Very beautiful Villa near Florence. We even did a little pre wedding shot at the hotel, it’s so cute. Also dined at the hotel which was nicely priced and tasty. Nice breakfast options as well. Would be amazing if they have a pool as well.

Wonderful property. Room was spacious. Large upscale bathroom. The garden and grounds were superb. One complaint was the bed was too firm. A medium bed is a safe choice for high end hotels but this was definitely firm. Only other was a very weak AC unit. Too hot at night

Add to that that you’re living within an estate immaculately maintain hundreds of acres of olive trees, shrubbery, gardens all coming together for you to be able to walk around and enjoy. Can’t say enough about this place and the staff.

We had a junior suite facing the garden on one side where the patio is. The staff were outstanding on every level. The shuttle was a great advantage as we would park and get a ride down. Having somewhere to put bathroom items would be great. I know we should pack lighter but will never happen.

The staff was so welcoming from the time we arrived. The hotel property is beautiful. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Florence but they also have a shuttle. I’m a walker so I preferred to walk but it does have hills. The breakfast was so delicious I miss it. They have free parking which was important to us because we were renting a car to drive to Tuscany area.

A free hotel van shuttle runs 9am-1pm & 4pm-8pm and it will drop you off at your choice of 2 locations; Piazzale Michelangelo or near Palazzo Vecchia.

Breakfast was included in our rate & it was served everyday. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruits, yogurts, meats, cheeses, juices, coffee machine, etc. Very good.

Rooms have AC units. Don’t open the windows because the bugs will come in quickly.

The staff was generally very nice, although when I checked out the staff refused to give me the Expedia discount on drinks, in contrast to what the staff said when I checked in. That was frustrating. The grounds are lovely, but not an easy walk to the city.

The entire hotel staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating even when we kept their bar open, just to have a glass of excellent wine with our daughter and her boyfriend. Their breakfast was absolutely incredible; all fresh food, and gourmet coffee drinks to die for. The view was amazing and we could’ve spent much more time here. It was a true oasis just outside of Florence.

What a beautiful hotel!! Spacious room, updated nice bathroom, and gorgeous views and property. Very friendly staff, too. Breakfast is awesome and they had plenty GF options too. They also have a shuttle to take you up and down the hill to the main part of town, which was very helpful and meant we didn’t have to pay for taxis hardly at all. Overall an amazing place!

Perched high in the Tuscan countryside, Hotel Villa Agape offers so many wonderful amenities. We enjoyed the views, comfort of the room and bed, wine, dinner, and the outstanding breakfast buffet. The shuttle is also a convenient feature to help guests get to and from the city. All employees were friendly and helpful.

My mom and I had an incredible time at Villa Agape! We visited during our birthday and the staff made us feel so special! The villa even upgraded our room free of charge to a gorgeous room with a view, because the day we checked in was my mom and my birthday! We felt like princesses and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The food was incredible and grounds and gardens around the hotel were magnificent. Villa Agape made our first trip to Florence a memorable one in all the best ways!

A beautiful old building with lovely gardens and staff who were very helpful and courteous.
The hotel was in a peaceful location positioned on a hill above the town. It was only a 30 minute walk along small lanes, offering amazing views of Tuscan countryside and the city of Florence into the city centre. There was also a regular shuttle from the hotel to the city.
Breakfast was excellent with freshly squeezed juice, plenty of fresh fruit including persimmon and pomegranate, as well as an assortment of cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, breads and home baked cakes.

Of all the places we've stayed in this is by far the most comfortable, yet most classy, best service, friendliest staff (to non speaking Italians), always a smile and seeking to make your stay more comfortable. Wonderfuly clean. Even in the winter the gardens are kept up and there are roses and other flowers in bloom. The shuttle service to the edge of the river to get into town is so convenient. And the breakfast...by far beats them all, try the pistachio croissants (and the coffee machine for every type of coffee style you desire). We wished we had booked more days here, it was wonderful.

The facility was great. The room was clean and the staff were mostly excellent. There was a person at the front desk on the friday that we were checking out who seemed a bit short with us that we didn't know that that day was a national strike and reserving a cab to the train would be a potential problem. I am sure she was stressed about the strike but she made us feel like we should know about this. We probably should have, but didn't. Other than this incident, the stay, the breakfast and a dinner were all amazing.

A beautiful historic villa on the hills overlooking Florence. The villa, which sits in a delightful garden, is a haven of peace and tranquility. Our room was clean and spacious, the staff were most helpful, and there is a free, on-demand shuttle bus to the outskirts of the historic centre during mornings and late afternoon/early evening. Great breakfast and dinner too.

Charming Stay at Art Villa Agape, Florence

We stayed at Art Villa Agape in mid-October and we both loved its beauty and location. The villa is nestled in a stunning area just a short walk from the heart of Florence, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city.

The property itself is lovely—elegant and peaceful. While the dinner menu at the villa is limited, the food was delicious. That said, we would have appreciated a bit more variety, so we chose to dine in town most evenings.

During our stay, the weather was quite chilly. We learned that the central heating doesn’t activate until November, but the staff provided a space heater. Initially, we weren’t sure it was working properly. After a few days and an email to the front desk, we discovered the air conditioning had been left on by mistake. Once identified, the issue was resolved promptly. In the meantime, we made do with three thick blankets and didn’t let it affect our enjoyment of the trip.

Despite the minor hiccup, our overall experience was wonderful. Art Villa Agape is a beautiful place with a serene atmosphere and a fantastic location.

Our stay at the Villa Agape was outstanding! The Villa is away from town which was refreshing after a day of exploring Florence. The daily shuttle was very helpful and we also walked 30 minutes too and from the city often. It was a very beautiful walk with good sidewalks. Our room was a Superior Double which included breakfast. This is a must! The breakfast was excellent. The staff here was also exceptional and went out of their way to make our trip comfortable. Do not be afraid that the Villa is away from downtown. It’s a perfect location to relax and enjoy the beauty of Tuscany.

The room and its amenities were adequate , however when we asked the front desk about using the AC we were told it’s not in use for that time of year and so our option would be to use a fan (which was dusty) or open the windows (with the risk of bugs/mosquitos coming inside.)

The property grounds itself is very tranquil and beautiful with an amazing garden and wonderful sunset views. Very appropriate for a quiet, relaxing getaway

The breakfast was good with a variety of options. I think the dinner menu could use a better variety of options.

This was truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. We have been to many upscale hotels. But the staff and service were truly exceptional and accommodating. From speaking about things and actually making things happen. To remembering my birthday two days later with a cake on my birthday unprompted. When we were invited to an Italian wedding, we jumped at the opportunity to return to Villa Agape after an incredible honeymoon stay last year. This trip also did not disappoint. The staff is so incredibly thoughtful and make sure every detail is tended to. The food is delicious (amazing breakfast,) but the real star of the show is the gardens. They take your breath away every time you step outside. I shed a tear as we left because it had been such a magical way to spend a few days. Shuttle to town is super easy and you feel like you’re in a remote, tranquil villa when in reality you are very close to the hustle and bustle of Florence. We look forward to the chance to return to Villa Agape soon.
