One of the BEST hotels on earth!

One of the BEST hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We had just gotten married and were on our honeymoon and when they found they upgraded us from a classic room to a mindblowingly beautiful suite with two bathrooms and a view of the pool. The style, decor, comfort, impeccable service made our honeymoon in Firenze wonderful. This is a WORLD CLASS HOTEL! Special shout out to fabulous Fabio for the rockstar welcome!

Opportunistic and Dishonest Hotel Management

The building and surroundings are beautiful but they prioritise the income rather than customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this hotel after their opportunist and dishonest behaviour. They have even did not honor their own cancellation policy after their employee submitted in writing.

If I could give this place 100 stars, it would be completely accurate. The hotel and grounds itself are a work of art and could have its own guided tour that people would pay for. We took hundreds of photos all around. The heated pool, steam room, and jacuzzi were so nice to use throughout our trip, especially to start our mornings. Most importantly, the service was exactly what you would expect at a place like this. Everyone was so kind, respectful, and made sure we always had everything we needed even if it was just a small gesture like a cup of coffee while we waited in the lobby for our taxi. A special thank you to Marco, who made us feel like the most important people in the world from start to finish of our 4 night stay. LUXURIOUS in every way. Completely exceeded our already high expectations.

We had exceptional service at this stay! The building is jaw dropping and the staff will go above and beyond for you. Our room was so beautiful, I was very sad to go. Consider getting the imperial suite if you book. We loved the spa services and hung out every night by the pool to enjoy the amazing cocktails! Breakfast buffet has so many options, I would like to see more steak on the dinner menu, but I believe the menu was fixed for the duration of our stay. All in all I felt regal during my stay here, you won’t be disappointed!

We were disappointed to be charged $18 for coffee in the morning given the nightly rate and reputation. We visited the wellness area in the spa and were so offended that cell phones and loud talking was happening/permitted (?) from guests. This ruined our spa experience. The dining and concierge staff were wonderful but the establishment needs to review its priorities and policies.

Villa Cora is amazing. It was almost a shame to leave to go explore Florence! The shuttle service made it so easy to get into town and back. The room was beautiful, the garden was lovely and the pool area was immaculate. We loved the staff, they were so friendly and helpful. My wife and I can’t wait to recommend Villa Cora to anyone going to Florence

The grounds, pool and terrace were beautiful. Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. Seemingly simple amenities like coffee and tea were assessed as extra charges, the shuttle shut down at inconvenient hours and some of the staff acted as though they were doing us a favor with their service. Not at all the level of service of a 5 star hotel.

This is the most amazing hotel and we can not wait to return and stay again. They treated us like true VIP’s and we were upgraded from a standard room to a junior suite! This is the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. This is our second time back and I would not stay at any other place while visiting Florence. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable bedding. The staff are all so friendly and treat you like royalty. The food is gourmet. I can't say enough about The Villa Cora. They have my heart!!!

Karina in the Spa has hands of magic ! And all the staff where amazing and had passion for the Villa & it’s guests which was refreshing! Lorenzo was a stand out here every detail catered for! The closest I came to a gripe was one or two other guests, and when I mentioned to the team, they had a quiet word, were very apologetic and the issue was resolved. In an almost dream-like location, Villa Cora is an exceptional place to stay when visiting Florence, Italy. The property presents like a museum. Walls and ceilings reflecting the artistic beauty of Florence. Each room, modernized of course, still retains the feeling of a Medici palace. Breakfasts...more of a banquet than a meal, was excellent but the real excellence comes from the Staff and its desire to attend to your every need. Quality and service are their goals and this makes a stay at Villa Cora a true vacation. And, although located a bit away from city center, the available shuttle and the simply great drivers, add to the stay. Each short trip to the city becomes a little unexpected private tour of this beautiful region of Italy. If you dream of visiting Florence, Villa Cora does its best to make this dream come true!

Food is great, and the best kept secret is Nicolo, the bartender! Wonderful hotel who took care of our every need the room was impeccable as was the spa and massage which fixed my neck pain. We were lucky to have a few very warn late October days and the pool was still open so were able to swim and eat by the pool. We will return!

Fantastic villa in a beautiful, walkable area, yet away from the touristy hustle and bustle. A shuttle will take you to the center of town and back. Phenomenal staff catering to you every wish. Gardens, pool, spa, restaurant are all top notch. Special kudos to Marco, Lorenzo, the 2 Venessas who tried so very hard to fix what Expedia screwed up and make our experience very special and memorable. The Villa is truly beautiful and renovated. We attended a 60 people private party and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Our deluxe room was very dark and in an adjoining smaller building, no view, no natural light, still very nice. We usually book through Amex Platinum service, but this time we went with Expedia, so at check in we asked about the breakfast which we were told was not included. I requested to make a call to verify, because I was curious about the rate difference between Expedia and Amex Plat. The gentleman called, then apologized and told us that we were in fact receiving all special amenities such as access to the spa and a free breakfast daily. The next 2 days we never made it to breakfast or had the time to use the spa. At 7:30am on check out day we went to the lobby to settle our account and were asked if we wanted to go to breakfast while we waited for 10 minutes for our taxi. We went. I got a cup of coffee and my husband got a croissant and some juice. We said good bye to our friends and left back to the lobby. As we were leaving the lobbyy we were told by the same person who checked us in 3 days earlier that we owe 70 Euros for the breakfast. We were confused and reminded him that 3 days earlier he told us we were getting free breakfast. He said he never said such a thing to us. He also said he never check us in. He was raising his voice. It was beyond embarrassing. He said we did not need to pay, but made a scene. Then said he remembered us. Confused??

Villa Cora is a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location overlooking Florence. The standard of decor and cleanliness is absolutely outstanding. It is about a 20 - 30 minute walk into the city, we loved exploring by foot, but this may be a bit far for the less mobile. There is a courtesy bus, but we preferred not to be time restricted. The pool and spa were relaxing, clean and well maintained. The staff were polite and helpful. Drinks and food are expensive, especially the buffet breakfast at 35 Eu per head, but this was the only criticism I can make. A truly relaxing and special place.

They give a lot of free rides downtown and offer to make dinner reservations for you- but they screwed up the latter and it was kind of embarrassing when we showed up at the restaurant without a reso. Kind of out in the boonies so not a lot of action at this hotel

I recently stayed at Villa Cora on my honeymoon and it was AMAZING! The Villa itself was immaculate and so so beautiful. The staff was so nice and accommodating, and was always checking in to see if we needed anything. The pool is definitely a highlight and the restaurant off the pool is definitely worth having dinner at one night. We will definitely be returning!
