakfast is excellent! They offer many options and you can always get a capuccino, water and prosecco for free.

Antonello and his team offers excellent service. Our train departed very early, and they prepared us a to go breakfast and capuccino!! Thank you and we will go back for sure!!!

Excellent experience, my name is Paolo and I must say my stay was excellent. I’ve travelled to many hotels over the years in Italy and I must say you pay for what you get. I stayed with my wife and 4 nights and the experience was very good from the warm welcome we received from Mirko upon our arrival and offered us some water straight away. I also really enjoyed the breakfast and not to mention Antonello who managed the breakfast area he was so attentive to our needs and was fun to speak with he is a treasure. The bathroom and room was excellent, Luxourious linens, high thread count, great pillows, clean, spacious, air condition worked perfectly. only improvement I would recommend would be to have more selections of tv channels even though we didn’t watch much tv. This is a perfect location, very busy, walking distance to everywhere, can be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper.

First. The staff was amazing and so kind. Top notch and made our stay even better. Second. The location of the hotel was perfect. Perfectly located walkable to everything you want to see in Florence. Nothing was more than 15 minutes away. The Doumo was 3 mins away. All the luxury shopping was a stone throws a way. The hotel is above Gucci. Third. The hotel room is so Italian and so quaint. It has everything we needed. We weren’t in there much. It was comfortable and adorable. This hotel is great. We highly recommended it and would stay here again.

Beautiful Hotel Experience

Our stay at Room Mate Isabella made our trip to Florence better. The location is perfect. Within 10 minutes walking distance to all the major sites (Uffizi, Duomo, Central Market, Train station). There are many food and shopping options as soon as you step out. The property is unique looking in its decor. The rooms are large in square footage. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom was very well stocked, clean and comfortable. The service was great. Everyone we interacted with was eager to help and answer questions. Our favorite person was Antonello who was in the breakfast room area and was very attentive to guests.

We are definitely booking our next stay in Florence at this hotel.

Weird shower enclosure, only attached on one wall so all three sides moved all over the place. Water got onto floor, shower floor very slippery and no grab bars or anything to help. Maybe our bathroom was for handicap access in shower but wasn't safe. Also, only handheld shower.

The hotel is in a great location, central to the shopping district and a short walking distance to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. The service was outstanding (bravo, Augusto!), helping us with dinner reservations and tour purchases. Our only complaint is that the rooms were too warm and when we tried to sleep with the windows open, the noise from the street kept us awake - one disadvantage for being centrally located.

Great location in a safe area near many very high end shopping stores. Staff was so friendly and helpful! There is a large staircase to enter the hotel but staff very kindly will take your bag up for you. After the first flight there is an elevator you can take up the rest. Room was spacious and the minibar prices are very fair. Room service cleaning was great. Only complaint was the shower. The doors were hard to close, and even when closed appropriately water does run out under the doors leaving the bathroom floor very slippery. We asked for extra towels and left one large one down and it was fine. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location; great staff; tiny bathrooms

Fantastic staff! Wait & porter staff was excellent. Great breakfast. Getting to the reception or first floor of the hotel was a climb (actually begins on the 3rd floor), but the porters make it easier. Only negative is that the bathroom in our room was very tiny. Getting in & out of the shower required some contortions. Overall, excellent establishment.

The room was beautiful, clean, and quiet. It was a fantastic stay -

Some things to note - When we left the lift was not working and bringing large suitcases down 4 flights of stairs was not fun. Also, if you stay in the suite you should note that the first and last flight of stairs are not serviced by a lift and the shower ceiling is very low - my husband is 6'2\" and could not stand up in it.

Excellent location above Gucci, and really nicely done. Up the stone stairs from the street, the staff is so very professional, friendly, and accommodating. WiFi works well, mini-bar with snacks and chambermaid every day. The rooms are very attractively furnished, and it's quiet and comfortable, even being in the city center. Florence is at the doorstep. I'm coming back!

The perfect location to explore all of Florence. A boutique hotel that is worthy of being right in the center of their most important and beautiful shopping street. Look for Gucci and sitting imediately after this special hotel.

The rooms were clean, nicely renovated, and furnished in this historic building. The shower and bed were good.

There is a two flight walk-up, which would be difficult to navigate with luggage, but assistance from a staff person is offered and expected.

Lovely big room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A short distance from all the main attractions and designer stores if you are interested in shopping.
Lift starts from first floor but if you need assistance you just ring the bell on arrival and a member of staff will come and assist you.
A small hotel but I personally prefer that.
If you are using the train on arrival and for excursions the train station is a short walk away and you get the pleasure of walking past Santa Croce Church. Great start to your visit to Florence
Good breakfast and hotel is quiet.
